- LORI (1/5): - We booked through bookings.com and never saw the rooms were up a big staircase. My guanacos is disabled so after an all day drive to get there we couldn’t stay and had to pay or deposit, plus find a room elsewhere.
- Marcela (10/5): Everything was excellent - Breakfast was delicious. Location was excellent. Everything was excellent
- Shelayne (10/5): Within walking distance to the Capitol building and a bus stop. - Location and hosts were great. Would have liked access to a hot beverage at the end of the day.
- Filizzi (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): If you want a comfortable stay with calming down to earth folks, stay here! If you are a Vet, you will be supporting ano - Location was excellent and just off the beaten path with it quiet in a court. Little warmer would have sat outside in the evening! Nothing!
- Ann (9/5): Great choice for visiting wonderful Colonial Williamsburg - Hosts Tom & Sue are very welcoming and informative. The house is within walking distance of the Capitol and the shuttle bus station - important as you don’t need a car to get around. The room was roomy, comfortable and charming, and the surroundings calm and quiet. There is a pleasant living room downstairs for the use of guests, and the entire house is nicely decorated in a colonial style. Breakfast was copious and enjoyable as we chatted with the hosts while eating. House is walking distance to a few restaurants - we especially liked Second Street Bistro. Colonial Williamsburg is an incredible, fascinating place to visit - we learned so much about history and 18th century trades with passionate employees in an authentic atmosphere. We hope to return soon to Adrich House and Colonial Williamsburg! Nothing really - bathroom is a bit dated, but this did not bother us - we loved our stay at Aldrich House!
- Richard (10/5): Wonderful on every level and will stay again on our next trip to Williamsburg. - Breakfast was wonderful. Great selection and perfectly prepared.
- Chris (10/5): - Everything was very nice. Breakfast was delicious both mornings we were there. Tom and Sue were really nice hosts, had a great time chatting with them as well as some others in their family along with the other guests.
- KT (6/5): Lovely room, but some minor issues - The room itself was lovely and very comfortable. The faucet for the bathroom sink was very difficult to turn on. The second day of my stay, the trash was emptied but the bed was not remade. Breakfast was not flexible, but at a single time - 8:30 am, which did not work at all for me on 2 days of my stay.
- Nadejda (10/5): Charming Stay with Exceptional Hosts - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house. The home is beautifully decorated, conveniently within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg and just a short drive to Historic Jamestowne. Breakfast was generous and delicious—Sue is a wonderful cook. Tom, with his deep knowledge of Colonial and Civil War history, offered excellent recommendations on places to visit and dine. Our mornings were made even better by engaging and informative conversations over breakfast.
- Robert (10/5): A great stay at the very comfortable Aldrich House. - Tom and Sue, the hosts, were amazing. So friendly and helpful. Tom cooked the most delicious breakfasts. Nothing.
- COLLEEN (8/5): - Very convenient to Colonial Williamsburg, an easy walk. Host was very knowledgeable about history and was happy to share. The full breakfast prepared by Tom was fantastic every morning.
We were not comfortable using the refrigerator in the home's kitchen to store our drinks and things so we did without any refrigeration.
We booked the smaller room so there was only one chair but the bed was comfortable and there was ample room for storage.
- Amanda (10/5): It was a great stay! - The breakfast is very good. Tom always makes a delicious and fresh breakfast.
The location is excellent. It is close to everything we are doing. The spicket to the sink is hard to turn on. The bathtub was a little slippery. The trashcan in the bathroom could be bigger or place a second one in the bedroom.
- John (10/5): Checked all the right boxes for an excellent overnight stay - Demi very welcomed in the house N/A
- John (10/5): - The hosts at Aldrich House are great and provide a wonderful breakfast served family style in the beautiful home. Overall a very clean and lovely setting to relax for the few days we were in town to visit Williamsburg. Very easily walkable distance (about 10 minute walk with sidewalks all the way) to downtime Colonial Williamsburg. Free to visit town, but you will need tickets for events and attractions. Stayed here over July 4th and crowds not an issue at all.
- Ryan (10/5): A hidden gem with convenient location - This property is BEAUTIFUL! Conveniently located just across the street from Colonial Williamsburg. Breakfast is severed in style with outstanding presentation accompanied with great conversation with the Inn keepers.
- Lannie (10/5): - The home was beautiful and comfortable. We will return when we visit Williamsburg.
- Erin (10/5): Easy walk to town with a feeling for f home each night - Great location, hot days but a nice cool room, hot water with good water pressure, easy parking, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast
- Stephen (3/5): Not our favorite B&B - Location to what we wanted to do in Williamsburg. Comfortable beds & rooms kept nice & cool. Only 1 breakfast time & it wasn’t until 8:30. No coffee/tea station - just coffee with breakfast. Bathroom needs work - plaster peeling/mold around shower rod & tub didn’t drain well.
- Michele (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Perfect for visiting W&M. Lovely people and beautiful home. So grateful.
- Zac (10/5): - If you’re looking for a cozy slice of Southern charm in Williamsburg, look no further than Aldrich Bed and Breakfast. From the moment we walked in, we were wrapped in warmth—not just from the inviting décor, but from the sweet couple who run this delightful inn. They treated us like family and whipped up a breakfast so good it could start a peace treaty. We’re talking fluffy biscuits, rich coffee, and eggs that tasted like they were laid by hens with culinary degrees. Every corner of the house tells a story, and every conversation with our hosts made us feel more at home. It’s the kind of place where time slows down just enough for you to savor the moment—and maybe one more slice of homemade pie. If Southern hospitality had a headquarters, it would be here. We’ll definitely be back—and bringing our appetites with us!
- Amanda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miles (10/5): - The couple who own the Aldrich House are delightful hosts. Their cooking is phenomenal and they were very accommodating. They gave us great recommendations for where to go out to eat and what to see in our short time in Williamsburg. Their house is very walkable to Colonial Williamsburg.

