- Colette (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): Perfect - Location Nothing
- Christine (8/5): -
- Howard (7/5): Nice comfortable apartment in a great location. - Very nice location.
Spacious and comfortable rooms. Nice bathrooms. Very good WiFi. Great view of the sea. Rooms somehow seemed a bit bland and dated.
The stairs were very hard to negotiate. A lift would have been perfect.
- Mike (10/5): Convenient, comfortable, fabulous views night and day, lots of equipment in the kitchen - Large with fantastic sea views Nothing
- Adam (8/5): -
- Susan (7/5): -
- Claire (10/5): Excellent apartment and very good location with fantastic views -
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Benjawan (8/5): - Property has restaurant on site which is convenient, the bed are average not too comfortable but not that terrible. both of bedrooms smell damn/wet
- Kehoe (9/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): Lovely apartment stay at Douglas, great location to explore Isle of Man. - Great location, very large apartment with everything you could need. Great to relax, explore and get clean clothes. Near everything. Check in and out easy. Sealed windows in front room made that room a bit stuffy in summer while other appartments had theirs open? All door closures presumably as fire doors felt a bit isolating.
- Sheila (2/5): Grubby place - Very grubby place, smelt bad, bathrooms mouldy, kitchen sticky
- Louise (8/5): Family adventures - Plenty of space / good location/ everything you needed in the kitchen
Enjoyable stay The bed wasn't most comfortable but that's a personal preference
Blinds irritated me
If staying in front lounge needed working blinds - too bright
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location
- Kirsty (9/5): Superb -
- Susanne (8/5): Very good - Location was great. Lovely to look out at the sea. The Apartment had everything we could possible need. Parking was by disc zone, two hours and no return within two hours. I thought when I booked here that the parking was for the residents of the buildings so was a little disappointed. As it turned out we managed. Used long stay carpark when necessary.
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The location of these apartments are great...right on the front, 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal and a minutes walk to the shops.
The apartment itself was spacious and clean...it had everything you need for your stay, a fully equipped kitchen a large living room with tremendous views of the bay...the beds were clean and comfortable.
Would recommend these apartments.
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicola (10/5): - Wonderful place! The apartment is huge and very well equipped. The location is perfect in Douglas Beach Promenade. Nigel, the manager, is the best!
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Susan (10/5): - Great location, close to shops and beach. Apartment had everything we needed.
- Prosser (7/5): Good - Good location Too many stairs to take up luggage. Also rooms could do with more lighting.
- Carol (9/5): Superb - Great location at seafront and with main shops in the streets behind. Airport bus stopped nearby on Loch Promenade. Amazingly well-equipped kitchen with air fryer, electric grill, sandwich toaster, three types of coffee maker, you name it. The sitting/dining room, with huge windows, makes the place - fabulous views of the sea, seafront and ferry terminal. Surprisingly comfy bunk bed (double bed below) in one bedroom and a double bed in the other (en suite) bedroom. Would definitely stay here again if in Douglas. Some decor is a little dated but doesn't affect your stay and the place is very well equipped. Back bedroom (with en suite) is colder than the other rooms but there's a heater. WiFi was a bit patchy a couple of times and TV reception the same one night. No idea how the fancy looking fire/stones feature in the sitting room works but again didn't bother us.
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Atkins (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (7/5): Location hard to beat - Location & amount of space Outdated decor, metal beds
- Lesley (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (8/5): Spacious pad - Great location, and facilities - never seen so many appliances in a kitchen 😀. The bedrooms are at the back so nice and quiet from the noise of the promenade Bathroom door lock is a bit stiff and some of the fittings are a wee bit tired, but nothing too bad
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlton (9/5): Superb - Fantastic view. Excellent location. Parking.
- Owen (7/5): Good location, variable weather. - Spacious and light Disingenuous to advertise parking when this is on-street with 2 hour maximum stay. Would not have booked had we known this beforehand.
- Benson (7/5): Home away from home! - Spacious, home away from home. Very good, water front location, easy access to town centre and short distance to bus station. Kitchen and lounge are great and well stocked! The bed was not very comfortable.
Internet access did not extend to the bedroom. Had to go to the lounge to use internet.
- Linda (9/5): Would recommend! - Fantastic location, fabulous views and excellently equipped kitchen! Nothing i didnt like, but if forced to give constructive feedback .....
The bedrooms were comfortable and clean but maybe could do with a little modernising.
