• Mirjam Kardol (8/5): Prachtige appartement bij de boulevard. - Locatie. Let op ingang aan de weg met palmbomen. Heerlijk park voor de deur en de zee natuurlijk. Hoog plafond. Slaapkamer kijkt uit op het park en de zee. Genoeg hoofdkussens. Op loop afstand van het station. Let op in appartement gebouw wel een aantal treden naar het appartement. Je zit op de begane grond maar die begint na een aantal treden. Dat is ook prima te doen. Vaatwasser ging stuk helaas. Gebruiksaanwijzing was en droog combinatie. Scherp mes in de keuken ontbrak.

Ci sono delle manutenzioni ancora da fare, tipo sistemare le prese che si staccano dal muro. Il pavimento della casa è in pendenza e anche tutti gli scarichi ne risentono

• Dalla Valle (9/5): Gioiellino di pace in centro storico - La posizione ottima e l'appartamento molto spazioso e tranquillo. Ottima la pulizia. Praticamente all'inizio del centro storico. Purtroppo a La Spezia è un delirio parcheggiare e sulle prime è stato molto difficile capire dove sostare per arrivare all'appartamento (che è all'inizio di una ZTL). Poi ti accorgi che a breve distanza c'è il parcheggio Europa e che di notte c'è meno caos e puoi lasciare la macchina con più facilità. L'appartamento è ben servito e il centro si gira tranquillamente a piedi.

• ChaCR (7/5): My stay was okay overall, but the apartment wasn’t very clean and some things didn’t work properly. - Very nice place! You’re so close to everything — restaurants, the train station, shopping, or just a nice walk along the promenade. Theo was very helpful as well. For this rate, I was expecting the place to be cleaner and that everything would work properly. The closet wasn’t doing its job — I actually fixed it myself because I needed it to work (well, it’s IKEA furniture, so you know what that means). The same with the shower — you have to hold it in your hand, otherwise the whole place gets wet : ) I’m in my 50s and have traveled a lot, including one and a half years around the world, so I’ve seen many places. If you’re expecting to feel like a king, this is not the place. It’s just not perfect — not so clean, not so well maintained. However, for a couple of days it’s okay. Please also fix the TV wall mount before the TV falls down someday, and maybe change the batteries too ; )

• Laurel (9/5): Lovely apartment near the harbour - The location was amazing. Being so close to the harbour, to the restaurants, within walking distance of the train station and accessibility to Cinque Terre were all positive features. Teo, our host, was very proactive on his communication and responses. He guided us closely through the process of navigating the ZTL and locating nearby parking. Teo met us at the apartment and did a very helpful walk through. The apartment was well appointed. We appreciated the dishwasher and washing machine. The difficulty of gaining access to the apartment, and then finding parking was challenging, as the apartment is located within the ZTL. Google Maps didn't pick up the street address correctly and directed us to a Cafe near the harbour (almost directly across from the apartment address) (this was outside anyone's control).

• Nadine (8/5): À recommander - J’ai passé 4 nuits avec mes 3 adolescents dans cet appartement et nous avons adoré. C’est l’endroit idéal pour découvrir les 5 Terre (15 minutes à pied jusqu’à la gare). Il y a quelques places de stationnement gratuites juste en face et qu’on peut dénicher avec un peu de chance (surtout tard le soir) Il y a par moments pas mal de bruit dans la rue, surtout en soirée pendant le weekend.
• Shahim (9/5): Appartement propre et calme, avec nombreux restaurants à proximité, pratique pour visiter les Cinque Terre. - Appartement bien situé dans un quartier calme et à quelques pas de la zone piétonne où il y a une multitude de restaurants. La gare de La Spezia Centrale est à 20 minutes à pied. L’appartement est au rez de chaussée de l’immeuble.

• LUDOVIC (1/5): LOCATION PATHÉTIQUE !!! - L’emplacement, encore qu’il est situé en ZTL et que nous n’étions pas informés, que décharger les bagages n’est donc pas possible au pied de l’immeuble, et qu’à LA SPEZIA les places de parking libres sont rares, surtout quand vous arrivez en début de soirée. Quasi tout ! Tout d’abord, il n’y a pas d’accueil physique, tout se passe en whatsapp le jour de l’arrivée et un virement de règlement est demandé sur un lien sumup ! Ensuite, les photos du site sont trompeuses, la réalité est bien en-dessous de ce qui est présenté sur le site, soit les photos ont été « photoshopées », soit elles datent. L’appartement n’est pas propre et pas entretenu. De plus, c’est une sorte de RDC surélevé donc pas de vue sur la mer. Nous concernant, nous avions choisi cet appartement car il avait un lave-linges (séjour de 3 nuit 2 adultes + 2 enfants). Certes, il est bien présent mais ne fonctionne pas. En effet, dès que le brancher, il fait disjoncter tout l’appartement, et vu l’état de saleté dessus la machine à laver et derrière, cela doit faire un moment qu’il ne marche pas. Concernant ce point précis, après avoir demander un dédommagement à la propriétaire, elle nous a proposé 50,00 € en échange d’un commentaire positif sur le site, quelle indignité ! Le pompon est que la douche était bouchée et après maintes relances, finalement quelqu’un est venu le dernier jour de notre séjour en notre absence sans qu’on en soit informé et a retiré une sorte d’emballage en plastique du siphon de la douche, et c’était presque de notre faute ! Enfin, la dame et son fils certainement qui sont venus faire le ménage à notre départ étaient bien présents et ont sonnés à 9h50 alors que le départ était prévu à 10h, pas le droit à 1 minutes de dépassement … ils étaient prêts à commencer le ménage alors qu’on était encore dans l appartement, pathétique … Cela fait des années que nous venons régulièrement à La Spezia via BOOKING, nous n’avons jamais eu de souci de cette sorte. À ce jour, pour terminer, je n’arrive pas à obtenir la facture de mon séjour !