In addition, Tom makes delicious breakfasts!. We wish them the best and look forward to staying with them in the future.

The food was great. The room was great. The space was very comfortable.
- Dean (10/5): Great location, wonderful accommodations and breakfast. Truly a local gem. - The property was comfortable, with colonial decor, and the host and hostess were cordial and informative as to area events. The Great room was a wonderful place to relax and visit, or browse many informative books and other publications. The breakfast was delicious. Tom was a great cook and enjoyed visiting during the meal; all the while being very informative regarding Colonial Williamsburg and the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Ralph (10/5): - Tom and Sue were wonderful and gracious hosts. Tom was willing to share his love of history to recommend places to visit. Our bedroom was very large with a comfortable king-size bed. The whole house was filled with charming, period appropriate furniture and decorations. Breakfast was very good and plentiful.
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Immaculately clean home. Lot's of history coffee table books available to peruse. Comfortable bad. Walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg capital building. Quiet cul de sac neighborhood. Good family style breakfasts. Knowledgeable host.

- Loretta (10/5): Residence and staff were great, as well as the location. Price was reasonable. Highly recommended! - Location was excellent. - Fred (10/5): - Very comfortable. Good breakfast every day.
- Mark (10/5): - The Aldrich House was perfect for visiting Colonial Williamsburg. It is a block from the back parking lot for Christina Cambell's Tavern. So, we parked at the house and walked into town each day.
The house looks like one of the colonial houses in Williamsburg. It was decorated inside in the same colonial style. The room was cozy, clean, and decorated the same way. A wonderful breakfast was served family-style in the dining room.
We were very impressed and could not ask for a better place to stay while visiting Colonial Williamsburg.

We loved the colonial decorations throughout the home, and all of the special touches. The owners, Tom and Sue, were not only friendly and provided a delicious breakfast, but were so helpful in terms of advising exactly what to see and directions as well. It was also a pleasure having breakfast with other traveling couples from not only another state, but another country as well! If we ever are back in Williamsburg, we will definitely stay here again.
- DAVID (10/5): Don’t Miss It - Great! Convenient to Colonial Williamsburg! Proprietors wonderful!
- Barbara (9/5): Best place to stay in Williamsburg - The B&B is perfectly located just at the beginning of the historical Williamsburg: it’s just a 5min walk until you’ll be immersed in the old town.
The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in colonial style, matching the town’s vibe.
Tom and Sue were wonderful hosts, it was super nice talking to them and knowing more about the site’s history (but not only!).
The home cooked breakfast was generous and tasty!
Everything -from arrival to check out- met or even exceeded our expectations. I can only recommend this place! -
- Linda (10/5): - Home was lovely and beds were comfortable It was very quiet but restful I suggest grab bars in the shower, a step stool for the 4 poster beds and perhaps a small frig in the room for ice or cold drinks
- Debra (10/5): - We are frequent flyers to Williamsburg & love this area. In the past, we stayed with family, but they no longer live there, so we needed a place to stay during our trip. We decided to go the BnB route & we are so glad we did!
We stayed in the Lewis room, which is the smallest of the 3 rooms, but it was fine for us during our 3 night stay. The queen bed was very comfortable & the bathroom, while small, met our needs.
The home is typical colonial home & is beautiful. It was decorated just as you would expect. Lots of historical art and books, which my husband loved! The owners had two historical murals painted in the common room opposite of each other, one of the Capitol and one of the Wrenn Building, to give you the feel of standing on Duke of Gloucester Street. This was a wonderful & unique touch that we loved. The common room was a great place to gather. The home has a lovely deck in the back that allowed us to sit & enjoy the evening. The was also a wonderful part of our stay.
The breakfast was great all three days. Each day there was plenty of coffee and juice. Scrambled eggs were served each day along with fresh fruit & a meat. One day we had pancakes, one day we had waffles & one day there was biscuits with sausage gravy.
One of the best parts was it is walking distance to the colonial area, specifically to the Capitol bldg side of town.
Tom and Sue were excellent hosts who were enjoyable to spend time with. We felt like family and will be back!

Our girls loved the reading nook in our quad room (and read a lot, not turning on the TV once during our stay). The location is ideal... other than driving to Jamestown, we did not use our car... easily walking to adjacent Colonial Williamsburg and William & Mary. Finally, the hosts Tom and Sue were wonderful. While we were with them only a few short days, our visits made it feel like we were staying with friends. Overall, I highly recommend Aldrich House for a family trip to the area!

The bed and linens we soft and comfortable. Breakfast was promptly served at 8:30am with a range of pancakes or french toast with eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and warm syrup! We enjoyed our hosts and the lively conversation between us and other guests. The property is a short walk to the colonial williamsburg area, but also easily driveable. I would definitely book here again!

- Verified traveler (10/5): The FOX & the Fried eggs… - My fiancé and I found the home very warm & inviting. The host family was incredibly friendly and unbelievably knowledgeable about history in general & Williamsburg of course.
We invited a local couple we knew over for drinks and share a warm fire, Tom & Susan (hosts) were more than accommodating w/ our guests and made them feel right at home. The hosts sat and talked with the 4 of us for awhile, it was great conversation.
The home is ‘less than’ 2 blocks away from Colonial Williamsburg.
The home was beautifully appointed with details & furnishings of the colonial period.

We had breakfast with the owners twice and it was definitely a filling, tasty meal along with wonderful conversation with the owners, Tom and Sue... we could have just hung around talking to them all day!
