Guest Reviews
- Dongyoung (10/5): Clean, spacious terrace with a great view - Very clean with a great view from the terrace. Would highly recommend Leonardo’s B&B. None
- Noa (10/5): -
- Scott (10/5): - The food and views were amazing.
- Laura (8/5): -
- Silvia (6/5): Bellissimo - Accogliente staff simpatico Che la camera non è stata riordinata tutti i giorni
- Mihailo (8/5): - Overall this was a good option to stay near the Amalfi coast. It is more reasonable price wise than the options on the coast. My complaint is I wish the front desk was better staffed which would enable a quicker and more punctual check-in/check-out experience. The room was decently clean, with a great view! The whole property and surrounding area has incredible scenery, fresh air and a relaxed feel. Unfortunately the bed coverings do not offer much comfort and feel scratchy at times which is a downside.
- Ady (8/5): Posizione e cibo buoni - Io cibo Terrazza sporca, parcheggio inventato
- ANTONINO (9/5): - Camera confortevole, terrazzino con vista fantastico. Ottimo ristorante. Posizione con una bellissima vista della Costa Amalfitana. A pochi metri servizio autobus. Vista l' altura si sta bene nei periodi caldi.

- helena-alexandra (9/5): It was very nice to stay there - The house was positionated very good with a nice view to the sea and very close to shops and transportation facilities
- Barrasso (9/5): -
- Luke (10/5): - Fantastic place to stay. The owner was very helpful and great to us!
- Michael (10/5): - I loved the little town of Agerola! The staff was very friendly and made everything easy. I enjoyed my time.
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional - We had a wonderful stay! The highlight was definitely the balcony and the restaurant with a stunning sea view. The location is peaceful, yet close enough to everything we needed. The room was clean, comfortable, and the food in the restaurat was amazing! Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a scenic and relaxing escape by the sea!
- Aydan (10/5): Exceptional - What an incredible place! The rooms, restaurant and the magnificent view! I liked their hospitality a lot. The meals are great there. We traveled all over Italy but didn't find a better pizzas than Leonardo's B&B. Looking forward to come again next year. Thanks to Vincenzo and his sweet mother ❤️
- Simon (8/5): Amazing view and price, could do with modernising. - Beautiful location, the view from the room balcony and the restaurant are incredible. Very dated, we had a sea view room which could have done with a complete renovation. It appears that all the other rooms have been renovated.
- Joy (8/5): Very good - Lovely, spacious and cosy room. balcony with a terrific view over the coast. Noisy neighbours arriving very late at night
- Sneha (10/5): - The hotel itself is very nice. The view is amazing so make sure to get a room facing the ocean. For some reason their wall plugs didn’t support our hair dryer or steamer but everything else was fine.
- Goran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yulia (8/5): Great value for money, plumbing could use some work - Wonderful location, beautiful views from the terrace, super comfy beds, AC, coffee / tea in the room and quiet surroundings. The shower drain was completely plugged with other guests' hair so that the water would not drain, my husband had to take it apart and pull a bunch of nasty gunk out. I would suggest the hotel staff to keep an eye on that more often.
Upon checking out, I also completely forgot to pay the tourist tax (not maliciously, but simply because noone asked about it and there wasn't anyone to check us out) - just before leaving the owner of the place reminded us about it and very visibly rolled his eyes when I mentioned that I forgot - I did not appreciate that and it was rather rude of him.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Kan beter!
- Maggie (10/5): - Leonardos was very clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent. Enzo was the best. Could not have asked for better server. Other servers were great too. Will definitely come again and highly recommend anyone to this great B&B.
