- Wood (1/5): Terrible - Nothing We couldn't stay and cancelled. Unhealthy environment ..no water in room..tap in basin not connected..chewing gum stuck to bed head.
Accomodation should not have been advertised

- Philip (9/5): -
- Luke (7/5): Great stay, great pub - Great, friendly pub with good prices and good food in a lovely town. Mattresses a little old and soft. Water smells a bit from the bore. Everything clean, hygienic and tidy however.

- Peter (4/5): - The only reason to stay at this old and poorly maintained hotel is the daily chicken racing at 5 pm. This was unique and good fun.
The hotel was cheap and for that you got poor shared facilities, We didn’t eat at the pub but the actual room was one of the worst I’ve ever been in.
- Hayden (6/5): -
- Jason (4/5): - Definitely Australian culture…. Not pretty
- Darrell (5/5): -
- Colin Andersen (8/5): - Chook races and food Dark stairs
- Gallagher (5/5): Cat in my room - No Cold showers

- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gill (5/5): Passable - Friendly staff. Linen was clean. Shower and toilet facilities Room needs a good wipe and dust.
- Tamara (10/5): Beautiful old Queenslander Pub with unique entertainment - would stay again! - Loved the feel of this beautiful old Queensland pub. The staff were friendly and chatty and Ben’s Chicken Race provided a fun filled evening that we hadn’t experienced elsewhere. Rooms were basic, but considering the economic price, adequate. There’s no Optus coverage in the area, but the pub provides Wifi so that doesn’t really matter.
- Grace (9/5): Superb - The atmosphere was great! Everything and more you can ask for in country pub. The people and staff were extremely welcoming, as soon as you walk in we fit right in like we were locals ourselves. No complaints
- Caroline (6/5): Pleasant - Bens chicken race was really entertaining Rooms are very spartanian
- Meaghan (8/5): Excellent value for money - Well located, great entertainment, facilities and staff. Also pet friendly
- Julie (5/5): Passable - Staff were friendly. Chicken Race was freat fun. We had the specials for dinner - cheap price but nice food. Every part of the hotel was neglected and rundown, with no evidence of any improvments happening. Seems like minimal cleaning is done. No tea making area for guests. Definitely a case of cheap being inferior. It's rough and ready, more like a cheap backpackers. It's a shame, as I could envision a comfortable and inviting place if the work was put in to improve it.
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Valda (5/5): Passable - The food was great ,and the chickens 🐔 were excellent
- Kerri (8/5): Very good - Lots of fun at the races. Great meal and excellent staff at the bar Smoking on all of the verandah. We are non smokers with smokers smoking outside our window. Easy fix to minimise the smoking area. Wouldn't stop us staying again. It was a great spot to stay
- Valerie (8/5): Very good -
- Allan (8/5): Highly recommended , great value and fun. - Good value, staff created upbeat mood, very efficient. Would have been nice to have some communal tea making facility and breakfast option
- Ruchira (1/5): Please booking.com don’t keep property like this in your page - Very scary location not recommended to one person by itself looks like ghosts everywhere Every thing
- Mikaela (5/5): Passable - I loved the friendly of people but not good for ph reception if u don't have telegram ph but u have free wi fi thier Cold and sharing bathroom and windows are open and neighbors can see in as over looks the chook races
- Bettina (8/5): Very good - It was getting late, the last night of our trip from Darwin to Brisbane for my daughter, myself and her cat !
We were welcomed by the staff , had dinner in the restaurant and settled into our clean cosy beds.
- Ted (8/5): It's friendly, safe, comfy, and great value - The staff where friendly and helpful right from the start.
All the basic facilities you'd want are there and they work, even if they are somewhat dated.
Food at the bistro was made hot on the spot and was good value for money. The venue is dated and in need of an update and whilst the facilities are functional and clean, they do show the wear of many years.
If you don't have a touch of luxury about your life, none if it is bad enough to be of concern.
- Garry (6/5): - It was old-fashioned but quaint.
Our room was a little unsafe because of the electrical points.
- Dianne (8/5): Very good -
- Deon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carrol-anne (8/5): Will visit again - Love the ambience
- David (4/5): Disappointing - None was on offer .
- Matthew (7/5): Perfect for a short stay. Building shows signs of its age but it was clean. -
- Pat (7/5): Good - Very friendly staff, great entertainment especially the Chicken Races. Good pub food.
Comfy beds, air con and access onto the huge verandah. It is very basic pub accomodation. There are no frills and no fridge in the room. We were given the option of cancelling the room if we weren't happy. We loved the no nonsense basic old pub room, it was like going back in time!
- Craig (9/5): Superb - Atmosphere, staff, and chicken races Old pub beds.
- Furlyn (8/5): Very good -
- Katarzyna (8/5): Unexpected fun - Great atmosphere, food and attractions- chicken racing Old rooms and bathroom, but generally clean

Staff quarters in same area- a little noisy when they finished for the evening.

- Kerry (10/5): Perfect for us traveller’s to lay down our tired heads.. Thank you - We ordered Dinner for 4 We should have stayed longer 🙂
- Richard (4/5): - A very old and run down Queensland outback pub. Staff were friendly enough and at $59 per night you probably can't ask for much more. You just need to know what you are paying for before booking. If you are happy with knowing, it's very basic pub accommodation with shared facilities - all good.

- Tor (3/5): Never again - Good food and beer The light outside our room was on all night and no curtains to make it dark.
The wifi did not work properly
Our food in the fridge was stolen during the night
The ladies toilet was a mess, bad maintenance and dirty.
- Rod (8/5): Very good -
- Glenn (10/5): Convenient. Car park. great staff and had a really good sleep. - Nice clean quiet rooms. With clean towels on the bed for our stay. Nothing bad at all
- Julieann (10/5): - Great country pub with lots of fun to be had
- Robert (8/5): .Tambo is a great place to stop and the Royal Carrangarra is not to be missed - nice old style country outback pub with loads of character In terms of value for money this pub lived up to expectations .The Publican and his staff were great and the meals were very generous- infact, massive !The highlight was the colored chicken race at the back of the pub .Its worth coming to this hotel just to see this charity event that is well attended and runs for 6 nights a week
- Erika (5/5): Good for a roof over your head - The chicken races Bit grubby
- Brooke-lazzaris (9/5): Superb -
- Leigh (7/5): The room and facilities were clean, such good value for money!! - Friendly staff and always a great price! Wifi wasn’t great, only really worked well in the lobby area, didn’t work in room

- Cherie (8/5): Very good -
- Travis (7/5): Good -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (4/5): Grim. - The staff were friendly. The room was filthy, beds were uncomfortable and bathrooms were unclean. It was very cold and all the doors were left open all night.
- Scott (3/5): Poor - The pub and staff were great. Food was good and beer was cold. Great atmosphere The accommodation was pretty average. Sheets were clean but had stains all over them. Mattress was pretty average. Doona was thin so got cold at night and no heating in room. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was still disappointed. I won't be staying on way back.
- Davin (7/5): Good - Cheap accommodation
