Guest Reviews
- Mario (4/5): Hotel room and service very unsatisfactory. - It wasn't good at all. They didn't accept my reservation and I had to pay again regular price. 😒
- Paula (2/5): - We got scammed. The Oyo hotel said that they don't take reservations but my credit card was charged $225. This battle is not over.
- Ryan (2/5): Horrible experience! - I want a full refund. When checking in i was told that this hotel does not take reservations and i was turned away and sent across the street. Horrible experience and i want to be contacted immediately.
- Mike (2/5): - Did not honor my reservation.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again! - The female at the front desk and the male who identified himself as maintenance were talking about the weapons they have exchanged. The gentleman then asked to borrow $30 from the girl so he could return back to the bar with his friends.
- Thomas (2/5): - I didn’t stay there looking to get funds back. They said there not associated with OYO on Expedia any longer.
I call there refund customer service and they say they would refund tho I need to get with Expedia
- Andrea (8/5): - I wasn't sure about this hotel, but the room was near and clean, although older, it was well maintained. I made my reservation thinking it was the newer one across the street, but the staff at both places were great and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
- Rodney (10/5): - Love this hotel
- Rodney (10/5): - Had an amazing stay
- Chris (2/5): - Room had dirty diapers from the guest before still behind the TV the roaches was out of control and the manager is rude
- Chris (8/5): - Our room had roaches and old food on the floor
- William (2/5): - The property was run down and unsafe. They gave my room away well after checking in as I later returned not to have a room. Don’t stay there.
- John (2/5): - This was one of the nastiest experiences we’ve had in 30 years of travel. We just needed a clean bed while traveling and the room was filthy. AC didn’t work - was told to turn it on and off - which was ridiculous and also didn’t work. Towels were basically threadbare. Comforter was well holed. Mattress had mildew and mould all over it. Mould in the corners of the room. AC was covered in thick dust and dirt. Picture frame was falling apart and missing bottom of frame. The room was a disaster. Parking lot was like a carnival ride with all the potholes.
Stay away.
- shadreka (10/5): - Y'all the best
- Clayton (10/5): Love it - Love staying here, this is my hotel of choice because everybody is friendly and everything always goes real smooth.
- John (2/5): - Cancelled my reservation
- Kendra (10/5): - Very cool staff
- Daniel (4/5): Can I get another room? - Had to ask to change rooms because the first one the lights wouldn't turn on the TV wouldn't turn off I found bugs in the drawer and the shower drain was busted
- Tyleek (2/5): - Couldn’t stay longer than a hour. the AC leaks so carpets are damp. Stinks of mold and mildew. I’ve been waiting a long time for a refund.
- Kendra (10/5): - Not really a talk a lot person
- mary (4/5): Pass it on by - Local weekly renters, loud music all night, rude messages taped on front desk, makes you wonder where you're staying
Pool filthy,
You get what you pay for, not good when traveling and can't read the reviews
- Kenny (10/5): - Ok
- Cassie (4/5): - the night time desk lady was RUDE!! rolled her eyes and had the worst attitude. disgusting.
- Dawn (10/5): - Very clean and spacious room!! From the price to booking, to check-in to checkout..not one complaint. Not a bad location either, just off the interstate.. We were looking for some quiet time away from everyday, and we found it here.
- Lana (4/5): - The room wasn’t cleaned properly
- Thomas (2/5): - I upset I made reservations $51 but lady said I didn't charged me $11 more than what I booked it for later I lovk myself out went to front that lady ask was I going claim my reservation I told I checked in already in make me mad why u going rip someone off I stay there abt 4 time a week not anymore
- Sophia (2/5): - Disgusting room with black mold and sticky gross floors. Rooms smelt bad and had a strong odor of weed. Do not recommend staying here even for as cheap as it is
- Thomas (10/5): - Great
- Myeisha (2/5): - I got bed bugs on my back necks legs arm
- Kyle (8/5): - An excellent value
- Travis (2/5): - The property had bed bugs. I am all bitten up
- Stephanie (4/5): - Found a live caterpillar on side the bed also roaches and gnats or something flying in the room.....toilet flushed but took long to stop running...Also shower head fell while I was trying to adjust it
- Patrick (8/5): - Big bed
- Clayton (10/5): Very nice hotel for the money - This is the only hotel I ever stay in. When I come to this area, they’re inexpensive, and they have an early check-in time which is perfect for what I’m in town for. Very nice and very convenient.
- Michael (2/5): - Room was filthy, bed sheets and towels had hair in them. Crumbs in the bed and on floor. Hairs in bathroom sink and tub. Awful.
- Larry D (10/5): - Love the asthomsphere
- John (6/5): - Affordable place to stay.
