Guest Reviews

- Benseddik (9/5): - Tout. Cette maison etait le domicile de ma tanteدار عمتي quand j’etais enfant
La retrouver fut un bonheur pour moi Absence une tv dans la chambre
- tao (10/5): Looking for Issam. He is a good man - Good
- Alexander (6/5): - Reception was very friendly and helpful and the roof top terrace was nice and big Place was rather humid and damp. Kitchen was very dirty and had very little equipment (not even a cutting knife or a chopping board). Double bed was made of two separate and hard mattresses.
- Janel (8/5): Exceptional accommodations for the price. Omar and team were very welcoming and helpful. -
- Jakub (8/5): -

- Simon (9/5): Superb - Nice riad close to the city center for a nice price. Rooms were beautiful and well equipped. The roof terrace offered great views over the city The beds were a little hard and we felt that the roof terrace could have been a little more comfortable.
- Žygimantas (10/5): Really good - Everything was overall great. Hosts were nice, welcome tea, room was spacious and clean, breakfast good. The cleaning lady even folded my clothes :) Very nice terrace with a view. They also organised early breakfast when I needed it. I liked the shampoo and shower gel - really pleasant smell. Just some very minor things. A little difficult to find in Fes medina but that’s just the way the city is where google maps don’t work.
Can be a bit noisy from the outside. Again, not the fault of riad - just the way medina is - narrow streets and you can hear people. Noise plugs helped.
Also the room I booked and wanted by mistake was given to another guest. But it got sorted out with solution.
- Chiharu (7/5): Good - Big room and beautiful terrace Stinky bathroom and dirty. Not picked up previous customers hair in the bathtub, not good breakfast…seemed like someone’s leftovers jam.
- Armin (10/5): Exceptional - Our hosts were super welcoming and did everything to make us feel as comfortable as possible. The riad is very authentic and super impressive. We had a great time, thank you!
- Zuzanna (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the place! The best rijad in Fez! Omar was extremely helpful and caring throughout the whole stay. He made sure we were satisfied with our trip and provided us with great service. We would also recommend the breakfast (especially on the terrace with magnificent view). Definitely book this place if you’re coming to Fez:)
- Roberts (9/5): Superb - Great location in a small street but also very close to the old medina area! The room was very beautiful and the riad also have a great terrace with a lot of space for everyone.
The staff is the best - friendly and helpful.
Really recommended!
- Nicolas (7/5): Good -

- Daiva (10/5): Cozy place in good location - Very cozy riad. Also friendly staff. We were able to leave our luggages after check out. The employee from the riad met us and escorted to the riad and helped with luggages. Comfy bed, air condition/heating. One night lamp wasn’t working but guys exchanged it very quickly. Just two small details. The water taps are wobbling , would be nice to fix it. Socket in pink room behind the cabinet is broken, not possible to charge phone there.
- C (8/5): Nice interior, easy staff - + The bedroom has a nice interior & big enough
+ The hot water shower works well
+ Isyam was friendly & easy, both on check in & at the breakfast
+ The Riad was helpful, told us before our arrival, where the ideal taxi stop is
+ The highlights in the old Medina are minutes walking away from the Riad
+ No need to knock the door or ding dong everytime we entered the Riad - Its location might a bit confusing if you are through the souk. Make sure you have either a tour guide or a working google maps especially on the evening
- The purple bedside lamps were so dusty
- The bathroom smells quite musty
- Bipana (8/5): Very good -
- Shravani (9/5): Good value for money - Really beautiful and clean, the staff is super friendly and helpful . Not a lot is offered in terms of breakfast
- Raluchia (8/5): Very good - • big room • not as clean as desired
- Janelle (10/5): Exceptional - Great stay with very nice and helpful staff!
- Er (7/5): Amazing place and architecture but toilet while clean feels unclean - Old building, amazing design and parts the toilet could use some renovation -
- Olim (8/5): Very good - Beautiful design, quiet, big rooms. Good music The breakfast lacked variety and specifically milk
- Robbe (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Saville (10/5): Authentic Fes - I cannot recommend this riad highly enough. It was fantastic value for money. Nothing was too much trouble. The experience was authentic.
