• Saba (10/5): Thoughtful hospitality that genuinely made travel easier - We stayed here briefly before taking the early morning Vande Bharat to Srinagar, and the staff made what could have been a stressful transit feel unexpectedly smooth and cared for. Since we had to leave before breakfast hours, the hotel thoughtfully prepared breakfast boxes for us early in the morning, which honestly felt like such a kind gesture when travelling with family. What impressed me even more was how attentive they were toward my elderly parents. My father casually mentioned that the mattress felt a little soft for his back, and I honestly felt awkward even asking if something could be done about it. But the staff handled it so graciously and changed it without making us feel demanding or uncomfortable. They also called us after checkout because I had accidentally left clothes behind in the room, and they even arranged to get them dropped at the railway station before departure. Small things like this completely shape how people remember a place. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and practical for transit stays, but what stayed with me was the feeling that the staff genuinely wanted to help rather than just complete a process. In a world where hospitality can often feel mechanical, that warmth stands out. for a person who seriously likes to give feedback.. this place cannot make me question anything.

• RAJKUMAR (1/5): Not Satisfied - Location is Hotel: Lemon Tree Hotel Jammu Stay: 18–20 February 2026 Rooms: 2 Booking via: Booking.com Rating: 1/5 Review Title: Paid Under Protest – Serious Deficiency of Service & Safety Issues Review Text: I booked two rooms at this hotel expecting branded standards. What I experienced was completely unacceptable and deeply disappointing. The rooms were poorly maintained and unhygienic. There were loose electrical switches coming out of the wall, posing a clear safety hazard. Walls had visible cracks, furniture and mattresses were worn out and sagging, and the sofa was oil-stained and dirty. Bed linen was old and unfit for use. Housekeeping standards were virtually non-existent. The dustbin was extremely dirty, bathrooms were unhygienic, and toilet rolls and tissue boxes were almost exhausted and hanging loose, indicating that the room had not been properly checked before allotment. Food quality was below acceptable standards and inedible. The hotel management, including the GM, personally inspected the room during my stay, acknowledged the issues, and assured refund/compensation. I was compelled to settle the bill UNDER PROTEST, which is endorsed on the invoice, purely to avoid disruption at checkout. Despite assurances, no resolution has been provided post checkout. I am in possession of photographic and video evidence of all the above. This property is not fit for guest occupancy in its current condition and requires urgent renovation, hygiene correction, and strict quality control. I would strongly caution Booking.com users to avoid this property until corrective action is taken.

Additionally, the food featured local delicacies, and I thoroughly enjoyed the authentic flavors. 1.On the downside, the hotel’s location right next to the railway station means that there’s considerable honking and noise throughout the night. While this isn’t directly the hotel’s fault, it’s something to keep in mind when booking a stay. 2. the hotel does not provide any accommodation facilities for drivers. There’s no lounge or resting area where drivers can sleep or freshen up, which can be inconvenient for those traveling with them.

Before allocating a room the hotel maintenance staff should have checked the functionality of the bathroom which was not working and we had to face issue on this front. we therefore argued that charging full amount in USD equivalent is not a good practice for a facility which left much desired. overall the hotel was flexible and discounted the price for the stay for lack of functional bathroom. Before room is allotted check that everything is working in the room , it is not for the customer to tell you what is and what is not working in the room.

At the reception, Lisa, Amit, and Adarsh were amazing. They were polite, always smiling, and super helpful. They even told me about some ongoing offers and made check-in and everything else feel effortless. Little things like that really make a difference. Breakfast was a highlight of the trip. Chef Mana made sure everything was fresh and tasty, and there was a lot of variety to choose from. Saurav took great care of us during breakfast, very attentive without being overbearing. It honestly felt like we were being hosted, not just served. I also want to mention Shaheeina, who keeps the property so clean and welcoming. You can actually see the effort in how spotless and well-maintained everything is. Overall, it was one of those stays where every small thing went right, thanks to these wonderful people. Big thanks to the team for making my visit to Jammu so special!