- Emily (6/5): - It was about what I expected for the price, we were just needing a bed and a shower for one night so opted for a budget motel, which this was. Having said that, it was just what we needed and pretty much all the basics. The towels were stained and paper thin and there were questionable "guests" hanging around the property at night but otherwise it was pretty good.
- Chris (10/5): - Good place to stay for a decent price
- John (2/5): - We found roaches on the sink as soon as we walked in and on walls , but then we found a use condom on the floor in the corner. We asked for a refund, they offered another room, but at this point the entire hotel was dirty.
- shelby (10/5): - I didn't like that the pool was closed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Audubon - Ok place for the price. Lots of questionable clientele. But the staff was courteous.
- Ronnie (8/5): - Ok
- Jewel (10/5): - Everything
- seyed morteza (8/5): - It was clean and safe place
- Christa (6/5): - ok for the price
- Suzanne (10/5): - The staff is exceptionally nice. Anything you need is in the lobby.
- Victoria (4/5): - There was no power on one wall of the room.
Limited towels.
Very mediocre and over priced for the quality of the stay.
- Mary J (10/5): - Convenient, quiet, nice fridge and microwave.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - TV wasn't up on the wall no trash can no ashtrays for smoking
- Eli (4/5): - Run down musty truck stop hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): Needs to offer breakfast - The place needs some updating. And there was no breakfast available only coffee.
- Tracy (10/5): - Easy check in.. super friendly staff. Suited our needs perfectly
- Johannes (8/5): I would stay again. - Decent hotel for the price, bed was comfortable. The pillows were to flat in my opinion. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again.
- Alishawn (6/5): - I didnt enjoy the beds i scratched my self on the bed rail and my grand baby scratched her back on the bed rail also.
- Chris (2/5): - Alcohol bottles not cleaned up in room. Room not cleaned rust everywhere
- Verified traveler (2/5): RUN DON'T WALK .. RUN AWAY - The manager was the most unprofessional I've seen and that includes ones at McDonalds or Wendy's. I do no like using the term, but honestly Ghetto as #$%^ is the absolute only way to describe her. The clerk who they run ragged, doing all the stuff her and her lazy assistant manager won't do, is not a bad person, but when overwhelmed with their crap, can get quite nasty. I overheard 2 other long term tenants go off on the manager and threaten to call the health department. They need to, the place needs to be condemned. If you need a late night quick nap and shower, you can take the chance, anything more than that RUN .. run to the truck stop if necessary. $15 shower and sleep in your car is far better than this place.
- Tina (4/5): - The setup of the property was nice. However, the pool was green due to algae and our nonsmoking room obviously had been smoked in. The pillows were also very small and flat for a King bed.
- Vienna (2/5): Water won't drain - The water in the bathtub won't drain. There are roches everywhere. The tv doesn't have actually have kids channel. The pillows were lumpy and probably older then me, one of them smelled like someone's dirty head.
- Carmen (4/5): - The reason I had booked this hotel was it said it served breakfast and it had a pool, came with my kids. They had a sign that said breakfast but didn't serve any i asked about the pool and apparently that was closed to. It was very loud at night the one night i stayed the walls were very thin.or maybe it's the door. The fridge they had in there spelled horrible it wasn't dirty but smelled horrible every time you opened it. The man at the front was friendly. The room had a smoke smell to it. Even though it was none smoking.
- Luzdady (4/5): Two stars - No breakfast provided even tho it was advertised. Room was dirty and seemed to have pet hair on the carpet old soap in the bath tub no shampoo. The pool was pretty nasty. We came to sleep but definitely needed the above mentioned amenities addressed. The check in employee was nice and knowledgeable.
- Winchell (4/5): - First the front desk r so rude like she don't wanna work there second we didn't see the house keeping right just we about to check out
- Lacey (2/5): Please Keep Looking The Cheap Price Isn't Worth It - I am writing this for anyone like me who looks at reviews for what to avoid. I wish I had seen a review like mine. It would have prevented me from booking here. I knew this was a very basic, no frills hotel. Got it. No problem. What I did not expect was a filthy, drug haven where I didn't even feel safe. Right next door to us was a freaking office for drug deals. They weren't even shy about it. They left the door open!! Any time I had to walk by, we got mean mugged to keep going & felt extremely unsafe. Our carpet had a huge chunk of it ripped/torn out in the middle of our room. Our AC quit working in the middle of the night. Both rooms I rented had cigarette/cigar/blunt burns on the bedding. All the beds! Which, the mattresses were stained with some mystery substance so it all kind of blended into a filthy look anyway. Was the stain blood? Not sure. Urine? Perhaps. I honestly couldn't tell you.Don't walk around your hotel room barefoot. The carpets were sticky. It was like candy had been stuck to it kind of sticky but there was no candy - and the whole carpet was that way. One room the toilet didn't flush. That was fun. Housekeeping beat on our door twice before 11am checkout. I wanted to tell them to relax & we were leaving as soon as possible. Not sure why housekeeping wanted in so bad....it's not like they were going to clean the damn rooms anyway. In front of rooms was trash and old toys. Just looked nasty. Staff was nice though & seemed like good people.
