- David (9/5): Great stay - All the staff were fantastic. Cheerful and welcoming.
Breakfasts were excellent.
Our arranged celebration meal was very good Location is great with nice walks around

- John (10/5): -
- Susan (10/5): Really well impressed at facilities, spa, restaurant and beautiful room. - Beautiful view from our room “Mallard” suite.
The Spa was really good. Probably best to be in a hire car, although there seemed to be a busy bus route on the main road. We used taxis.
- David (8/5): Satisfactory - Clean and modern with great location Room service doesn’t work when they have a function on and not enough attention to breakfast items running out
- Rob (10/5): We stayed for the Isle of Wight takeover car show and was a great location for everything we needed and facilities were - The spa facility was amazing

- Barry (9/5): Very enjoyable with caring helpful staff. - Good location & view of the lake when the water was in. Light to left of bathroom mirror intermittently switches off.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Lise (10/5): Bliss - Clean friendly outstanding breakfast and dinner Nothing
- John (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyable. All staff were very pleasant, helpf - Location excellent in the brasserie. It would have been nice to have a better choice of fruit and cereals eg decent grenola
- Wendy (9/5): Lovely one night stay with spa. Everything was great. No complaints. - Good size room with good facilities. Spa was great. No fridge.
- Kyia (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - Location and views from the lakeside rooms were excellent The range of breakfast offerings wasn't as extensive as it should be for this quality of hotel.
- Lisa (3/5): Overpriced for a dated hotel - It was out dated and in need of a refurbishment. Rooms were dark and dingy and there was a constant noise of the bathroom plumbing
- David (10/5): Staff super helpful, luxury room and great spa - Great location for a race on the Thursday and a ride around the island on Friday
- James (3/5): Overwhelmingly disappointed - It was a nice location and had nice grounds. We asked for something at reception that they said they would deliver to our room and never did, and then we couldn't get hold of a receptionist.
We got charged more than advertised for going to the spa do be warned. The changing rooms in the spa are vile, and covered in mould with the silicone that looks like it's been done by a child. The spa is also busy and small so only enough room for one couple in the jacuzzis.
The breakfast was nice, but the toaster just doesn't work, standing there for an age, and then a lack of breakfast options which was disappointing.
A really disappointing visit when I paid a lot more for a room then I normally would as a nice treat.

- 296mandyp (10/5): Excellent relaxing stay - Lovely one night stay. Room was spotless. Lovely soft towels and robes. Had afternoon tea which was fantastic..cakes were delicious and so many of them!! Used the Spa for a treatment. Jackie was wonderful, made me feel really relaxed and welcoming. Ate in the restaurant. Food was excellent and the staff really attentive. Cocktail was top notch too!! Would definitely stay again and plan to eat there again very soon.
- Gurmeet (8/5): Lovely hotel and beautiful peaceful location. Not too far from Ryde and easy to get a bus in. The - Breakfast was good but could be improved. Better fruit selection and bread selection. Everyone very helpful. Everything was good.
- E1612DCchristas (8/5): Friendly service and staff that go the extra mile. - A warm welcomed awaited us when we arrived at LSP Hotel and Spa. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough to make sure we had what we needed. The team were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.
The only downside was that we felt the hotel was quite tired and many of the communal areas need renewing. Chipped paintwork, tired decking and broken lockers in the spa.
This however isn’t enough to put us off returning again.
- Lisa (10/5): Excellent - Breakfast was good and it was in a good location for visiting various places on the Island Nothing
- Viet (7/5): - Great view and scenery! Very helpful staff and massage was relaxing. The hotel is dated and needs renovation, especially the spa section to improve hygiene
- Kathleen (9/5): - The excellent staff. The spa was good. The view over the lake was nice when the water was there. The duvets were too thick for the time of year.
There needs to be a shallower sloping path to the lake for wheelchairs. It would also be easier if the path went all the way around the hotel.
- Alexandra (9/5): -
- Maryam (4/5): Overall, the great location was overshadowed by poor cleanliness, inadequate housekeeping. - The location of the hotel was very good, with a relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant environment. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and housekeeping.
There were two cups in the room for tea or instant coffee, along with a kettle, but both cups were very dirty and covered in dust. I’m not sure when they were last washed. There were also two bottles of water that were supposed to be provided on the first day, but one of them was already opened and half used.
