Peter (10/5): Character, Comfort and Convenience - Acorn House has so much character, having historical significance with the town. It is a guest house, with independent rooms but a shared guest lounge and dining room. The rooms and beds are very comfortable, and the breakfast made to order and wonderful. Off street parking is provided free of charge, in a town where parking is at a premium, and the town centre is only a couple of minutes walk down the street. We even walked to the lake and the stone circle. The hosts are warm and welcoming too, just adding to the charm of the place

Clare (9/5): One of the best B&Bs! - This place does an amazing breakfast menu with choices for everyone. My husband enjoyed a big breakfast with the most amazing sausage and I loved eggs benedict with smoked salmon, the perfect start to a day of walking! The staff are lovely and clearly accommodate their guests well. We arrived early and it was no problem to park up and check in at midday. We were really thankful for this. There's nothing to dislike at this place, everything is perfect for a visit to the Lakes!

The on site parking was a bonus that is a real help staying over as parking can be at a premium. Breakfast was excellent.

The bed was so comfy but could do with firmer pillows as difficult to get comfy reading my book sitting up, with the type of headboard being metal slats The breakfast was very tasty but strangely no sweeteners available. The shower was roomy but the floor of the shower was very slippy once using the shower gel. Could do with a non slip base and/ or a grab rail. There was also quite a lot of black mildew trpe spots around the bottom of the shower

Our room had the most amazing shower. The breakfast was the star of the stay. Locally sourced, great choice and cheerful team left nothing wanted. Terence (10/5): Weekend away. - Location. Ideally located for Keswick and surrounding areas! Short walk into Keswick Town Square. Very quiet considering the approximation.. Ample parking which is a bonus, Janet and Chris allowed us to book in early which gave us basically all day to spend in Keswick. We really appreciated that gesture! Acorn House is traditional and very comfortable. Rooms are well kept and have everything one could possibly require. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. Checking in/ out is most pleasant and help is on hand with cases bags etc.. There is nothing that is too much trouble. Couldn't ask for any more!! Terence is nothing i/we didn't like...

The bathroom was small with only a small shelf for your toiletries. Also very dark in there. Shower didn't have much pressure

Martin (10/5): Lovely hotel - Good location for getting into Keswick, on site parking and one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Very friendly atmosphere and staff who are very attentive. Our room was in the top of the hotel (which we knew when we booked) and had a roof light. We had heavy rain during the night which was loud on the roof. Wouldn't have been a problem if the weather was dry. Try to get a room on the lower floors if available.