- Peter (4/5): Good enough for a night - Had 2 rooms, one wasn’t clean and had a plastic bag over the fire alarm, other room was clean, no fire alarm. Front desk staff wasn’t especially friendly either at check in or check out, and, despite being so close to Baton Rouge, provided poor attempts at insight for places to eat/drink.
- Tommy (8/5): - Staff was courteous and helpful. Rooms were not new, but appeared clean and comfortable.
- Debra (2/5): Stay away. - Room was filthy. Dirt all over floor both in bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom mirror hadn't even been cleaned. Air conditioner broke down and instead of moving me to an empty room they called the service guy to swap air conditioners from an empty room to mine. So couldn't get changed or relax after a 14 hour drive till work was done. I asked if I could get a bottom floor room as I Had a small trailer only covered with a tarp. The last three hotels I stayed in where very accommodating and understanding. The woman at this hotel couldn't have given a damn. In fact the man that booked after me was given a first floor room. The only help I received was when I asked if I could get a bucket of warm water to wash oil of car windshield. I ended up with a rubbish bin that I had to take up to my top floor room to fill with water from room and carry back down. These managers could do with a lesson in treating their guests with understanding and some compassion. They need new cleaners as well. Bed covers full of cigarette burns and so were the curtains. Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. Noise bad hospitality bad cleanliness bad.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Sketch - It was not a great stay. Lights didn’t turn on, area wasn’t great.
- Ann (4/5): Budget hotel - This is a budget hotel and you get what you paid for. IIts a place to dleep, but don't expect kuxuries. It's close to an industrial area and there is a 'lot of truck traffic, but the hotel was quiet enough and there were no noise issues. Decor was updated at some point, but low quality workmanship is evident.
. Mattress was comfortable but pillows lumpy and bedding of lower quality. No breakfast served, but coffee was available in the lobby.
.
- Diana (10/5): - Everything was great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Id rethink before i stay again - Well it wasnt the worst ive stayed in but deffinantly not the best! They need to take more care to cleaning the rooms! I went from the shower barefooted and i had to go back in and wash my feet. How they got got a 7.6 rating i will never know. The lobby, pool, and outside looked great & attractive.
- matthewlK6371FY (2/5): Scam pricing - First, I booked online through the motel's website and had confirmation of the reservation and price in email. When I checked in, they said they were "no longer honoring those prices" and "it must be a computer mistake", despite the fact that the
email came directly from them. They demanded $10 extra for the checkin. Given the late hour, I stayed anyway. My "nonsmoking" room reeked of smoke. The only bedding was a cruddy bedspread over a thin sheet. There was mold in the shower.
Nothing to recommend, unfortunately. There are two other similar priced motels at this exit. Stay in one of those.
- Luis A (2/5): - The room was very dirty and had a strong smoke odor. The shower was broken and the lights in the room did not work. The lightbulbs were burnt out. The towels were all stained and torn. We felt very unsafe during our stay. I would not stay at this location or recommend it to anyone.
- gloria (10/5): - Great stay
- Joyce (10/5): Comfortable - Comfortable bed, enjoyed the motel. Would stay again..
- Jeffrey (10/5): Location - Great location
- Diana (4/5): - There was roaches
- Diana (8/5): - Staff greeted me,but he didn't smile once.room was good.a man claiming to be maintenance knocked on my door and asked to spray.i told him no.i don't let none in my room.
- Diana (10/5): - Few roaches in hotel,and the tub stopper didn't work.toilet ran all night.other than that.staff was excellent.price was good.
- Diana (10/5): - Everything was great except the door to my room was a little hard to open.
- Diana (10/5): - Staff was courteous.quiet.laid back the only thing that was wrong was the bath tub stopper didn't work.other than that.it was great
- Clayton (10/5): Awesome - This was the first time I had ever stayed at this hotel and I promise I’ll be back, I absolutely loved everything about it.
- Cynthia (8/5): - My only complaint was that the Clerk said nothing about breakfast. We probably were going elsewhere anyway, but they should always mention those extras! Our room was clean. Check-in was quick and easy. I don't know where else you could find a room for $80 total, king bed, with a pool... tiny refrigerator and a microwave! No coffee, though.
- Sudip (8/5): - Nice big room with proper clean sheets and towel. The entire shower unit has a problem with the flow and adjusting hot & cold water. For complimentary breakfast they only have coffee.
- Russell (6/5): - Okay if you only need someplace to sleep. First hotel that we have stayed in that didn’t provide shampoo.
