• Natalia (5/5): Good but not for everyone - Location was good and service was great, direct beach access Lots of stairs, issues with AC and animals inside the houses. Shower at the ground floor, we at the first floor, bedroom on a 2nd floor and very steep entrance

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing in a great location right on the beach with views of the volcano and a fantastic sunrise spot. They also helped arrange a fun snorkeling trip, and the resident cat Peanut was such a cute bonus! Everything great!

• Larisa (7/5): Что-то среднее между избушкой на курьих ножках и домиком Ниф-Нифа и Наф-Нафа. - Безусловно персонал старается. Завтрак входил в стоимость моего домика с названием Amed и включал несколько опций на выбор, в том числе традиционный комплекс: яйца, бекон, фасоль. Вкусные свежевыжатые соки. Также мы воспользовались спец предложением и заказали комплексный ужин с уткой за 155 к дирхам. Готовят нормально. Небольшой не особо богатый риф находится прямо напротив отеля - 10-50 метров и вы видите морских обитателей. Мы уехали на день раньше. Сам домик сделан из того что попалось под руку, туалетная зона расположена странно, в душ нужно спуститься на этаж ниже. Весь санузел напоминает деревенский туалет в худшем проявлении. Владельцы украсили туалет деревянными элементами, похоже на что-то антикварное, но облезлое и пыльное. Из-за щелей между досками и плетеной крыши в доме жара. Когда трогаешь стены, они прям горячие. Кондиционер и потолочный вентилятор с охлаждением этого всего не справляются, мало того, дует в сторону кровати. Полы чистые, но везде по углам и на элементах декора пыль. По кровати ползали насекомые, по стенам номера внутри лазили гекконы, в последний день на кровати обнаружили их какашки. Сам курорт на мой взгляд не стоит посещения, каменистый пляж, инфраструктуры около отеля особой нет. Вечером делать нечего, если в ближайших кафе никто не выступает.

Lovely stretch of beach in front of the hotel with a few loungers. Our accommodation was over 3 floors which wouldn't suit everyone. However if added to the charm of it.

• Steffen (8/5): Schnorchelparadies - Die Frühstücksterrasse. Die Lage des Bungalows direkt am Strand. Strandliegen waren wenige, aber haben immer gereicht. Man kann direkt am Hotel schnorcheln und Schildkröten sehen. Gehen Sie zum Warung Bobo und lassen sich von dort mit der Strömung bis zum Hotel treiben. Einzigartige Unterwasserwelt direkt am Hotel! Die Schlitze zwischen den Holzbrettern und das ohne Moskitonetz. Der Bungalow ist sehr rustikal, das führt dazu, dass im Bad halt auch mal eine Ratte zu Besuch kommt. Trotz alledem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Schade war auch die Lärmbelästigung durch andere Hotelgäste, die bis spät in die Nacht auf der Frühstücksterrasse gefeiert haben. Da kann aber das Hotel nichts dafür.

• CHRISTOPHE (9/5): Un resort atypique et sympathique - Accueil sympathique et professionnel. Resort avec quelques gites en bois. Le nôtre était sur pilotis et sur 3 niveaux (rdc : douche extérieur directement au sol, 1er : wc, lavabo, espace de rangement pour les valises, 2eme : chambre climatisée avec vue sur la mer). Un peu déroutant au début mais finalement pas déplaisant. Bon Petit déjeuner à la carte à déguster sur la terrasse face à la mer (superbe !). Transat disponible sur la terrasse ou la plage. Baignade en face. Équipe disponible. Gite non adapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite. Très chaud au 1er niveau. Ne pas choisir le petit déjeuner français car décevant par rapport aux autres choix.

