Guest Reviews
- Ellenmail (10/5): Blueberry Casserole - So happy I found this wonderful inn while traveling north on 81. Kelly worked hard to give me the perfect room and she nailed it.
A beautiful tub with epsom salts and essential oils was just the ticket after nine hours on the road.
The bed was beyond inviting and extremely comfortable. I fell asleep soon after arrival.
Kelly brought a tremendous breakfast at the agreed upon time. Let me just say, it was Five Star. A wonderful tomato and spinach soufflé. A blueberry croissant (?)casserole which was to die for. A bowl of the best Greek yogurt and strawberries. There was orange juice, s&p, and a darling vase with wildflowers.
Incidentally, there is a Keurig with many coffee options, chilled water carafes and half and half in the fridge.
It was the ideal respite for a weary traveler. I’ll plan my next trip around Beaver Creek Inn and Spa!
- E9623OAbillyd (10/5): Quiet Anniversary - The experience was exceptional from the first phone call when I spoke with the owner. Friendly staff, beautiful old rooms, great food, and a very quiet location with a wrap-around porch and view. My wife and I were looking for an unwind/de-stress anniversary and this place was up to the task. Not only was lining up the trip easy, they also setup a firepit for us with a smores kit so we could sit by the fire for 3 hours. Food is amazing, and the staff is wonderful. First B&B experience and we will be back! Thank you to the staff at Beaver Creek for a great experience.

- valeriepK7607SZ (10/5): Exceptional Girls Weekend - I was looking for a conveniently located spa for a girls weekend with my daughters and daughter-in-law. They easily traveled from Philadelphia and VA. From the time we arrived on a Saturday afternoon until we left on Sunday, our experience was exceptional. We each had either a massage or a facial and while we were waiting for our appointments, we enjoyed wine and a charcuterie that was provided. We were made to feel very welcome from start to finish and we look forward to returning. Highlights: the spa, our rooms, Sunday morning breakfast, and overall hospitality!
- Go597792 (10/5): Classy, elegant bed and breakfast - We loved Beaver Creek Inn! We were traveling to SC for our son’s graduation and this was our halfway point. We are so glad we found it!
We had the Northwoods suite and it was beautiful! The bedroom was huge with a lovely seating area, a stocked fridge, wine & a charcuterie board awaiting our arrival. Such a lovely thing to have after a long day of driving! We solar had a separate porch area with comfy seating for reading or napping. The grounds were beautiful & we enjoyed having our delicious, homemade breakfast downstairs on the porch listening to the many birds fluttering about.
Definitely a place you want to try!!
- heidirothaguinis (10/5): Hidden gem get away - Wow! What a hidden gem! My husband & I decided to do a 2 night get away from DC in the middle of the week. While Hagerstown is only an hour from our home, we felt swept away! The inn is adorable! Every space is inviting. We stayed in a suite that had an attached sunroom where we had breakfast! And man, what a breakfast!! Soufflés! Homemade yogurt! Amazing!!
When we arrived there was a fruit & cheese plate waiting for us in the mini frig along with a bottle of wine, homemade iced tea, soda, & carafes of cold water.
The bed was so comfortable!! Lovely bathroom. I have absolutely no complains.
I arranged a massage for the following day, which was so enjoyable especially after hiking the Appalachian trail for 2 hours.
The outdoor spaces are so inviting from where we watched the sunset both nights with blankets available & kitties to snuggle.
We look forward to going back!!
- Sandra (6/5): - There was no one to greet me, tell me where to park, or which entrance to use. There was literally no one in the building. I did receive a text giving me door codes and which room I was assigned to.
- Steve (10/5): - Convenient and unique.
- MrsPsPicks (10/5): Plan your getaway here now! - My sister and I met here for a lovely weekend to relax and enjoy each other's company. Kelly, the owner, is attentive to detail and eager to make everyone feel at home. We stayed in the Northwoods room, and found it perfect for the two of us. Our favorite part of the room was the upstairs porch where we sat to eat our breakfast while looking out over the gorgeous farmland and mountains. Breakfast both days was truly marvelous. We especially loved the yogurt and the French toast. Both were the best I've ever had. The room has everything you could think of to make it a comfortable stay: a bed that we just melted into for a solid night's sleep, fans and heaters to adjust the temperature according to the weather, blankets for curling up while reading on the chaise-lounge, cozy spa robes, convenient device chargers, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom, and plentiful towels. We enjoyed the other spaces in the inn, too: the wraparound outside porch with tables and rockers where we sat to eat our lunch, had an afternoon coffee, and ate our takeout dinner; the lawn, where we sat in comfy gravity chairs to enjoy the mountain view and relaxed in a hammock while watching the sunset; the sitting room, where we enjoyed doing an art project and played one of the many games on the shelf there; and the spa! We had a fabulous couples massage, and highly recommend adding on the body polish. Next time you're looking for a weekend getaway with family or friends, this is the place to go!
