Hazel (10/5): Home away from home, clean safe and a super host🌸 - Cherry 🍒 is really a great host, nothing was ever to much for her, she was gracious and kind in all of our dealings, I felt super safe staying at the property especially being a female travelling alone, this will be my accommodation in George for every work trip, hope she will have availability when needed as it is always booked up, and loads of returning guests which says a lot about the property and host 🙏🏼 Nothing

The third bedroom of the house was small and its bathroom is old and toilet water didn’t switch off which was noisy. The bathroom was not pleasant. A washing machine would be a great added benefit especially for the house.

Beautiful garden with view on the mountain. The bed was very comfortable. The landlady was very friendly and helpful There was no shower. Had to use a shower head mounted over the bath. The shower curtain did not work well. The floor was always wet. Risk of slipping. Housekeeping was not good. Had to ask for more toiletpaper and a dry shower mat. The breakfast was served at the guesthouse and not at the lodge. This is within walking distance but not convenient, Was not advertised on bookings.com that way. The landlady did offer me a lift in her car. The property is beautiful but not central

Akhona (10/5): NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING!! - Cherry is not like your normal Host, she's exceptional, she's super nice, she's accommodating, great communication. The place was like home away from home, we're even planning on coming back. It was hard to leave. The gardens are heavenly, there's a book with suggestions so you don't have to spend time thinking about what to do when in George. The place is neat, there's so many towels in the bathroom, there's everything you'll need in the kitchen. Also I love that she trusted us with her place and gave us our space. Cherry YOU DESERVE A MILLION STARS!! Literally nothing, its just perfect.

David (4/5): Disappointing - I was extremely disappointed at check-in. The only request I had made was a ground floor room which was provided. However, I had expected breakfast and was told it was a self-catering accommodation. I asked about breakfast and was led to believe that was doubtful and being able to invite a guest not allowed! My previous stay at Cherry Berry provided a delicious breakfast for me and my roommate and a generous willingness to invite a friend to join us. We ate in the garden and were delighted at the warm welcome, gracious service and beautiful surroundings. Such was NOT my experience this time.

Of course, not a big deal because i was only for a night. A lot of mosquitos as the windows were kept open during the hot day.

We liked the fact that as i was communicating with the owner on my way from the Eastern Cape, they made arrangements that we checked ourselves in.