Housekeeping was poor overall. They didn’t change the towels even though we left them on the floor. On the second day, they only left a few shampoos and conditioners, with no proper cleaning done.
Breakfast was also disappointing. There was only one English breakfast option, and there was no cheese available on the menu at all.
- Cynthia (8/5): Overrall 100% - all bed was small next time i will book a bigger bed
- Colin (8/5): Excellent value, staff and facilities. - This last minute stay exceeded expectations. We erred away from an air bnb in preference for a potentially more luxurious stay and spa facilities for the same price, and were not disappointed. As a bonus, a very good and varied breakfast was included. Both the room and spa condition and facilities were better than expected for this price range and location. And all of the staff we encountered were professional and super-friendly. The only very mild disappointment was the lake, which (and I'm not sure if it is tidal and just called a lake) was half empty and lacking the expected visual appeal. But I'm sure on a good day it is lovely to look out on from the restaurant. As we hadn't paid the the lake view, this in no way detracted from a really excellent break, exploring the island by car, on foot and by bike.
- James (4/5): - Nothing Staff were very, very unhelpful
- Genti (10/5): -
- Watson (8/5): Overall very good value thank you - Spa and Room were great but the bed was a bit small we are accustomed to King Size sorry !
Very nice stay- very friendly staff excellent breakfast very nice Spa experience thank you Rooms were a bit stuffy couldn't open the windows
Bed a bit small for us sorry we are accustomed to kings size bed ?

- Cenk (10/5): -
- louise (10/5): Beautiful restful and relaxing. - It’s just lovely at last to enjoy a restful stay like we have done in the past. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly we couldn’t fault anything. Nothing
- Donna (5/5): - cleanliness- coffee cup at breakfast had lipstick on it
- Francesca (6/5): - For the price it is just an ok hotel. It is lovely well maintained, great location and amazing lake views, but we would have expected a bit more. Small things, for example there is no fridge in the room which was a problem for us and something that should have come as standard in such a category of hotel. No water provided in the room and not easy to acquire as the bar was quite far from the room and closed early. So come prepared but there is no way to keep it cool (or if you have medicine to keep cool). We came for the spa but only used it once. Now if you come with young children it is perfect as spa facilities (which are of good standards) and swimming pool are all in the same space so you can indulge whilst keeping an eye on your splashing kids. But if you go as an adult or couple it is not the most of relaxing places as you’ll have deal with kids having (lots of) fun in the pool running around you. Also very few recliners. The hotel wasn’t busy and we still couldn’t get any. Room was nice, comfy bed and nice bathroom and decent quality amenities (would suggest wall mounted shower gel and shampoo to further cut plastics). All in all it was ok so my review is relative to the price paid. No fridge or water easily available which for such property was a bit baffling for us. Spa good if you go with kids, also closes early at 7pm.
- Rhydderch (10/5): -
- Caroline (4/5): Slightly disappointed with property. - Staff were lovely Beds very uncomfortable and small, bath taps didn’t work, reported and still weren’t fixed. Told there was an EV charger when there wasn’t one. Hotel management very unhelpful when we tried to change the dates with 5 days notice. Very overpriced for type of hotel. Staff were lovely though.
- ROXXANNE (7/5): Ok stay - Spa was good with hot sauna. Staff member in the spa was friendly and helpful, while front reception .. ok with just doing her job! Didn’t feel approachable as spa staff. Nothing i didn’t like but…..Generally the furniture including doors looked tired and could do with replacing or refurbishing. £300+ for night was not great value for money! We paid 1/4 that in village hotel and had far batter experience there! Better breakfast by far in village hotel in Bournemouth with better quality selection of food with some organic products and better bread. Just a suggestion to take a look at the huge selection and quality they had!
- Matthew (10/5): Great property, great facilities, very friendly staff! - Friendly staff, good food, good spa facilities, good location with a public bridle way next to it which we went for a run down to the old railway. We will be coming back. There is no gym facilities in the spa, but this was not a true negative as we were just able to relax.
- Molly (10/5): -
- Charman (10/5): -
- Sterk (10/5): Lakeside hotel has perfect staff, view, comfort, food. All you need! - Everything about this hotel Nothing
- Kenise (9/5): Good choice - The spa was really good, breakfast was excellent and the staff was really nice .
