• Vanessza (7/5): Cleanliness and great views but not the best customer service - The view, the access to hot water at all times, the room itself, cleanliness. The staff: lack of professionalism and not much awareness of customer care. The staff at reception and the cleaners communicated with each other by shouting most of the time from floor to floor , which could be clearly heard on the first floor in the room. It happened a couple of times that I had to yell at the reception staff from the first floor to stop their loud discussions in the middle of the night.

• Chunden (5/5): Think twice. - The location. Since the stay was brief, the service was good but the receptionist was a bit rude and cared less about the approach made to them. It's a big Negative as far as dealing with guests is concerned since it's a hospitality ground.

The location, the facilities and the view we had from our room, and not to mention the delicious food they serve! 😄 We extended our stay here because we were so happy with the service. I would like to convey my special thanks to the staff, they are all so kind, professional and helpful. They always made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for this amazing experience, would definitely visit again 💓 No complaints 😃

The view is great but it is one km away from the main avenue Mg Marg. However, I never felt unsafe walking to and back, even at night.

Plutôt bien situé malgré la pente rude pour aller jusqu'à MG Marg. Bon rapport qualité/prix. Les chambres sur la route sont très bruyantes surtout quand les chiens aboient presque toute la nuit, même si l'hôtel n'y peut pas grand chose mis à part revoir l'isolation des fenêtres.

• Samar (9/5): Highly recommend for female solo travellers - Nettle & Fern is an excellent hotel with an in-house restaurant. It is centrally located in a quiet area and a 25 minute walk from MG Marg. There is a taxi stand right outside and a cafe next door. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy; breakfast was basic but good. The staff are courteous, kind and helpful, especially Dhiren, Rishi and Binod. Rooms could do with proper dusting. Food quality at the restaurant must be improved.

Staff were very kind and helpful! Breakfast buffet was really good too - coffee/tea, omelette, toast, and Indian breakfast options too! We were here during Diwali and the hotel staff involved us in the celebrations and made for an extra special stay. Thanks! The bed was a little hard.

The food was good as well. Staffs were helpful. A few things that I did not like: The wifi network was slower than my mobile network. Had to call two three times to order food as the Restaurant never picked up. Most of the plug points did not work. The hair dryer did not work as well.

Best of all, the view from the mountain facing room was awesome. We could see Gangtok city on one side and the clouds beneath the faraway mountain. Awesome views. in day and night too! It is located at the end of a steep sloping road which is difficult to walk up.

Restaurant ambience and food quality is great. Bakery shop is wonderful. Breakfast spread though limited but was sufficient. Bathroom, though small but with nice Fitting and workability. Bed linen quality needs to improve.

Special Thanks to Mr. Bishal Gurung for all his help and inputs towards planning of trip and arranging for good travel support. We stayed in suite room with exceptional mountain / valley view. Room decor, space and everything else was perfect. Bathroom, bit small but with modern Fittings and everything working perfectly and nice warm water. Food in the restaurant is very good, Breakfast though may be a small spread is sufficient and very well prepared. Stuff of their bakery shop is so delicious. All other team members like Ms. Begin a, Mr. Dhiren and entire team is always smiling & welcoming. Overall a great experience. Nothing specific, though I feel their is a small scope of improving bed linens.

• Shruti (8/5): The stay was comfortable… for the price charged, the breakfast is sufficient… - The property was located close to MG Road, so walking to MG Road was possible, you can also take shared cabs for Rs. 20 per person. Valley facing rooms are fantastic… we stayed in the family suit Though the bathrooms were neat and clean with hot water facility it was too small… the hotel becomes noisy if there is a large group and and rooms are not very sound proof that way…
