- B (2/5): Never managed to check in - We have advised the hotel about our late arrival however they didn’t respond to my email. On the day of the travel I have tried to phone the hotel but the staff was lack of good English so they hanged up the phone on me even if I tried to inform them about our late check in. Expedia staff members tried to inform them via email but with no luck. We arrived to Rome to the hotel address and no one let us in, after 3 hours of waiting outside of the place and trying to get someone to pick up the phone someone finally picked it up from the hotel staff(11.00pm!) and informed us that we can’t get in as we arrived late.. Never managed to spend the planned night in this place and they still charged my card. Extremely disappointed with their service.
- Michael (6/5): Bed&Breakfast Unterkunft sehr Zentral - Unterkunft ist sehr Zentral (50 Meter zur Metro und ca. 500 Meter zum Petersplatz/Petersdom bzw. Vatikanmuseum). Das ist auch schon das positive. Besitzer kann kein Englisch oder eine andere Sprache => nur Italienisch. Das Zimmer war sehr staubig/dreckig und die Klimaanlage (über 30 Grad Außentemperatur) ging, wenn sie Lust hatte. In der Dusche waren die Armaturen nicht richtig befestigt, bei der Dusche fehlte die 2. Glasscheibe (=> halbes Bad stand immer unter Wasser) dadurch auch Schimmel!! und der Toilettendeckel war nicht richtig befestigt (trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage). Zum Frühstück gab es Zwieback, ein Croissant und Kaffee mit Saft. Aufpassen muss man mit der Adresse. Diese stimmt zwar, aber es ist im Gebäude ein Hotel. Man muss vorher versuchen die Nummer anzurufen (hat leider nur über Expedia funktioniert, da bei uns nur der AB dran ging), da das Zimmer innerhalb der Hotelkomplexes ist (es sind mehrerer B&B Wohnungen in diesem Haus).
- Sharry (6/5): Not as expected, but Ok. - Since there is no reception, one has to call the booking responsible at arrival. A woman will then let you in and give you keys and such. The problem is she doesn't speak english at all, which is quite frustrating! We were close to giving up. The standard is not as it seems in the pictures, but ok. You get used to it over time, and ignore it completally as you will spending much of your time in the beautiful city! The aircondition didn't work properly in our room, pillows and sheets clean, but duvet somewhat stained so we found another cover for that. Breakfast is simple: capuccino, juice, rusk and a bun.
