- Youyou (10/5): Very lucky to find here and have a nice stay - A beautiful and incredibly good value place to stay! Both the air conditioning and hot water work perfectly. You can find pretty much things you need in the room, from kitchenware and various seasonings even toys for kids.
The host is very warm and friendly! If I come back to Hobart in future, I would definitely choose to stay here again! Nothing
- Madelyn (10/5): Our family of 5 loved staying at Rosehaven Cottage. We’ll be back! - We had a wonderful stay at Rosehaven Cottage! It had everything we needed, plus more, which made for a really comfortable stay. We really appreciated having the second lounge room so that my mother and father in law were able to have their own space of an evening. It was very kid friendly also!
- Jocelyn (10/5): - Ted’s cottage is so beautiful, check in was seamless and location was great,
as was Ted’s communication.
The kitchen was well stocked with condiments and everything you needed to whip up a meal.
I would absolutely book here again next time I’m in Hobart.
Thank you Ted for hosting us.
- Lauren (10/5): Gorgeous little cottage, location excellent with the street so quiet. Lots of restaurants just down the road. - Fabulous, gorgeous little cottage
- Dinovino (9/5): Hobart Holiday Home, perfect for family groups. - Excellent clear communication with Ted. Plenty of space and room for the whole family. Many thoughtful touches, two complete bathrooms and an extra living area. The deck and barbeque area are superb. Easy walk to North Hobart, city centre is more challenging so having transport would be an advantage.
- Patti (10/5): We had a great time thx - Location, comfy beds, great space. Parking was a bit tricky as the space was smallish and other people parked out front a lot of the time.
- Henk (10/5): Great house, good location and very comfortable - Large cottage, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, with lovely sundeck. A great location for exploring Hobart. Near to Elizabeth street where all the restaurants, bars and shops are located. Nothing - excellent accommodation
- Stanija (10/5): - Sehr schönes Haus an ruhiger Lage. Haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Nichts.
- Kathryn (8/5): Fit our needs as 2 couples traveling together. Property has multiple areas to enjoy - Comfortable, roomy and good location
- Tania (9/5): - The kitchen facilities, 2 separate entertainment areas, large bedrooms,2 bathrooms. Comfortable beds.
- Martin (9/5): - Spacious, clean and comfortable home with plenty of period features in a quiet neighbourhood with street parking. 30 minutes walk from the harbour.
- Robert (9/5): -

- Alison (8/5): - Clean, comfortable and quiet. Good location. Definitely haunted!

- Karen (10/5): - Beautiful house and garden.
- Mark (10/5): - Ted's a legend place is awesome location and peaceful quiet perfect brah Had to leave lol
- Kevin and Nicky (10/5): A wonderful stay with another couple in this stunning cottage. We will be recommending it to others - The location was excellent, communication was excellent . The cottage has been restored and just beautiful as was the garden.
Very close to Elizabeth St and all the restaurants.
Beds were very comfortable. Just a very small thing and it didn’t detract from our wonderful stay but it would have been great to have more than 3 spoons and 3 breakfast bowls otherwise the kitchen was well stocked.
We travelled with a couple with mobility issues and a slip proof mat in the shower would have been a little safer for them
- Sarah BVO (9/5): Fabulous end to a great holiday - The house was very comfortable and had everything we could have wanted Nothing
- Andrea (10/5): We will be back !!! - Location was great, home away from home 😊
- Abbie (10/5): - Lovely space, very warm
- Carolina (10/5): - A beautiful little house in a quiet street. We managed to park on the street in front of the property every day. It’s an older house, so quite cold inside, but the heating in the living areas was very good. We had a lovely stay and would recommend and come back!
- Heather (10/5): Perfect family friendly home away from home - Rosehaven was very close to everything, the rooms were really big, 2 lounge areas which was great. I loved that there was a little table and bucket of toys for the little ones. The beautiful little garden in the backyard was so lovely. It was nice and tidy, well cared for and maintained, plenty of cooking things with some basic things in the cupboards includes salt and pepper, herbs, sauce ect, pots pants, things for the BBQ. Both TV's had Netflix on them. This was truly a beautiful historical home to stay in. We loved our time staying, the owner was so lovely and responsive. I highly recommend your next holiday in hobart at rosehaven cottages. You wont be disappointed. The only thing I can say wasn't good is that the driveway is very narrow, so if you have a bigger car, its best to park along the street, which can be hard if the footy is on. Also, the bottom shower needs a non-slip mat.
- Samantha (10/5): - Beautiful, well presented home that was warm and inviting as soon as you set foot through the front gate.
The house was fully furnished and stocked with everything for a comfortable stay. It was in a great location too
- Naomi (10/5): - Beautiful cottage located close to many must see sights in Hobart. The owners have thought about the smaller details which made staying there exceptional. From a herb garden and a fully equipped kitchen, to toys and books for the children. There are two living areas, one of which is appropriately furnished for children, the other for adults. Highly recommend this cottage for your holiday. If you have a larger car, the driveway is narrow. However, there is ample street parking and I had no trouble parking in front of the cottage.
- Jill (10/5): Home away from home - Lovely cottage, very homey, great location. Great place for a family to stay, we all had a wonderful time.
- Donna (9/5): Superb -

- Alexandra (8/5): Thanks for the great convenient home. - Big comfy beds, beautifully clean and cozy, lovely heritage features and artwork, easy walk to restaurants. Kids appreciated the books, toys and games. A great base for our young family to explore Hobart from. Coffee machine was a bit finicky and only one dishwasher tablet provided for a 4 night stay.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Homely accommodation that was spacious and clean. - Clean and spacious. Great location. Driveway was a bit narrow for our big Amarok 4WD but would be fine for most other cars. Just reverse in.