- Sinopoli (10/5): Exceptional - location panoramica
- Sushant (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pattaraporn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamín (8/5): Great place with amazing views. Restaurant staff could improve a bit. - Very nice place, very quiet with exceptional views and landscapes. Restaurant pizzas are delicious. Only Enzo (owner of the B&B) speaks English, so when you are sitting in the restaurant, it is a little difficult to communicate with the staff. In addition, in the restaurant they are a little selfish, we were eating bread with olive oil and they took the bottle saying that they needed another table (it was a lie, because they transferred it to a staff table, haha)
- Adrian (8/5): Very good -
- Ali (8/5): Very good -
- Hilal (8/5): Good for a short stay if you have a car - - The view
- Supermarket, coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel
- the Hotel have a restaurant which is known and many people attend to it. - Difficult to find parking
- Tax fee is mentioned in the reservation to be 1.5€ per person per night so it should be 6€ per couple for the 2 nights, but the host decided that it has to be 12€ in cash with no invoice.
- acoustic of the room is so bad, you can hear all the discussions from the adjacent rooms.
- driving from Amalfi is around 40 minutes.
- Jessica (10/5): We had such a great stay. Breathtaking views and - We loved everything about the property from the views, room, restaurant, food, service and location. Enzo and staff were amazing. Really amazing food.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful, wonderful views.
We had dinner here for three nights, which was superb. Breakfast basic but adequate.
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Delia (9/5): Superb -
- Vinay (7/5): Good - The place is good have a nice view, the room size is decent. There is a nice view on the balcony of the stay. Can be little more hygiene and the host did not provide breakfast when asked.
- Danielle (6/5): Okay for price - Local location, sea views, close to town. Mould in bathroom
- Dora (10/5): Loved it! :) - Amazing location, beautiful view of the sea from our room! It is a truly romantic place to visit Nothing
- David (10/5): Enjoyable comfortable stay - We enjoyed our stay at Leonardo’s. It was in a lovely setting on the Amalfi coast, and we requested a room with a sea view. They did not offer breakfast when we were there, but there were a couple of cafes up the road serving coffee and pastries. Parking was very limited but we were able to find a space outside in the road. Our room was comfortable although the shower was quite small. They entertained two big parties downstairs whilst we were there but they didn’t disturb us at all.
- Melis (8/5): Very cute and economical - clean and quiet, peaceful environment, close to the market, hospitable people It's a little cold because it's on the slopes of the mountain.
- Baiba (9/5): Great and relaxing! - Great location if you travel by car, very kind owner who also owns the restaurant. Nice restaurant, tasty food and pleasant prices. Very quiet, relaxing place with a beautiful view from the terrace!
- Horianna (8/5): Patient, waiting is normal in all vacations places. - The locación is perfect if you want to have a trip low cost. You have the facility of the buses to go to Amalfi or Napoli. view was amazing, we had a dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The garden was perfect! In the night we were sitting under the stars and listening the jazz music from the restaurant. Was a perfect combination. We were not so happy about not having the breakfast included. Italian Breakfast is so famous that don’t have it was sad. I would change from Bed & Breakfast to Motel or Hostel. Is very confusing.
- Jana (9/5): Superb - The beautiful seaview, the host was very nice and helpfull Nothing, we were satisfied.
- Andrea (7/5): A cheap place to stay, rooms need an update - Beautiful location The rooms need an update
- Blessilda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (9/5): Enzo is seriously the nicest guy you will meet. He helped us out tremendously while we were there. The restaurant is als - The host and the location The furniture in the room
- Marcel (7/5): Fair - Location Smallest shower I have ever seen
- Melanie (10/5): Thankyou for the stay! - Great place. Very friendly and caring staff always happy to help and welcoming. Great restaurant and food. Would recommend.
- Fatma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Adil (10/5): Amazing!!! Will definitely visit again. - The place is perfect. 1 minute walk from the bus station in a nice peaceful location. There are nice cafes close by and the restaurant in the hotel is simply amazing. If anyone wants to visit Amalfi I would recommend staying here since Amalfi is accessible through bus and this is much more cleaner and peaceful.
- Žan (10/5): It was a pleasure staying at Leonardo’s. - For me the place is amazing, the view is really special, rooms are fairly equiped with all neccesities and I loved the artifical grass on the balcony. The staff were super nice to us, Leonardo especially. Provided us with everything we needed. Food at the restaurant is truly as the sign says at the front: “The best in town”. Just to be sure, restaurant is highly popular, so if you want to have a dinner there make sure to make reservation earlier, if not there is a chance you won’t get a table. And a notice to everyone who intends to stay there, DON’T sleep with the open balcony, or you’ll be dealing with these annoying papatacci moquitos.
