Your belongings are not safe even inside the room. Terribly unresponsive and rude. I have been staying here for 10 days. I found their service terribly bad. Worst ever. Starting from the Restaurant. They take 45 minutes to 1 hour to serve some basic dish like spaghetti or egg omelet. The meat they served in Indian dish was not fresh at all. these incident keep happening repetitively. Second thing is the worst internet connections. It's very inconsistent. Most of the time there was no internet. My some belongings went missing from the room 307 and 207. But the most pathetic part was all the staffs from hotel reception to restaurant and the manager he himself didn't respond and took any measure to troubleshoot any problem. Not a value for money. Your belongings are not even safe inside the room. Be careful.

- mhammadg2023 (2/5): I do not recommend this hotel at all. - I do not recommend this hotel at all. While I was sleeping in Room 408, I was shocked to find a rat in the ceiling. I immediately contacted the manager, who said it was the first time something like this had happened. He also mentioned that Room 408 is close to the kitchen, which might explain how the rat got in — implying the kitchen could be infested as well. This is completely unacceptable. It’s a major health and safety concern, and no guest should have to deal with such a situation. Hygiene standards in this hotel are clearly questionable. Avoid if you value cleanliness and basic comfort.
- BP (4/5): Noisy - This hotel's location is good, as it is on the main toad, so access to transport is easy accesible. However the breakfast spread is terrible. There is limited fresh things, and the bit of fruit that is cut up, the 2 times Iwanted to take, flies was sitting all over it. Telling staff about it, they just ignore you. Bread is stale and this spread consists of curries and rice. It was raining throughout our stay and water is pouring in at the reception and rooftop dining area, so staff was putting buckets all over to catch water. The structure definitely needs work. The room I stayed in, had seaview and you could open the sliding door for fresh air, however the restaurants across the road would have music blasting the whole sunday into the early hours of monday morning, so door had to stay close. This hotel also hosted a "brunch show", the Saturday evening and there was hundreds of people. Music was deafening that you could not sleep or even hear your tv. This also lasted until early hours of Sunday morning. Don't hosts massive parties like that, and try and run a hotel, where guests needs to sleep, whilst rooms are not soundproof at all. Would definitely not recommend this hotel
- 322mariamac (8/5): Great View - My first time staying at a hotel in Freetown. This hotel needs little updating buy my stay was comfortable.. It had all the basic necessities, shower, hot water, A/C and a clean room. The staff was very friendly, and the hotel has amazing view of the beach and ocean. Thank you to Haja and the lovely ladies in the restaurant for making my stay memorable one.. Definitely will recommend this place if u are looking for a great location, affordability, comfort and a beautiful view of the beach and ocean..

My son and his wife had to be moved twice because their rooms were not clean. The breakfast buffet did not have good choices.

- Kisha (6/5): - The best part of my stay was the view of the ocean from my terrace and my wonderful housekeeper Adamma. She made sure I was very well taken care of and came to clean every day. The down side of our stay were the little roaches that seemed to come out as soon as the sun went down every night, at least in the room where we stayed. This was our second room because we requested to have an ocean view. Our first room had a pool view which was fine, no issues but we preferred the ocean so we switched. With some fumigation and cosmetic repairs they’ll be good to go.

- Kwane (2/5): Don't Stay At The Sierra Palms "Resort''!!!! - This place is a candidate for Gordon Ramsey's hotel nightmares. The have holes in the walls. They have holes in the ceilings. There is water damage all throughout the hotel. There are roaches the size of beetles. The staff never smiles or gets you. They may even ask for favors like please buy me a pair of shoes, help pay for cars etc. I felt like a target for money the moment we entered the building.