- Olu (5/5): I won’t use it again. - The spa facilities and the food at the restaurants Dated, no usb/ c charging points, cob webs in the room and the property is very dated
- Claire (6/5): It was ok for a short stay but didn’t feel like a spa experience at all. - The lake was nice to look at. The lady who done a massage was very good too and the staff were very friendly. The lights in our room flickered and there was a leak in the air con which must have been there a while as it stained the ceiling. Adults were allowed to drink alcohol in the hot tubs in front of kids. My daughter was very uncomfortable and we left and didn’t go back all holiday because it made her nervous. The breakfast didn’t really match a spa hotel either.
- Dinesh (8/5): Brilliant location and great rooms - Great location ! Breakfast could have been better
- Sima (7/5): Apart from few things my daughter & I loved our stay in Isle of Wightand would definitely return to the lakeside. - Convenient location, beautiful lake & grounds. Lovely spa & friendly reception & staff. Little aged , curtains fraying and not closing properly. Bed little too soft for liking.
Limited times for kids to use pool facility. Which was a downside esp as solo parent traveling who then couldn’t use facilities.
- Nadia (8/5): - Location Breakfast menu
- DaveB186338 (4/5): Disappointing Stay with Poor Service and Accessibility Awareness - **Star Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5)**
I stayed at Lakeside Park Hotel recently and unfortunately had a very mixed experience, with some positive resolution from management but significant issues around service, accessibility, and overall guest experience.
**Breakfast Experience**
Breakfast was, frankly, the low point of the stay. The staff member (Zoe) was abrupt from the outset, directing us to sit in a specific area without explanation. We weren’t asked about allergies or any table preferences, which is particularly important to me as an autistic guest. The environment itself was also overwhelming, with very loud music playing throughout.
When I tried to raise these concerns, the response was defensive and dismissive. I was told “sorry you feel that way,” rather than receiving a genuine acknowledgment of the issues. My wife’s interaction wasn’t any better—she was refused use of a coffee machine in a curt manner and not offered any assistance. The music was briefly lowered but then turned back up again later, adding to the discomfort.
A second staff member (Jessie) initially invited feedback but then responded by telling me she wanted to give *me* 'some feedback', which was especially upsetting given that I had already made clear that I am autistic. This escalation felt entirely inappropriate and avoidable and as I left the conversation she proceeded to shout after me despite being made repeatedly aware of my noise sensitivity.
**Spa Experience**
The spa also fell short of expectations. There are supposed to be rules about children not using certain facilities (hot tub, sauna, steam room), but these were not enforced at all—there wasn’t even clear signage. Children were using the hot tub, which created an awkward situation for my own children, who understandably questioned why they couldn’t join.
When I raised this with the spa receptionist, the response was dismissive. I was simply told she could see I was annoyed, with no attempt to resolve the issue. It felt like I was interrupting her phone call rather than being taken seriously as a guest.
**Management Response**
I did speak with the manager, Khalid, who made very minor practical gestures—removing the cost of coffee and the tray charge so we could have breakfast in our suite - but only when we took yet more time out of our stay to ask him to do these things.
While this was appreciated, the interaction lacked a genuine apology. When I raised concerns about accessibility, I was told he would need to “speak with various people,” which didn’t inspire confidence that the issues would be addressed promptly.
**Overall**
There were very few efforts to make amends, but the core issues—particularly around staff attitude, accessibility awareness, and consistency of service—were disappointing. For a hotel of this standard, I would expect a far more considerate and professional approach, especially when guests raise legitimate concerns.
I hope the hotel takes these points seriously and improves both staff training and enforcement of policies going forward.
- Deborah (9/5): Very nice hotel for a short visit - Very nice situation. Spa facilities goid.
Breakfast and evening meal also good.
Comfortable room.
Very nice staff.
- Adrianne (9/5): Relaxing Stay - Very comfortable hotel. Had a lovely Facial & Massage. The pool & hot tubs were nice to relax in. The bar was being used for a function on both nice and the room they were using wasn't as comfortable.
- Mark (10/5): Very enjoyable - will return - Excellent Setting with plenty of parking
Bonus to have Spa facilities available
Room was very comfortable and kept clean and tidy
Very good facilities for breakfast/dinner n/a
- Brian (7/5): - Thevupgrade gave us a lovely view of the lake. My husband was on a business trip. Therefore, after arriving from the Midlands, we were disappointed to find there was no iron in the room to refresh his shirts.
