Cheryl (10/5): Perfection!!! - Everything was exceptional. The bed and bedding was luxe, the historic inn and the property were beautifully maintained and managed and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. I plan on staying at the Harbourside whenever I’m on island. There are premiere eateries nearby and many interesting boutiques and galleries also within walking distance. The management/ and owner was incredibly friendly and available for information and friendly conversation. I enjoyed every aspect of this lovely inn.

Adjacent to Acadia National Park. - Breakfast was quite sufficient -- a buffet of fruit and pastries (blueberry cake both days plus a lemon cake one day). Granola bars/fruit bars were available to take along on hikes and instant oatmeal was an option. Coffee was strong and cream was even provided. A good variety of teas and purified water were available at all times. The staff was very friendly with suggestions on activities, restaurants, and local sites. Nothing we didn't like - it was great!

Susan (10/5): - Great staff; friendly but not intrusive. The morning "grab & go" was plenty and we met several interesting, fun to talk to guests. Two things; there should be "quiet" guest time after 10 p.m. We were kept awake by guests in the common area until midnight ( including some fighting). And a mirror above the desk in our room would have provided space to use the hair dryer for hair styling since there was no outlet in the bathroom or near a mirror 😀 😉

Alison (10/5): The perfect stay! Welcoming, historical, and very comfortable. - The inn was a stunning sight, and the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We were delighted to see freshly baked cookies upon our arrival. Every morning, I eagerly awaited the coffee and fresh-baked blueberry muffins for breakfast, among other things, which were a delightful start to my day. The hotel’s rich history was evident in its captivating decorations and the inviting atmosphere downstairs. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the surroundings, meeting fellow guests, and immersing myself in the ambiance. The bed was incredibly comfortable, allowing me to relax and unwind in my room. I found solace by the window, engrossed in my book. The room exuded a historical and cozy charm, creating the perfect setting to unwind after a long day. My husband and I are already planning our return visit whenever we find ourselves in the area. If we could, we would gladly give this inn more than 5 stars! For anybody who likes cat, there is a cat that is very friendly and purr like a motor boat that hangs outside by the breakfast nook!

Room was immaculate, bed very comfortable and a nice little breakfast selection for the morning. Easy check in and some lovely outdoor seating with fire pits. It is possible to walk to Northeast harbour.

L. (8/5): Secluded stay in Northeast Harbor - Surrounded by lovely woods. Homemade blueberry muffins and fruit for breakfast. On a quiet side of the island. Floors were creaky, though guests were respectful and tried to keep noise down. Limited choice for restaurant dining in the off season.

William (8/5): The day managers we met were polite and helpful. Its a terrific place close to main attractions! - It’s a grand old Colonial house from days gone by in the high life of Mt Desert! It reminded me of my grandmothers mansion with many rooms. And quiet too! Each window had view of spruce and birch forest and a glimpse of the harbour. The breakfast seemed more like Covid times and was very limited for anyone planning an active day visiting the Island. There is space to restore some small breakfast tables for two in the main room and ante-room to provide a feeling of having a breakfast. Instead only chairs were provided. The catered coffee was excellent.

It was great having a fireplace in the room The breakfast lacked a simple protein like hard boiled eggs or yogurt. For the price that should be included. Although beautiful the bed in our room was jammed so close to the wall that my partner had to climb over me to get in. There was no bedside table on one side

Sarah (10/5): - A friendly, family run inn. Very typical of old Maine style with cute wallpaper, wood floors, and old Maine charm. If you are looking for modern luxury this isn’t for you. However, if you want a lovely inn with a ton of charm and a great price on the island, then you won’t find better than the Harbourside. The bedroom was big with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linens. It’s an easy walk to Northeast Harbor with excellent shopping and restaurants.

Lia (10/5): Exceeded expectations in every way - The inn is wonderful all around. The room was very big, everything was so clean, the kitchen was very well stocked with utensils so we could use it fully. The bed was also very comfortable. The inn provides so many amenities like printing for your park passes, bug spray, beach towels. The included breakfast is light but the fresh fruit was of great quality, and the granola bars were excellent to take for later. Their free tea and coffee were also great. There is plenty of parking, the staff was also super responsive at all times and had great recommendations. The inn is also beautifully decorated, the nature is outside is really well kept. The inn also has an outside barbecue which was great and super clean, with all necessary utensils. If I had to find anything I didn't like, I'd say the shower was a bit hard to use without splashing water on the walls. The bathroom could have also used an additional hanger or two for towels, toiletry bags, or clothes.

Comfortable with everything we needed including a kitchenette and claw tub w shower. Great location away from the tourists, yet 15 minutes or so to Bar Harbor and Jordan Pond. Easy walk to the marina and restaurants in NE Harbour. Nature trails from the Inn. Homemade banana bread and kind bars, granola bars and fruit for a light breakfast. The hosts were helpful, kind and the cat, Princess, greeted us outside by one of the trails. Highly recommend. We would come back.

Not a cooked breakfast, but perfect before you head out to explore. The room was enormous and homey. We felt great coming home to this inn. The common rooms were lovely too. And all of the guests were delightful to talk to! The bonfire in the back yard was fun too.

Rocheter_NYer (7/5): Nice place - It is a quaint place. The bath was old fashion but had good hot water, nice soaps and worked well. Coffee was good and early. Breakfast was just a bite to get you going in the morning: baked muffins, snack bars and instant oatmeal packs. Plenty of hot water with variety tea throughout the day and evening. Decorations were very nice. Given it's age it is understandable why there is a continuous wet smell throughout the place. Hard to get rid off.

Frank (9/5): Quiet , Nice Locstion, unique Bed and Breskfast - This is a B&B. We had the third floor room . Quiet. Great scenery around the facility. Nice wood collar fireplace at night to relax. It was a pleasant B&B Our room was on the third floor with no elevator. “Michael” carried our luggage up for us but I handled the luggage leaving. This is an old facility so the bathroom is old and little room. Both of these should be explained in the direction . These two items did not hurt our stay. We did enjoy.
Ellen (10/5): Amazing place, would definitely stay here again! - Beautiful place, it was so charming and cozy! The staff and other guests were so friendly and helpful. We loved the grab-and-go breakfast that we could hit on our way out to a hike, and the fire pit out back was a great spot to relax and meet new people in the evenings. Our room got a bit hot during the day from the sun shining in through the windows since there was no AC, but our lace curtains were nice because they blocked the direct sun while still letting a lot of light in.

Abigail (10/5): - I cannot recommend Harbourside Inn enough! It’s on Northeast Harbor, which is absolutely stunning. We were minutes away from multiple mountains in the National Acadia Park and some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The inn’s parking lot was full our entire stay, but other than the occasional friendly guest encounter at the breakfast porch (which is so cute) we had no idea! Our room had a private bathroom and the room was absolutely precious. The Inn has an incredible charm and we were smitten with it.

Heather (10/5): The Harbourside Inn was a charming, comfy place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park! - The Harbourside Inn was located in the Northeast Harbor, a quiet place away from the busyness of Bar Harbor. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the Inn itself was comforting, charming, and clean. The light breakfast was a wonderful way to start each day, and the fruit was outstandingly fresh! The key to the room was a skeleton key, probably because the building is so old, but I will say that it made it very difficult to lock and unlock the door. They did have a door stop mechanism for extra security, but it was just a small nuisance. If this is what we are complaining about, it must have been a great stay!