- fodays280 (10/5): Stay at sierra palms room 405 - It's my first time to stay hotel in freetown , on the main road and easy to access everywhere , Food at Rooftop Restaurant was nice , Staff was friendly and caring. Room was clean 🛌bed was comfortable. My friend liked the swimming pool and was accessable in night also.
- Prince (4/5): - The building needs renovation.. All the doors are literally old, and the doors couldn’t lock with the smart keys. There were mold in the room and the room smelled awful. Great location but old building that needs refurbishing!!!
- Olugbemiga (2/5): Bad Service, Dirty, Smelly and Major Reno needed - The property suffers from being too close to the beach. The beach is dirty, filthy, smelly and and full of waste. The stench can be smelled in the rooms. The second issue with this hotel is that it-s in desperate need of a renovation. doors not working, woodworks frames are chipped and look like about to fall of, floors looks tired, paintings looks ordinary and sorry. The 3rd issue is staff moral, apart from one or two staffs that were helpful, the rest especially during morning breakfast in the restaurants looks completely uninterested in their job or customers, they just ignore you and play on their phone while you have to approach and ask them for the basics. Housekeeping knocks on your room door at 8am while you're fast asleep and keep knocking until you wakeup and tell them to come back later. basic "Do Not Disburb" notice cards is not available in the room to allow you put on the external of the door to prevent this from happening. If you order room service from the room, the restaurant downstairs will respond but their menu is rubbish. To have food from the top (5th) floor restaurant, you have to go upstairs, make the order physically then return to your room. when they bring it to your room it's the food tray will travel on someone's shoulder "openned" all the way. No matter how much I complain that it's not hygienic the bring food to my food without any protective covering on the tray, the staff just look at me as if I'm talking gibberish, walk away. A nightmare

I sustained an injury cuz of their bed. - The room had a order smell first I was charger for double bed which I did pay later at night while trying to get some rest the bed feet broke mind u it was only me on the bed I sustained injuries on my belly cuz I fell off. After talking to the receptionist to change the bed or change my room later she put us in a room with single bed so and I ask her but we pay for double bed and now you are giving us single bed. Manage to sleep later I meet with the day receptionist her name was Zainab she’s nice she apologized for what happened. But at the end of the day I had to check out and move to different hotel because the elevator doesn’t always work, there is always a party or a wedding at the pool you don’t sleep cuz they are playing loud much there. Their service is terrible if I wasn’t on work I would have sue them but this is the worst hotel.
- Colonel1957 (10/5): A wonderful Experience @ The Sierra Palms - Serra Palms Hotel, was our home away from home for 3months. From the GM Nitin Ghugo, who facilitated our stay, nothing was to much effort from Nitin. House Keeping ensured our rooms where well stocked with water tea & coffee, and they ensured our laundry was taken care of and returned the same day, and the rooms were spotless. The Restaurant staff, were tentative and ensured we were well looked after. Only complaint, was the menu got very tired after the first month. Sunil the Restaurant Manager, each day would ask us what we wanted for dinner and cook meals for us, which was a huge bonus, when he realised the menu was becoming boring. The Admin staff at the Reception to Finance, catered for our requests with no hesitation. The Pool staff were excellent a great team who put our needs first To the Hotels GM Mr Nitin, thank you too your staff and yourself for a wonderful experience, your hotel has earned our returned business, as we now will be in residence for the rest of the year using his hotel.

Though i wanted to try their chapman and compare it to Nigerian Chapman but it was not available. The top floor restaurant is good for photo shooting. Their Menu is accessible via barcode scanning. The view from the Atlantic Ocean at night is beautiful.

Unfortunately, when I spoke with the manager he said because I booked with Expedia it won’t be possible. I told him that I am only requesting for a sea view and if it needs any additional payment as upgrade then I can pay. He walked away without responding which I think was rude. As manager I was expecting much from him in terms of customer service.

Stayed at this property for 9 days and half of those days, elevator was not working. I was on the 4th floor with bad knees so you can imagine. The shower and sink water was dirty (red coloration and taste like acid). Bathroom and room smells terribly. Staffs at the front desk and restaurant were very nice and accommodating but the facility service and cleanliness is poor.

The kitchen guys were so friendly and i live the cheese pizza. The cleaners were polite and trustworthy. This is one of the best receptions I have ever hard in Sierra Leone. We stayed in freetown for 15 days but we only spend two night and it was great , best hot water In the room , toilet amenities are international standard . Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms with seaview are best but the street is busy for hole night .

- john32322 (10/5): Wonderful - Sierra Palms Resort, just remember this name for the best hotel in Sierraleone Freetown. I have stay for a few days at this hotel. Stepping through the lobby, i was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly reception area. Light, airy and very spacious...very welcoming atmosphere. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The breakfasts were amazing. I had great experience at swimming pool restaurant food was amazing staff we’re great. The location of the hotel is great. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Sierraleone Freetown . Will be back to this place soon..!!!

