- Anne (5/5): Bel emplacement, dommage que le responsable soit si peu accueillant - La localisation, les chambres bien équipées, les salles de bains partagées sont propres L’équipement de la cuisine était vétuste et dangereux (poêles hors d’usage, four également et micro-ondes rouillé). Le propriétaire peu accueillant, intrusif et donnant l’impression d’être sous surveillance en permanence… pourtant nous étions respectueux et calmés. Consignes rigides ( si votre avion est en retard le soir pas de possibilité d’arrangement pour l’arrivée tardive). Aucun partage et échange pour profiter pleinement de ce beau séjour. Attitude inappropriée pour l’accueil de touristes dommage !!!!

- Oscar Mauricio (5/5): Estancia agridulce 🫤 - Se encuentra en una zona residencial lo cual valoro positivamente por tranquilidad y cultura En general correcto teniendo en cuenta la relación calidad precio, lo único decepcionante y suficientemente negativo como para no repetir ni recomendarlo es la política del check in muy inflexible y poco humana. Se nos canceló el vuelo, algo común en Madeira por condiciones metereológicas, entonces solicitamos poder hacer el check in antes ya que llegaríamos a la madrugada y puedo entender que en la madrugada en algunos alojamientos no haya nadie que nos reciba pero es que ni siquiera nos permitieron llegar por la mañana, que luego nos enteramos que a partir de las 10am ya había personal, con lo cual tuvimos que dormir en el coche en un país y ciudad y barrio desconocido y después de haber estado todo el día en el aeropuerto de Lisboa, finalmente tuvimos que esperar hasta la 14h hora oficial del check in.

Bathroom and bedroom are spacious and clean, didn’t hear too much noise at night and it offers a beautiful sunrise view!!! I couldn’t find a cutting board or baking tray but that’s minor!
- martinvelikov (9/5): - The location is great - 10-15 mins walking from Funchal downtown and the climbing to the property is manageable. The room was spacious and comfortable. There is a common patio with seaview. The most impressive thing is the cleanliness! Everything was SPARKLING CLEAN! Basically excellent value for money! The windows of the Red and the Blue rooms (I don't know about the other rooms) are facing the common areas where everyone passes and you can be seen from other guests.

- Ksusha (1/5): If you don't want to pay more your reservation (I payed 100€) don't come to this hotel!!! - So sad that this good place has such a manager or owner, I don’t know who he is - Marcello. Which ruined my vacation, made me very stressed for 2 days and extorted of extra money for already paid booking-100€. 2 days (!) before check-in, I wrote that my plane was come later and I would be at hotel at 12 p.m. to which he rudely told me that if I don’t check in that day before 22:00, then I will never check in and my reservation and money will be burned. I don’t know why this is, Booking doesn’t know, but the accommodation was paid for by me. Ok, if check-in is before 22:00, I was ready to spend the night at the airport (why I should do this is I don't understand) and come in the next day, since housing was paid for 6 days. But he said that the next day I would not move in. Without listening to anything. I must to give + 100€ to stay there... I was in such shock and stress that my vacation was ruined. It's a shame because the place is clean and the location is good, but... I don't recommend anyone to experience this, so don't risk it, don't book here
- Krzysztof (10/5): - Byliśmy jedną noc po przylocie. Dosyć blisko centrum Funchal także z autobusu z lotniska można z plecakiem spokojnie dojść pieszo. Jest też dosłownie pod bramą przystanek autobusowy lini 22, którym też dojedziemy bezpośrednio do Monte Palace z czego skorzystaliśmy rano, nie było problemu zostawić plecaki na recepcji. Przyjmująca nas dziewczyna bardzo pomocna, wytłumaczyła nam wszystko o co pytaliśmy i dała kilka rekomendacji. Miejsce bardzo fajne. Kuchnia wyposażona, taras z widokiem, w mieście ale spokojnie. Polecamy.

Due to weather conditions, our flight was postponed for two days, but the accommodation did not support us in resolving this issue. Therefore, we have to consider this a negative experience in terms of communication with guests. It is very unfortunate that the property does not seem interested in receiving positive reviews :(

- Sarah-Maria (6/5): Für ein Hostel okay, würde aber nicht erneut hin - Das Mädchen an der Rezeption war sehr nett, wir hatten gute Gespräche und sie gab mir wunderbare Empfehlungen für Funchal :) sie alleine verdient eine 10/10-Bewertung Mein Bett war schmutzig, nicht die Bettwäsche oder das Kissen, sondern zwischen Matratze und Bettgestell die Spalte...also auf dem Lattenrost, da lag so viel Staub, kleine Haare und einfach Dreck, das war richtig eklig...will nicht wissen wie die Matratze ausgesehen haben muss oder die Kissen innen drin... Zudem ist die Unterkunft sehr hellhörig, man kriegt wirklich alles mit, sowohl aus den anderen Zimmern, als auch aus dem Bad, Dinge die man nicht hören möchte... Noch zur Parkplatz-Situation, ich hatte ein Leih-Auto und echt Schwierigkeiten mit dem Parken, hab mich dann einfach ganz frech bei den Nachbarn auf den Parkplatz gestellt, denn einfach so auf dem Bordstein war mir viel zu riskant, da dort direkt eine Polizeistelle ist. Also mein Fazit: 2 Nächte sind schon irgendwie machbar, für den Preis passt das als Notlösung.

Upon arrival, however, we were immediately told to leave the entrance as soon as possible so as not to “annoy the neighbours” and to find street parking on our own. There were no actual parking spots provided despite the listing’s claims. While the price was relatively cheap and the facilities were clean, the bathrooms were shared, and the misleading parking information was a major inconvenience. Overall, the listing did not match what was advertised.

- Emma (5/5): The stay is in line with the cost. You get what you pay for, but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to stay here. - The staff were really lovely. The lack of soundproofing was not ideal. A good night’s sleep relies on other conscientious guests to be quiet, and they mostly were not. I only slept properly one night, but I have to say it’s difficult to stay quiet going in and out of the rooms with the keys/key chain provided, while locking/unlocking doors. The room I stayed in had a strange smell to it. I kept the window open as much as possible but it was winter time so got cold overnight. I used 4 layers of blankets to keep warm overnight, but 2 of them from the wardrobe in the room were stained so I doubt they were cleaned after their last use.
