- Linda (10/5): All I can say is I am glad I found this place and will be using again. - Breakfast was just what I asked for. Location was just what I needed. Host was very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. I had all the space I needed to complete a project I brought with me. Very peaceful place. There was nothing I did not like at all. In fact I have booked again for later in the year, knowing I will not have any concerns about staying there.
- James (10/5): Brilliant, will definitely come again if I need to do anything in Nottingham or in the area. - Every morning, Peter would ask us what we would like for the next day, and would get anything we wanted. On both mornings we had his cooked breakfast which was absolutely brilliant both days. We also had our own breakfast room outside our suite(we were in the garden suite) separate from our suite. Peter was a really nice guy, always willing to have a chat, ask you how your room is and answer any questions we had. He also gives you a discount at the local pub, which was very nice as well.
- Declan (10/5): - The Garden Suite was excellent with a spacious lounge and bathroom. The garden was nicely lit at night time. Very friendly host.
- Sarah (10/5): Car was safe, we were safe and this is exactly what we needed. - Peter asked us what we'd like for breakfast and he gave us exactly what we asked for which was just perfect.

- Victor (10/5): - Peter was an extraordinary host for the most wonderfully peacefully, convenient and spacious of accommodations. Truly made our stay one of the most memorable in our travel history.
- Lorna (10/5): A truly luxurious B&B experience - Peter provides a bespoke service. The rooms in the suite were lovely, so original and very clean. Very comfy bed and such a beautiful private space. This is something you would never find in a hotel. The breakfasts were amazing and you just pick exactly what you want for breakfast. Such a nice touch that Peter just insisted we had a complimentary glass of wine when we arrived- really lovely touch after a long, tiring journey. Also complimentary tea, coffee, chilled water and sherry in the room with fresh milk provided as and when you need it. Beds were super comfy and bathroom was spotlessly clean. There was nothing we didn't like.
- Mick (10/5): A jewel in the crown - From the moment we arrived. Peter made us feel very welcome. The accommodation was luxurious and cosy. A great find.
- Rick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Wonderful and relaxing. We didn’t want to leave! - The lodge was beautifully furnished, clean and warm. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
Peter was a fabulous host and really helpful. There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but I do feel it is better for quiet guests. We weren’t noisy but we’re conscious of any noise travelling with another family staying downstairs. It would not put me off but would not suit anyone wanting to party there.
- Sophie (10/5): Cosy and relaxed environment, lovely and welcoming host and clean, spacious rooms. Perfect. - Peter was an amazing host, very welcoming. Room was clean, cosy and we absolutely loved the interior design. The garden was lovely too. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep. Would highly recommend to anyone. We will definitely book again. Nothing to fault here - everything exceeded our expectations. Perfect if going to the airport as it only 10-15 min drive away. Loved everything.
- Claire (10/5): Heaven - Peter is an amazing host superb hospitality in the most beautiful accommodation you would ever find. We had candles at breakfast with great food just like a five star restaurant. The rooms are great also a bedroom and a lounge and we were greeted with a glass of wine. Fantastic for a special occasion. Nothing The place is perfect.
- Helen (10/5): Lovely friendly host, very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend - Beautifully decorated, clean and cosy. Attention to detail was exceptional from our host. Great breakfast
- Will (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jonny (10/5): You have to experience it to believe the highest standards and level of personal regard - Peter is an exceptional host and second to none. When he states bespoke, the Lodge exceeds any expectations and I am hard to please. This is by far the best experience of a b+b I have ever had. Personally I cannot class the Lodge as a b+b but an experience. Please see above. Peter has made the lodge an ultimate stay.
- Joanna (10/5): - What a find! Super host and lovely accommodation - a little piece of ‘Bali’ nestled in Ruddington (😀)
- Matthew (10/5): Wonderful place - Wonderful place and superb service. Peter was a fantastic host. Thank you
- White (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic stay - Great host, lovely quaint place.
