- Pauline (4/5): Sadly not great 😩 - Stayed at Yelf’s many times over the years - it is my go to choice when l stay in Ryde. Although it is very tired and is in need of redecoration l love the character, location & friendly staff. As a single traveler sometimes l always feel safe staying there. I was so disappointed with my last stay at Yelf’s. There was no offer of assistance with my suitcase up the stairs ( l am in my 70s), the tv was faulty and started flashing red & blue ( on/off lights) at some point overnight until l unplugged it at the wall. There was peeling paintwork & the room was generally poor. The awful noises at different times throughout the night l found out the next morning was the night porter dragging tables across a wooden floor. This was after a party in the function room which my bedroom sadly was above. All in all l had about 90 mins of broken sleep.

- Callum (1/5): Honestly? I wouldn't pay someone to stay - Absolutely nothing. Stay away Used to be a decent place to stay but its massively gone downhill. No staff when you need them. No info on breakfast and for some reason wasn't been served until 9am... room was in a state. No signage to put up so workers didnt walk into my room whilst I was working. My property was touched and moved without permission. Carpet was coming away from the floor. Loads of dirt everywhere. Bed was as hard as the floor. No staff to sign you out in the morning. Coded door from the limited parking didnt work properly and the mechanism was coming away from the door as you try to open it. There's so much more but I'll run out of space to complain. All in all I want my money back!

The breakfast wasn't very good value for money and although the breakfast was tasty the muffin option was terrible. Also would have been better if there had been some non bacon, Sausage ect options nothing for people who want non hot options. Would also be better if either free refills on the drinks or a decent size glass we're available.

- Brian (8/5): We wanted the town location with car parking included at short notice to attend a funeral and affair - Staff were friendly and helpful.I got answers to all questions without any waffle. The basin cold tap dripped and was not a tight fit to the basin.The milk sachets were not topped up the following day.The bath trim edge was peeling badly and needed replacement.The hotel advertised car parking but very limited number of spaces even coming out of season and I was lucky to find the only space each time I returned.I am not sure what I would have done without having to pay extra to park elsewhere.Signage to the car parking but had virtually all shrivelled up and peeling off and not easy to spot in the next street where located.

Walking distance to the beach. Variety of restaurants around. Nice city. No sea view as expected. The hair dryer was fixed to the cupboard and not reachable to a wall socket. They have own parking, but is limited and not organised properly.

- Alexa (1/5): - The double room was quite spacious and equipped with the basics that you’d need for a stay. It would have been a great stay if I hadn’t found bedbugs on the bed just as I was about to go to sleep. Found on the bedsheets and crawling on the headboard. As I wasn’t able to sleep on the bed I tried to sleep on the small sofa that was in the room. Not only was this extremely uncomfortable after a full day of working in the sun but the room was also reading at 29° inside which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. The air was hot and musty. The room needed a deep clean, especially with the carpets.

- Michael (5/5): Adequate but not great. - Location and staff great. Dinner good but limited choice. No breakfast available. Premises very tired and run down. No central heating a fan heater supplied. It's a shame it's a nice old building on need a bit of love.
- Christopher (3/5): - Stayed in room 27, lovely big room lacking any heat apart from a very small plug in free standing heater providing insufficient heat for room size. Central heating radiaters not working, on 2nd floor corridor to rooms no illumination ceiling lights not working. Advised reception on late friday evening and reminded same on saturday morning.with reply they would get maintenance to investigate. Went out each morning between 8.30 and 9.00am reception in total darkness, no staff around and outer door locked but could be opened from inside. Never did have any follow up from my first report. Stayed 4 night room not serviced from arrival to departure.

- Gareth (2/5): as said above was mentioned to staff upon check out and they said they will let the manager know and they will get back - the noise coming from late night revellers it was if we were staying on the strip in ibiza! the screaming,shouting,swearing up until around 3 o'clock in the morning was terrible
