- NUNN (9/5): Highly recommended for a short stay. - Extremely attentive host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms. Preparation and presentation of food was excellent. Good value for money. The location was some distance from the coast but in very attractive countryside. Otherwise absolutely nothing to complain about.
- Matthew (7/5): Lovely stay apart from cobwebs in room - Breakfast was lovely
Comfy bed and pillows
Room was lovely and dark so a good night's sleep Only downside was the cobwebs in bedroom
- Aldo (10/5): Very friendly owner, great room, excellent breakfast. -
- Anselyn (10/5): A lovely BnB in the countryside. The quality breakfast makes it good value for money. - Perfectly formed breakfast with good choices available. The fresh fruit was properly fresh and the bacon and sausage of a high quality. The marmalade was fantastic - I think homemade- and a superb tangy balance to the Full English. Watching the wild birds on the birdfeeder as we breakfasted was great (including the greater spottedwoodpecker) and a sunset stroll up the field to the observation point/hut was a great end to the day. Nothing really. I had extra toast each day when asked if I wanted more - perhaps asking how may slices of toast would be normal for me would have been easier. Equally - I "needed" extra toast as the butter was so lovely and went so well with the marmalade mentioned elsewhere.
- George (10/5): Exceptional - Staff & Location
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely and peaceful Nothing
- Nigel (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (9/5): Comfortable stay in the Welsh countryside near Carmarthen. - We were warmly welcomed by Christine who gave us the choice of a double room or the king room - we chose the latter. The room was warm, comfortable and clean. Later, we met Martin who came to check that our radiator was on and that we had settled in well. We had decided to have supper in our room but Martin suggested that we use the dining room. He provided crockery and cutlery and willingly put our wine in the fridge. Our breakfasts were good; cooked by Martin at the time we chose. We are not fans of electric showers as they don’t give a strong jet of water but it was satisfactory. Good quality towels.
- Anwen (8/5): Warm & welcoming accommodation close to the National Botanic Garden of Wales - Quick & easy check in - had filled in a questionnaire in advance. Room was comfortable - good size bathroom (huge towels), kettle, biscuits and information book. Only a few minutes easy drive from the National Botanic Garden (our reason for staying). Excellent breakfast - plenty of choice. We followed the what3words that Martin, the host, had provided to find the house, which took us straight to the door. Good wifi
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rod (7/5): Enjoyable and met our needs for exploring by car. - Friendly and helpful host, tasty breakfast with good range of choices, pleasant garden. Bedroom a bit cramped and limited lounge area. Location by road with not as much potential for walking around in the immediate vicinity, though fine for expeditions by car.
- Julie (10/5): Stunning location great hospitality. - Beautiful grounds, comfy beds, lovely breakfast, martin is such a great guy, friendly and welcoming, definitely will be coming back. Nothing
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- Charlotte (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting, great host, comfortable nothin Nothing
- Paul (10/5): Would go back again - Easy to get to and breakfast very good Very good astablishment
- Julie (9/5): Comfortable and relaxing - The room was very comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and Martin was very welcoming and friendly
- Ceri (9/5): A great B&B, in a lovely location, with lots to do in the area! - A very comfortable and well-equipped room, in a lovely location. The owner was extremely helpful andwelcoming. Our breakfasts were excellent too.
- Aneela (8/5): Carmathern trip - Lovely place to stay, very tidy and comfortable. Scenery very beautiful and host very friendly.
BnB ideal place for Carmathern town only 10 to 12 min drive, lots of shops, supermarkets and a cinema here.
Beaches are less than an hour from hotel. One is 20mins away. We went to relax and enjoyed our quiet evenings.
TV has apps so you can watch your fav programs, ie Netflix, BBCiplayer and others. Just slightly out of reach for anything local. On main road so would need car to go anywhere to eat out.
- Peter (10/5): Comfortable, Cosy and Convenient!! - Martin is an excellent host, his breakfasts were well cooked and there was a large choice. Our room was clean, comfortable and cosy. His recommendations of eateries in the area were good, especially Emlyn Arms. Bryn Hebog is situated only a few miles from Carmarthen which was most convenient. We enjoyed the drive to Tenby and Saundersfoot, both worth a visit. Also the Gwili Steam Heritage Railway, but must be booked in advance. All in all a great few days stay.
