Guest Reviews
- Kenny (2/5): Faulty towers - Manage booked us in a face that would make an onion cry not a good greeting. All she seemed to be interested in was extra money for the dog £10on top of £95 which the room was not worth it cracked tiles in bathroom .. room was like from the 70s needs some money on it if people are paying that kind of money. Go down to the 2 pubs down the road happy staff and good food also the rooms are cheaper.. Highly recommended the pubs
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great welcome and stunning location. Made the dog welcome too. We will be back.
- Jason (8/5): Low Wood very good - Friendly, clean with good breakfast. Excellent views and scenery.

- Richard (8/5): very nice and good location - very nice and good location
- Jane (8/5): Nice hotel with lovely view - The hotel is quaint with Victorian floor tiles and lovely view. Food average but ok. Unfortunately no fruit available at breakfast. I found the mattress way too hard but my travelling companions were ok with this. Staff very helpful.
- Amanda (8/5): Very friendly and helpful staff - Needed a hotel close to Scarfell Pike and this little gem was a great find.
Staff really helpful and friendly. Bedroom large with nice ensuite. Both very clean. View out of bedroom not the best but other rooms did have good views across the mountains. It didn’t, however, detract from our stay.
We ate in the restaurant and found the food to be very tasty and the Malbec lovely. Breakfast, although not the biggest selection, was served well and staff were happy to accommodate off menu requests. Definitely set us up for a day in the mountains.
This is a two star that should maybe be three. Lots to recommend it, we would definitely go back.
The village is also blessed with two other inns, one with its own brewery and within strolling distance of the hotel
- david (6/5): - Good Location, Food Good, Comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fantastic location, well kept gardens would definitely stay there again.
- Adam (6/5): If basic is what your after 👍 - Don’t expect the ritz. Nether wasdale is a great little place, just a shame about the low wood hall hotel, it oozes potential with great views. However it is basic, very basic. Breakfast in the lakes is normally a great affair however I wouldn’t even waste my time here, even it is is free.
- Mary (8/5): - Lovely hotel, excellent views, comfy beds. Perfect after a long hike up the mountains.
Breakfast was plentiful and the staff very pleasant and welcoming.
- AMarie (10/5): Easy place to stay - Great place just what we needed. Friendly staff. Would visit again.
- Bruce (10/5): Beautiful location - Very comfortable stay. Staff friendly and helpful.
- Steven (10/5): Low Wood = Beautiful - Lovely hotel with fantastic views. Friendly staff.
