- Inez (9/5): Great for what we needed and in a perfect location! - The location of the property was perfect for experiencing Matera and worked well with the other two couples traveling with us who stayed at Lamia Matera 11 (excellent!), which was right next door. Since we just needed an extra bedroom/bathroom, this worked very well for us. The property is managed like a hotel with the office nearby and very accessible staff. The person who checked us in oriented us to the area with maps that made it very easy to explore. The breakfast in the central dining room was outstanding! Very walkable and accessible to the Sasse area of Matera. Ideal location! Fantastic views, gracious people, great restaurants. Highly recommend eating at Madame Giulia’s. The bedroom was a bit dark, but the shower/bathroom was excellent. And the room was very clean.

La camera era grande e accogliente, la colazione buona, parcheggio privato comodo nelle vicinanze e posizione perfetta per visitare Matera. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo ci è sembrato anche molto buono. Il personale è stato molto gentile e accogliente. Viaggiavamo con il nostro cane ed è stato accolto con gran calore. La vista sul sasso Barisano dalla camera era molto bella. Molto consigliato.

It boasts a perfect location with a stunning view of Matera, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city on foot. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful. We especially loved the breakfast—everything was fresh and beautifully presented. Our room fully met 4-star standards, providing all the necessary amenities. It was also very clean and comfortable. It would be great to have mosquito nets on the windows to help air out the room. That is necessary if there's a jacuzzi in the room.

- Isabelle (10/5): Perfect location and experience! - For starters the welcoming staff was exceptional and our room had a splendid view and a private balcony to just chill and take in the view (this was our room selection) so in all our room was more than the pictures made us expect. The staff helped us with reservations for meals and were very proactive. The breakfast was so much more than expected, it was a full size buffet with an enormous selection and service with a smile. Le Origini is very well situated, near the Sassi and easy walk to everything. We were more than delighted with our stay, recommend and will surely return to this hotel. Its conveniently located at the edge of the Sassi and easily walkable to all the sights. Stunning view from the tables outside reception. Excellent breakfast. Perfect place to stay for a wonderful visit. This is not a cave hotel- so if you are looking for that it may not fit your needs. But it is in the Sassi and has parking conveniently located a few blocks away. It was a great location for seeing everything and spending a day hiking.

Lo staff è stato estremamente gentile e disponibile, sempre attento a ogni richiesta. Colazione abbondante e varia, con grande attenzione anche alle intolleranze alimentari, cosa che ho apprezzato tantissimo. La vasca idromassaggio è un valore aggiunto: grande, pulita e molto rilassante. Ottima anche la pulizia generale. Location davvero particolare e suggestiva, e in più la posizione è top: centrale e a pochi minuti dal centro storico. Consigliatissimo!

Avevamo prenotato la suite King ma siccome c'era disponibilità di loro volontà ci hanno assegnato una suite ancora più bella e con la terrazza vista '' Murge di Matera", immersi nella natura. Ringrazio per l'ospitalità. Camera pulita, colazione impeccabile. Letto confortevole e suite silenziosa. Super consigliata! Non vediamo l'ora di tornare!

- Qiyan (10/5): sweet memories - The staff were absolutely wonderful! The girl who met us at the intersection was super cool—I really liked her! Due to limited parking, they even let us park in their storage area. The hotel breakfast was generous and varied, and the orange juice was exceptionally delicious. The room was clean and tidy, and opening the curtains felt like stepping into a fairy tale. I truly loved this quiet, ancient town. Would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit. none

Le petit déjeuner : oeuf, boissons chaudes, jus, spécialités italiennes, et autres délicieux La suite était vraiment belle : le jacuzzi est très grand, un peignoir et des chaussons, un petit bouteille de prosecco offerte, du thé... Tout était vraiment parfait L'emplacement : notre hôte nous a indiqué les rues gratuites où nous pouvions nous garer, ce qui nous a permis de trouver une place gratuite a 5 min du logement, sinon vous pouvez payer 10€/nuit pour vous garer dans leur parking. Ensuite le tour de Matera prend environ 2h30 depuis le logement Le lit très confortable Bref, nous aurions pu y rester 1 semaine ! 😁