- Jeison (7/5): I like the place - Staff vas kind, location is perfect, amazing views even though if you want a better views book a room with balcony facing the sea other wise you will have to see the water in common areas. Internet doesn’t work but I’m not sure if that is because of the location of this place because no even móvil internet works there,( if need internet just go get conexión downstairs) but the experience unplugged isn’t bad
- Johannesen (1/5): It's like being in an episode of the old British BBC sitcom "Fawlty Towers" - The only thing that works at Leonardo’s is the air conditioning in the rooms. Anything else is completely unacceptable. Our room reminded me of something I encountered when I was a young backpacker staying in hostels in the East. In several places in the room the wallpaper was hanging loose, and there was a large spot of mold on the wall near the bathroom. The bed was hard as rock, and the furniture has 40 years behind it. The toilet seat had never been replaced, so it had a yellowish urine color around the edge. I'm athletic and 186 cm tall, but the shower cubicle was so narrow that I couldn't fit in it if I closed it. At the same time a wide shelf was installed at a height of 165 cm, so it really made taking a shower a challenge for a person of my size and height. The walls are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING the neighbor does when the person is in the bathroom. Leonardo’s writes on booking.com that there is wi-fi, but it just doesn't work. Neither in the rooms nor elsewhere. In addition, there are different wi-fi with different codes that you have to log on to, depending on whether you are in your room, in the restaurant or on the terrace. I tried logging in all three for fun and none of them worked. After we checked in, saw our room, and realized that it was more like a tacky hostel for young backpackers on a budget holiday than a B&B for "adults" I went into the restaurant to reserve a table with one of the waiters. Much to my surprise I was told that I could not reserve a table. Tables were given after a first-served basis because it was Saturday night and there were many guests. Although I explained to the waiter that I was actually an overnight guest, I could not make a reservation. We had booked and paid for two nights at Leonardos, but after a bad night's sleep in a miserable bed we chose to check out in the morning to find another place to stay the next night.
- Soph_12 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Great value for money. Amazing views. - The amazing view and the little village. And of course the price. And the food we ate at their restaurant. Really really good. The owners/employees not the friendliest ones.
The whole B&B looks like the time stood still, very old fashioned, outdated furniture, but that doesn’t affect the comfort.
The entrance door to our room looked like someone tried to force his way through and we had difficulties in properly closing it.
- Lucy (7/5): Good -
- Shashank (8/5): Very good -
- Nikita (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doni (10/5): Dream romantic stay at Leonardo's - Agerola San Lazzaro - 💟 At Leonardo's I liked everything! The atmosphere, the place, the view, ☕ the cappuccino and tea made by Vincenzo... It's the place that stole my heart from the first sight! 💜 The view is the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life! The food, the atmosphere in the restaurant, the breakfast - everything was great, but the most remarkable thing was hospitality, simpathy and humanity of our host - Vincenzo! When we arrived late at night, he helped us with luggage and then made for us a kettle of great tea, prepared on a small plate for my room! Great gesture! On the other day i had a great cappuccino on the terrace with view of the whole Amalfi coast! 🌺
The room was also great - comfortable and clean. The dinned at the restaurant exceeded our expectations - we took sea food, arancini and a bottle of frizzante wine! The final of our dinned were two shots of limoncello!
On our last day Enzo explained to us all the information we needed for our travelling! The place is near to the bus station, near to Positano and Amalfi, near to coffee shops, tourist information center, souvenir shops and everything you may need.
Thank you, Vincenzo, I felt like home! I will come back, I promise! ❤️ The time was not enough!