- Stephen (10/5): I would highly recommend Bryn Hebog to anyone visiting this area. - Bryn Hebog was perfect for our stay. It is well situated in beautiful surroundings and allows easy access to many of the areas' attractions. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our host Martin could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
- Russell (9/5): Had a relaxing stay - Central to our needs Nothing
- Michael (10/5): The perfect B and B in terms of comfort, food and service in a beautiful and peaceful location that is close to so many - Martin is the perfect host - welcoming and attentive which made our stay very special. Our en-suite room was spotlessly clean, had a very comfortable bed and was equipped with everything one would want for the stay. The breakfasts were delicious, varied and very generous in their portions. I am gluten free and very much enjoyed Christine’s scrumptious, home made GF bread. Bryan Hebog’s quiet location within beautiful scenery is ideally situated for exploring the area and for visiting renowned sites, close by, and in all directions - be they gardens, castles, beaches or the Brecon Beacons. Bustling Carmarthan town with its shops and excellent restaurants is 5 minutes away by car.
- Laurence (9/5): Superb - Delightful guest house in a lovely location with spectacular views over the valley from the upper part of the garden. Very friendly and helpful hosts who made us feel completely at home. The breakfast was very good with sufficient choice to satisfy both of us (including allowances for food allergies).
- Tony (10/5): Lovely & convenient place to stay. When visiting friends nearby. We hope to make a return visit. - Beautiful location

Plenty of local information available.
Lovely gardens & views from the meadows.

- Geoff (8/5): Very good - Very personable owner Shower bit old
- Roger (9/5): Excellent place to stay - This was an excellent B&B and our host Martin was most attentive, helped us with our luggage an anything else we needed. Breakfast was excellent. It was not far to drive to pubs and restaurants and Martin had been very diligent providing full information. Bed was a little on the small side.
- Timms (9/5): Superb - Clean, lovely view of the garden. Host very helpful.

Breakfast was freshly cooked according to what you ordered the day before, and very tasty.
Martin the owner was very welcoming and friendly.

- Sandra (10/5): A very welcoming and comfortable environment which provided everything we could possibly wish for. - We appreciated the friendly welcome, that everything we could wish for was provided and that our room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.
- Anonymous (10/5): Relaxing, welcoming and extremely comfortable. - Friendly, extremely welcoming. Very comfortable and lovely and clean.
Breakfast was excellent freshly made to order, delicious. Happy with everything.
- Sian (9/5): Solo traveller who would recommend Bryn Hebog - Bryn Hebog is comfortable and very clean. The bedroom was well stocked with tea, coffee, and biscuits. There is a lovely conservatory to relax in, and the well maintained grounds are a pleasure to wander around. Martin (the owner) made me feel welcome and cooked a lovely breakfast each morning. The guest house is on a quiet lane and is ideally situated to visit the Botanic Gardens and Aberglasney. The weather, as it was raining.
- Steven (9/5): Good stay excellent breakfast - Very helpful and friendly
- Peter (10/5): Room, the setting, the food and the service were all excellent. - Martin made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for him, even when we had to leave at the crack of dawn! There were nice touches in the room such as a hair net, sewing kit and Q-tips. The Breakfast was excellent and Martin happily provided us with fresh milk for many cups of tea. The setting is wonderful and Martin's photography of the local wildlife is stunning. We THOROUGHLY recommend. Nothing.
- Brian (10/5): JUST SO NICE .EVERYTHING -
- Larry (10/5): Exceptional - The location and welcome was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. There was not anything we didn't like.
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wilson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacob (9/5): Superb - Martin the host was warm and accommodating. The property itself is cozy, beautiful, homely and very well maintained. Nothing. It was a pleasant stay.
- Hermione (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gordon (9/5): Great base for exploring - Excellent breakfast. Very nice host. Location was perfect for exploring the Towy Valley area. Lovely meadow-like garden up behind the property with a gazebo at the top which is ideal for unwinding at the end of the day - great views across the valley. You can also use the conservatory. Personally, we prefer a much firmer mattress, but this is a minor quibble (I am sure softer mattresses are fine for other people).
- Geoffrey (10/5): Superb - The excellent hospitality and service Show operation Waa a bit difficult for me to work out.
- Mrs (9/5): Perfect place for bird watching - Great location for what i wanted to do.
Good size twin room with ensuite good size. Lovey views of the garden.
Lovely garden to wander in and watch the many birds feed. Extra bonus wildflower meadow to walk through on mown paths to take im the views. Conservatory inside to read if wished.
Good carparking space. Friendly host. Pillows a little soft for me but personal preference.
Would have prefered towel rail to be warm for my towels.
Shower not easy to get correct temperature, adequate. No conditioner.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Excellent host, great breakfasts. - Location & Staff
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Nice location and garden, wintergarden, beautiful photographs could be bought, but since we went back by flight we couldn't take any with us. There is some free stuff, like cookies, tea or water. Others can be bought. The bed was a bit small and not very comfortable. This is partly my fault, since we are quite tall and should go with the king-size bed if available.