- Jonathan (9/5): Met our needs perfectly. - Lovely breakfast - very comfortable stay. Also good local eating recommendations (and discount!).
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - The lodge owner gave us a fabulous staying experience. The room is terrific with nice design and ambience. He made us a terrific breakfast that left us a perfect memory in Ruddington
- Bunce (8/5): Very good - Everything gorgeous Only one thing. One bedroom occupier had to walk thru others room to get to bathroom which disturbed sleep other than that perfect x
- Stephanie (10/5): Delightful - We could not have asked for a more relaxing and wonderful stay. From the welcome drink, the delicious breakfast, the soothing suite with all the amenities one could want and more, the entire experience was fantastic. We felt welcomed and pampered the entire stay. We would absolutely stay again.
- Emma (9/5): A perfect stay - Peter was the perfect host and the facilities were perfect. The upgrade was a lovely touch, thank you. Nothing
- Kieran (8/5): Very good -
- Kinder (10/5): Different and better. - I do tend to write reviews, both good and bad. Check out my other reviews. I try hard to be fair. I rarely use superlatives because superlatives are rarely deserved. Not in this case. This place is superb. We booked into the Garden Suite which itself was exceptional for the price. However, unexpectedly, the larger suite was available and Peter the perfect host suggested we have a look. Wow! A little more expensive than the Garden Suite but frankly Peter could have charged twice that differential and I would still have taken the larger suite. Over two floors. Ground floor has a dinning table exclusive to the suite and where breakfast is served. There was also a baby Grand Piano to add to the palatial feel. Upstairs is huge. Very tastefully decorated in an Asian style with tasteful and interesting fixtures and fittings. It really 'worked'. There was a large and comfortable lounge area, a very comfortable and large double bed with tiger tripe bed set that managed to look classy rather than tacky. The view from the bed through some 'designer' Asian theme trees framing what seemed an endless English countryside at its best view accross a gold course. An ample and spotlessly clean bathroom in the middle and another bed and lounge area, a little smaller but very much complimentary and in sympathy with the overall look and feel. Another small balcony looking onto the front garden area, some private parking exclusive to The Lodge and then accross the road to a school and beyond. I stood on that balcony for over fifteen minutes at around 9:30pm and not one car passed by. It was so quiet. We had an adequate evening meal at the pub five minutes down the road. We were able to specify specific breakfast requirements by texting Peter. The breakfast was fresh cooked and served and as good as any breakfast I have had anywhere. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thanks Peter! Steve. the pub food was ok but only ok in my opinion. other than that, nothing.
- Paul (10/5): Outstanding and very comfortable - Fantastic boutique hotel as just two suites, but very comfortable, homely and all facilities. Can sleep 3 in one suite and I think 5 in other, so good combination.
Owner, Peter, has built the perfect lodge and was an excellent and attentive host, I’ve already booked place out for next visit to Nottingham in February. Nothing to dislike.
- Hugh (10/5): Wonderful, Welcoming & Wow Factor. - Beautiful venue. A great example of how to get everything just right.
Communication brilliant. Warm welcome. Stunning courtyard garden & a 5 star breakfast.
Peter was a wonderful host and should be really proud of what he has there.
- Simon (10/5): Very enjoyable stay at the lodge. The host, Peter, is a gent and made us feel very relaxed. - Great stopover. Nice breakfast. Spacious suite. Safe parking. Nothing.
- Jake (10/5): Highly recommended unique personalised service. - This is a really unique accommodation, smart, comfortable and friendly personalised services.
- Mark6050 (9/5): Overnight just out of Nottingham - Very unique, personally hosted by Peter and generously gave us beers on arrival. Arranged for us to have dinner nearby at the Ruddington Arms which was excellent. Nothing
- Derek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eugene (10/5): - The location is great foe a walking tour of Ruddington and area , close to bus service. Very clean and cute. Great company and information by Peter , the owner.
