Guest Reviews
- Pulham (7/5): -
- Duncan (6/5): Budget accommodation in the centre of Tring. - The location is good, effectively at the top of Tring High Street. The host and colleagues in the adjoining pub were very friendly and hospitable.
Accommodation (this on a cycling trip) is not plentiful in Tring and much of it is expensive, so Wellbrook Rooms is a reasonable budget offering. The twin room was a decent size with decent facilities in terms of storage space, bedside tables, tea/coffee etc, and quite comfortable. The shared bathroom was okay with shampoo and towels etc provided.
The cafe just around the corner for breakfast was excellent. I think the website could be clearer on what a guest is actually getting and be clear that there is a shared bathroom unless you are booking both bedrooms in the house.
- Hazel (8/5): Very comfortable and pleasant - One window n the room wouldn’t shut properly
The parking space allotted to the property was occupied even though I was the only person there
- George (9/5): - In the centre.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Ian (8/5): -
- Shane (9/5): Good - Location and parking easy
- Tracey (9/5): - Clean
- Beverley (5/5): Just about passable - Location Very dirty
Low water pressure
- Ryan (5/5): If you're not overly fussy and want to stay in the centre of Tring, you couldn't go far wrong. - Well located if you want to be in the centre of Tring, and the pub is a stone's throw away.
Bonus of meeting by a very friendly and talkative Tom cat. The downstairs room where I stayed had an odd smell to it, I got used to it.
If my wife had been with me though, we probably would have stayed somewhere else.
The room could do with some redecorating to make it like the one upstairs.
- Robert (8/5): -
- Itomin (10/5): - Good Comfortable
- Thomas (7/5): Cozy and comfy place to stay if visiting tring. 4/5 stars - The room itself was nice, and the beds comfy. I do wish the tv was slightly bigger and better quality as me and my girlfriend found it hard to really enjoy anything on it as it was pixilated and very small. The location was also good being near public transport, major shops and a great pub. plus we had a feline friend greet us every morning outside lol. I will be honest the bathroom was not so great. I had to clean the bath before using it as it was dirty and the toilet was blocked, I honestly do not know when the last people checked out so I will give the benefit of the doubt on that as i know some people can treat BnBs like they are nothing. the bathroom door would sometimes swell up causing issues with it closing. It also would have been nice to have somewhere to wash and dry cloths. this was not a big issue for us as we were only there 2 nights but if it was a week or more somewhere to at easily wash and dry cloths would be nice. some clearer check in and check out instructions would also be good to see sent an hour odd before the arrival time along with more specific directions to the house itself from the public foot path. we also struggled to store much in the fridge but again not a big deal as Tesco was a 5 minute walk up the road.
- Fare (8/5): Pleasant, well situated for visiting my Family - Good location Nothing
- Christine (9/5): - Clean, quiet, good value and excellent location
- DINES (7/5): Convenient location for the purpose we came - It was need and tidy Sharing the bathroom and no mirror in the room
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Chloe (2/5): Grimy - Convenient location. The room had obviously not been cleaned well: sticky stain on the bedside table, full bin, dirty cutlery. The WiFi was not working, nor the TV.
I had to ask for the room to be cleaned and the WiFi to be fixed which was met with some attitude but was done.
I would absolutely not stay again.

- dawn (9/5): Suited our needs perfectly - Location, cost.
- Carol (7/5): A room at Wellbrook - The room was clean, containd a small fridge, cutlery, kettle, tea coffee and milk, it had a small table with chairs. Towels were provided. The bed needs replacing as it was very uncomfortable, and is not good for anyone with a back issues.
- Tracie (8/5): We were completing The Ridgeway walk so property was in excellent location , next to pub. - Keys were collected from Robin Hood pub at the front of the property
- Grovell (10/5): Family - It was nice and clean and very near to my family Short
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (8/5): - Cutlery althogh not used- dirty, bed horrible- no sleep
- Patricia (7/5): Ok - The beds were good. The room was small because of the huge (mostly) unused cupboard.
- Susan (8/5): Good value - Location for Ridgeway, fridge in room, near memorial park for dog visits, some kitchen ware for our supper Shared bathroom that was not in the description
- Philip (8/5): Perfect Location for our Needs - Ideal location for our needs
Nice bathroom, plenty of hot water
Room well equipped Clearer information concerning picking up and dropping keys off.
- Mark (6/5): Overall fine - Location great. Size ok and room.nice enough. On arrival bed set up wrong but quickly rectified. Old pizza box in top of wardrobe with crusts in. Easily missed though. Didn't realise whole single.bathroom was shared. States shared toilet. Friend and I shared with an older couple. Went ok though.