- Elizabeth (10/5): A truly outstanding Bed and Breakfast experience - The hospitality of this charming bed and breakfast is outstanding. The rural setting in the rolling hills outside of Hagerstown is lovely and relaxing. The breakfast with homemade yoghurt, fresh fruit and eggs from the chickens was delicious it served to our room giving us the opportunity for dining in private or if we wished having it in several main floor dining options or even on the outside porch. We highly recommend it.
- jimwcpa819 (10/5): A great find in Hagerstown - We had an excellent stay as part of Birthday Weekend for my wife. The Northwoods room is large and d comfortable with an awesome bathroom. The staff are outstanding as was our highly recommended couples massage. We were in the area to do some hiking and wanted a unique spot to stay and relax as we head deeper into tax season.
- Robert (10/5): - My friend and I just competed a three-night stay at Beaver Creek Inn and Spa. The Inn was fantastic. The owner, Kelly, is the nicest person you'll ever meet. The room was wonderful. The public spaces are gracious and comfortable. The home-made breakfasts, served in the room, were huge and extraordinary. And my friend, who had both a massage and a reflexology session, said both were incredible. We will be back. Recommended without reservation.
- Timothy (6/5): Birthday getaway - The property was exquisite —was disappointed with a porch extension that was filled with bees and we were not notified not to use porch and my husband got stung —other then that would highly recommend staying there
- Rick (10/5): - Beautiful country getaway with gourmet breakfast each morning served in your room.
- Thomas (6/5): - No shower in a room was unacceptable; need to be more clear about that on your web site: would have never stayed here if this was made clear.
- Ernest (10/5): - It was a fantastic stay. The place is beautiful, picture book perfect. It was a magical stay.
- lonp580 (10/5): Getaway Weekend - Beaver Creek Inn & Spa was a wonderful getaway for us! The room was spacious and combined modern amenities with an early 20th century charm! Constructed in 1901, the house has wonderful views, an outdoor firepit, a large sitting room with a fireplace, a coffee/tea bar, and is well kept without being opulent. The attention to detail was outstanding! The breakfast, delivered to our room, was truly one of the best we've ever had! Kelly and her entire staff were fantastic! It was a truly fantastic stay and we will most certainly go back!
- Diva4Real423 (10/5): Rest, Respite, Relaxation, and Reset - Decided to take a quick getaway this weekend Saturday to Sunday and it was everything I needed and so much more at The Beaver Creek Inn and Spa. I got a personal call Friday evening asking about my stay, any allergies for breakfast, if we liked wine…. So extremely engaging and friendly from the start. I called the next day to request a spa service and they were able to immediately accommodate me.
Upon arrival the warmth of this place engulfs you. Careful details have gone into every aspect of your experience in this space and it is deeply appreciated. From the decorative touches in sitting room and fireside lounge, dining room, inviting soft seating outside and dining space on beautiful wrap around porch, to additional seating on the large patio with a fire pit.
The view of the mountains from the porch on a Sunday Summer morning was absolutely breathtaking.
The room was farmhouse glam, maybe they have created a new decor style. Beautiful bed, and sitting area. Felt the warmth and comfort of home with a glamorous touch. The amenities were just perfect with a refrigerator, microwave and Keurig in a nook. The refrigerator was filled with refreshing water, a welcome charcuterie tray with fruit, cheese, meats, and nuts. We also had a complementary bottle of wine.
Once we settled in we were in for the night. The next morning our massage therapist met us to take us for a couples reflexology massage that was a perfect start to our day.
We returned to a breakfast fit for royalty, a vegetarian egg soufflé with spinach, tomatoes and a white cheddar cheese, blueberry French toast, yogurt with strawberries, and orange juice.
I left relaxed and rejuvenated. I really look forward to the opportunity to return and so happy to have discovered this amazing gem of a place so close by. I will highly recommend to family and friends.
- palm4667 (10/5): Mountain getaway just off the highway - Stopped here on our way from NY to NC. So much better than a hotel! Just a few miles off the highway felt like a peaceful mountain getaway! Breakfast was amazing and delivered to our room. And all the little extras in our room made us feel so welcome! Thank you!!
- hturneym (10/5): A Hidden Gem - The building itself may be somewhat unprepossessing, but the staff, the food, the views, the luxurious rooms, the attention to detail are absolutely 5 star! I would recommend without reservation to any traveler that needs to overnight in this area.
