Guest Reviews
- Kim (8/5): - I loved the property. Just a heads up, I didn’t receive and housekeeping. I know on the price listing, it said that you’ll be charged 50$ per day for housekeeping. I don’t know if I was charged the extra 50$ or not, I didn’t check, yet. Other then that I enjoyed my stay.
- Austin (4/5): - Pros: good city location, had new TV, not too expensive
Con: no way they clean the place well after stays, stains all over wall, dirty appliances, only 1 towel for 6 person stay, small fouton had stains all over it... grossest place I have stayed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is in a convenient location (different address than the one that I had received with my reservation confirmation), just a couple of blocks away from public transportation. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby, all at a walking distance. The building looks run down and dirty and there are very steep stairs leading up to the apartment.
This apartment is listed for 7 people (3 Double Beds and 1 Large Twin Sofa Bed) and there were 7 people in our party. The sofa bed was dirty with large stains in different spots and no clean sheets were available. Also, there were only 3 clean large towels and a couple of clean washcloths available. I texted and called the host late that day and I didn't hear back until the following morning so we could not use the sofa bed the first night and we did not have towels for everyone the first night. Host offered a free domino's dinner to compensate for the inconvenience and I asked for a partial refund for the first night instead, because we did not receive the advertised basic service. I haven't received any form of compensation for this. This property is very basic and should not be listed among hotels. It should definitely not be listed for 7 people.
- Sharon (2/5): - Pubs near by. People gathering around and music playing loud until 4am. Owner should states the conditions on web site so people who couldn’t sleep under noisy environment can take this into consideration.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was in a great location, very walkable and interesting part of the city.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - So this place was ok overall. Room was on first floor; given entry codes worked. Inside, roomy and for 3 people, a decent value. However for one solo traveler, overpriced as very worn inside; dusty floors, broken blinds, soft mattress. Amenities as described and all worked and plenty of utensils and cleaning supplies. Just bring your food. Room a few blocks from the SEPTA stop and free parking.
- Lori (8/5): Better than a hotel - It was pretty good but there were nasty blinds on the windows paint peeling on the ceiling plywood for doors on cabinet broken towel racks. Kind of run down but it was spacious and Kevin the cleaning person was very nice
- Verified traveler (4/5): This is a dorm room. Not a quality hotel. - This place shouldn't be on "Hotels.com", because it is a college dorm room. This is overpriced. Everything about this place is much lower than a traditional hotel stay, price and cleanliness. But, I have to say the service is very good. They respond with text. My twelve year old didn't feel comfortable with the living room blanket. We survived, great city.
- Yomari (6/5): Steep stairway, not very clean. Plenty of room. - The sleeping accommodations were great. My issue was that it was not particularly clean. We went to use some cups and they were unclean like they were not washed properly. Considering there is a cleaning fee of $50, I felt this was unacceptable. We were also not advised of the long and steep stairway to get to the top floor and my 64 year old mother who has a bad knee had difficulties walking up. Everything else was ok, but these things marred my visit a bit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I had trouble checking in late, despite my calling a few days before my arrival.
- Rhonda (2/5): - Since there is not a front desk, when we arrived we called. They said that they had messaged me that they ran my credit card earlier in the day and it was declined so they gave the room away, so they say. I never received a message or a text. I had no phone calls missed. We did arrive a few hours later than planned due to traffic. This put us in a bind since it was about 8:00pm and with no place to stay. We did eventually find a place and by the way I used the one and only credit card I have to rent the room interesting enough. Not impressed! Good luck finding parking since this place is literally down town with no drive ways. Only parking I saw was parallel parking. We drove around a few times before pulling into a business parking lot to figure out what we were going to do. I did not see any public parking lots that were close. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- Bonny (10/5): Spacious - Quite a lot of room for the price and close to my daughter at UPenn.