Receptionists were extremely rude and housekeeping often forgot towels in the room, which would take 7 or 8 trips and multiple hours to the receptionist to get. Breakfast is poor quality; some of the worst coffee I’ve ever had and pastries were often stale. Rooms are poor quality, stained towels and sheets, I had a broken shower that it took two days to fix, again because of an unresponsive reception. For the amount they charge, it’s extremely poor value. Stay somewhere else.

We had about 65 guest that came from the U.S. and stayed at this hotel for our wedding and the staff went above and beyond to make us and our guest feel welcome and comfortable. Rooms were clean, Food was great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right on the beach and there are a ton of shops and places to eat all on the strip and all within walking distance! The views are great wether you have an ocean view or a Mountain View. Ethan, the hotel manager, was easy to reach and communicate with. - Verified traveler (6/5): - I came to this hotel hoping to get a view of the beach, upon arrival, I was told that the room that I booked was not a sea view room. I will be getting a view of the pool. I asked if I can change that, I was told the hotel was booked to capacity. The room was not ready when I arrived, I had to wait 40 mins in the lobby before they could give me a room that I reserved. I was not impressed by the look of the room, it looks old inside and the bathroom was dull, more bright lights would be better. For the amount of money that I payed, I expected more. To make matters worst, the WiFi is horrible. My data was faster than their WiFi. When I called to complain, I was told they are working on it and the problem would be resolved soon. The next morning, still the same issue.

This is my go-to hotel in Lumely Beach area. This was my third stay at Sierra Palms and each time I am pleased with the experience. Great service also.

- Alfred (2/5): Very disappointing and over priced - Not a resort hotel. This is a one star hotel. Very run down in the back end but put up a flashy facade up front. Bed is unstable and breaks down frequently. Asked to change room and same happens. The bathrooms are gross and dilapidated Just a flimsy shower curtain with soap scum and no tub. Stand only. The bathroom door very squeaky and noisy will wake partner up at night. Asked for maintenance to apply grease but fell n deaf ears. It’s a glorified bed and breakfast and very overpriced. Have stayed in 3 other hotels in Freetown and this is the worst. Lest I forget very substandard tv and internet and of course no alcohol served in this hotel.
- Sahr (10/5): Sierra Palms 2019 - Shareif is by far the best manager in Freetown. The location of the hotel is definitely for tourists as it is close to majority of the things we would like to see. The night life around the hotel is awesome and it is very calm during the day as well. The A/C is very nice. The employees are extremely friendly with great attitude. As an American, this hotel lived up to my expectations and then some. I love it
- Sahr (10/5): Sierra Palms 2019 - This is by far the best hotel to stay at in Freetown because the location is outstanding and the customer services are out of this world. The hotel is close to everything a tourist is interested in seeing. I showed up early due to an error on my part and the manager upgraded my room and made sure I didn’t suffer because of the error. The employees are extremely friendly and have great attitude. I will definitely be staying at Sierra Palms again.

- Eivind (10/5): Lovely owners - Very helpful management, my luggage was delayed and the manager gave me one of his own shirts so I could go to my meeting. Unfortunately the swimming pool and beach bar was not quite ready during my stay but it looks like it will be great when finished.
- Rougiyatou (2/5): STAY AWAY!! - This was the worst experience ever.. The staff were professional but the premises was run down. Their toilet seats were broken and the view was unpleasant as it faced a construction site with horrible red sands
- Radoslav (8/5): One of the best hotel in Freetown - It's about African standard but I want to say to owner: I fully understand it's very hard to operate / provide hotel services in Africa but please continue as well as work on further improvements. Hope to visit you soon
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable room with great balcony and views. Good buffet breakfast and efficient room service. If you have any problems they will make sure you are looked after.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I did not like the menu selection. Did not like when owners would open the door between the restaurant and patio and leave the open. I don't like eating with an abundance of flies. I did not like the food that was in warming trays doing breakfast was not warm.

- May (8/5): - Beautiful views of the sea. Simply breathtaking. Let down was the breakfast. I would choose again based on the room and views. Great location. Staff in restaurant need more training in hospitality. One was very unwelcoming, a turn off.