- Diana (8/5): - Staff was excellent.tv went out,so there was no tv and a few roaches. Everything else was great
- Stephen (6/5): - A cheaper alternative not far from LSU and just a few quick steps over to Crazy Horse. I happenned to arrive at a time when there was a cable and internet outage -- and they were able to check me in, but I had to pay cash -- which makes going to Crazy Horse less feasible ... etc
no soaps in room -- so clearly unprofessional housekeeping -- but otherwise a pretty good room with fully working AC.
but about $100 / night all in was expensive for the poor location and lame amenities
- Stephanie (4/5): Definitely needs work - No soaps provided. The bedspread had several small holes in it. Bed was hard. The bathroom doorknob was broken and the faucet dripped constantly. The AC unit was insanely loud. The door to the room didn't seal well, you could see daylight through it when it was closed and locked. There was a broken drawer on one of the nightstands and only 1 of the lights by the bed worked because the other one was missing a bulb.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never stay here - The hotel had "lost" my reservation and to make up for it supposedly gave me someone else's reservation. Yes I was glad to still have a room but felt bad for the other person losing their reservation. Terrible service all around and the rooms smelled moldy.
- Reshonda (2/5): The hotel cancelled my stay - The hotel cancelled my stay stating that they had over booked their rooms. There was a Hurricane approaching and that is not professional at all.
- David (4/5): Unsettling, Unsafe, Unappealing. - Don't let the 7.0 rating fool you -- this place is a 4 at best. Its next door neighbor is The Crazy Horse Cabaret (okay - shame on me for not seeing this detail when booking)... The front desk staff was not friendly, said she couldn't locate my reservation and said that my Hotels.com confirmation number wouldn't be any help because their systems don't work right. There was a man who appeared to be under the influence wandering about the lobby and sneaking into the dark/closed breakfast room. The parking lot and the entire property was very "sketchy" - I have never barricaded my hotel door with luggage and equipment, but I did at this place. When we got to the room, every lamp and appliance was unplugged -- try tripping around in the dark to find some way to turn on a light!!! Ridiculous (and needless to say - the refrigerator was worthless since it had been left unplugged!!)!! The windows are HUGE and the curtains DO NOT block the outside lighting from other businesses - so basically you are trying to sleep with a 4 inch line of outside light coming through the top of the curtain (not enough to illuminate a room, but more than enough to interrupt the proper sleep of two exhausted, road weary adults). The shower was rigged to not permit any hot water (seriously). And the complimentary breakfast??? NADA - they had a table with two coffee urns, powdered cream and sugar. YUCK. never. ever. again. I'd sleep in my car first!
- Patricia (2/5): - When I got to the property the lady at the front desk canceled my booking. She told me because they were over booked and that Expedia was to contact me about the cancel reservation. No one contacted me about this problem, not even the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and nice staff
- Miguel (6/5): Old and rundown - When we arrive the attendance work made it seem that I was being a inconvenience by checking in. The room smelled bad. The pictures make it look better than it is.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Convenient but their remodeling is noticeable. Room was not fully set up, and had things missing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't stay here. Zero stars. - It began with the lackluster, disdainful service at the front desk, where the clerk tried to charge me for the room even though I had already paid through the app. The grounds were clearly in a transitional phase, going from mediocre to terrible.
The maintenance person (I think that's who it was) dropping large, full, garbage bags from the 2nd floor onto the dirt patch below to avoid walking down the stairs with them screamed class. After walking back to the lobby building to get directions for the ice machine (no signage in the room or a phone), the same clerk pointed me in the direction where something that used to be an ice machine was. What was there was a disassembled pile of metal that certainly did not dispense ice. Luckily there was a convenience store within walking distance.
Although I had booked a non-smoking room, my bed had at least two cigarette burns in it (see photo). The baby roach in the cold fridge was happy I let it out and quickly made its way towards the bed.
The chair at the desk did not have a working height adjuster, so getting work done on my laptop was not possible, and I had no confidence that another working chair would appear if I made the trek to the lobby again.
The wi-fi was decent and I was at least able to distract myself with YouTube from the poor choice I had made in booking this room.
- Cristy (2/5): - They Turned the Water off about 3am that Morning. Check out is at 12. 11 oclock No Towels? THEY SUCKED!
- Tanisha (2/5): - Not what i expected dirty dog hair in beds awful raccoons outside dirty as well as rooms employess rude
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Everything about the room was great except the condition of the bathtub it was hideous stained rust and dirt all around it tried washing it out but it was stuck there other than that it was ok
- Verified traveler (2/5): - A stranger black man walked in my room with a card key, enough said!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I didn't stay long just enough to sleep. But I would stay again absolutely. The staff are hilarious and friendly. The rooms were clean and the air was cold.
