Robin (10/5): Good stay, not helpful or friendly staff person - Room was very nice and comfortable. There were 2 employees working check in desk. The gentleman was friendly and efficient. The lady wasn’t helpful. She was on phone taking reservations while lobby had 5 parties waiting to check in. Once she called a party to the counter then interrupted helping them to take a reservation by phone instead.

Breakfast was no longer included in the price (that went up) the pool and hot tub was not open and when I told the lady at the desk I didn’t see this on the website she got a little bitchy with me. I was also disappointed with not having a bathtub in my room, the shower pressure was not good. And a horrible smell in the hallway. I might expect this from a $50 or $60 hotel but I absolutely feel like I completely wasted $200.00. I will never stay here again.

Thomas (6/5): Comfortable room but too many shortcomings for a good recommendation - The room was very comfortable There was no hot tea in the lobby when we arrived (even two-star establishments have it); our room phone was defective and the desk clerk couldn't hear us; the light-blocking curtain on our window would not close so the light kept us awake; the air conditioner was very loud, which kept us awake (and we had to turn it off); when our AC was off we could hear the roar of other units; we heard all the footfalls of people above us; and the breakfast wasn't complimentary (in a hotel as expensive as this, the breakfast should have been included in the price). We ate elsewhere. We weren't impressed.

David (10/5): Topeka Stay - No problems with this stay. It was close to good restaurants. If you haven’t been to a Culver’s … go to there. Hot pretzel bites with beer cheese is nice, great burgers, cheese curds also good. I was there to visit people, but this was a nice bit of comfort. Oh! Also head out to the small municipal airport to their morning buffet. That was a good breakfast! Yes, the only photo of the hotel was the cherry blossom mural. The rest were from the muni airport restaurant.

Christina (8/5): - There seemed to be an issue with reservations and rooms reserved were not available. We weren’t the only ones apparently. Ours was a queen room (2 beds needed as there were three of us). Not available when we arrived. Front desk clerk seemed flustered (that’s how we found out there were others). We were upgraded at no charge to a king room but this meant our daughter had no bed. We were told a rollaway would be taken up (if they could find them…what???). We left for a few hours. Reminded the front clerk again when we came back about the rollaway and we were told it would be upstairs (it wasn’t). Waited an hour. Husband went downstairs to ask again (11pm by this time). He ran into a maintenance guy who took care of the bed in about 10 minutes. I know technical issues happen so am not upset. Was just a bit annoyed. Poor clerk was obviously new or overly flustered. Otherwise, bed was comfortable, AC perfect. Shampoo was empty in the shower.

917kamaraw (2/5): We do not recommend this hotel 0/10 - We got a noise complaint for cleaning our room and then they called us and said please quiet down and we did and they came to our door and said they will call the police next time they get another noise complaint so we layed down and then the front desk guy was listening to our conversations through the peep hole. Also earlier I was swimming in their pool when me and my friends eyes started burning. My two friends eyes were fine but my vision started going blurrier and blurrier. We told the front desk guy and he said go tell your mom and we said we have already done that. So he then said well what do u want me to do about it? He was very rude to us. Later on my vision came back to normal. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Scott (4/5): I would never stay here again! - I liked that there was plenty of parking. It was located lots of places to eat which is nice. The lady that checked me in was nice as was the lady at breakfast, but pretty much everyone else was not pleasant or that friendly. The room looked aged with the furniture starting to fall apart. The jacuzzi was not hot only warm. They charge for everything, I felt like I was on an airline. One elevator was out and the hotel was kind of busy making it uncomfortable. We could here the people above us moving around making lots of noise makes me think poor construction thin walls. Some of the staff was not very friendly and for a Hilton that is unacceptable. I will not only never stay in this Hilton again, but I will not spend a night in any other Hilton unless it’s the only option. Also this hotel is way too expensive for you get.

First said our room wasn’t ready then at 4:00 said our room wasn’t available do to a stay over. They did not have another room that was comparable to what we needed. Ended up taking what they had. 942catiem (2/5): Disrespect the handicap you're done to us! - I'm completely disgusted! We were going to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Topeka last night but didn't, we checked out at 1130 pm and left. My husband is an btk amputee he went downstairs (an accessible room wasn't available but it was a special occasion so we figured we would work around it) to go out the back door and smoke a cigarette. Afterwards he used his key card to come back in the light blinked green but the door wouldn't open, he repeated this 3 times. Another guest was having the same issue with that for earlier in the evening too but staff saw that guest and let them in. So when he saw the lady from the front desk that was checking us in her figured he was in luck, wrong! He knocked on the door to get her attention, pointed at the lock showed his key, she looked at him and nothing. He pointed at his leg, the door again, and she shrugged, gave a look of 'sol pal' and walked off. He had to walk around the building to get back in. He came back in and we left. When we turned in our keys one night shift person Josh asked "so it's this really how you treat handicap people?!" The guy said nothing. Josh threw the keys down and walked out. I apologized gave the room number explained what happened and i knew it wasn't their fault but we would be leaving tonight. The second man told me "if he would have called me could have come let him in" it was after 11 we are both working in the morning he didn't take his phone why was this man trying to argue that any of this was ok?! Won't even consider staying in the chain ever again. Disrespect the disabled and you're done in our book! After we got back to the house I found out that he had already explained what happened to BOT in front of and they acted as if they had NO IDEA WHY he was upset! Just because he has a prosthesis does not mean he's not still handicap. What if he got hurt walking around the building? Can we all say LAWSUIT?

After explaining that another hotel down the road took my money for a room and then booked it to someone else because I didn’t “call ahead to confirm I was still coming” Erica took it upon herself to make sure we were taken care of and accommodated. She was amazing!
Sandy (7/5): It worked. - It said breakfast was included but since we booked through booking.com it was not and we didn't know that. That was one reason we booked the Hilton. Could have been cleaner especially bathroom. Breakfast should have been included.

Doris (10/5): Overall, It was a pleasant stay.. Staff was always pleasant and helpful.. - My stay was very pleasant, the accommodations are very nice, anytime I requested something it was provided. The staff are very mindful of our comfort and needs. I think families with children need to be reminded that yelling and screaming and running up and down the halls is not allowed in the hotel.. Some folks are very disrespectful of others and let their children do whatever they want.. It interrupts the peace and comfort of the other guests..... Just an observation.... Some guests, like myself, are working while in our hotel rooms, and it is a huge disruption, thank goodness for noise canceling ear phones..
Joanne (5/5): - A family arrived late in the room above and were extremely noisy until after 1 am and kept me awake. The pillows were extremely hard and uncomfortable.

David (6/5): New facility but missing basic expectations - Frequently, could not get help from the front desk--no one around and no way to contact anyone. Disliked that there were no suites--they don't have any. Unable to get any luggage racks. Another chair in the room would have been nice.