- Douglas (8/5): Beakfaste was excellent. Martin was fantastic. - the gardens. the steps.
- Mark (9/5): Great hosts and beautiful location - I’d like to thank Martin for a wonderful stay. Breakfast was perfect , our room was very comfortable and clean and we thought the tuck shop with honesty box was a brilliant idea. The gardens are probably the best thing about Bryn hebog if you take the path up the hill behind the property you’ll come across a observation hut and the view looking down into the valley is stunning. The room was a little cramped but the view more than made up for it.
- Simon (10/5): Overnight stop on way to ferry. Would definitely stay again next time. - Very friendly host, beautiful area.
- Cerys (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marian (10/5): A short but very comfortable stay. Breakfast was excellent. would recommend - Conveniently located on our long distance walk. Martin went over and above making us feel welcome Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Excellent, comfortable B+B in good location - Lovely breakfast. Martin was a very good, helpful host.
- Moira (9/5): Superb - Clean comfortable, good breakfast, friendly Quite a busy road, not great for country walks.
- Sally (10/5): Perfect host, perfect location, great breakfast. - Location, friendliness, tranquility, decor & Breakfast.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vincent (8/5): Very good - Beautiful surroundings
Pure peace
Martin fantastic host Room we were in a little small
As a twin
Also no where to put shower gels ect in shower
A little shelf would be useful
As hard to bend to floor
Especially if disabled or elderly
- Sally (10/5): Excellent B and B in a lovely rural setting - I booked last minute and the owner was very obliging indeed. I could not have asked for a more comfortable stay.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Lovely friendly welcome
Warm comfortable room
Perfect breakfast Nothing
- Joy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (10/5): Top stay in the finest Welsh countryside. - Great location in beautiful countryside above the River Towy. Amazing garden, birds and wildlife.
Very comfortable, clean rooms and en suite. Very good breakfast. Nothing to report.
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kerim (10/5): Highly recommend! An incredible stay! - Breakfast was incredible with lovely views of the garden and surround landscape. The staff super friendly and most welcoming. It had parking and was in close enough proximity to the local town and botanical garden. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I'll definitely be coming back again when I'm next in Wales :)
- Lws (9/5): pleasant overnight stay - lovely setting; pleasant owner; good breakfast. nothing
- Jonny (8/5): A cosy night's stay with a very lovely host :) - Bryn Hebog was clearly signposted at the side of the road, which made it easy not to miss. There is private parking off the road which was perfect for our long wheel base van. The Host (Martin) greeted us at the door and was extremely friendly, offering to help with our bags. He showed us around the B&B and made it feel like our home for the night. The bed was soft and the sheets were crisp/smelt lovely! The B&B was very clean overall. I really enjoyed the full english breakfast - we were seated at a table which was set up with linen and china tea cups / plates. The homemade apple and blackberry jam was so lovely, thanks to Christine! This will likely be our go-to if we ever need to visit Glangwili Hospital for work again. A very cosy night's stay, thank you very much :) - Jess The twin bedroom was a little bit on the small side for 2 people due to all of the furniture in there. However I would say that the furniture was necessary to make the stay more comfortable (especially if you were there for more than one night).
- Stuart (10/5): An excellent stay in the Welsh countryside. - Very well-equipped accommodation (similar to a four-star hotel) with excellent breakfast and welcoming host. A fine garden with views over the Towy Valley. Comfortable beds in a warm room with views of the garden. A pleasant lounge in a conservatory. No problems, but people with limited mobility should be aware that there are steps up to the accommodation.
- Fay (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast cooked to order by the host who was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. The wildlife was fabulous, there was a hide at the top of the back garden and the views were spectacular.
- Susan (10/5): A very comfortable stay - we felt well looked after without a load of fuss. - Lovely choices for breakfast, butter in a dish (no fiddly little squares to unwrap) and delicious home made marmalade.
We enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting after a couple of busy days out. A longer stay!
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional - Great service friendly great location None
- David (8/5): Very good -
- J (10/5): Great short stay in a beautiful area - Excellent location, as I had planned to visit gardens and all within easy reach of the property.
Excellent breakfast and choice. Clean, comfortable, good parking and very good host Martin. Nothing
- A (10/5): Beautiful stay at Bryn Hebog, Carmarthenshire. - We felt very welcome. We thought Martin and Christine went beyond the normal B&B hosts in providing lots of little extras for our comfort. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts. We also had beautiful gardens and views to enjoy.
We definitely would return. No complaints at all.