The hospitality was par excellence. I felt a sense of peace in the riad. The high ceilings, the architectural authenticity. The tiles, the generous space in the rooms. The quiet.
The location was easy to find and within a few steps you lose yourself in the joy of the medina.
The photos are accurate and we had a lovely time in Fes.
- Andrea (10/5): Good location, clean, the room was big and the bed very comfortable.. also the staff very nice - Clean comfortable and the staff was amazing
- Ana (9/5): Superb - The Riad is very beautiful, the location is simply perfect and Yssam is very helpful.
- Benedetta (8/5): Very good - The place is beautiful, just like the pictures. Staff was super helpful and friendly to us! If you get there form the medina like we did (because our driver left us at the blue gate), it can be quite tricky to get there as you have to go through a long part of the medina’s Main Street, which is full of people and vendors. So make sure you are dropped off at the closest gate
- Thế (7/5): Good stay in the old medina - The breakfast (included) and the dinner (extra) were tasty and well-prepared. Very comfortable bed and lovely terrace for sunset. Staffs are helpful, especially on the day we leaving, remind us to get up early and they help carry luggages and catch a taxi for us in morning of the festival, I am very appreciated that. The smell from the street sometimes still gets into the building and the room.
No card payment
- Salwa (10/5): PERFECT STAY - The BEST road in Fes and in Morocco. Location is perfect. Service is absolutely outstanding. Mohsin and Issam are extremely kind, very helpful, and always available. The rooms are very spacious (with lots of books about Morocco and the city of Fes), the architecture of the Riad is stunning, and the rooftop is out of this world! It gives a wonderful view of the old Medina. Beds are very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious! We are so glad to have chosen this Riad and we will definitely come back. Many thanks Mohsen and Issam for making this trip to Fes wonderful! Everything was perfect. Beyond expectations.
- Kris (9/5): Superb -
- Öncü (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anil (4/5): Service was excellent, facilities need upgrades. - Issan and the manager went out of the way to make our stay very comfortable. Great customer service. I applaud them. The location was unexpected. The surrounding was not clean. The odor from the toilet was at times, extremely bad, despite closing the bathroom door. Guess the plumbing needs revamping.
Breakfast needs some variety.
- Roxanne (9/5): Beautiful room and common space - Beautiful property and room. Recommended.
Approximately 4 min walk to the souk and tourist area. Absolutely no issues during daylight time but would not recommend after dark.
- Stephen (8/5): Very good - In terms of the riad itself, everything was very good, except perhaps a clogged sink, but that's fine. Staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was good. The actually riad is really lovely and full of books. UNFORTUNATELY, I feel obliged to discuss a safety concern. Before explaining what happened, I should, for context, clarify that my wife and I were in Fes during Eid which meant there were few tourists and many shops were closed, making the medina far less active than usual from what I understood. For additional context, I have travelled to close to 60 countries, I am 1m88, trained for years in BJJ and some MMA, and I am far from a paranoid tourist. All this to say I should not be the ideal looking target for crime.
The short version of the story is that we escaped by a hair being mugged (or worse) by a group of 8 teenagers in the very dark alley between the main tourist street and the riad. While we were told there are cameras and undercover police on many streets in Fes, the two alleys (50m-100m stretch) going off the main tourist street to the riad are simply unsafe at night.
This is obviously no fault of the riad, and I am genuinely sorry about the financial impplications this comment may have for them, but it seems important to mention. We ended up leaving early the next morning and skipping our last reservation night at the riad out of safety concerns.
- La (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect .the workers are great
- Marven (9/5): Superb -
- Marven (9/5): A very good Riad. - Location and very accommodating and helpful staff. Being outside of the main streets was very restful. The guide that they referred was also excellent. Mohammed is also recommended as a guide None.
- Mia (10/5): We had a very good time with nice hosts, good breakfast and great located - It was a great location in the Medina and super nice staff that was available all the time. The rooftop terrace is another highlight and it is absolutely worth the price!
- Anna (8/5): Great price for the stay - good location and accommodating host! - The property is in a good location - 5 min walk inside the medina but not too far in so that you get lost. The host and worker were very friendly and would help with what we would ask for - water in the evening, taxi fares, earlier breakfast etc. The riad is very pretty, just a little dated - some floor tiles are loose and the shower can be difficult to operate (no hook to hold the shower head and the metal can get very hot).
