Guest Reviews
- Lisa (8/5): A lovely, clean place for the night. We didn’t get to experience much of its amenities. -
- Adeline (9/5): - La localisation et le ponton pour admirer le coucher du soleil. 0
- Maria (9/5): -
- Andre (1/5): - Room was clean Price
- Bram (6/5): OK. - Leuk appartement. Er is een IJskast en magnetron maar geen bestek en glazen. Alleen plastic bekertjes.
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
- ROBERT (6/5): Good place for stopping on the keys; nice pool - Swimming pool; access to the dolphin research center and marathon; a fun activity room near the waterfront Room kind of plain- nothing special.
You couldn’t turn on the light and fan separately they were one unit.
so if you wanted the fan at night, you had to have the light on.
- Alison (10/5): Definitely will stay there again! - Everything was great….. except see below. We went to watch the sunset, met the nicest people and got to hear the bagpiper. The toilet in room 3 makes a huge noise each time you sit on it or get up. Since it shares a wall with the office we were afraid you heard us every time. Quite awkward and in need of repair! Otherwise the room was great.
- Lee (4/5): -
- Justin (7/5): My son and I slept very well two of the three nights, and the beds were very comfortable. - The bed was very comfortable. And the shower was nice. I would stay again. The staff was great and it was great to have access to the beach on the property. The pool was also very close to our room #1. On our first night the out door music magically turned on at 3 AM and did not turn off until 6 AM. We had the room that was next to the pool and the speakers were mounted to the same wall that our headboard were up against so even with earplugs I could still hear the music. The front desk staff were very apologetic the next morning and without me asking they took 50% off my first night, which was great! I always appreciate a hotel that will give you a discount without having to be asked for for it.
- Michael (9/5): I will be returning. - Very clean. Lots of fun. Having to leave and going back to work.
- Emma (6/5): Acceptable for a short trip with no kids. - Bed was wonderful thank goodness that made our stay better. Staff was very nice and professional. Facility overall is well kept. Large shower. Window opens. Room was clean for the most part and spacious enough for 2 people. Laundry facility bring quarters no way after 5 p.m. to wash clothes without coins. Rooms need more outlets one power surge strip had to be used for fridge, microwave and our phone chargers. Bathroom outlet is in a terrible location for blow dryers etc. not enough storage space for items. no where to place things in bathroom had to go to store and buy things to hold items for bathroom. Water pressure is low and switches drastically hot or cold when others around turn on their showers, got burnt too many times to count.
- Bentley (5/5): Passable - The room had an odor to it. There was no cleaning during the stay. On the first day of our three day stay we needed a fresh towel. We were told to put the dirty towel outside of our room. It sat by our door for three days. The girl at the front desk was very nice and gave us great recommendations for local places to check out.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Nora (6/5): It was a good stay, nothing special. - It was convenient for our family. The shower did not drain properly and works were coming from the drain. The white head board fell twice behind the bed.
- Susan (8/5): Okay - The resort is in Grassy Key North of Marathon. We thought our Motel room bathroom was tired and could do with an update. There was only one accessible plug socket. There is noise from the road as the Motel rooms face highway 1 directly but we were so tired having travelled from the UK we slept well.
- June (7/5): Great location with excellent pool area + tiki area by water! - Sun Outdoors pool and room were clean & comfortable -staff was exceptional: helpful and friendly!! Booking.com showed the cottages, which I thought that is what we were booking not a hotel room that faced the busy Route 1..kudos to staff - might want to change picture to be more accurate..
- Barton (6/5): Pleasant - The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The road noise was bad.0
- Janice (6/5): Pleasant - The location was great. Our beds were really uncomfortable and very noisy. The box springs need replaced The bathroom shower seemed a little dirty
- Gitana (8/5): Very good -
- Kimberly (10/5): Excellent an can’t wait to go back - Quit an peaceful people are friendly Na
- Mimi (10/5): Overall it was a nice stress-free comfortable stay in a convenient location. - confort, cleanliness, easy check-in, pool and office close to room, quiet and tropical, excellent location across the street from Bongo's Botanical Beer Garden The conditioner smells kind of bad so I couldnt' use it. Shampoo and soap smell good.
- Craig (10/5): Great place to stay. - Close to things to do. Tiki area in back. Nothing
- Steven (7/5): Good location for visiting the keys - Good location to visit keys, nice pool decent rooms Basic for price but guess you pay a premium to stay in the keys
- Ramona (8/5): Our stay was comfortable - The room was comfortable and clean. We liked mostly that it is dog friendly. The ceiling light did not work. The staff accommodated the inconvenience by giving us a credit. We appreciated that.
