• Daniela (10/5): Wunderschöne Unterkunft mit super nettem Besitzer - Super netter Besitzer, hat uns viele Tips für Ausflüge gegeben. Als wir ankamen war das Zimmer etwas kalt, nach unserem Anruf deswegen stand 10 Minuten später ein elektrischer Heizradiator im Zimmer. Wirklich erstklassiger Service. Zimmereinrichtung auch sehr geschmackvoll mit bequemen Bett. Das Frühstück konnte man am Abend vorbestellen, war dann frisch zubereitet und super lecker. Die Lage ist genial, direkt gegenüber der Uferpromenade, Frühstücksraum hatte Meerblick und man war in 10 Minuten zu Fuss im Zentrum von Mumbles. Wenn wir wieder nach Walse kommen unbedingt wieder diese Unterkunft 😁 Liebe Grüsse Daniela und Bettina Nichts
• Peter (3/5): Abysmal, zero facilities. careless owner, garret room to dangerous and not fit for occupancy,breakfast arrangements terr - Absolutely nothing No meet and great - ridiculous breakfast pre order form ( no choice of fruit thimble full of juice 1 piece of toast with 1 tablespoon of butter. Cooked was atrocious 1 small bacon 1 tiny fried egg powdered egg and tasteless scrambled and omelette. 15 mins slots for breakfast very annoying especially as 3 rooms were together and booked all the slots so it was impossible to get in before 9.00 and even then they lingered in the room with the owner fawning over them, awful experience. Room should not have health and safety pass (or has it) 40 per cent or less of floor to ceiling space is lower than 1 metre. I spent hours in hospital checking for skull damage, where was the owner, out all day as usual. Hated every minute of the stay and at £170 night the owner is having a right laugh. This without doubt was the worst place my partner and I have ever stayed ,and the worst service and by far the worst breakfast. Perhaps some good staff in the building would help but I doubt that will happen. I could expand more but it’s just now worth it. Avoid the tides reach.

• lorraine (9/5): Most luxurious - Breakfast was perfect. Lots of choice and a very good staggered timing. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and I can’t imagine anything beating it!! Was like sleeping on a cloud The only small quibble was to have hair conditioner in the bathroom. It had advertised toiletries included and they had shampoo, soap, free shower cap, sewing kit and nail kit!!! But no conditioner. I didn’t realise until it was too late and after a windy coastal walk and a shower and hair wash I ended up with very tangled hair
• Ian (10/5): Brilliant place to stay - What a brilliant place to stay. Room was spotlessly clean and the sea view was a bonus. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked with a good choice of food. Metin was very friendly and welcoming. He looked after us really well. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend the Tides Reach. My wife and I will return again next year.

• graham (9/5): Very nice stay. Would definitely stay there again. - Excellent breakfast, and lovely host. Nicely decorated room. Very convenient spot right on the front. Easy walk along the promenade to some very nice restaurants and shops. Convenient parking at a neighbouring hotel - short walk. The mattress in room 3 was apparently quite new, but had a pronounced slope towards the edges - not 'broken in' yet? My wife was happy, but I felt a bit like I was going to roll out of bed in the night. Fine for us, but be aware stairs are a little shallow if you have mobility issues.

• Ashley (10/5): - Really well kept guesthouse. The property is lovely. The location is great! Metin the host is brilliant! He will help you out with anything. There was a heatwave when we were there and our room was quite hot but Metin provided an aircon machine which he kept topped up with ice cold water. He also provided a cot for our 4 month old baby. And to top it all off the breakfast was delicious!

• Anna (9/5): Lovely 3 days thoroughly enjoyed - Breakfast was excellent, location close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. The host was amazing and could not do enough for you. Also very informative. While we were there it was my birthday and when i came down to breakfast there was a birthday banner set up against the window , plus a birthday card and box of chocs, plus he borrowed his wifes vase of yellow roses for the table. It was a lovely surprise. Unfortunatley it was the mattress and pillows, too soft for me and my husband, but others may find this comfortable, but us older people who have joint pain not so good.

• Brian (10/5): A hidden gem!! Fabulous. - We stayed in room 5 in the attic which had fabulous views across Swansea. The room was very clean a nicely decorated. The location was ideal for a short walk along the promenade to Mumbles centre. It’s a hidden gem and cannot rate the property highly enough. Metin, the charismatic owner, couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was fabulous.

Metin was an excellent host and could not do enough for you. Location was not what I expected, very noisy and busy road outside . Quite a long walk to shops, restaurants etc., not really suitable for over 80s as we were.

It was lovely to meet the other guests staying there in the breakfast room each day to exchange tips on places to visit. The views of the bay were beautiful, and the short walk into the charming town of Mumbles was easy to navigate. We did not have a car and everything was within walking distance. Rooms were well appointed with tea and coffee, and milk was also available. The fridge in the room was convenient for storing snacks. Host Metin was so very helpful and kind. We loved everything.

What makes it so special is the BnB owner Metin is of legendary status and gave us the warmest and most hospitable stays I’ve ever experienced. Such a kind man. The place is situated right on the coast with a beautiful walk along the seafront. Convenient parking which is free around the corner 1 minute walk away. Beautifully clean rooms with a great view. Incredible breakfast which was super value for the price. We had a full English with all the trimmings, fresh juice & coffee every morning. We met other lovely guests and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Absolutely nothing

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning. A peaceful spot with personal touches that really made a difference.
• Lyn (10/5): Great location and relaxing place to stay. - Great location with off road parking. Easy 5-7 min walk into town. Lovely and clean and so many little touches to make it special (chocolate biscuits outside door, fresh milk for rooms etc.)Metin was the perfect host and couldn’t do enough to make our stay a success. A great choice of breakfasts too! For a small town there are lots of really nice restaurants, some with terraces overlooking the sea.