- Omama (8/5): Nice and save Riyad - The room was big and beautifully decorated. I was comfortable and loved the riyad. Essam was really helpful and a kind person that welcomed me and was ready to help. I got the room on the first floor and it has a big traditional type window with view on the inner courtyard, i loved that. The bathroom was a bit smelly, am not sure why. Also upon arrival i was a bit worried about the location as i was travelling alone, but i get used to it and managed to find my way without worries.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Polite staff. Very big and clean room and bathroom. Nice view from the terrace! Total value for money ☺️
- Tommaso (9/5): Superb - The hotel is and rooms are beautiful, and the price is very affordable for this quality.
The staff was ready to help us and solve our problems.
The location is in the Medina so it's very comfortable.
Good breakfast. We had a problem with the hot water, and we weren't able to have a bath easily.
The wifi wasn't so strong for the rooms on the second floor.
- Nikki (8/5): Very good value. Felt really luxurious. Particularly appreciated the help to get a taxi when we left. - Really big rooms, lovely 3-tier terrace - all very peaceful and calm. When we left, the guy went to get us a porter and then helped us get a taxi to the CTM station. Very helpful indeed! The rooms are clean and comfortable, but the beds are quite firm. Just so you are warned! The riad is a little out of the central area - this is both good and bad. In the evening, just ignore the young lads who tell you that the way you are going is closed….
- Sacha (8/5): Great value for money! Sweet staff! Good location! Clean and big rooms. - This place is great value for money!!
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is good, it is clean and the rooms are big with great showers! The WiFi worked very well, the air conditioner was effective and the hot water worked. Which is not always to be expected in Morocco.
The view from the rooftop is quite amazing and the location is very good because you’re not in the middle of the Old Medina, so it is calm at night and easy to get to the gate where you can get a cab to the new city.
If you want to stay a nice, well located and clean place in Fes, but don’t want to pay a ton of money, then this is the perfect place!
- Kelly (9/5): Pleasant stay with helpful staff. - Beautiful riad, down a quiet street of the old medina. The room had heating which was perfect in December as it gets cold in the evenings. Very friendly and helpful staff, who also helped us organise a guide for us to visit the medina (without getting lost) and also walked us to nearby restaurants so not to lose our way. No dislikes.
- Hajar__b (10/5): Staying at this wonderful Moroccan Riad was an absolute delight! - Staying at this wonderful Moroccan Riad was an absolute delight!
My mother and I were truly enchanted by our unforgettable experience here, from the captivating ambiance to the impeccable service provided by the amazing staff.
The location couldn't have been better; being nestled in the heart of the Medina allowed us to explore the vibrant streets and markets easily, yet returning to the Riad felt like entering a serene sanctuary Everything was perfect
- De (6/5): The terrace offers an amazing view over Fez. - I appreciated our host Mohssine. He was very helpful to me since I had a dental emergency and he helped me in contacting a dentist.
His cousin Issam was very helpful getting us cabs and helping with our luggage.
The riad is beautiful and Mohssine takes great pride in it! We had an issue of cigarette smoke getting into our room. There was no window to the outside so we could not get rid of it.
Our bathroom was long and narrow and there wasn't room for our toiletries. Mohssine did provide us with a table so we had a surface to set our toiletries on.
Breakfast was not good at all. The coffee was awful and the eggs were cold. They could also add fresh orange juice to the breakfast offerings.
- Ouiea (8/5): Very good -
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Karla (7/5): great for 1 night stay - Okay so this will be my opinion as a female solo traveler.
Hospitality and service of people working there was amazing! They would always accompanied me when I needed to be picked up or dropped off which I’m so grateful for! Like service is definitely on the top! WiFi was very good too and views from terrace were amazing! Breakfast was also nice (even tho there was no milk for my coffee) but can’t imagine having same things every day. Would get bored of that but since I only ate there once it was great! Riad looks nice too and was clean. Location wasn’t the greatest. It looked a bit dodgy like specially if I wouldn’t be accompanied I’d be very scared!
The drainage wasn’t working properly. It took ages for water from shower to disappear. And the thing I didn’t like the most was that you couldn’t flush toilet paper. If I read about it in reviews I wouldn’t book this riad as for me personally it’s unhygienic & gross. Also the bin wasn’t emptied after first night there.
