• Svetoslava (2/5): Old dirty hotel. Doesn’t lookmlike 5 stars hotel - The hotel doesn’t deserve 5 stars at all. It’s old, we had big humidity spots on the ceiling and next to the window. The spa area is too small for so many rooms and a bit dirty. The towels had dirty spots. We stayed 3 days but our room was never cleaned! When I asked the cleaning lady around 14:00 to tell us when they’ll clean the room, she answered that thay had a lot of work and she is not sure if she’ll manage to clean our room! And she never came to clean it! 3 days in a supposingly 5 star hotel without cleaning service of the room. Unacceptable!!! I had to ask at least for new towels at the reception in the evening as due to the spa, all our towels remained wet.

• Georgi (8/5): - Der Spa-Bereich hat deutlich kleinere Kapazität und das Hotel ist übers Wochenende gut besucht. Das Wasser in den Swimming- und Whirlpools ist dann trüb. Ich hatte ein sehr kleines Zimmer für ein 5☆ Hotel. Das Essen war aber gut und das Personal ist unglaublich nett. Also ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
• Karolina (10/5): - Great place for a weekend getaway ! The food was amazing! The bathtub is high so not very appropriate for people with mobility issues.

• Snezhana (6/5): - Unfirtunatelly the hotel decided to refarbish the two small pools that are the only ones with mineral water and it took over 2 days. The smell if the owint was awful and could be smelled the third day after. The other pools -one inside and one outside were operatonal but there the water is mixed with cold tab water and has a lot of chlores that this time was really too much! They open the foors to ventilate the space in the morning so u come to the coldest place if kess then 8 degrees. It was cold weather and no heating in the rooms or coridors, only in the restaurant. They said there was sth with the system and can not do anything. So I got cold soon. The bed needs to be changed, it is deformed at both ends. The room was big but dark and cold since it is on the northern side.
• Snezhana (6/5): - Food shall be of better quolity when meet is concerned, and pillows too, curtons washed at least once a year, children controled not to jump all the time in the pools.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Still good service that needs improvement - Good hotel, needs some additions for better comfort, like better pillows and eco soap (they used to have nice eco toaletries, now only cotton buds and pads are included). Also showers at the pools shall have shampoo. There is water maschine only at the big inner pool, once there were two. The carpets and curtains shall be cleaned at least twice a year. Food is ok but not great as it used to be, even the croassons are one day old and much smaller. Not enough vegetarian food.

• Danica (2/5): - I dont understand how they got a 5 star rating. Considering their location in a small town in comparison to others perhaps. The gront desk was neither courteous or friendly. No description of services included or available or their location. The room was far from 5 star, it smelled foul and the old brown carpet wet . The door stuck, and there was no "do not disturb " option.The safe was not functional. After a call to front desk a repair man was sent to fix safe but the smell was not addressed nor were we offered a different room or explanation or apology. Sleeping in that smell was not pleasant. Fortunately we only had a 2 night stay. Consider other options before booking here. The only positive i can say is the breakfast buffet was not bad.

• Alexandre (4/5): - This hotel hardly deserves 3 stars, not 5. Facilities looked dated, the only plus was the healing hot spring water. The blind of one of the windows in the room was broken, the air-conditioning didn't work but the temperature in the room stayed at 27C - in February!; the safe didn't work, the shower was broken; breakfast and dinner rather basic, and you had to pay for the coffee in the room... In the Spa area some of the handrails were dangerously shaky, the supposedly warm benches were cold, the cold dip was without filtration and the water wasn't clean - to stop it here... For sure not going back again.
• Marek (2/5): Päťhviezdičková tragédia - Klasifikovať toto "zariadenie" ako hotel a dokonca kategórie***** je vskutku smiešne - výsmech pre zákazníka. Som totálne zhrozený s návštevou. Mal som rezerváciu na 4 noci, ale zostal som iba 2. Zariadenie je celkom zanedbané ,s niečím takým som sa ešte ani nestretol . Toľko vecí sa dá kritizovať, že sa to ani do recenzie nevojde... Raňajky stále to isté, najobycajnejsie salámy, staré pečivo, atď. Večere tiež pod akúkoľvek kritiku - zohrievane priemyselne spracované polotovary , kuracie mäso pochybnej kvality atď. Jedine čerstvé ovocie a zelenina bolo dobré - avšak toto je žalostne málo! Čistota aj v kúpeľoch hrozná. Špinavá Kalná voda v bazénoch, pieseň všade, nechutný vzduch, vypadane dlažby v pare vyrivke... Hrozilo aj nebezpečné poranenie. Špinavé a zaprášené izby, v noci zima. Žiadne zvukové izolácie, všetky zvuky z chodby počuť. Vrchol všetkého bolí šváby v izbe, na čo som už reagoval odchodom. A personálu z recepcie to bolo úplne jedno. Takú ľahostajnosť a ignoráciu zákazníka som ešte ani nevidel. Skončil som aj so žalúdočnými a kožnými problémami + som si aj musel dezinfikovať batožinu. Neodporúčam nikomu... Áno, sú hotely ktoré dokážu vyžiť aj zo starej slávy a dobrého mena, ale toto určite nie je ten prípad!
• Snezhana (6/5): - Safe and on first glance super, but needs change of the old heating system in some rooms and anatomic pillows, better and new anatomic mattraces. Control of the pool area. New waitressess need to be tought kindness and culture. Better cleaning and less greed for money.

