Guest Reviews
- Martin (8/5): Good value town centre accommodation - Location in Newtown town centre, close to shops and restaurants - excellent Thai restaurant nearby. Room and facilities all excellent. Staff friendly and excellent breakfast. Not easy to know where to park, despite instructions. We were in room 8 at the top of 2 flights of twisty stairs - not easy with a big case or if you're elderly. Ask for a ground floor room.
- Georgina (8/5): Am all round great place to stay - Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Great location Minor details. Parking not ideal TV didn't work
- Glyn (8/5): Ideal. Would definitely stay there again. -

Very good communication, great staff Nothing
- PATRICIA (10/5): Very friendly host. Beautiful room. Excellent breakfast with individually prepared fresh fruit - Spacious room (we were upgraded to superior room). Very clean and comfortable & quiet Only that the stairs were steep! It was on a one way system which made it tricky to navigate at first.
- A (9/5): Had a great stay! - Very clean property with very friendly and helpful staff. The room had everything needed for a short stay and were willing to provide anything else in their capacity. Breakfast was lovely. N/A

- jane (10/5): - The room was lovely and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable, had a great night's sleep. Everything was immaculate. The breakfast was delicious and Tina the host was extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I have no bad comments to make
- Pete (9/5): -
- Catrin (9/5): Very pleasant stay. The room itself was very high quality. The bed was spacious, the facilities and extra’s were second - The attention to detail on everything. Tea and coffee facilities available, small fridge with fresh milk (and also a selection of other milks available - such as oat milk). Cleanliness was second to none as well as the comfort of the rooms. Spacious / comfortable bed, good quality furniture and bathroom was nicely decorated with shampoo / conditioner / body soap available.
- Stevens (10/5): This wasn’t my first visit and it won’t be my last. Fast becoming a favourite! - It’s absolutely stunning - this is a return visit. All the rooms are slightly different and the beds are so so comfortable. They should sell their pillows - they are divine!
- Steve (10/5): Excellent - Clean, tidy, well presented, quality extras and decor. Room 6 was a fantastic room, only disappointed by the late night outside activity. Not complaining as it’s a town centre location. Would stay again, just request a room at the back. Nothing. Loved it.
- Mr & Mrs (9/5): -
- Jill (9/5): -
- Clare (10/5): Very comfortable and really welcoming staff. - Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful
- Gareth (7/5): - Neat room, clean. Nice enough on suite. Process was easy enough to get in. Ventilation, temp- unluckily it just happened to be a really hot day/night. Even with window open ot was uncomfortable. With window open pigeons, seagulls noise, bells made for a poor night's sleep.
- Sam (9/5): -
- Carly (10/5): - Excellent breakfast and customer service The room was warm, and the fridge/fan was loud throughout the night.
- Adams (10/5): - An excellent place to stay with very good food.
- Greg (9/5): The accommodation can’t really be faulted - Really nice apartment in a fantastic location Parking can be slightly tricky if you arrive out of hours.
- Steve (10/5): Lovely clean B&B in the heart of town. - Felt cosy and had great decor. Great breakfast too.
- Gareth (8/5): -
- ROBERT (10/5): Will return if back in Newtown or surrounding area - Room size was larger than expected. Small things like milk in a mini fridge and good choice of teas. Nothing of concern
- Sian (10/5): Beautiful, comfy and inviting - The quality was amazing - Egyptian cotton bed sheets and quality towels. The room itself was very posh with oak furniture. It was spotless, even the paint job on the walls looked fresh. I liked the self serve, we were given codes to access the private parking and entrance. Was so easy. Breakfast was excellent and quality standard. Nothing

- Karen (10/5): - Comfy bed, little treats, facial wipes in bathroom, fresh milk in mini fridge
- fletcher (10/5): The owner and her staff were good fun and very professional. - We had a great breakfast every day of our stay.