- Cora (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ronald (9/5): Superb - No breakfast
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ryan (9/5): Superb -
- Tracey (8/5): Very good - Very friendly staff and unit was clean. but for the price it was good. It looked to have a nice tiki bar area, but we did not get to utilize that as we had friends who were staying near by and we spent most of our time there. Room as on the small side with no extra outlets. Also it was located directly on US 1 so was a bit noisy with traffic.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): I would stay there again - Everything there was nice, clean, and fairly quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was very clean. Not overly crowded. If I ever am in the area again, I would stay there again. I would also recommend it others. It was advertised as a kitchenette, but it was not what I expected. There should have been a dining table and there was not.
- Ted (10/5): A departure from the day to day and you have a wonderful view of the gulf. Saw great sunsets !!! - Your views are spectacular, the room was nice and the only thing lacking was one more chair. I found the beds very high to get into, but they were comfy. We loved the sunsets at night over the gulf. I would recommend it to anyone as a great stay on Marathon. Another chair and a mirror. I am 5 ft 2 and mirror was too high to see myself. The lamps were a puzzle to turn on, We truly enjoyed our stay aside from those few things.
- Siobhan (8/5): Very good -
- Sasha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pontus (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (2/5): Very poor -
- Karen (8/5): Very good - The location was great.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -
- Treasa (5/5): Beautiful sunset rituals held by the resort patrons - Amanda and her attentiveness. The community of the resort. The people who were part of the resort. The sunsets. No hot water. That is all
- Mark (4/5): Won't be back again which is a shame - The location in the Keys is a great spot and the view of the Gulf Sunset is awesome. Room was extremely small, not much room. Bathroom door did not close, shower was setup for short people and water temp was not controllable. No room service or assistance. Disappointed overall for the price.
- Janice (7/5): Good -
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Gina (10/5): Terrific! - It was an RV/motel park. The entire property was spotless and amenities were great. Also, the event coordinator was friendly and inviting. Would definitely recommend
- Caroline (7/5): Good -
- Felicia (9/5): Superb -
- Angela (8/5): Short stay, but enjoyed time there. Everyone was friendly. - Good location Marathon Key. Room was small but adequate, clean. Overall, nice facility. Lovely, evening sunsets. Noice from Hwy 1 was somewhat bothersome.
- Dawn (9/5): FUN - It was great that they had a New Years Eve party right at the clubhouse. We will go there again. Couldn't reach the shampoo/conditioner pumps in the shower.
- Ashley (8/5): Facilities were new and clean but front desk staff and cleaning of rooms was poor - Wonderful maintenance and BINGO lady! Front desk hours and they did not offer to clean room or get garbage. We had to bring our dirty towels to get new.
- Sean (7/5): My husband truly believed he was experiencing mild/mildew symptoms - No breakfast, location good, beds comfortable Bathroom needs a little upgrading a door that opens smoothly and doesn’t scrape on the floor which makes hard to open
- Wright (9/5): Superb -
- Larissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - My only complaint is the beds had a lot of noise.
The beds were not awful but not great either.
Worn out.
- Glenn (10/5): Exceptional - Nice and safe Pool room and sea area
- William (1/5): Horrible and this was for mt son's 12th birthday. - Small little Motel like rooms we received. Check in at 4pm no one around to ask for different accommodations. Toilet wasn't bolted to the ground properly. Never saw any staff whatsoever, until check out was never asked how our stay was. Ceiling was leaking in 1 room from rain on Saturday night. Would never recommend or stay here again...
- Eugene (1/5): Good place for a quickie - Proximity to many activities Rooms were very dated. No closet. No outlets. No space for hanging clothes.
- Anthony (2/5): Better places to stay at a cheaper rate. - Easy to find. Clean room. Lovely view at the very rear of the site looking out to the ocean. Coming from the U.K we realised that the price you originally see is really not the full price you pay as there was a resort fee and 3 other taxes added on to the original amount. The room we were given was right on the main road which was extremely noisy due to the constant flow of traffic.
The headboard fell off the wall and to our astonishment there was a cockroach in the bathroom.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kristina (10/5): We loved it! - Great location, very comfortable!! No complaints!
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (8/5): Very good - Clean room and convenient location. Access to recycling. Could use some sound proofing - easy to hear people in the room next door and the road traffic.
- James (3/5): Needed a room for overnight sleep on a busy trip, spent about 8hrs here total and showered before leaving. I would not s - It was available. Bed small and average quality. Room close to highway with little to insulate from noise/light. Bathroom door would not even close due to misaligned or swollen door frame. Greasy feel on the floor.
- Pannulla (9/5): Superb - Clean and comfortable. Decent price and super easy to find. Not enough parking...
- Tyler (5/5): We didn’t expect a lot, but you can’t anywhere you go these days. - The room was clean. The rest of the property seemed pretty well kept up. The room could have been arranged more efficiently and the shower was small and no lighting. The pool was closed well before dark and we never were able to use it.
The laundry room could use a little bit better AC and maybe a tv.
- Sawn (10/5): Relaxing in the Keys - the room was very nice and comfortable. The best part for us was walking out to the water's edge and watching the sunset in the Tiki Hut no complaints.