- gandotra (9/5): A very relaxed hotel with pleasant staff - Every individual who was working and came in contact with us very nice and professional to talk to and very helpful. Proactive behaviour of each and every staff member.
- Roger (10/5): - Location, spa, food & staff. A gym would be good. As the Spa is v good.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Trevor (8/5): -
- Natasha (9/5): I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely hotel if coming to the Isle of Wight for a holiday, I live h - It was beautiful room, we were also updated to a room with a stunning view of the lake Nothing comes to mind!
- Susanne (10/5): - Beautiful spa including a thermal pool and heat graded saunas. Excellent breakfast and dinner. We were upgraded to a lakeside room. Would definitely return. All good
- J3064HGmelaniev (10/5): Three hours of chill time. - Went on a Sunday afternoon for the three hour spa session. Was well worth it. Nice size pool, both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. Both lavender & eucalyptus saunas located outside. Steam room and infrared sauna inside. Plenty of seats and loungers, easy to spend three hours relaxing for just £25!
- Rajinder (7/5): -
- markwD5082TF (10/5): Glorious. - Had a back, neck and shoulder massage followed by an afternoon in the spa and lunch here with my wife, our treatments were amazing, the therapist was really friendly ( as a bloke who doesn’t normally do these things, she made me feel really comfortable and was very professional) my wife said it was the best she’s had in years!! ( and she goes to the spa a lot!)
The spa it’s self was just what we needed, the receptionist was very helpful and even brought us our drinks while we was laid by the pool! We can’t wait to return when the spa bar is open in the summer!
We both had lunch and it didn’t disappoint, staff were very attentive and accommodating to my wife’s dietary needs, food was hot and delicious!
The manager made us some cocktails and was very friendly, a very nice touch to have the manager on hand chatting to guests!
We can’t wait to go back! A glorious day was had!
- Emma (10/5): -
- K7654UCmandyp (10/5): A slice of heaven! - Came here for a treatment in the spa, therapist was lovely and very professional, room was nice and warm and very relaxing, the therapist made me feel really as ease, gave me time to get changed after and didn’t rush me. She gave me after care advice which topped off my experience.
The lady on reception went above and beyond, she was very welcoming and chatty.
The spa itself was very relaxing, clean and comfortable, lots of seating and 3 different saunas at different temperatures. Can’t wait to go back!
- Millytia123 (2/5): Hygiene - I got gifted for Christmas a voucher for £100 and paid £40 more for a Hot Stone Massage & Pedicure, which was lovely BUT the hygiene of the towels in the therapists room was absolutely disgusting. I therefore emailed the venue about it - I am not one to complain but paying £140 to be laying / sitting on their towels is disgusting. (Please see photos) my response back from them was ok but didn’t offer a partial refund or anything until I emailed again stating I wasn’t happy to then be given £10!! Off my next treatment. I am no way going to be spending my money again there I would rather go elsewhere especially when it cost £140! Absolutely Shocking!!
- Ben (8/5): -
- J7340GMrobl (10/5): Amazing dinner - Excellent food and atmosphere. Attended for Holi charity dinner. Staff accomodating and fantastic quality dinner.
- Jason (10/5): Very clean, staff were absolutely brilliant, room service, food was excellent - Very clean, staff were absolutely brilliant, room service, food was excellent
- Trudi (7/5): -
- Karen (9/5): -
- emmamA7339EO (6/5): Busy! - We did a twilight spa and meal deal, and were left a little disappointed. A spa experience should be relaxing and peaceful however there were so many people crammed in and kids in the pool, it was neither. Nowhere to sit/ lay and not enough space for everyone to use facilities at once so it was far from relaxing. You should be able to lounge at a spa so maybe a good rule of thumb to adopt would be admission for any many people are there are loungers/ seats. We ended up leaving after an hour. Staff were lovely though, particularly the spa receptionist who couldn't do enough for us. The meal was also very good and restaurant staff great. Just a shame that spa numbers aren't monitored better, with guest experience being considered.
- Nick (8/5): Lovely place for a winter spa break. Great food. Comfortable room. Relaxing spa - Lovely place for a winter spa break. Great food. Massive cooked breakfasts. Nicely presented evening meals. The room was large and comfortable and very clean. Mainly came for the spa which was great. 10m pool, steam room, sauna, cold shower and hot tub inside plus another hot tub and two more scented saunas outside which, on a rainy February day was very Scandinavian and refreshing.