- Charles (7/5): Great location but shared bathroom - Location Shared bathroom with other residents. Not specified “shared bath/shower” in the description.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Deborah (8/5): Good value and good location with parking - Good location with parking. Walking distance into town. Quiet It could do with a sink in the room
- David (8/5): - Property is within a private road, with very limited access to visitors. There are a couple of visitors' parking spaces, but those were occupied when I arrived, so I had to park in the nearby public car park. This was free after 6pm, but I had to leave before 9am the next morning to avoid being charged for parking. Other than that, my stay was fine - room was clean and comfortable, and shared bathroom was not an issue, as I think I was the only guest that night.
- Grovell (8/5): Very good - Good room, good location, good access to shops and to visiting family who are nearby, good WiFi More tea, coffee, milk, and sugar supplies
- Cesnik (6/5): Pleasant - It was quiet, clean, it served the purpose. Poor customer service.
- Dawn (9/5): Superb - Central location. One small improvement would be additional lighting in the downstairs room as it’s quite dark in the winter. Just a brighter lightbulb in the central light or brighter bedside lights would help.
- Kerry (4/5): Location and parking convenient. Room satisfactory but bathroom needed a deep clean. Basic accommodation is acceptable i - Location and parking was good. Communication good, host was helpful. Bed linen was clean and comfortable. Room was warm. Disappointingly the facilities had not been cleaned and were dirty.
- Maris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniel (5/5): Passable -
- Grovell (8/5): Very good - Ideal location for family
Close to shops and markets on Friday and Saturdays.
Good hosts
Adequate cleaning Had wheel loose and was off my bed and needed a change of duvet due to it being feathered
Needed more tea and coffee supplies
- Rachel (3/5): Horrible experience - There's nothing to like about it first of all nothing showing shared bathroom and toilet. I booked all the house and shown one room when I arrived. Nothing showing there's stairs
When I rung the owner to question he did not pick up my call neither did he ring me back
Very bad experience and never to recommend anyone Nothing to like about it very bad mattress and the carpet was wet smells very bad
- Dawn (9/5): Superb -
- Fiona (9/5): Superb -
- Tracey (10/5): - Lovely property! Stuart was great!
- Linda (10/5): Just the Job will stay again. - Parking space, Lovely Pub 2 minutes round the corner. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Can’t think of anything.
- David (8/5): Comfortable, clean and cost effective. - Location, cleanliness, efficient staff, parking, cost Not keen on shared bathroom.
- Y (8/5): Very good - Rooms are ok. In town cente. I think this place. I mean the whole area, there is issue with tap water. There is a kind if stale smell and it was the same in another place in Tring.
Canned water did not have the smell. It is something to do with the water supply in the area.
- Yasmin (10/5): Well-looked room! - Vert comfortable, clean and tidy. Prime location and very kind and friendly staff. I have included both films that they have available on the photos.
- Rosanne (8/5): We enjoyed the room and it’s connection to the Robin Hood Pub - The room was very comfortable, a great location for us for our final night on the Ridgeway walk
- Lynette (10/5): Lovely room - Second stay here and as happy as the first. Lovely quiet location, clean room, excellent facilities!
- Denise (8/5): Very good -
- Mhairi (8/5): Very good -
- Stella (7/5): Place is ok, could be cleaner and also bare in home it’s a shared bathroom! - Had tea and coffee The bedding had a slightly weird smell and the place could have been cleaner, like the shared bathroom
- Grovell (7/5): Good stay - Location of room
Hosts were nice
Clean bedroom
Enough towels Could do with more tea and coffee supplies
Somewhere wash dishes and cups
Somewhere empty bin
- Michael (4/5): Ok for one night but wouldn’t want to stay any longer. - The propert was hard to find. All they had to was say it was behind the pub. Only two teabags lots of coffee. No milk at all.
Had to share bathroom with two other rooms.
- Marian (7/5): Good - Location was good. Expected to put in a PIN number to access property but there wasn’t a place to do this. The barmaid in the pub was very helpful but had to make a phone call as didn’t usually work there and didn’t know where to find key. Sharing bathroom could have been a problem but fortunately the other flat was empty.
- Laurence (7/5): Good -
- Antony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sara (7/5): Good - Modern and comfortable. Stewart very helpful in giving me a last minute booking. Came up in my search as bed and breakfast but is only bed and tea coffee-making. Room details are clear. Wrongly tagged?
- Birgit (5/5): Our visit with a friend was cut short bc of no communication by owners in regards to accessing the room and the uncertai - Location is central Nobody around to let us in. Hung around for 1 1/2 hours till a neighbour told us that near pub owners run the accommodation. Owners were away and helpers did not know we were booked. They finally let us in. Lucky that the second room was not occupied did not need to share bthrm. Ok for family using 2 rms. Beds uncomfortable with springs you can feel. Light bulbs not working.
Note on inside of front door tells you what to do when you get there but could not read until we were in.
- Rebecca (9/5): Superb -
- Sandra (7/5): Comfortable - No breakfast available!! It would of been nice to have use of the kitchen
- Verified traveler (8/5): Room ok but could have been better - We felt that the room was not cleaned properly, we found hairs on the bedding and in the bathroom, more attention needed, the room was light and airy, basic provisions of fridge, shared bathroom although we didn’t see any other guests when we stayed.