- Christian (10/5): Regular visitor and always try to stay here - Excellent location Nothing
- Eamonn (8/5): Very good - The location and facilities, apartment had everything we needed and the location was great. The manager checking us in was very helpful explaining parking etc. very close to everything you could want The apartment is starting to look a little worn out, could do with a bit of a refresh.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb - Very clean and tidy.. had everything we needed
- Gary (8/5): Very good -
- Joanne (4/5): Isle of Man lovely wouldn’t stay or recommend the accommodation - Location It needs a lot of work, kitchen units shabby, brown stained toilet seats, windows dirty, looks like hand me down furniture. Smells, the en-suite of drains so bad we didn’t use it
- Peter (9/5): Everything I Required for my stay - Location, really Spacious mainly clean, Brilliant kitchen & Facillities Grill pan in oven hadn’t been cleaned from previous users, had to clean it myself , only complaint
- Margaret (9/5): Great host, close to everything, - Great location.close to shops, beach, ferry is only ten minute walk away. The apartment was well equipped with everything you need and felt like a home away from home.beds are comfortable.we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Cunard apartments for a comfortable stay. There are no lifts at Cunard apartments,we were on the top floor and it was a bit of a struggle getting our cases up the stairs,so if a customer wasn’t able to climb stairs then these apartments probably won’t suit.although my older sister is 80 years old and she managed ok.
- Sinéad (10/5): Exceptional - So near everything, was clean comfortable, home from home, really excellent location Some family members were older so stairs were bit of a problem for them
- Kathryn (9/5): Wonderful short break - We loved the spacious apartment with the amazing view of Douglas bay. It is close to shops too, which was very helpful. We had a great welcome and a nice send-off too. The promenade parking presented a challenge, but we managed it well following the advice from the owner.
- Daniel (7/5): Spacious, clean & a great location. - That it was spacious and comfortable in the living areas. Location was great, as we used the buses from Lord/Victoria Street every day for the week. Only real negative - the washier/drier machine wasn’t in service. We hiked the IoM coastal path in its entirety over 5 consecutive days, and needed this after 1.5 days of poor weather.
The owner washed and dried our washing for us (with his own appliance), which was very helpful & appreciated.
- Karen (8/5): Great location, spacious apartment - Spacious, fantastic location, great views, well equipped. Easy checkin and check out. Some of the furnishings are quite tired. The double bed was uncomfortable.
- Spacey (8/5): Very good - Roomy and clean
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): Very good - Great location in a well equipped apartment.
- Damien (9/5): Big apartment in a
great location.with a fantastic view - Great location and great sized apartment with a well equipped kitchen Just a little tired in places and toilet seat stained
- Diane (9/5): Great place and a great location - Lots of space , everything you may require in the kitchen etc
A great location , lots of space , the view was lovely from the lounge I would have liked to have been able to open some windows in the lounge , obviously safety has to be considered but would of liked some fresh air in
- Carl (9/5): Superb -
- James (9/5): Superb -
- Ben (9/5): Ideal place for what we needed. Close to town and the boat with great views - Proximity to town, light, airy space with a big social area -
- Alison (10/5): Absolutely wonderful! - There was everything you could possibly need in this very large apartment. The view was stunning across the sea and promenade . It was a little cold in the back bedroom but that’s just me.
- Peter (5/5): Adequate, but not the luxury apartment we expected! - Furniture and fittings looked tired. Access to property up steep narrow staircase...very tiring.
Maybe once a good value 4 star rating...but not now.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Symian (8/5): Very good -
- Maryanne (8/5): Great views from the apartment, and great location with shops readily available for self-catering - Liked the view, the spaciousness of the apartment Didn't know that there were quite a few flights of stairs to the apartment - difficult with the suitcases but managed. Also, the bed in the second room was a "bunk", would have preferred two single beds. Very difficult to get into the top bunk - no ladder
- Elisabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (9/5): Superb - Great location, very spacious apartment, great equipment
- Claudio (7/5): Everything was fine but the mattress on the bottom bunk (double) is very uncomfortable - Room 4 -
- Dean (10/5): Exceptional -
- John-michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geraldine (7/5): Good - Location. Excellent living accommodation. Second bedroom too small for bunk bed. Bathroom and en suite need upgrading.