• Bilyana (2/5): - I was wondering if I should even leave a review since it will be my first negative review. This was my favorite hotel. I'm shocked by everything. New and untrained staff. The rooms were not cleaned once. One elevator was not working, we waited in line for the other. The steam room broke down. They blocked our door keys because they didn't know how many days we were there?! They wanted me to pay for the nights again. Christmas Eve was a disaster. There were no seats for all the guests. Strymon Garden is a thing of the past. I understand that there are new owners who must want to ruin it. And they manage! I do not recommend the hotel.

Недостатъци: 1) Стълбите пред хотела нямат ленти в края на стъпалото и може да се подхлъзнеш или пропуснеш стъпало. 2) Тока трудно зареждаше лаптопи и телефони. 3) В града има много безстопанствени кучета, които се бият помежду си, лаят и се чешат от бълхи.

Kyustendil is amazinng town with large pedestrian zone for sightseeing and recreation with historical landmarks, entertainment venues, small shops and art gallery. The mountain is a 20-minute walk away for relaxing walks in the fresh air

The check out is at 12 am, ok, but they also want not to use their swimming pool and SPA after that. At all other hotels, they permit to stay and use their facilities, even after chek out the room till the end of the day, but here not. They want to pay another 30 leva to use the SPA, and we didn't like this politics.
• Dirk (8/5): Ook zonder spa een leuk hotel! - Leuk hotel! Helaas geen gebruik gemaakt van de Spa, maar wel van de nabijheid van het eenvoudige maar erg leuke centrum. Erg netjes allemaal. Parkeerplaats op het terrein, wat erg fijn is. Een aanrader!

• Alison (6/5): Don’t stay here. - Worst hotel in our 10 days in Bulgaria. The staff not helpful and the manager was to busy to meet with us when we had a problem. Food at dinner was good, but service was terrible. Breakfast was fine as long as you stuck to the cold items.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber, das Personal sehr nett und hilfsbereit, das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr vielfältig und lecker, man konnte toll draußen sitzen. Die Poolanlage war super, wir sind oft geschwommen. Das Hotel liegt zentral und in einem Park. Die Gardine hatte ein Loch, was uns nicht gestört hat. Obwohl wir die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage ausgeschaltet hatten konnte man immer noch Geräusche hören. Erst hat uns das gestört, war aber doch so leise, dass wir gut geschlafen haben.

Guarded parking lot, nice rooms and good breakfast , that includes even sparkling wine ( which could be better brand than the offered one) , the pool is big and te spa is very good too.. If you are there to hike and discover the mountains and places around Kyustendil like us, the SPA after a long day is a great pleasure

• Verified traveler (8/5): Good spa hotel great food - Most of the stuff at the reception desk were not polite they did not let us earlier in our room and did not let us stay a bit longer as is usuall for hotels.com customers and old customer who comes here for 8 years. They also did not tell us there is a very new outside pool ee found it by accident after 2 days. The food us great yet i niticed some small insects. The bathroom was rwhularly flooded since the water has no place to go outside the bath. Very hit at the 5th floir I asked for upgrade the unswer was there is no free room in continuation and has to be payed 15 euro per day. So he did not want to help at all. The parking lot is very small and people park next to the entrance! The back yard is used as outer part of the coffe pub. The new menagment is obviously having no fine sense for good and loyal customers and not only well paying customers. The bycicles for free rent they offer are old and not comfortable. Only two bulgarian newspapers at the reception are for guest amusement. The same old and sometimes with holes bath suits are in use that are inherited from the previous ownership. The prices at the new outer pool are quite high.

• Rady (10/5): One of the best Spa Hotels - One of the best Spa Hotels with natural mineral water in Bulgaria. Outdoor and indoor swimming pool, unique spa with saunas, steambath, jakuzi, etc. Cosy and very clean rooms, polite and friendly staff, amazing breakfast.
• Maya (8/5): Nice stay - The food and service in the restaurants are very good. Spa center is on average level in my opinion-could be better.
• Nesi (8/5): - Nice hotel and spa, close to town centre. Very polite staff. A few thinks needs improvement: Cleaning: we had deluxe room with balcony, but the balcony was extremely dirty and can't use efectively. The tiles in the jacuzzi also needs cleaning! Will be nice all pots to have their missing plants and keep them green and fresh! 5 star hotel: do we really have to pay for newspaper....even after 3 pm?! Usually evrymorning the newspapers should left front of the door ! Overall the hotel, spa and facilities are good! The staff is very polite and helpful therefore I will recommend the hotel as nice spa destination!