- Tina (8/5): Very good - The Riad is pretty ,mohssen and issam are lovely and welcoming and very helpful, they went beyond what was expected. I stayed in this road for 6 nights, the breakfast was the same everyday, they could have have put a little bit more effort but the owner of the Riad doesn’t care, this has been a complaint before. You can see previous reviews from different customers. The location is the worst thing in the world, as a female solo traveler this was creepy and had the staff not picked me up and dropped me to the taxi stand it would be a mess. Best to be in a group booking Riad.
- Tina (8/5): Very good - The staff mohssen and issam took care of me, when I needed a charger they lent me, I needed to get in and out of the street to go to the taxi they came with me and picked me up when I got back. They offered to get me dinner when I didn’t feel like going out, excellent people. The location of this Riad is the worst possible thing, it’s in a little alley and getting in and out is a headache if no one is there to guide you. If your a group of boys and girls then it’s fine, but for a solo female traveler this was the downside.
- Jasmina (10/5): Exceptional - The attentiveness and kindness of everyone at the riad.
The wonderfully decorated rooms.
Amazing rooftop.
- Federico (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, well furnished and welcoming staff
- Ralf (9/5): Superb - Amazing value for money, the rooms are palatial, the courtyard beautiful, it's a serene piece of paradise in chaotic Fes.
- Emily (8/5): Very good - I liked the location because it was in the Medina but still accessible to main road. About a 5 minute walk from the Bab Guissa gate which was a main pickup and drop off point for us (especially in carless Medina). The wifi was strong. The rooftop had a nice view. The staff was always available. They arranged pick up for us at the airport and met us at the road to escort us to the riad. I think the rooftop had more potential, hopefully the owners can add some more plants and seating up there as it really is a beautiful space.
- Martin&teresa (9/5): Superb - Nothing to complain. Nice Riad!
- Maira (8/5): Practical stay in Fez - Location (Taxi can leave you at the Bar Guissa Tor then just 7 min walk)
Rooftop terrace (you can see the Medina from here)
Breakfast (traditional moroccan breakfast - egg, marmalade, orange jus, mint tee, coffee, Harcha) FYI:
The place is nice but for olderly people or if you have a heavy luggage it could be a challenge to go up the stairs (In case you get a room at the last floor).
The rooms are really clean and the place as well, but somethings it comes a strong smell from the toilets/drain
- Stephanie (9/5): Nice quiet spot away from the hustle of the medina - The riad is well located within walking distance from the main hustle of the medina but on a regular street where local people live and sit out on the street, the owners were super nice and accommodated our early breakfast when needed, the riad is really clean and quiet (although typical of the style sound does carry through the building), loads of books around both in the rooms and in the patio. Nice sunset views on the terrace. Breakfast was the same every day (it would've been nice to have some variety) - bread and pancakes with honey, jam and a boiled egg - which was really nice but we would've like some fruit or yoghurt or something. They also didn't have any milk for the coffee. The roof terrace is a nice space but, as other reviewers have said, it needs some love to make it match the interior of the riad.
Also our shower was handheld which was ok but not the most comfortable
- Alina (9/5): Superb - I really enjoyed my stay in La Chemineè Bleue as the staff was very welcoming and polite. The host was super nice and breakfast boy was very friendly l, he even came to meet me by the gates as I didn't have roaming to see the way to Riad. It's location is perfect, main attractions are just few min.walk away. My room was more than big enough. Everything was clean. Breakfast was more than enough to keep me going until late lunch. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and making my stay in Fes even better
- Christine (10/5): I loved this place and it’s owners who were more than kind - This a beautiful Riard, the interior design is just so tasteful and obviously well loved by its owners. It was a pleasure to spend time there. Nothing
- David (8/5): A great stay. - Very central and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a huge impressive room as well. It's a small thing but there was nowhere to put things. No shelves or wardrobe. Only one hook to hang towels. Again only a small unimportant thing.
