El desayuno es personalizado entre cuatro opciones, riquísimo y abundante. El hotel tiene pocas habitaciones lo que le da ina sensación de intimidad que se percibe Se permite dejar el auto en la puerta y, estando dentro del casco historico, no es necesario su uso. El plus para que sea perfecto lo pone su personal. Anna es una excelente anfitriona. Paciente y dedicada, se nota que esta en cada detalle con el objetivo que sus huéspedes tengan la mejor estadía Es, sin duda, para volver.

We felt like we had entered a house with its own personality, not just another beautifully arranged accommodation space. Not to mention that the location is perfect.

• Philip (10/5): Classical charm in the heart of the Old Town - Beautiful historic house in the stunning Old Town of Brasov. Traditionally decorated in a very classical way (possible exception the bright red shower lol). The host was super friendly. Nothing for us but the stairs to the bedroom are very steep with shallow treads. Just requires vigilance when descending with bags.

• Vivien (10/5): Book here if you want a serene, tasteful stay. - Very responsive and helpful staff. Was dealing with jet lag and a bit of a language barrier upon arrival, and the receptionist was kind enough to assist me in booking a shuttle back to the airport and accommodate a late check out. They shared splendid recommendations of what to do around the area and where to get traditional Romanian bites. The property itself is beautiful and has a lot of intimate, old world charm which is exactly what I wanted. Fantastic location that’s tucked away from the main center (plenty of privacy and quiet) yet still convenient by foot to get around. I wish they extended their breakfast hours or offered a light lunch, unfortunately I slept in and missed the cut off which is 10 am. They offer a varied menu of English, French, Transylvanian and Russian breakfasts which I regret not being able to try. Would consider this closer to a bed and breakfast establishment than a hotel.
• Mario (10/5): - Si tratta di un'antica casa trasformata in uno splendido boutique hotel, molto tranquillo, vicinissimo al centro (raggiungibile facilmente a piedi in cinque minuti) con alcune bellissime camere - la nostra, suddivisa in più stanze, era enorme - con pavimenti in legno e dettagli curatissimi che conferiscono un'atmosfera d'altri tempi. Si viene accolti dalla gerente molto gentile e disponibile. Eccellente le colazioni: si può scegliere tra colazione classica francese continentale, inglese, russa (con tanto di caviale e salmone), o transilvana (coscia d'anatra e prosecco, confit, succo d'arancia, ecc). La colazione viene servita in un piccolo graziosissimo locale al pianterreno: anche qui dettagli curatissimi e tavolo imbandito con eleganza; anche qui sembra di essere trasportati in un altro mondo. Eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo. Possibilità di parcheggiare davanti all'hotel senza sovrapprezzo. Dalle finestre non si ha vista, l'immobile risultando incastonato in una serie di costruzioni. La cosa, comunque, non ci ha minimamente disturbato, considerata la bellezza di tutto il resto.

• Karen (10/5): Excellent hotel in a perfect location for tourists. - The location of this hotel is within easy walking distance to the tourist area. The host was very friendly and helpful. There are chairs in the room to sit in. Spacious bathroom. Everything looked clean. Excellent breakfast. We had duck confit which was a rare breakfast offering. But we were very happy to have it. We highly recommend this place. The room across the hallway had their main light on all night which shone through the windows above their door and ours which made our room very bright all night.

Camera noastra a fost foarte mare si include toate necesitatile pentru o sedere cat mai placuta plus ca amenajarea acestei camere este superba, ofera un aer boem in ton cu povestea vilei si numele purtat. Curatenia a fost facuta imediat fara incidente. Micul dejun este exceptional, ofera diverse optiuni, produsele au fost proaspete si am savurat fiecare optiune a acestuia. Locația este excelenta, mai ales ca am stat cu cel mic, am ajuns imediat in centrul vechi al orasului si ne-am bucurat de fiecare clipa. Recomand, este ideal! Nu exista nemultumiri!

• Marcopro (5/5): Not Handicapped Accessible & Old, dated bedroom & bathroom; Value is Expensive - Breakfast was freshly prepared, tasty and adequate in terms of portions. The check in was quick and efficient as was check out. Finding the entrance to the hotel was a challenge. You travel through an alley aside from the building. After check-in, you exit the building to the alley which is uncovered to the weather elements. We had to carry our own luggage except for one bag that the receptionist carried for us. We have to walk up stairs to the entrance to the door to access the rooms. Then we had to walk up a flight of stairs with all of our bags (except the bag that the receptionist carried). If I was a senior citizen, I would have been challenged. And none of the facilities are handicapped accessible. The room is like staying in your old aunt's bedroom. It needs updating. It is filled with old furniture including the bed and mattress which needs replacing. The bedroom is small and challenged to find room to place all of our luggage. The bathroom is large and adequate except the towels were too thin. Value is off. The price of the room that I paid (nearly $173) is expensive. I recommended a price of no more than $100 per night. Would I stay here again? No. Would I recommend it to others? No especially if you are elderly or handicapped.

The rooms were very clean and spacious, making our stay extremely comfortable. The service was truly above and beyond – attentive, warm, and always helpful. Breakfast was another highlight: you choose your options the evening before, and the selection is both varied and delicious, served with the same outstanding hospitality. The location is also perfect – right in the heart of Brașov, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Overall, Vila Katharina exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

• Ann (6/5): Not as beautiful as I had hoped and not as interesting as they think it is. - The bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet. It was however somewhat contrived and intentionally 'wacky' which I do not like. The breakfast sounded interesting but was actually just plain weird. Again the intentionally and very self conscious attempt to be wacky I found very annoying.
• Joshua (10/5): The definition of a boutique experience! - Vila Katharina blew us away, we weren't expecting such a boutique experience but it didn't disappoint. The rooms are incredible with heaps of history and attention to detail, the staff were lovely and very helpful too. You couldn't choose a more perfect location, 2 minutes walk from the Black Church and main square beyond yet off the main busy tourist streets so much calmer.
