Michael (3/5): I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of my friends! - The staff were courteous and helpful!There wasn't much that I liked so it is difficult to write 2-3 sentences! The breakfast was horrible, tasteless to say the least. I had much better breakfasts than what was served. I didn't bother to go back on the last two days. The heater was not working,it was blowing out cool air while the setting was on heat . The carpet was extremely filthy!

david (7/5): Sub-par Hampton Inn - The staff was super helpful. The hotel is modern and the rooms are spacious. The TV and WiFi worked well. There are restaurants within walking distance. The guest laundry room was out of service. There appeared to be black mold in the shower. There were also black hairs in the shower. Gross. Breakfast was poor, particularly the eggs.
Keith (7/5): Good enough for a one night stay but not exceptional. - The room was clean and comfortable. There were all the accessories you could want in a hotel room which seemed larger than some. There was a king bed and a small sofa which nice. The heating/cooling unit was noisy. I had trouble getting the TV to work and had to call the front desk because the proper remote was missing. The continental breakfast was only fair even though there were plenty of choices.

When I mentioned that he snapped back that he had to confirm our information. That can and should be done discretely. The way he did it was a safety issue.

Brynndalyn (10/5): Very clean, quiet, and comfortable hotel - This is a great hotel! It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and has a lot of options. Parking lot is well lit and safe. The hotel is close enough to the highway to be easily accessible but far enough to be quiet. I will stay here again. Love the virtual check in and virtual key. I was forced to stay at a “budget friendly” place the night before and this was much needed. The most noticeable difference was the quality of the bed and mattress.

hiker017 (10/5): Great hotel - My husband and I, along with three friends, stayed at the Hampton Inn Xenia a couple of weeks ago while cycling the Ohio to Erie Trail. I booked a king room and was delighted to find out how spacious it was. I am not sure if we got an upgrade, but it was way bigger and well laid out than I expected. We are used to the very basic, older Hampton Inns; the Hampton Inns seem to have been renovated since we last stayed in one of these hotels. The front desk staff was great, and the hotel is very nicely decorated. We had breakfast across the street at First Watch and dinner at the nearby Mexican restaurant. This hotel met all of our needs, and we would highly recommend it.

The parking lot had lots of space and felt safe even at night. The breakfast was really good and the pumpkin spice waffles were great.

wtig1 (2/5): Manager indifferent / unresponsive - The service at this hotel is not up to Hampton standards. I agree with other reviews that mentioned issues with hotel management and lack of staffing. The check-in process was slow. The room did not have enough towels & wash cloths. The breakfast options were limited and often ran out and were not refilled (both days of a 2 day stay). The swimming pool was closed without notice because the heater stopped working. I was told the water temp was 78 degrees which is pretty standard but access was denied. The cleaning staff were friendly along with other staff, but the hotel is going downhill because it is not managed properly. The manager was not present. When the staff called the manager, he refused to take my call and pawned off responsibility on an inexperienced staff member. Towels and breakfast and an occasional swim are the basic services of a hotel for which this manager refused to discuss with a repeat customer. From what I could tell as he spoke with the desk staff member, he showed no concern or intention to know the issues whatsoever, and no urgency for solutions or resolution. The front desk worker assured the manager would call me when he returned to the hotel but I never received a call.

Amenities were great, too. Location is close enough to highway for easy access but far enough away to escape traffic noise. Staff was very helpful and facilities are clean. I had a great stay. There are places to eat that are walkable.

AWD1967 (8/5): Great accommodations, poor breakfast - The accommodations were great but the quality and selection of food at breakfast was low which impacted my review. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The front desk staff and cleaning staff were very friendly. The breakfast was a little disorganized with food and drink not being replenished as used unless asked. The all day coffee in the front lobby was often empty or lukewarm. I would highly recommend the hotel if the breakfast was improved.

nkdbrown613 (2/5): Cycling Trip - The hotel is in an excellent location for guest wanting to ride Xenia’s wonderful rails to trails. The very disappointing news is that this Hampton Inn does not measure up to the quality of a Hilton Property chain that we have come to expect at Diamond Members. The room was not cleaned sufficiently. The linens were very worn. The bath towels were extremely thin and limited to only one towel per person. No clean towel available to dry your hair. Mold in the shower area. The breakfast was the worst part of the stay. Options were EXTREMELY limited. Staff kept telling us the food service truck would make a delivery that day. We stayed 3 nights, there was never a food truck delivery. It was so bad we checked out a day early. But I was charged TWICE for the night that we checked out of. So this morning I have spent more than an hour disputing my bill with Hilton Corporate Offices. Thankfully they have taken care of refunding my money. I regret saying we will NEVER return to this Hampton Inn because as I stated in the beginning the location is excellent for cyclists.

J5567ECsusank (4/5): Bad experience - To begin, the hotel is under staffed. One person at the desk most of the time. Often they were outside smoking or sitting in the office with the door closed while people were waiting to check in. The room was large, which is the only reason the hotel received two stars. But the shower was moldy and grout broken. The exhaust fan sounded like a jet taking off as well. The worse part was the breakfasts. Or what there was of breakfast. Fruit was small apples. Other items were in limited supply or nonexistence. Coffee was lukewarm when it was available and they even ran out of coffee cups! We were told they had a hard time finding help. That has become the go to response anymore. We stayed at this Hampton Inn previously so we’re very disappointed and will not return which is unfortunate.

Judy (10/5): Exceptional - Really good I had to paid an extra 20$ just incase I did damage to the room. I never ever did that for any motel I stayed at. I hope I get it back!!!!!!

Denise (8/5): - The room was great! There were 3 of us who stayed in one room and there was ample space for all of us and our stuff. I wish there were more wall hooks for towels, though.

Dawn (8/5): - The hotel was very nice and clean we enjoyed our stay. Our disappointment came at the complimentary breakfast. They had no orange juice! I know it may seem very petty , but when you have spent the past few days traveling, you do seem to get cranky when you're anticipating coffee and orange juice and there is none! I did ask about it, and the answer was, the staff didn’t get it out to thaw the day prior and it was still frozen!! The coffee did hit the spot!
Andy (7/5): Good - The location was PERFECT for the event I was attending at the Greene County Fairgrounds. The facility was very good and the staff was quite friendly. Room service was not that great, unfortunately. I stayed for 5 days and expected service each day. One day, I got no service at all. On other days, wet towels would be taken but not replaced (I had to take them from the unattended cart in the hallway). I reported (twice!) to the front desk that the hair conditioner in the shower was empty, but it was never replaced. I later ran out of shower gel. I had to buy my own at a local grocery store. Lastly, on one occasion, room service left my door ajar(!) after they finished - that's just not acceptable (and yes, I told the front desk). The room door is VERY HEAVY and hard to open and tends not to latch itself upon closing.