- Evans (10/5): -
- Simone (7/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): Overall an amazing stay - Everything was perfect, the cleanliness, the products provided & all top quality Couldn’t stay longer 😫
- Poppy (10/5): -
- Elisabeth (7/5): Was good for our through visit - Clean , comfort, quality furniture and fittings Car park iffy in the dark , bathroom small, dark decor
- Helen (10/5): What a little gem! - The room was lovely, although a touch warm - we changed the duvet to a lighter weight one stored in the wardrobe! All the tiny details were lovely and the breakfast was gorgeous! A bigger fan in the room would have been useful but thats being really picky. We're great tea and coffee drinkers so more ordinary milk would he been useful, but again thats being really picky. It was a lovely place to stay
- Sandra (10/5): Excellent - Breakfast was excellent. Everything was set out lovely, was very impressed, one of the best places we have stayed in. The PARKERS B@ B is in the center of town.
- Biljana (8/5): -
- Janet (7/5): -
- Brian (8/5): We had a Lovely Room, and stay. The interaction with the Staff was nice, friendly, & helpful. - The instructions on gaining entry were clear and concise.
The Room was really clean, and well laid out, apart for the full length mirror (according to my good lady!!) We were initially confused as to where the Bathroom Towels were,
but My Partner found them (under the Sink) before I managed to contact the central number!
Breakfast finished so relatively early on the Sunday (09:30hrs),
We missed it, as thought it was 11:00 🤔
- Annette (10/5): - Friendly, efficient staff. Private secure parking available. Beautiful room - spotless and comfortable. Tea, coffee, water provided and a few little treats too! Great location for our needs. Excellent breakfast included. Thank you to all the team! Highly recommend. Everything was great.
- Beverley (10/5): - The room was beautiful and everything you could need
- Samantha (8/5): -
- John Bshop (9/5): -
- Irene (8/5): - Very steep stairs
- TROY (10/5): Great other than ridiculous food rules - It was extremely clean, well decorated and near everything. Stores, restaurants and shops all just minutes away. My only comment would be that I travel constantly and this is my first experience in my life of having the owner tell you that can’t eat in the room!! I mean come on, take a refundable deposit if it’s that big of a concern. Haven’t even heard of someone doing this since the 50’s when there were the old boarding houses that didn’t allow cooking or women. Sorry but a huge turn off at £165 for a night.
- Ian (10/5): - Everything was just perfect, lovely room, comfy bed, great en-suite, superb breakfast and friendly staff.
- Isabelle (7/5): - Nice bedding. Tasty breakfast Room was really hot and noisy outside. No food allowed to eat in room so I ate in breakfast room which just felt a bit weird and unwelcoming. I left my AirPods, I realised this around 2pm the day I left and was relieved to find out they had them but I did wonder why they hadn’t dropped me a text to let me know they had them given that they aren’t cheap! They agreed to post them if I paid for postage but wouldn’t post until I’d paid. I agreed straight away even though I thought it was a bit tight of them to insist on getting £5 from me first before posting them given I emphasised I was keen them to get them back quickly and I’d already spent £111 to stay there! They ignored my messages when I asked how they would like me to pay for postage. After chasing over a few days, asking when they could post them I gave up and drove to go get them, taking a significant diversion to do so. Got my item back but just didn’t fit with their image of nice personal touch.
- Katie (10/5): A very lovely stay! - The room was lovely and cosy - the bed was very comfortable! I had the best nights sleep in ages and didn’t want to get out of the bed.
Lots of nice little touches, little treats plate on arrival and a wide variety of tea and coffee. A mini fridge for the milk and I have never stayed in a hotel that also supplies different milk alternatives in the room too. Nothing!
- Ellie (9/5): Lovely room with great facilities and great breakfast - The bed was comfy, the room was lovely and the facilities were amazing Nothing
- Susan (10/5): Great stay - Great stay, super host and lovely accommodation. Very nice sleep in a comfy bed, breakfast was fabulous. Would stay again, thanks
- Shan (10/5): A gem of a place conveniently located for exploring the area. - Lovely attention to detail. Staff were very helpful. Lovely breakfasts. Lower tog duvets with option of blankets as it was very warm.
- Timothy (10/5): Exceptional - Attention to detail There was nothing to dislike
- Anna (4/5): Very disappointed would not go again. - Room 8 is not much bigger than a broom cupboard. Nothing like the room in the pictures. Certainly not worth the money.
Only 1 chair and once bags were inside there was no room to walk around the bed very disappointing. Would have gone to a premier inn if we had know as their rooms are twice the size!