- 28fionas (10/5): A wonderful, magic Inn - We love our stay. The accommodation is beauty. Kelly and her staff are lovely. We stayed in the Northwoods-Suite with a delightful sun porch overlooking sun and moon rise.
Breakfast is delicious and plentiful and the Charcuterrie trays in the afternoon are generous.
Nearby Hiking @ Annapolis & Black Rock, Sugarloaf Mtn; Greenbrier, Cunningham Falls, Washington Monument State Parks
Mineral bath soaking baths at Berkeley Springs, WV where George Washington soaked as well.
- Stephanie (10/5): - WOW! The attention to detail and care to service was second to none. We enjoyed this peaceful oasis out of the city and Kelly and Ashley made us feel right as home. Our spa services were relaxing and the three course breakfast that was delivered to our room exceeded our expectations. We hope to go back soon!
*The quality of the bed and linens were excellent as well!
- Richard (10/5): - My wife and I hadn't had a night away from the kids since our daughter was born, almost three years ago. My wife's birthday present was that on some weekend my in-laws would stay with our kids and we would get away. I chose Beaver Creek Inn & Spa because it was only about an hour away and the reviews were glowing.
It's a large old house on a quiet road. Our room was beautiful. Of course, it's an old house, so you shouldn't expect everything to look new. But the decor was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable, and our room had a big soaking tub (though no shower).
But Beaver Creek's biggest asset is Kelly herself. Before we arrived, she made sure we had wines we liked in our room, as well as sparkling waters and other soft drinks. Both days, we received a large and varied fruit plate, with cheese and cured meats. The breakfasts were extraordinary, with truly delicious (and huge) egg soufflés made with eggs from Kelly's own chickens, a home-made blueberry pastry something like a crispy croissant, and delicious home-made yogurt. She treats you like the family you wish you had.
We also scheduled a couple's massage for one afternoon, and it was suitably indulgent.
If you're looking for a peaceful weekend away, especially for a couple, Beaver Creek Inn & Spa is perfect. As for the area, Hagerstown is limited (though Bistro 11 is a very good restaurant), but you're close to the Appalachian Trail & Frederic, which is a great place to eat or shop. Harper's Ferry also isn't far.
- Tom R. (10/5): Amazing stay! - First, Communication was simply amazing, from the informative phone call to the text with great local restaurants and checkin info. It made us feel so comfortable.
Upon arriving at the Inn & Spa we entered to the most relaxing music and scents. The staff was super attentive and very accommodating. The room (Northwoods Suite) was better then we could have ever imagined, very well laid out and very well decorated. They even had a bottle of wine and charcuterie tray waiting for us! ❤️
The next morning we were greeted by a room service breakfast that was so very fresh and delicious. Wow.
Sadly, we only spent a day and time did not allow for a couples massage, but I can promise you we will certainly return for several days and enjoy a massage in the near future.
I would most certainly will recommend Beaver Creek to anyone who wants to get away and relax from the stressors of life. This place will certainly do it!
- Kristy (10/5): Exceptional B&B, perfect respite! - Our stay was amazing! Kelly, the owner was exceptional! She was the best hostess, paying special attention to detail concerning our requests and purpose for our stay. Breakfast served in our gorgeous room was delicious and I couldn’t wait for our next meal! The inn itself was clean and beautiful! Our room was clean and comfortable, outfitted with special amenities provided by Kelly. I can’t wait for my next visit!
- karawil231 (10/5): Exceeds Expectation - Beaver Creek exceeded all expectations.
The attention to detail, the cuisine, and the costumer service was top notch and first class. I went for a girls’ weekend and enjoyed being pampered. Every detail was well thought out and carefully planned with love and intention. The decor and feeling of every space we entered was refreshing and calming. The dinner we had, and two breakfasts, were out of this world delicious! Little details, like fresh cut flowers and cute trays, made a perfect meal even better. You could taste and feel the love the entire time. We enjoyed three spa services in the tranquil spa room which is perfect for individual or couples/paired services. If you want a relaxing weekend with the girls, or a special someone, this place is for you. Kelly and her staff are remarkable and made this weekend unforgettable. I can’t wait to bring my husband!
- Timothy (10/5): - Outstanding hospitality and beautiful house, very well appointed and full of character. Truly delicious home made breakfast. One of the best of hundreds of B&Bs we’ve visited.