- Elhr (8/5): Very good -
- Maxim (8/5): Very good - Comfortable bed, big bathtub. Riad located close to tourist attractions. First night there was a big cockroach on the wall next to the bed. This made me more alert. However the riad and my room were clean.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (10/5): Authentic place to feel the atmosphere - Amazing stay! The host of the place was very attentive and caring. Thank you for everything! I would only suggest organizing card payment in the future, that would be really convenient 😊
- Judy (10/5): Fantastic stay. Good location. Highly recommend - Beautifully decorated and very traditional style Riyadh. Helpful and kind staff. highly recommend. Nice breakfast and room had air-conditioning. Nice terrace. It could only be improved a bit by making the comfortable sofa area on the terrace with a shady canopy. Otherwise wonderful.
- Khalfan (8/5): Very good -
- Andreas (9/5): Great place in the Medina, loved it - Amazing Riad in a beautiful location. Great value for money and close to everything, incl. parking. Loved the rooms on the ground floor and the rooftop terrace. Much recommended. Rooms are a bit noisy (you can hear other guests), but that's normal for an old building. Staff was alright, but fell a bit short of other hosts we had.
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anton (10/5): Great place to stay - very nice place to stay. Clean and very atmospheric. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Molnár (9/5): Miracle in Fes! - Beyond your expectations! Vrey close to the medina, you'll find a magic, behind a brown wall house with a small door. Real moroccon style house, with fantastic staff and service. You can feel like in a tale from your childhood. Beautiful luxurry room, authentic design restaurant, and lobby. Breakfast is also a wonder. Absolutely recommended! There is no shelf for anything in bathroom. Rooftop is run down a little bit
- Marko (10/5): Exceptional - Nices room close to terrace. Very good breakfast. The host was always ready to help in anything. Arranged us taxi from and to eairport for 20€ each.
The location is perfect. Coulpe minutes by foot from the Medina. Realy great option for a stay in Fez.
- Luke (8/5): Very good -
- Piotr (8/5): A well-priced hotel in the city centre, the rooms are tidy and clean. - Good breakfast, communicative and helpful staff, clean rooms a huge plus for helping to print tickets to avoid confusion at the airport. Beautiful terrace on the roof :) Good location, because from this place it is very close to the centre. However, there are a lot of swindlers in the area, you have to be careful.
- Gaia (8/5): Very good - The riad is very clean and the staff Very polite The rooms downstairs are not private you can hear everything and see people from the windows.
The breakfast was little bit poor

- Yujia (10/5): Exceptional - First off, lemme tell ya, that hotel's design is proper stunning, innit? It's got that traditional vibe, all pretty and fancy. And the rooftop terrace is just a bleedin' amazing spot to take in the whole city. At night, ya can sit there, soak in the views, and it's an experience you ain't gonna forget.
Also, the staff at that hotel are top-notch, they're dead friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make ya feel comfortable and welcome, and give ya all sorts of tips and advice to make your trip more enjoyable and memorable.
Lastly, I gotta say, I highly recommend this hotel, 'cause it's got a unique style and vibe to it. If you're after a traditional, cozy accommodation that also offers a breathtaking view of the city, then this place is the business, mate.
- Sanam (10/5): Beautiful, Peaceful Riad in the Medina but away from Traffic! - The staff were WONDERFUL!! Osman, the manager was fluent in English which was a huge benefit in communication. The other folks were also very kind and caring. I was fasting for Ramadan and they accommodated me by giving me breakfast before dawn.
The riad itself is also beautiful and in a very peaceful location away from the main streets. We were able to sleep in and rest after some other stressful experiences at our last place that we had to leave. They also have a gorgeous terrace and the facilities are well-maintained. Osman also offered to store my luggage in a safe spot. They have plenty of space if you ever need that. I hope to be back soon! 😃 Everything was great. Wish I had more time in my day to spend on the terrace!

- Andrea (9/5): Nice - The were very welcoming . The place is new so is in perfect shape.
Facilites are comfortable.
The owner took the time to provide recommendations of what to visit. A minimal thing, no place to hang the towels. But that is nothing.
- Marina (10/5): Best riad in Fez - We loved every second of our stay. I thinks it's the best value for money I have ever been in. The place is stunning, the decoration, the terrace... Very clean and comfortable. Our room was huge! Staff was amazing, very caring, they even took us to the restaurant at night so we didn't have to walk the medina on our own. Breakfast was beautiful!