The location on the lake is charming and there are pleasant walks nearby and a couple of great pubs by the creek. Overall a very relaxing couple of days. Only downside was a rather delayed and then rushed massage that my wife had booked. When reported later the reception staff were very apologetic and refunded the cost.
- Peter (10/5): -
- Sibylle (8/5): Lovely relaxing night. - Staff very friendly and helpful and professional . Food was delicious and the spa facilities very good. Love the view onto the lake in the dinning area and the little cosy bar area. Mattresses too soft and chairs in dinning room not very comfortable (tired springs in seats)
- W7506UYellab (10/5): AMAZING - My experience there was delightful. Everything from cleanliness to sleep quality was just above and beyond. When I asked for help the staff served me with big smiles on their faces and all their help. THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!!!! 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay on the island, even if you're a resident just looking for a relaxing weekend away with your partner.
- Tina (10/5): Even though I said what I said I would still love to come and stay. I have been coming for the last couple of years as t - Lovely hotel beautiful spa restaurant nice and clean and tidy well organised. I thought the furniture in the bedroom looked a bit on the shabby side carpets looked old cushions and the throw at the end of the bed all looked a little bit tidy for the price of the room. I felt the beds were a bit uncomfortable hard to sleep on pillows not great quality. Either bedding looked a little bit faded for the price. I thought that could’ve been much better summer duvets in the winter that’s not great.
- Roxane (7/5): Pleasant. - Hello, lovely staff, lovely room. Gowns a little old and tired and not all spa facilities working fully. Food was great and bar staff very helpful. Overall it was a good hotel and I would stay again. Spa facilities could do with a little updating.
- Ciaran (10/5): -
- Steven (8/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent, friendly, warm and value for money. - The staff were excellent especially the ladies in reception. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. 5+breakfast. Nothing.
- Mark (9/5): Just what we needed - Perfect location, warm welcome on arrival. Looked after very well in the hotel/restaurant/spa. n/a
- Huseyin (1/5): Stared very well but ended up terrible - Breakfast staff was very rude.
Her behaviour, and attitude see took was shocking.
Made my family very uncomfortable and not welcomed.
- Mark (10/5): Excellent - Friendly staff
- Sarah (6/5): Just ok, probably wouldn’t stay again - Location convenient Spa was too busy. Lots of groups and not anywhere to leave towel or to sit down
- Kate (9/5): Very pleasant. - The breakfast was lovely. A lot of choice.
The staff were all very friendly.
I found the hotel receptionist extremely approachable , friendly and helpful. The only thing that we could have done without was the panic of the fire alarm going off twice but fortunately both false alarms.
- Reima (9/5): Beautiful, memorable and my daughter enjoyed the space most. She loved the swimming pool - Very peaceful and clean hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was great. NA
- Andra (10/5): -
- Anne (4/5): Staff ok. Place needs a make over. . - Hotel was in need of refurbishing and the grounds needed attention. Better if hotel had a gym
Breakfast average. Limited choice Numerous aspects. Hotel appears in need of refurbishment. Overgrown in areas low maintenance and uncomfortable beds. Old styles and no gym which is odd for a
Spa. The tables outside didn’t appear to be cleared. We had a drink before I went to a meeting and returned 5 hours later and cups still on the table. I’d have moved them if I’d known nobody else would have been intending to do so.
This is all based on the charge rate.
- Laura (7/5): Lovely staff and generally good but no way a 4* hotel - Great location and lovely area I wouldn’t say this is a 4* hotel and think the price was high for what it was.
- Karen (7/5): - hotel location. Spa facilities rooms & corridors could do with decorating, the hotel looks a little tired
- Alex (9/5): -
- caz201640 (10/5): Hidden gem - First time visiting the Lakeside Park Hotel, and we weren't disappointed.
We attended a Christmas Party and decided to stay overnight.
Lovely meal, plenty of helpful staff. We also had a very comfortable bedroom.
The bonus was breakfast next morning, overlooking the lake.
Very impressed!
- Szilardne (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful! And the location was amazing If you choose dinner, the price isn’t displayed for guests who don’t take a two- or three-course meal. This caused a bit of misunderstanding when we were paying.