- Fz69 (9/5): Great location and apartment. - Superb location, all facilities in the apartment to do whatever you wanted and a very good kitchen. Very clean, warm and comfortable.WiFi was decent. Location right on the prom so walking distance to everything. TVs were a bit iffy but this wasn't really a big issue cos we took our own firestick.
- Deborah (9/5): Lovely restful holiday - This was our second stay, location is great - right on the sea front, easy walk to the centre of Douglas. Nothing
- Chris (8/5): Wonderful. I'd stay here again. - The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. The location was superb. To have a view of the beach, sea and Tower of Refuge (which is lit at night) was perfect. Kitchen had everything necessary, beds were all made, en-suite and bathroom were stocked as expected and I felt very much at home here. The parking on Douglas Promenade is limited to 2 hours during the day else it is a car park, which is a 10 minute walk. The apartment is showing it's age and could do with some TLC.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Jackie (6/5): Convenient location. Spacious apartment but quality of furniture poor. - Spacious apartment overlooking Douglas Bay. Furniture very shabby. Not enough of some cutlery.
- Nick (10/5): Excellent property and does what it says exactly as it presents in marketing. - Stayed here in 2015 and perfect for the type of trip we wanted. Bed configurations can be challenging for a same sex group but we adapted and changed and it was fine.
- Deborah (9/5): Was a lovely apartment close to lots of amenities. Wish we could have stayed longer! - The view!! The 2 bed + 2 bath was very convenient for 4 of us and the kitchen was well appointed. The dining chairs were worn, and one of the twin beds was a little unstable. But wouldn’t be enough for us not to stay there again. Staff were very helpful and very honest!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Probably the best accommodation we've had on our trip. - This is a fabulous apartment, very roomy, comfortable and well equipped with entertainment and kitchen equipment. And the view over the water is amazing - watching sunrise, sunset and a very dramatic storm! Nothing
- Danielle (10/5): Great location, stunning views and ideal property - Perfect location The amount of stairs with no lift
- Stirling (9/5): Superb - Very spacious. Great location Muliti- floor apartment. Many calories were burnt going up and down stairs
- Ralph (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, have stayed here previously and will return again, many thanks!
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb - Location, big sitting room, lots of equipment in kitchen Small double bed, couch too uncomfortable to sleep on.
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Gathergood (6/5): Great at first glance but look deeper and the positivity wanes - Location and space The place looks and feels tired. The bedroom furniture is tatty, one wardrobe drawer did not work. The chrome towel rails and shower rails were going rusty. One bedroom TV didn't work and had no remote control. The remote for the other bedroom TV was temperamental because the contacts were corroded. One of the dining chairs surface was heavily scuffed. The 2 clocks didn't work. Only one set of 4 blinds to the front windows worked properly. There wasn't one set of matching plates, bowls, mugs etc. The place needs a proper clean and some upgrading. This would be a perfect apartment but it needs some investment.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exploring the island - Large well maintained apartments with great facilities Doors very creaky so difficult to move around in the night without waking others
- David (5/5): Great location and staff expensive for the condition of the apartment - Great location and very clean We had booked an apartment with 2 single beds in the second bedroom as the 2 users are in their mid 60s, we were given one with bunkbeds, apparently there had been a flood in that apartment, but we weren't informed in advance, The apartment was well decorated but tired considering it's star rating and price, for example, there are lots of windows in main lounge dinner, fantastic views to the sea, only one opened properly others didn't lock properly and were taped shut, very interesting the night we had a storm!!!!, The back of the sofa bed was broken, some damage to the kitchen, some light bulbs blown, the fittings in the main bathroom rusty, considering this apartment can sleep up to 8 people meaning the main bathroom would have 6 users the towel rail was tiny, no way you could dry all 6 towels. When advertised it was stated there was a restaurant in the basement of the apartments where you could get breakfast and evening meals, this was closed, initially for a cooker fault then the sign changed saying closed for refurbishment, but we saw no one working on it, again we weren't informed prior to arrival.
I don't normally like to be negative about places but feel it only fair, that based on the star rating, people should be aware of what they are paying for.
On a final positive note the staff we great and very helpful.