- Kathrin (7/5): Good -
- Mazur (8/5): Very good - We enjoyed our stay for one night, there is a nice area on the back where we took walks and watched sunset. I would stay there again. We ate at Island Fish Company they have nice outdoor covered area with a view on marina and Conch Custard was a perfect place for ice-cream.
- Cathryn (7/5): nic - nice modern refurbishment, comfortable bed, lovely pool, really nice dock area with great sunset views The noise from the road. they need to triple glaze the windows and build a wall to block the noise as the rooms feel like they are practically on the roadside.
- Philippe (9/5): Superb - meet my expectations nothing but a little noise from the road
- Scott (8/5): Great facilities, nice vibe, good price. - Great facilities for a motel. Gas BBQ area, pool and marina to watch the sun set. Gas fire pits, sun loungers and club houses…. really worth a stay over enroute travelling through the keys. If you stay in the basic accommodation, be aware this faces the South 1… so can be noisy with cars, but nothing that a pair of ear plugs can’t sort!
- Alysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alysa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marcel (8/5): Great stay! - Great accommodation. Easily accessible by car. The camp grounds are really well maintained. Great WiFi, nice pool and great outdoor deck.
- Dennis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Great pillows!!! Zilch
- Alison (8/5): Very good -
- Lentsa (10/5): We had a great stay - It was clean, quite and accommodating.. The pool wasn’t heated
- Blair (8/5): Very good -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emilio (8/5): Very good -
- Nancy (9/5): perfect spot to explore the lower keys - pool, waterfront, room size,
- Jamie (8/5): Very good -
- Federico (5/5): Okay for the price compared to other accommodations in the area, but don't expect too much from it. - Very convenient to go around the Keys, it's located right on the main street at a short distance from Marathon and Leyton. Price/quality is good for the area, where every other accommodation is usually at least $50/100 more per night. They didn't let me know before my stay that there would have been construction on site, with lots of noise from early mornings. They also painted all of the units while I was there - something else they did not mention to me before my stay. The Cleaningness of the room has to be drastically improved.
- Rosanna (10/5): Exceptional - This place was perfect, great staff. Beautiful views
- Melissa (9/5): Superb - The view of the water was beautiful. Sombrero beach was minutes away and the dolphin encounter was next door,
- James (5/5): Looked like the motel was being renovated, should have been closed until completed. - Room was clean except the floor. Grounds and pool were nice. AC was quiet. No table, no chair, no clock, tiny TV, no closet, office only open 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Sat +Sun when we weren't there so couldn't get towels or toilet paper had to buy our own.
- Stanley (10/5): Clean and comfortable! - The property was extremely clean and beds were super comfortable. N/A
- Alayna (2/5): Very poor - Clean room, comfy beds, mini fridge, microwave, ceiling fan, AC, soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower If you as a hotel owner are planning on renovating your hotel while guests are staying there, you should notify them to let them know the inconveniences they should expect if they decide to continue with the booking. At least discount their room rates. We were exhausted from an 11 hour trip and were woken up extremely early to them jackhammering the pavement right out in front of our room. To pay nearly half a grand for two nights and to have to deal with loud machinery sounds and vibrations that literally shook our room walls was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. I can understand if it was the state that was doing construction on the main road, but this was construction on the company property. Would not recommend.
- Allen (8/5): Very good - Love the location, was perfect for visiting all the keys They started working on the facility on about dat 7, I was there for 10 days. Little surprised they would do it during spring break but other than the noise, it was an exceptional stay, great staff
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Lori (9/5): Superb -
- Nigel (10/5): Well appointed and friendly and fun place to stay. with sunset views. - The room was comfortable, modern and clean. Tracey at reception was very helpful. We loved the watching the sunsets from their lovely quayside and thoughtfully provided benches. The RV and motorhome residents created a friendly vibe making our stay a fun one. Superb bar restaurant 3 minutes walk away. Music for the pool from speaker right outside our room (room 6) which was unecessary as the room was no where near the pool. However it was sorted for us.
- James (10/5): N/A - I liked the pool and the clubhouse area! Also very nice sitting area in Gulf of Mexico N/A
- Susan (8/5): Very nice clean property. Was impressed with property overall. - Rooms are on smaller size but you really only need to sleep
- Graham (8/5): Two very nice days! - The staff was great.
- Linda (9/5): Nice spot halfway down the Keys - We liked the updated rooms, the water pressure in the shower, the air conditioning AND a fan, and the amenities that were in the shower (rather than little plastic bottles). Lots of pillows! And there’s a nice area near the Clubhouse where you can watch the sunset. We didn’t like that there was nowhere to hang anything up - no hangers or closet. and there was highway noise due to the fact that our room was facing the front.
- Sharen (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lynette (10/5): This place is a gem! - The property was very well kept and recently updated. There were plenty of cabinets to keep clothes and other belongings. The property had a great RV section and boat dock. There were great seating areas by the water. Don't miss it if you go!
Staff was very friendly and helpful!