• Tiffanie (9/5): Hôtel charmant au calme avec une équipe adorable - L'équipe de cet hôtel est exceptionnelle !! Ils sont au petit soin pour leurs hôtes. L'emplacement les pieds dans l'eau au bord d'une plage parfaite pour le snorkeling où nous avons pu voir énormément de poissons et des tortues, loin de la foule de la baie de Jemeluk. Notre chambre était propre et grande. L'hôtel est très charmant, les repas pris le soir et les petits déjeuner étaient délicieux également. Un petit hôtel idéalement situé si vous souhaitez être chouchouté et loin de la foule ! Le seul point négatif est l'isolation de la chambre. Nous n'entendions pas du tout la route, mais malheureusement les autres clients de l'hôtel.

Pdj parfait nous avons même déjeuner le midi et rien à dire sur les repas. Style cabane sympa. La chambre et la salle était top. La proximité avec la route on entend le coq de la route d en face toute la nuit. Trop de lumière dans la chambre pas de rideaux sur les fenêtres en hauteur. Dommage

• Lalla M. (8/5): Relaxed seaside stay - Excellent value for money, staff extremely kind and helpful, the room with a sea view was lovely. Breakfast was tasty, with a few options. Safe, friendly and relaxed environment. Plenty of snorkeling opportunities just around the corner - and actually even in front of the hotel. Would probably deserve a 0.5 higher rate but Booking doesn't allow that :) Like many hotels with similar architecture, the acoustic insulation is not great so ine has to hope other guests at breakfast are respectful - but the plus is being able to fall asleep with the sound of waves

• Leon (4/5): For the price it is poor value. - The only positives are staff are nice, on the beach, and it’s in a good location. Not sure where to start. The front office runs like a decent resort with good communication and staff in uniforms always on standby. But the place itself is pretty shabby. Our room facing the pool has no windows (cannot see outside). The pool is dirty a la water is murky. The bathroom is missing lights and way too dark, sink is clogged, full of dark wet corners where mosquitos lurk. We made the mistake of turning off the a/c (thinking save electricity) and returning an hour later the entire room smelled like mold and wet dog. The sheets all smell sour from not being properly dried. The sweeping outside starts early and very audible from inside as if sweeping under the bed. A poor nights rest and an early wake up from the sweeping. The breakfast was also mediocre at best: the fruit platter was a few pieces of tasteless fruit in various states of under ripeness, the full English set was an assemblage of convenient store products: white toast toasted hard and dry, tasteless bacon and sausage, canned baked beans (tiny ramekin and not even warmed up) next to half an under ripe tomato and some eggs. And It took quite a long time to prepare which made us late to our snorkeling appointment. Also not sure what the espresso machine was there for since the coffee is bali kopi. Oh and the room internet is too weak or unavailable most of the day — cant even load google maps it’s so slow and weak. It looks like some resort took over this property and is charging a premium for front office services but the place leaves a lot to be desired. And this was one of the more expensive places we looked at.

Walking distance to sunset point beach club which is an awesome place to watch a sunset. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious also!
• Martine (9/5): Superb - Fabulous location. Very quirky rooms. If you are older like myself, 61, it is best to request a room without stairs. Our room had a narrow wooden staircase from bedroom down to bathroom, which took a bit of navigating in the middle of the night. Breakfast was great. Staff were very helpful. Great snorkelling in front of resort.

• Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location and facility, especially for a getaway with easy access to snorkeling right from the Amed Lodge deck on the beach. The accommodations are a trendy style that's gorgeous to look at, everywhere you look there's a new artistic detail. The whole property is stunning. The rooms are also very comfortable, with all the amenities I wanted. Finally the staff are exceptional, and extremely friendly and helpful with whatever you need assistance with.