- John (8/5): Good value and location - Room was comfortable. Excellent location for town. Very good value for money. All good
- Dawn (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (8/5): I stayed before we’ll be back again 😀 - Nice and quiet very relaxing
Thank you steward great guy had a wonderful quick
Welcome just how I like it Only the fact no microwave if you won’t to eat it can be costly
- White (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hailstone (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good - The location ,& the pricr Not used to a shared bathroom
- Jo (8/5): Great for overnight at works do, slight miscommunication over beds but sorted easily with one call to Stewart. Thank you - Clean, lovely furnished, self contained . Hand soap would have been helpful as forgot to pack any but used the shower gel 🤷🏼♀️ which was provided.
- Grovell (6/5): Decent - Easy to collect keys from Robin Hood, close to visit family, close to amenities. Host answered questions quickly by text. The quilt and pillows were feathered and asked for non feathered, room was dusty, couldn't find a hair dryer, bin weren't empty in the communal bathroom
- Graham (1/5): Bad -
- Dawn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (7/5): Good place to stay for one or two nights. Great location. - Location was very good
Room and bathroom both very clean. Could have done with having a few drinking glasses.
The bed mattress did dip a little, not enough to disturb sleep, but may need changing in the near future.
- Ian (6/5): - I booked at 3pm and arrived after 6pm but no one was there. I had not received any correspondence so i phoned them. They hadn't checked so didn't know i was coming and the room was not ready. They made their way to the apartment while I waited in my car, and 'cleaned' it. The cleaning took less than 5 minutes, which I found worrying. It certainly hadn't been vacuumed. I also wasn't aware that it was a shared bathroom when I booked. Disappointing.
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Great location, friendly staff. Perfect location for RAF Halton as only 5 minutes away.
- Will (8/5): The host Stewart was helpful and very friendly. - Great location for a night out in Tring.
- Catherine (7/5): Good -
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emma (6/5): - I made a bit of a mistake when booking and didn’t realise that the bathroom was shared with another room. I contacted the owner who was brilliant. He came to see us and after realising that the stairs were also a problem for me, he offered us a full refund and also advised us of other places that we could stay.
Owner was fantastic.
- Reynolds (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, private, comfortable room, easy check in One day the parking lot was full
- Andrew (8/5): Excellent - Great That it had good wifi
- Patrick (9/5): Superb -
- Mike (10/5): Good value for a short stay - Convenient location, clean and comfortable room with fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Quiet, perfect for a short stay, nearby 24 hour Morrisons convenience shop was handy. If you have a problem with shared bathroom, this isn’t for you, but I had no problem.
- Anonymous (10/5): Lovely. Clean - Bed very comfortable Nothing
- Grovell (10/5): Exceptional - It was near to my daughters The quilt and pillows had fethers. I am allergic to feathers
- Linda (10/5): Excellent, highly recommended. - The room was clean and comfortable with lovely bedding. There was everything we needed including an iron, ironing board, tea & coffee making facilities, a fridge and crockery and cutlery. There was even a small table and chairs.
We were very close to the centre of Town but tucked away so it was quiet The only thing I personally struggled with was that the shower was in the bath, so someone that finds this difficult may struggle to get in and out. This is not a criticism as the shower was extremely good!
- Ian (8/5): Very good - Shared bathroom was a pain.
- Rajan (2/5): This is a SHARED property - On the night of the 17th July I stayed at this property. The hotels .com booking stated I’d have the entire place to myself and still does as of the 10th August 2023. I woke up in the night to a naked, urinating, clearly intoxicated man next to my head in my bedroom. I jumped out of the bed as the man got in and fell asleep.
The landlord came over and dealt with this, giving me the drunk man’s room key and swapping our belongings between the rooms. I was also given a full refund and free cancellation for my upcoming stay. I do appreciate how this was handled but I informed the landlord of the mistake on the hotels .com listing and this has not been changed.
It is unacceptable for people to book a property not knowing there will be others sharing the space and not having the full information to keep themselves safe. I am very lucky that nothing worse happened.
- James (6/5): Pleasant -
- Graystock (8/5): Nice comfortable well worth money - It was clean and comfy Getting keys was little awkward but luckily owner dealt with it
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable room with double bed. Bathroom was close. Lots of facilities inside the wardrobe. Excellent WiFi. Will book again. The bin men came very early and we're very noisy. I should have kept the window closed!!
- Joseph (5/5): Passable -
- Michael (8/5): Our 2nd visit. Visiting family we will be happy to stay again - Very friendly towards our dog Nowhere to wash up plates etc
- Christopher (6/5): - ok but noise from above and shared bathroom isssues
- Grovell (10/5): Exceptional - It is a ñice ĺittle place to get back a d for to london Nothing