- Freda (9/5): Great views and location - Gorgeous lounge diner with fantastic views
Well equipped kitchen
Main bedroom good size with lots of storage
Location excellent Double bed could have been more comfortable
Pillow either too thick or lumpy
- Norman (9/5): Superb - Excellent accomodation, right on the sea front and handy for everything. Facilities very good. Nothing, everything was fine
- Brian (10/5): Excellent place to stay on this friendly island. - Met by the host who handed over the keys, explained the parking arrangements and told us of the local shops and restaurant. The apartment had every thing in the kitchen that a family could need. The presence of a PS4, whilst not used during our stay, could prove invaluable for children on a wet day! For those with mobility problems make sure that you inform the hosts when booking to get one of the lower apartments. As a reasonably fit set of visitors the climb to the top floor (50 steps) was OK but if you have mobility problems the climb could prove taxing or even impossible.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Excellent location and very spacious Tv in bedrooms - poor reception
- Clare (10/5): worth every pound - Sky channels extra quilt on the beds
- Jason (8/5): Very good - Excellent location . Close to all transport . Outstanding sea views over Douglas Bay. Large rooms and good equipped kitchen .
Friendly and helpful host .
- Michael (3/5): I love the I.O.M wish i could say better. - The location is very good and the view over the gardens also the sea front. all the kitchen items need changing the kettle had no filter and was dirty balck inside i did scrape it to clean but it needs changing if it was mine i would throw it away. also i put my hand into the draw to get a knife got the previous occupents chines on my hands in the drawer some bedding had stains, we I had one cold shower while being there my daughter said she managed to get one warm one but the water is cold. the tv they have is sky but you need a membership also for the games consol you need to be a member to put your number in to use.
i wish i could have give a good review and hope you sort these things out maybe charge a little more and replace the equipment more often or maybe charge a deposit for breakages then people will take more care. They do say if you have any problems contact them but there was just too many, sorry.
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Gillian (6/5): Generally a nice place but really needs some care and repair. - Spacious - well equipped kitchen Uncomfortable mattress, in need of numerous repairs. Rust in en-suite bathrooms, gaffa tape round one of the windows, dishwasher leaking, laminate peeling off cupboards. Found dirty used cooking oil in a cupboard.
- Fiona (6/5): Well located Douglas promenade apartments - Very convenient for the ferry and Lord st bus station. Shops & restaurants literally around the corner. Spacious apartment with sea view to the front. A few stairs up so not for the mobility challenged. Can be a little noisy to the rear. Decor is very dated and in need of some improvement.
- Michael (9/5): Lovely relaxing Island with plenty interesting places and beaches to visit. - The apartment had every amenity and every electrical appliance you could require. A washer/dryer meant I returned home with a suitcase of clean clothes.
The large bay window gave an excellent sea view and looked down on the promenade with its perfectly maintained floral gardens. Parking near the apartment while free, worked on a two hour disc system, between hours of 8.00am to 6.00pm, so parking overnight was fine but meant you had to drive away by 10.00am and finding a spot when you returned was sometimes difficult as very busy. Same system worked all over the Island so never paid for parking.
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely spacious home for my large family , beautiful views and great location with everything you need right on your doorstep , will definitely be returning.
- Sam (5/5): Passable - Apartment was lovely and big and host was really polite and professional great view of the sea and surrounding area Beds were not suitable for the price we paid ( over £1000 for Monday to Saturday)we expected better 4 adults (even though 2 were still really children 15&16 year old and a 15 month old and 2 other adults who wasn't a couples so couldn't sleep in same bed
only 1 double bed other was a bunk bed double on bottom single on top very uncomfortable and 15 year old struggled sleeping on top bunk
Couch bed in living room was like sleeping on springs so not suitable same as pull out guest bed so 15 month old ended up sleeping on mattress of pull out bed on the floor and other adult on couch
Requested ground floor or as low as possible with having the baby but was given top floor and loads of stairs to get up n down with baby
Couldn't work out how to use washer/dryer as was a combi not individual
Freezer tiny so couldn't get shopping to eat in
Food also left in fridge and rubbish in bin no we're to take out rubbish so had to leave it in apartment
Towels that were provided were all stained with makeup or something
Hot water went cold after 1 of us got a bath
Damp on top of living room wall
- Philip (8/5): Very good - The location for property to the ferry. The place was quiet and the apartment was spacious. The parking space situation in which you had move your after two hours from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday.
The parking issue needs to be explained more clearly to guests before they come to the property so they will know what to expect.
Some of the electrical equipment are old and needs upgrades.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (8/5): Overall a lovely stay.. would go again but wouldn’t drive if staying in this property. - Spacious & clean. Fantastic views out to sea! Probably the parking, as we had to move the car.
So didn’t totally relax…