Windows in the building opposite were only 3m away. So did not feel very private.
It was clean and the decor was in good condition.
- Mark (8/5): A good choice, but not if stairs are an issue. - The bedroom was clean, thoughtfully equipped, quiet and comfortable - we had a good night's sleep. The off street car park was only a couple of minute's walk from the guest house. Breakfast was excellent. The stairs! The property is finished to a high standard, but access to all rooms is up very steep stairs (rooms 6, 7 & 8 up a second narrow flight). Even the front door is two or three narrow, steep steps up from the street - an alternative, easier street entrance was unavailable during our stay.. Anyone with even modest mobility issues will find carrying suitcases up and down a real struggle, as we and one other couple in their 70s did during our stay. It's a shame, because otherwise Parker's has much to recommend it.
- Biljana (9/5): Superb - Great breakfast and comfortable bed Lot of steps to our room
- Jo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dora (10/5): - We had a lovely stay at this B&B. Thoroughly recommended!
- William (10/5): Lovely stay at Parkers - The room was beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was well equipped and spotless. The breakfast was excellent. The room was very hot but the weather has been very warm. They did give us a mobile air conditioning unit but they are not very efficient and noisy.
- Tzahy (10/5): Nice cosy place - Great breakfast, tasty, nice clean room. Fire doors leading to the room felt awkward, no aircon and was really hot in the room. Was hard to make it dark to sleep after sunshine.
- Richard (10/5): Highly recommend, would definitely stay again - Great location, great facilities and an excellent breakfast
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): Stop over on longer journey - Room was comfortable and well furnished. Breakfast was good. Car parking was free and convenient All good.
- Jackie (9/5): Very comfortable. Lovely place and I think we will stay again. - Central location, easy to find, clear instructions and great communication from host. No issues. Our room was very hot. Room 6. But it was exceptionally hot weather so we kept the fan on all night and did manage to sleep,
- Stewart (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (10/5): - The room and facilities were superb we didnt want for anything. It is beautifully decorated and very clean.
The staff were fabulous and friendly and nothing was too much bother, communication was tops notch. Breakfast was plentiful and cooked perfectly, i would not change anything about this place or its staff, we will return and i cant wait thank you Parkers house for a fabulous stay *****5star*****
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Nicola (10/5): Lovely rooms very clean breakfast was lovely lots of choice - The breakfast was lovely and good location Lovely owner and staff very helpful
- Martin (8/5): Very good - Clean and central Very steep stairs and overheated room which even with a/c was still very warm.
- Sibanda (9/5): Superb -
- Ross (10/5): Excellent stay at Parker’s house. Tina was really helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was lovely and super c - Excellent breakfast and really nice clean rooms
- Betsan (9/5): A lovely, comfortable, quiet B&B with great attention to detail - Clean and comfortable room. A radiator which could be turned up or down which is rare these days. A lovely selection of teas, coffees and snacks including fresh milk in a mini fridge. Little touches which really improved the quality of the stay. N/A
- Darren (8/5): Nice place to stay and comfortable very close to the t center - The room was lovely little extras all over like water little fridge and lots of toiletries
Bed was super comfy and got a very restful sleep The breakfast was ok in my opinion but I’ve had better
- Mike (10/5): Perfect - The room was nice and perfectly clean. The snacks on arrival were appreciated. Breakfast was very good. Also, the instructions sent were thorough and very helpful. Nothing.
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Halle (10/5): Brilliant, would recommend. - Lovely rooms , with lots of little extras provided. Delicious breakfast and friendly staff . Couldn't fault the place.
- Samin (10/5): - Lovely B&B, Tina was super accommodating and all the staff were lovely
- Tim (10/5): Brilliant as always - Location friendly staff excellent rooms
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Accepted our booking at very short notice. Ideal location for the purpose of our visit. Lovely room, very nicely fitted out, excellent shower and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Very nice breakfast. Host was very helpful. Being in the centre of town by a pub, there was noise outside, but that's beyond the owner's control, and they did advise us of the issue and ways to mitigate. How big a deal it is depends on how heavily you sleep. The building itself is very quiet, it was quite a surprise to find so many people down for breakfast as the place had been so quiet.
