• Azriel (10/5): - This is my second stay at Plakan Resort, and once again, I am truly impressed. One of the highlights of this hotel is the in-house museum, which adds a unique and memorable touch to the experience. The staff are exceptional—the busboy in particular stood out for his genuine kindness and warm demeanor every time I passed by. The reception team is equally polite and welcoming, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. During my first stay, I booked a superior room, which was spacious, comfortable, and thoroughly enjoyable. I was so impressed that I decided to return for the Songkran holiday and upgrade to a river-view suite—and it exceeded all expectations. The suite is simply incredible. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a coffee bar near the entrance. It features a large living room overlooking the river, a spacious bedroom, two toilets, two refrigerators, and an impressive bathroom. And yes—three balconies, each offering a beautiful perspective of the surroundings. It truly feels like a little slice of heaven in Kanchanaburi. The restaurant also deserves special mention. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is outstanding, making every meal a pleasure. Staying here, it’s clear that the owner takes great pride in the property. That pride reflects in the attention to detail, the high standards, and the genuine care shown by the staff throughout the hotel. I highly recommend Plakan Resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and beautiful getaway. I was truly sad to leave, but I’m already looking forward to returning in the near future.

• Hans (8/5): - Godkänd. Ibland ingen buffe pga lite folk. Ingen möjlighet att låna cykel eller hyra vespa. Hotellet ligger avsides. Transportmedel är önskvärt om man vill se sig omkring och äta någona annanstans än på hotellet.
• Blaine (10/5): Clean, Clean Clean, great value, great staff. - Extremely well maintained and appointed facility. My wife is a fanatic about cleanliness and they passed with flying colors. Extras like a pod style coffee maker and even a bathroom scale. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection and the staff were very polite and helpful. Khun Wei in the restaurant was exceptional. Great value for money, easy to find and a nice parking lot. We were initially concerned that it was close to the main road and it would be noisy but we never heard anything at night. The rooms had very good curtains so there was no light early in the morning. I really don't have anything that I didn't like but if I really want to nit pick I did find the WiFi to be a bit sporatic.

• Kooptaporn (9/5): we are very happy and enjoy to stay at plakan resort, relaxing place. - the room and surrounding areas are nice and clean. the breakfast have varieties of choice, all are good. dinner also delicious. all staff are cheerful, bus boys are very gentle and helpful. many nice spots for photo shots. bacon is a bit hard, may be over cooked. coffee is not fresh ground-coffee.

I was very happy with my stay. There is only one thing to disliked and needs to be mentioned. The property is next to a main highway. The noise level is high and distracting. Otherwise, my stay was perfect.

In terms of doneness, I ordered steamed fish - it came out dry and fishy, not juicy, not fresh; a soft-boiled egg served completely cold and 99% of the egg inside was still raw! Etc. Despite having only 2 of us in the restaurant, coffee which was obviously made with automated coffee machine kept us wait for quite a while; the staff spent too much time prep. The coffee itself was seriously tasteless. What a disappointing breakfast! In-room slippers were used and not cleaned. Funny that they found two clothes hangers were lost when we checked out and thought we stole them! Goodness.

• Anna (8/5): Lovely Out of Town Resort - The resort was beautifully set out and very welcoming. Lovely pool area and garden to the riverside. Large selection for breakfast. The room was very comfortable and spacious for relaxing in. Almost no vegetarian options and no option to adapt things to be vegetarian. Only one chair on each balcony so you could not sit out together which was rather strange. The resort is the other end of town (15-20 min drive) from most tourist related things incl. restaurants and cafes.

• Sangkae (10/5): - This was such a pleasant stay. This was our second time around staying at Plakan. Everyone was always nice, helpful, and friendly. Definitely will stay there again in the future. Again, might not be that easy for those who doesn’t have a transportation, but the location isn’t too far from downtown.

The room was filled with good amenities with large space. The location might not be convenient for those without a car, but rather than that it’s a great hotel. Probably best for those who want quietness and peace. It would great for couples and families. Decoration is very cute with authentic old Thai stuff which makes you feel a lil nostalgic. Love it and will definitely stay there again.

The room, the pool, the dining area were all well kept and lovely. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Best suited to visitors with a car but would be only a short taxi ride to the bridge/main attractions if need be. Would highly recommend.