Couldn’t get a taxi at 5.45am anywhere close to accommodation, we ended up walking to train station 🥵. Apartment air conditioner in top bedroom was extremely loud, no tea towels and not enough spoons etc. Pots had lids with no handles and could have had a microwave.

• Myrany (8/5): Loved La Spezia. - Location was perfect. The later checkout was much appreciated. The apartment needs a lot of work done on it, looks very tired. There was no instruction sheet, hot water was unreliable and needed regular rebooting. The products provided were inadequate and not of an expected standard. Attention to this would make the apartment infinitely more appealing. Generally disappointing for the tariff charged.

• Beau (6/5): As per above; the communication was terrible and the payment process was quite dodgy given that it wasn’t directly throu - The size of the property was as per advised on booking.com On the day of arrival i found it difficult to contact the property and arrange for access requirements/ entry instructions. On the booking.com app it advised that payment would be made on the day, so I assumed there may have been an reception area or lobby to make payment. I attempted to contacted the property on several occasions to communicate and confirm number of people/ accommodation details - however was unsuccessful. Only as I was due to check in on the day did I get sent a link to confirm payment. This link was sent through booking.com message - and the amount due for payment was more than 6 times the amount as agreed. Furthermore, we would not be issued the code until payment was made. It was a little concerning given that we weren’t allowed entry or code instructions until full payment of this said “amount” that was 6 times more than as advertised. However I had made an initial deposit booking. It was then that I requested the code and I was advised not till payment was made - I was then issued another link to a payment app (which I thought all payments are through booking.com), which was the correct amount as agreed. I paid this and was given the code. In my opinion, this information or process could have been explained to me a couple days leading up to the stay, rather than whilst our group was waiting at the door (in the rain). In my opinion I believe the communication was quite was extremely poor and the whole process of payment/ code could have been explained better. I tried contacting the booking.com representative via messages on booking.com app, via advertised phone number, and via their personal email. All with nil response. This is not great for travellers.
• Eric (10/5): Comfortable modern apartment - The location was great and the apartment was comfortable. Close to many restaurants and bars, and a park across the street. Pretty close to the train station for the Cinque Terre Express. It had only 1 bathroom, but I knew this when booking. Finding a 2 bedroom with 2 baths in this location seemed impossible.

• Daniel (1/5): Very disappointing, felt very cheated! - near the waterfront and restaurants The property is disgusting! The entire property slants from the windows down to the back of the kitchen, the air-conditioning in the master bedroom leaks ALOT the water pooled all over the bedroom floorboards which you can see have mass water damage and are warped. The property smells of cigarette smoke, the powerpoints we’re coming off the wall and switches either didn’t work or fell into the wall and wires were held together with electrical tape to cover exposed wiring. The “clean towels” had hair in them, the bathroom smelt of stale water, the shower head couldn’t stay vertical so just trickled water against the wall & the shower drain didn’t work it simply back-flowed with dirty water so you couldn’t actually shower! The pictures are completely misleading of the property!!

• Benjamin (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great. Pictures online deceive the quality of the house. Lots of trim work needed on walls, replacing the kitchen sink would be easy fix. Back splash in bathroom where counter meets wall, instead of large gap filled with silicone. All floors are slanted inward towards kitchen, makes for awkward feeling in the house. Living room/kitchen has too many hard surfaces. Reminds me of college dorm or house.

• Gc33 (8/5): Close to waterfront and to city. - Fabulous location and very spacious. Direct access to waterfront walks with views across the bay. Easy walk into the historic centre, to the market and the major attractions. Also, easy access to buses to Portovenere and Lerici. Very good value and comfortable. Would benefit from written instructions on internet access, heating, waste disposal, etc. We worked things out, but others might not know how.

• Marina (7/5): Nice apartment in a lovely part of town - near the harbour and easy walk to shops and restaurants. - Location was really great. Property was clean and very centrally located. The air conditioning was leaking and we had to collect water in a pan and clear it daily. The dripping of the water made it difficult to sleep. The host did send someone along but they said it couldn't be fixed due to the condensation due to heat.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Do not rent this property - We are very unsatisfied with this property: 1. the manager did not check messages, we waited for more than 30 minutes for her to meet us and open the door for us. 2. the kitchen ware was not cleaned. there is old stale water (not sure how long it has been there) in the coffee maker. 3. the actual views are not what advertised on the website. There is no water front view. The unit is on the first floor. windows are closed, not easy to open. 4. we can't use the keys provided to open the unit for more than one hour. The manager lives more than 30 minutes away. She is not very responsive to the issue and can't help with living so far away 5. Owner is very rude. He is yelling at us on the phone and even threatening us that he will call police when we were discussing cleaning fee. 6. on the reservation confirmation, there is no cleaning charge mentioned. but owner insisted in charging us cleaning fee even the kitchen ware are very dirty and unit is not very clean. 7. Kitchen/living area is cold. there is a heater but the heat does not heat up the whole area 8. one part of electric does not work in one of the room.
• Thomas (6/5): - Location and size were great. Just across the park to Cinque Terre ferries. After traveling for two weeks we loved the washing machine and the dishwasher. However the general condition of the condo is tired and dirty. Needs thorogh cleaning and maintenance. Looks like a perfect place for backpackers.