- Lance (10/5): Exceptional - Peter our host is incredibly polite, friendly and competent. The rooms are understated in the description, they are wonderful. The breakfast cooked and serviced by Peter himself. Great guy. I wish it was nearer to Donington Park. No other dislikes or complaints. Warm and friendly place to stay.
- Heinz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): best place to stay in Nottingham - Peter was the best host ever.
- Carol (10/5): Stunning room and a great host - Loved everything about my stay. The setting is a little haven in an already beautiful village. Peter is an excellent host and was there to greet me on arrival and helped me to the room with my bags. The suite was more than I would ever expect from a BandB, really was luxury with every comfort on hand. I did not want to leave and will be back the first chance I get. Perfect stay with absolutely nothing to critique.
- Colin (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wendy (10/5): Our stay was luxurious and relaxing in a beautiful setting. - This was a superbly presented venue, truly luxurious. The owner went out of his way to be helpful, accommodating an earlier than scheduled check-in, providing bespoke breakfast, booking local dinner arrangements for us. I would definitely go back here again.
- Allan (6/5): - It was Ok, but it was not what the website claimed it to be. There is no mention that it is a small B B as part of the owner's house; it represents itself as a hotel. that said, it was an OK B B -- it deserves 3-stars, not 5.
- Jane (10/5): A pleasure to stay with such a caring host. I will be returning - The peaceful ambience of The Lodge and the attention to every little detail by Peter.
- Jake (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stewart (10/5): Wonderful host and property - Peter is a wonderful host and nothing too much trouble. Lovely location next to the golf course near to Nottingham/Loughborough.
When we are in the area again we will be back!
- Amy (10/5): The lodge certainly didn’t disappoint, the breakfast was out of this world. - Beautiful property, spotless, and charming.
Peter, what a host! He couldn’t do enough for us, we only stayed for one night but wished we had booked for longer. Nothing to dislike
- Karen (10/5): Lovely - Beautifully decorated rooms and exceptionally helpful host.
- Matthew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Peter is charming - lovely comfy stay - A gorgeous place, breakfast was special. Peter is a dear - got us dinner reservations and suggested the car museum up the road, turns out the track was having a race day - a fantastic day of racing.
- Wendy (9/5): Great host, lovely property - The host was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was your choice for time and what you wanted to eat.
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional - My stay with Peter was a last minute chance booking. But honestly the best little B and B I’ve ever had the pleasure to stay in. To be greeted at the gate by a happy helpful person after a 4 hour drive and stress of a booking mix up at my planned hotel followed by a panicked look for somewhere to sleep. Was just stress shedding, after hearing what had happened Peter offered to cook me dinner on the spot to save me hunting for a restaurant. Then to find the room to be at perfect as it is the stress of a really bad day was melted away. Nothing
- Kirkpatrick (10/5): Wonderful base in quiet area of Nottingham - We had a fantastic stay, Peter the host was very welcoming and went above and beyond and helped to book a taxi for us to travel to town for dinner. Parking was safe and off-street and the accommodation is in a lovely quiet area. We had gorgeous views of (what I presume is) the golf course next door from the top floor of our accommodation. Spotlessly clean, and yummy breakfast. Lots of extra touches in the room like fresh flowers which we appreciated. Nothing
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dina (10/5): Highly recommended - Everything was great. Peter an amazing person to meet with. I travel always and it was the first time to have such an amazing place to stay and great time for us to spend with Peter. whenever I come back to the Nottingham I will definitely stay at the Lodge. highly recommended!!!!! Not to have more days to spend there ;)
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Quite a unique experience of this quirky, luxurious oasis in the centre of Ruddington. - Fantastic location right near the centre of Ruddington so easy to walk into the centre. This is quite a unique B&B providing luxurious accommodation in the heart of this Nottinghamshire village. Peter your host is quite the raconteur having spent a career in the local hospitality and entertainment sectors and will strive to ensure you stay is as enjoyable as possible. Can't really say there was anything we didn't like.

Would love to have the opportunity to charge an electric car at the property.
