Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Ich war hier für die letzten Tage meines Aufenthaltes vor dem Rückflug und kann es dafür ausdrücklich empfehlen.

TV didn’t work, reading lights were not functioning, hair on the bed when I arrived, black specks on the bathroom mirror, no bidet and weak toilet paper, room smelled bad and the walls and ceiling were very thin as I could hear conversations from all angles. This was my worst hotel experience in Japan. If this review isn’t published I want a full refund.

• SHIMIZU (7/5): 女性スタッフとベッドメイキングで許せる範囲へ - 受付女性スタッフの笑顔と対応 駅からの近さ ベッドメイキングの丁寧さ 受付時に海外客が団体で来ていたこともありフロントが無人、しかしフロント奥から男性の電話をする声が聞こえていた。呼び出しのベルを鳴らすも出てこず、大きな声ですみませんというとほかの対応から急いで帰ってきた女性スタッフがキーを渡してくれた。女性スタッフのワンオペ状態、あの女性スタッフのよい対応がなければ評価はかなり下がっていた。 廊下は何かを零した跡がありら少し汚く感じた。 部屋の読書灯が2つとも故障している。部屋の照明が少なめなので何かを読むには電灯の下に行かなければ見づらい。 冷蔵庫が無いので冷たい物などの保存がきかない。 シャワーカーテンが短く、シャワーの勢いでおこる風圧で内側になびきトイレの床がかなりの確率で濡れる

• Merrill (9/5): Surprisingly Good Stay at Old-style Hotel - This is the way many hotels in Japan used to be, with a metal room key that must be dropped off at front desk whenever you leave the property. It has a very early traditional breakfast in AM, and just a few amenities—so this stay was nostalgic for me. Desk staff were great, but it does help to speak a little Japanese or use a translation app like Google Translate. When you come down steps from JR Narita, stay on right side of the street—hotel is two blocks down on left side but to save time don’t cross until you walk one block down. Cafe Marond will be to your front as you leave JR, with an excellent bakery. There is also a small drugstore next to the JR station steps with better prices than Aeon when it comes to snacks, paper towels, or dental items. This is the quiet side of Narita where the locals live—not the busy/noisy tourist area. You can find a wonderful bento shop called Kitchen Origin on right side of street as you head towards Asia hotel. It has a better selection than most combinis or even Aeon, in my opinion and prices are as good or better. Local friends say the barber shops in this area are very good and less expensive than at the big hotels or tourist area. The budget single rooms at Asia hotel are significantly larger than what I found at APA, Toyoko, or Comfort Inn. The plumbing is older (no heated toilet seat), but well-maintained. My stay was very good and I hope to return again. There is no laundry on property—I was pointed to a community laundromat further down the street. Also it seemed like one had to rent an iron for clothes—They apparently are not available for free. No bus pick-up—You must use JR train from airport and get off at JR Narita.