- Marcos (10/5): - Amazing room with sea view. Great restaurant on location. Very helpful owner. Exceeded expectations
- Breschi (7/5): Good stay, BUT mind the wrong description of the distance to the coast - the room with terrace was amazing, the view on the sea fantastic. very comfortable bed and the restaurant is a gem with very polite staff we chose the property as on booking it was indicated only 10 minutes driving from Conca dei Marini. when about to arrive I checked the maps and I realized the same way would take over 40 min driving. I called them and I got told that there was a quick road that took only 10 minutes but that road never existed. the only way to get to the location is through a long way up, no less than 40 min by car and even more by bus. when reporting the issue to the staff I got told “if you drive fast you can make it in 10 minutes” and that was incredible to hear…
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect in Agerola. Beautiful view to the sea and a very good restaurant.
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Artūrs (9/5): Superb -
- Josephine- (8/5): A good stay - Having the restaurant available was a bonus and the food was very good. This property is priced accordingly and was as we expected for the money we paid. Would have liked not to have had a bunk bed when we had booked a twin room although if the weather had been better we may have appreciated the balcony attached. Shower very small and I wonder how bigger people/gents would manage
- Parag (9/5): Superb -
- Iris (10/5): Exceptional - great view, very good restaurant! small room
- Jumpernyc (6/5): quite nice hotel with grumpy owner. we - obviously - won't come back. - the house has the vibes from a time gone by. the views are good but you cant see the coastline, just the open water as there is a roof below the balcony, obstructing the best part of the view. we could have lived with the limited view IF the owner would have been nicer and more accommodating. After we initially did not choose to eat at his restaurant on Sunday evening - BECAUSE DINNER IS SERVED IN THE LUNCH ROOM WITHOUT WINDOWS AND NO VIEWS - starting well before sunset, btw - he was very sarcastic towards us.
But we booked this hotel BECAUSE of the views from the restaurant and thought it would be great to have breakfast and dinner there, and enjoy the vistas! But NO, that's not what the owner wants!
Breakfast for him is just a matter of inconvenience he needs to get over with (and so should you), so he places his guests right next to the kitchen door, his shortest distance. So I thought, ok well, let me ask him if it was possible at all to have breakfast in the beautiful, lower lunch room with a view, or on the terrace you see in the pictures (where he instead shows off his - nice - Piaggo classic car).
Ayway, our request for a seat with a view was declined, breakfast we were told, was to be eaten in the upper dining room, with no windows, while he was already sitting there blasting the TV and talking loudly to his buddies.
Breakfast itself is, as he told us "typical Italian" which he seems to think means some slices of stale bread, 2 plastic wrapped cornettos and a choice of coffee as well as jam and butter in a package, joghurt, plus supersweet pineapple nectar which he pours you without asking if you want it. No fruits, no fresh tomatoes, no cheese, no ham, no eggs, no müsli, no cereal, no milk and not even water.
All this pictures you see of the people eating nice food with a view are taken at SUNDAY LUNCH, which apparently is his claim to fame. And Lunch is only on the weekends - if you seriously think of having lunch here while all of Amalfi is below you, a 45min drive away.
On the good side, this town has some really excellent restaurants which are open all week - and they are very happy to seat you anywhere you like ;-)
- Francesco (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Loved your dining room, the views, and the hosts were really helpful and pleasant. - Breakfast was perfect for us, but 2 companions were hoping for some cereal and fruit. We could not find a nearby laundry facility to wash clothes as our trip was long.
- Sadry (10/5): Exceptional - The sea view was amazing and the staff way too polite. The food they serve is the best in the area. They also have free parking and the place is close to every seaside resort by car.
- Sabine (10/5): - Herzliches familiäres Ambiente, excellente Speisen!
- Torja (8/5): Very good -
- Manpreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not go again - Room was unclean and needs renovation (pictures are not truthfull at all). Also the host didn’t find my reservation and seemed angry when we arrived since he told he had saved the room for someone else. The shower was the tiniest (50x50 cm?) and the bed and pillows were very hard and uncomfotable. ”Breakfast” was served to tables and when I was asked what I wanted to drink the host didn’t seem to listen and brought the opposite for what I said. Even though the booking was last minute and we didn’t expect much the basic standards were not met. We had booked two nights but stayed only one. Plus for AC that worked.