- 72savannai (10/5): Hidden Gem!!! - My husband and I stayed here for our wedding night as a gift from my maid of honor and it was AMAZING!! The owner and staff could not have been nicer and the place was clean, quaint, and beautiful. We were greeted with wine, a charcuterie board, and chocolate covered strawberries, as well as special decorations for our wedding and relaxing music playing in our room when we entered. We loved the bath tub with with salts provided. However I'd say my favorite part was hands down the most luxurious bed I've ever slept in! The fresh made breakfast was delicious, as well, with wonderful mimosas. This is such a special place to spend the night for a special occasion or just to treat yourself and get away. I did not want to leave!
- J6324AYdeborahm (10/5): Spa services - Kelly is the best of the best!! Had a really bad lash extentions application from somewhere else. Kelly graciously got me in right away and fixed everything. She is amazing, knowledgeable, extremely gentle and professional. The atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. Can't wait to try out the other spa services offered. Highly recommend I will definitely be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful, charming, peaceful...the words that best describe the Inn. Restorative, excellent, restful, healing...the words that come to mind when reflecting on the Spa experience here. Breakfast is homemade (eggs from the property) and delicious & can be easily adjusted for food allergies. If you need a quiet, relaxing atmosphere to breathe, this is the place! The wrap around porch with mountain views was serene, and there's ample area to dine outside for every meal. Absolutely will be back.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Wonderful! One of the best B&B’s!
- BizTraveler1999 (10/5): We loved this place! - We stayed at this BnB and loved it. The home is gorgeous and decorated impeccably. The food is fantastic (you even receive a personal charcuterie and bottle of wine at check in) & the host warm professional and welcoming. Had a massage which was lovely in a beautiful historic room. We hope to return one day.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Kelly, our host, is amazing. Her loving spirit and attention to detail make Beaver Creek a WONDERFUL get away. Even my Husband enjoyed the spa atmosphere. The reflexology treatment left my body and mind feeling great for several days. The breakfast was super delicious. Need a getaway? This is highly double highly recommended.
- SUSAN S (10/5): A little slice of heaven - Excellent does not even describe it. Exceptional is more like it. This was a mother-daughter get away and this place and the service far exceeded our expectations. Kelly & Ashley are wonderful hostesses and attend to every little detail. Breakfasts were huge and delicioys. You will not be disappointed and will go back again & again. It will become your favorite getaway.
- morton (10/5): - exceptional!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Old farmhouse in beautiful setting. Convenient location. Outstanding host. Incredible breakfast and overall hospitality. Highly recommend!
- Aneka (10/5): Best place for miles! - Worth every dollar! Beautiful atmosphere, relaxing, clean, smells divine, farm fresh cooked breakfast in the morning. Great communication from staff. I will be visiting again!!
- 681kateg (10/5): A Perfect Relaxing, Romantic Weekend - My husband and I got a couples retreat package for Valentine's Day, and it was absolutely perfect. The Inn is so sweet and comfortable, and it is so clear how much care Kelly puts into everything detail. She is a lovely hostess, and even upgraded our massages at no additional cost. We enjoyed every part of our stay, but the homemade breakfast may have been the absolute best part. I can't wait until she releases a cookbook with those recipes!
- tracyhenryc (10/5): Such a calm and relaxing B and B - Kelly the inn keeper was so warm and welcoming and the decor was top notch. This will be our go to place when in the area. We received a upgrade with our favorite wine and soft drinks, fresh fruit and more! All in our suite waiting for us to arrive
- ElisaF217 (10/5): Felt like home but better! - Little did I know how much I needed this beautiful B&B during my trip. I feel like I was meant to be here! The beds are luxurious and the breakfast is gourmet, served to your room and to die for! Most importantly there was an intangible comfort from the time you enter this stately but welcoming old home. Kelly (the owner) has mastered the art of making you feel at home and pampered all at once. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation for a suite and a spa treatment now! Must love adorable cats!
- ElizabethD546 (10/5): Beautiful Peaceful and Soothing to the Soul - This is a fantastic haven of peace, comfort and the softest most relaxing sleep ever. You will love this experience, the charm and karma of goodness, the loving peace and the total comfort topped off with a manificeint 5 starr breakfast of French flaked Blueberry pastry with a golden egg and spinich flaked quiche. Each breakfast is served in room to your details (vegan, gluten free etc) and the Hostess is a professional retired manager of deluxe commercial properties. Every detail is there from free healthy snacks, to a private sun porch to the lavious rainforest shower head cascade of soft rain before a giant king poster pillow bed. Healthy and invigorating! Sensual and delightful! I have traveled to castles and suites abroad and this beats the luxury of the 5 stars. Enjoy yourself or treat a friend. And stay for a beautiful spa too! Well worth the extra money over the sterile
hard hotel room.Elizabeth
