- Candice (10/5): - You get what you pay for, its a typical motel in oc. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It's an older motel, but it was still clean, they have a pool. The beach is very close. I was able to get beautiful sunrise and sunset pictures. If we wanted to go to the boardwalk, we just caught the bus. Stayed for 5 nights and was pleased
- Sierra (8/5): - Everything was good at the property only issue we had was the back burner in our room didn't work and the vending kept taking our money. First time it happened the night guy helped us and got a soda for us and 2 time they said they couldn't do anything but it was fine we managed without. But over all the staff was friendly and it was clean. We loved that the beach was so close. We had a great time!!!

- Erin (6/5): Not horrible but not great. Could use some updates - Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was ok. Walls are very thin, door did not shut tightly so there was a gap which meant you had a lot of noise from outside. Air conditioning was set at 64 but never dropped below 74. Kind of warm. The kitchen had a broken cabinet and the stove burners were dirty from previous guests. The pool was rather cloudy and always had bugs and feathers floating in it. As far as pricing for the area this was on the less expensive side but still higher than what it should’ve been in my opinion. The walk to the beach is short so that is a plus.

Parking lot is congested Cant turn vehicle around when parking lot is full. Had to wait long time for somebody to remove their vehicle before i could go out. Was a messy

The two employees at the desk, specifically the female, were extremely rude and condescending at check in. Only good thing was location: close to many good restaurants. The beds are not comfy and terrible for the price being charged for the rooms. I shouldn’t be able to see daylight through the door jam when the door is closed. Shouldn’t be able to hear other rooms conversations through the walls and ceiling.

I was afraid to get under the linens. When we arrived in the room had to engage in a war with flies. Within 30 mns we had killed at least 10…

- PAMELA (10/5): Highly Recommend!!! - This is the best Vacation!! The hotel was perfect, clean, employees were very kind!! A 2 minute walk to the beach. Pool, clean and well maintained. I wish I could stay longer!! Highly recommend this hotel. Very affordable compared to most other hotels near here! Can't wait to come back!!

- Lawrence (6/5): - Let me preface this by saying this is not the worst place I've stayed in Ocean City. Only based on my room there is much work that needs to be done. Let's start with the cons. Property lists free wi-fi. Not only could I not connect to wifi, Surf Inn's network never appeared on my list of available networks. I did bring this to the attention to the front desk staff and all he could offer was to tell me to turn my laptop off and on. Needless to say I was disconnected all weekend. Other issues include only one of the burners on the 2 burner stove worked, the exhaust fan in the bathroom is actually hanging down from the ceiling and also inoperable, the toilet apparently is not connected to the flange tightly because it moves quite a bit when you go to sit down. The carafe for the coffee maker isn't the correct one and doesn't fit properly in the coffee maker. Place has an issue with these small gnat like flies. I'd swat a couple and more just seemed to pop up out of nowhere. On the plus side. The young man at the front desk is very friendly and courteous. The room is very spacious. This is an older motel and I bet in its hey day this was a place people flocked to. It's off season so pool was closed but the pool area looked very nice. It's only a short walk to the beach and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. I really believe with a little TLC this place could be a real gem again. I give it 3/5 stars. The price was reasonable, I'd give it another chance.

- James (4/5): - The first set of stairs going up the side of the hotel, by the office has a hump at the top which can be a tripping hazard for people. Big thing here though- people were screaming and yelling having parties at 3am when trying to sleep with no staff or anyone there to tell them to shut up so people can get up the next morning to drive home. If it kept going cops wouldve been called.
- Carrie (6/5): - It’s very old so it has all the usual things that come along with being that old- mildew in the corners, smells of mold, toilet wiggles. 70’s decor w/no blankets just the bedspread which is thin, coffee pot has a glass carafe with no top but we used it anyway. The price was right for a last minute trip and we’re adventurous. It’s right by the ocean which is nice. Plenty places to eat in walking distance, plenty of parking, bus picks up out front. The staff was absolutely the best part- kind, helpful, funny & friendly.

- steven (8/5): - Have realistic Expectations - This isn't a 4/5 star hotel, but it was clean and everything in the room worked. Full Size Beds were just that but were two of them and they were comfortable. WiFi signal strength was a little weak. The 3rd floor was a hike up the steps but we knew that going in so can't realy complain. The walk to the beach was not bad. Little disappointed about having to pay for parking but again when you compare overall cost it was still a value. If you are looking to stay someplace safe with a mid-range cost the Surf Inn is a good option.

The place is pretty nice but old. the staff is very friendly specially the Jamaican receptionist, I didn’t get his name but he is very welcoming. There’s one thing i can complain is the there is a person sit on the front of our door knock out all our clothes hanging and left a half full bear on the chair and spill it to our clothes. Other than that this place is amazing.

- Carly (8/5): - We have come here for ten years.love the location. This is not a 5 star hotel, but it is great for families who need space. The pool is clean and well maintained. It needs to be sanded down though as the bottom will scratch your feet. The staff and room cleaners are kind and helpful. The rooms are budget. Mattresses should probably be replaced. Towels are clean but stained. One of ours still had a walmart tag on it, so they tried. We love this place for the size of the room, location and kitchenette. If you are laid back, looking for value and fun, this is your place.

The sockets were loose and worn so charging our phones was impossible. The kitchen was not clean. If i didnt come with bleach amd lydol i would have never stayed but for 1 night we made it work.

We brought our own. The pool could use some proper maintenance. Being close to the beach was great! Would i stay there again? Probably, it wasn't that bad. We've stayed in worse.

However it was a very convenient 30 second walk from the beach, and the kitchen and full fridge and freezer were nice. In a solid area around OC too. I would recommend only for a night or 2.

- Lauren (2/5): - Staff was inconsistent and inconsiderate. The room was in very poor condition and check in was a nightmare. They said they were watching the security cameras as people entered and exited the rooms, and if a guest who was not spending the night entered, there would be a fine. Also, the walls and doors were paper thin, offering zero privacy. My security deposit was $200 and the next guest’s was $100. We asked to speak to a manager and were blown off, as they said “they were on vacation and would not help us.” They also made a deal where if we had seven guests in a room that slept six, they would be allowed to spend the night on the porch, which is a stairwell next to a security camera. Sleeping in a jail cell would be more relaxing.

The only good thing about this hotel is the staff is super friendly, the beds are comfortable, and a good location. There was storm on of the nights and the door flew open at 2:30am even though it was locked (so we thought ). Overall, will not stay again.

The pic of the pool was very deceiving. Way smaller then the pic looked. People running across the floor at 1am in the room above us. Wont stay there again.