- Wolfgang (8/5): - Topaussicht, sehr gute Küche, ruhige Lage
- Francesco (10/5): - Ottimo il personale,
Alcuni dettagli potrebbero essere migliorati, tipo le doccie
- paula (10/5): 4 night of romance - Amazing views. Amazing service. Fantastic food at reasonable prices.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a really lovely stay at Leonardo's...
Enzo the owner is very friendly and welcoming, and we ate twice in the restaurant - both times the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced.
There are some lovely sea views, both from our balcony and from the restaurant itself.
The only reason I haven't said 5 stars is that (a) the walls are quite thin; we could hear the people next door and a party took place downstairs one evening which was very loud and kept us awake..... and (b) the breakfast wasn't great; you don't get any choice of what you have, and it wasn't to our taste.
However these things do not stop me from recommending this lovely hotel.
Agerola isn't anything special in itself but Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii and many other great places are all an easy drive and this is a great central location to explore from.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great service and amazing food! The owner is very hardworking to meet all needs and staff goes above and beyond. Charming relaxing spot away from tourists.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best service I’ve ever had. The owner works hard and caters to whatever you need above and beyond. Lovely hospitable free continental breakfast with the best cappuccinos. I will be back! You don’t really need AC because you can have the windows open. But if you do they will turn it on. The air is fresh. If you have issues sleeping in a bed different from your own I recommend bringing a mattress pad for a little extra comfort.
- PHILIP (6/5): One to miss - Not a good place to stay. its closing on the 1st Jan for one year for refurb and it needs it
- Chris (6/5): Decent place spoiled by 'angry' management - Got off to a bad start with a slow check in and and then an angry manager who was annoyed that I was was chasing up the check in (I asked two staff members for assistance before he turned up after we stood around for the 10 to 15 minutes). Manager clearly trying to do too much, not my problem if they can't delegate work. This soured the visit to be honest. We did have dinner at the restaurant though and the food was good. Breakfast also fine, as was the room. Nice location, liked the town.
- Kimric (8/5): Little gem high up the mountain. - This hotel/B&B is a gem.
Check in was smooth although there were no staff to acknowledge our arrival at first. Owner was very nice, welcoming and brought us to our room.
Room is clean but a little small for a family but made up for it having a balcony area which looks out onto the sea. Shower cubicle is tiny.
Beds were comfortable and clean. Although we did not have control of our room aircon and it was switched off around 1-2am which made it quite warm in the room.
Breakfast was included in the price and composed of breads/pastries, yoghurts, juices and coffee/tea. Granny that served us was very warm and funny.
Hotel had a restaurant that is popular in their area. Food was good and decently priced. Location of the hotel is a quiet little town which over looks the sea high up the mountain side. Hotel location is under 1hr drive to Amalfi.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Agerola - Great location and Leonardo's is perched overlooking the coast and the view from our room and the restaurant is perfect - blue sea and the Amalfi coast stretching away left and right below
- toby (8/5): Friendly introduction to the Amalfi coast - Leonardo’s was a great place stay-simple but very friendly. The owners couldn&5 be more helpful or accommodating and the room whilst basic was clean and well maintained. Stunning views!
- Alessandra (10/5): Good base to explore the Amalfi Coast - We had a wonderful stay at Leonardo’s B&B. The accommodations were very nice and the sea view room was exactly as advertised online, offering a little glimpse of the Amalfi Coast. Vincenzo and Michela are wonderful hosts, they were very attentive to our needs. We had also a delicious dinner at the B&B restaurant, high quality Italian food at an affordable price. We would highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay and we would definitely like to visit them again soon! If you are tired of driving, you can catch a local bus (just 2 mins from the B&B) to various locations within the Amalfi Coast which is quite convenient during the busy season!
- Sevgi (8/5): Clean, friendly, nice family run hotel - Very nice family run hotel. Friendly and always available if help needed. Old decor but very clean. Only downsides are very small shower but very small and breakfast very simple.