It has 2 bathrooms which allow my family members no need to queue long for showers.
The living room sofa is great for family. No insect screen for the windows.
One double bed room is quite small that luggage cannot be opened up in the room.

- Traveller (9/5): A great place to stay with family or friends while visiting Hobart. - The location was superb, walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. The house has been lovingly cared for, and a great size for 5 adults. The parking was difficult. The offstreet parking was too narrow for our car and we were not always able to get parking in the street in front of the house.
We found the couches were not the most comfortable to sit in for some time while watching TV.
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional - Cozy and nice
- Lindsay (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (10/5): Enjoyable stay - Great location, easy for day trips and a great Thai restaurant at the end of the street. Well-appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay.
- Rachel (8/5): Very good -
- Lynette (10/5): Relaxing stay in convenient location - The cottage had everything we needed, was located in a really conveniently and had spacious living areas where one could relax if others wanted to watch tv. Two bathrooms was a bonus when staying with family. Apparently the coffee pods were very nice according to the coffee drinkers in the family. Would recommend as a high standard stay in Hobart.
- Orla (9/5): Superb -
- Wan (8/5): Very good -
- Ainsley (9/5): Superb - The cottage was spacious for a young family. Excellent location. Had all required amenities for a comfortable stay.
- Dyer (9/5): A great place to stay, well equipped and located a short drive to the city. - Location in North Hobart great - no doubt noisy when games on at the stadium but otherwise quiet nice neighbourhood. House well equipped with 2 bathrooms, outside seating options front and back in a nice garden. For those happy to walk 15 minutes the Elizabeth st eateries are doable! Visitors book a nice addition. Had a little trouble with getting oven on and didn't see any instructions. Driveway very narrow so left large car on street - however for us no issues with parking as no games on.
- Sue (10/5): excellent -
- Carol (10/5): Loved the location and ambiance of this wonderful home - Very spacious. Felt comfortable there in a home environment. Nothing.
- Keri-charle (10/5): Cozy Cottage, full of Charm. Family friendly. Ticked all the boxes. - A home away from home. It was the perfect accommodation for our family. Loved the houses charm, it was cozy, and warm. Kitchen was great, loved having family dinners around the table. Nothing. It was perfect.
- Kerrie (10/5): We had an excellent stay. Plenty of room for four adults. Very comfortable - The property was great. Well situated. Everything you need is there.
Very comfortable beds. As a person with a disability I felt that there could be a railing down to the bottom level. It was slightly hard to get down the stairs.
The back shower also could do with a non slip shower mat in it as it tended to be a bit slippery.
- Foley (8/5): Clean, comfortable accommodation - Very clean, comfortable, good location, lots of room.
- Elisa (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional - It suited what we needed as a family. Everything was great.
- Aimi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Camille (10/5): Home away from home, very cosy and convenient location -
- Kerry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cindy (7/5): Good - Needed back area with some sort of patio/cover
- Raymond (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): A beautiful cottage which is very close to most places. - The cottage is spacious, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed.
- Ruby (10/5): Super convenient location, spotless house and the loveliest host - Everything. My overseas friends could not stop gushing over this property (I’ve shown them all around Tassie and Melbourne so we’ve stayed in quite a few places) and Rosehaven Cottage was our absolute favourite. Super convenient - shops are just around the corner with plenty of parking. Absolutely nothing. If we absolutely had to be picky, the water pressure wasn’t so great but we found this to be more of a Tassie problem than a property problem.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Suman (8/5): Nice Cosy & clean cottage - Very clean, thoughtfully stocked and extremely helpful host/contact person. Nothing much to dislike. Things that can be improved are little things such as garbage bin peddle is broken - will cost very little to replace it. You can park car on the street or inside but inside is a bit of struggle due to space constraints on both side.
- Josiah (9/5): It's a comfortable and charming place. - Great location. Quiet street. Easy to travel out. North Hobart offer a number of great coffee shops and decent restaurants.
Spacious cottage with two living areas. Kitchen is fully equipped. It is not luxurious but very charming.
- Neil (9/5): great location can walk to most restaurants - location nothing
- Trevor (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (9/5): Everything you need - Lovely house. Well stocked and very clean
- Meriel (10/5): Excellent. Would highly recommend - House had everything required. Location using our car or Uber very convenient. House much larger than expected. Instructions for cooker would have been helpful. Bbq not clean Bbq not clean. Cooker difficult to program until we found instructions.
- Deborah (8/5): Good location with easy access by car or walking to areas we wished to visit. Clean and tidy. - Great communication with host who efficiently dealt with a minor issue I contacted him about.
- Lewis (9/5): Well situated comfortable property - Well situated property close to shops, restaurants and 5 mins. from Hobart waterfront. Off street parking a bonus as street parking can be crowded. Nth Hobart oval is across the road. Kitchen has everything we needed and there are 2 lounge areas and 2 TVs No clothes line or pegs but pop out clothes airers supplied
House has above ground level open rear deck with no solid handrails or balustrades so small children would need to be supervised there
- Denise (8/5): great place to stay to explore Hobart and sit back and enjoy holiday time. - Quaint cottage in good location, close to great eating strip. all good, a couple of little things missed for longer stay - dishwasher tablets, bin bags, but easily rectified when asked.
- Gratzer (10/5): Exceptional - Rose Haven cottage is a beautiful holiday home that had everything we needed for our family for a week.
We loved staying here. Location was ideal and the house had plenty of comforts. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'd definitely stay here again!