• Malena (10/5): The Amed Lodge is an authentic, boutique Balinese hotel with some beautiful Japanese design touches. - We came for two nights and stayed for 2 weeks. The Amed Lodge is an authentic, boutique Balinese hotel with some beautiful Japanese design touches. The rooms are all designed individually and have a lot of character and style. The lodge is situated right on a quiet stretch of beach where you can swim and do some nice snorkeling. We felt very welcome and enjoyed talking to Pina, Ayu and the team. • Elizabeth (6/5): - The staff were excellent. Beds were firm. Showers had lots of hot water. Things that I didn’t like were no sun loungers/ bean bag chairs to relax on. If you wanted to sit by the ocean then you had to sit at tables and chairs in the dining area. Pool had no seats unless you were in room Sindhu. At breakfast my toast came out cold-since that was all I ordered it was very disappointing. Internet in the room was non existent. Only good reception was the dining area. The rooms had low lightening. No outlet in bathroom if you wanted to use a hair appliance. Showers were VERY rustic. If you don’t mind showering with the occasional centipede. No full length mirror. A suggestion that I have would be have yoga mats an available to use since there is no gym close by.
• Anneklint (6/5): Pleasant - Location is super as right on the beach. Great snorkeling just outside. Staff super friendly, helped to rent bikes as well and changed the smelly towels. Unfortunately, we got the small and dark room with bedroom upstairs and toilet/shower downstairs, so it's not easy when needed to go downstairs in the night. A small hanger on the wall only for all clothes. No fridge, very dark, and all linen and towels smelled from the humidity. We were lucky to change to a room downstairs by the pool, still dark and a strong smell from.tge toilet for the person sleeping close to bathroom.Here no hanger in the room for clothes, only in the bathroom.No place to sunbath by pool or beach, they had sunbeds hidden away so we took them.and moved away some tables. The staff could have offered that.If stying here book the room with terrace by the beach.
• Andryoandryo (6/5): A good beach-side accommodation with semi-outdoor bathroom - Beach side with ocean view, lovely and helpful staff, and good location. The semi-outdoor bathroom and toilet means there were some uninvited guests (animals). The building and structure seems outdated, and the linen was a bit damp and smelly.

• Juliette (10/5): Felt like home! - Everything! It was beautifully designed. The bed was so comfortable. Room spacious. And the best is that they work towards no single use plastic. They happily fill water bottles. The staff are so helpful and kind. Beautiful spot to land.

• Loi (7/5): Good value for money place. - All Staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the villas has bedroom on upper floor. May not suit elderly who has to climb narrow flight of stairs. There are mozzies and not all beds can be installed with mosquito net. Location is 12-15 minutes walk from the nearest decent cafe or mini mart.

• Edina (2/5): Bad experiences - This stay had the potential to be wonderful, thanks to the excellent location right on the beach and the lovely balcony with its stunning sea view. Sadly, however, things took a disappointing turn. Where do I start... When we arrived, the accommodation made us sign a very long list of things they don't take responsibility for (if you get hurt, if something disappears from your room, etc). This makes us feel a bit uncomfortable, we have never had such a list signed anywhere in Bali. Unfortunately, on the night of the second day my husband became very ill: some kind of stomach infection. In a complete panic I would have tried to ask for help at the reception, where to go for medical help, but at night there is NO ONE at the reception, no one to help you if anything happens at midnight, and it's quite scary. The same night a rat came into our room (there is a big gap by the terrace door that almost any animal can get in). I know the accommodation says it's our fault because we are not allowed to keep food in the room, but apart from some dried bananas and dry dog food (packed in its original packaging.), there was no other food in the room. As we could not put the rat out at night, we slept outside on the beach until morning. By morning, my husband was completely weakened, so I asked the staff to order a taxi for us (to the clinic) and requested an estimate of the taxi cost. They quoted 200,000 IDR (round trip) to the clinic located 1.2 km away (a 3-minute drive), which is simply ridiculously and shamelessly overpriced. How can someone exploit a sick person's condition to such an extent for profit? I find this extremely inhumane. (In my country, and in other normal places, the host would take a sick guest to a clinic 1 km away for FREE in such a situation.) Naturally, due to what happened, we immediately checked out and moved to another accommodation.
