• Silva (8/5): - A great place if you're passing through and want to enjoy tourist spots like Khao San Road and famous temples. Despite being close to Bangkok's most famous avenue, the place is quiet for a good night's rest. The staff is attentive and you can even try the dishes served in the cafeteria. I would definitely stay again.

• Edward (9/5): Perfect Khao San hostel - I've no idea how I missed this hostel before, but it has everything a good hostel should have, while maintaining a reasonable 350b price tag. Honestly, what a gem....! The hostel is located in a perfect spot, a quiet alleyway off of Khao San Road, so you're near everything, but it's not too loud. The rooms are clean, neat and modern. Proper pod style beds, with curtains that give genuine privacy, comfortable (Asian firm) mattress, clean bedding, multiple plugs and a light in the pod. There is also full size locker just outside the room. There are 2 showers and toilets per floor, all very clean and in good condition. Hot water flow was decent. WiFi was stable and fast. There is a lobby downstairs with a coffee shop, and plenty of chill out space as well. Honestly, everything was perfect...

• Helen (9/5): Will be back ❤️ - Perfectly peaceful stay in the heart of Khao San Road. Great breakfast, the staff did an early check-in for me, forever grateful after a night spent on a sleeper bus. Nice indoor lounge, have a sitting area in front of the hostel. Maybe the air in the room could be slightly better during the night and early mornings (ventilation).

Worst experience, No security, my luggage got stole. - NO proper CCTV - Safety issues - My stuff was stolen and the hostel was offering me breakfast for it, I mean one breakfast for a missing item of 4000 baht. When I tried to get CCTV, there was no recording, seems like zero safety.

• Mark (8/5): - A good hostel in the Old Town, full of tourists and cafes, a 15-20-minute walk to the nearest metro station, and a 5-7-minute walk to buses to various destinations. Large, comfortable beds with soft mattresses, a convenient staircase for the upper bunks, long curtains that cover the bed on all sides, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff, and a very cozy cafe-like lounge area on the ground floor. The rooms are quiet and peaceful, I recommend it! I can't say, I probably liked everything

• Magdolna (10/5): Amazing hospitality - I only stayed for a short night, but was amazed by the hospitality of the hosts! I arrived in the middle of the night when the reception was closed. To ensure I'd find everything, they left me a note sticked to the entrace door, also left the key inside. It was superkind! Also next day they put my wet clothes into the dryer for free! The facilities was also great, and the location is exceptional! Although I only stayed there only for 12 hours, I had one of the best experience and would definitely go back! Nothing

• Valentin (9/5): Buen lugar - La ubicación, está en todo Khaosan Road pero no hay ruido del exterior, entonces duermes genial ya que las camas son bastante cómodas y además te dan toallas ilimitadas. Además está en un callejón con buenos lugares de comida y una lavandería a 200 metros. Tienes un Burger King y Starbucks al lado así que te puede ir bien si te hace falta. Las chicas de recepción super amables y siempre sonrientes Nada grave, solo el tamaño de los escalones y que las toallas no huelen bien, parece que no se lavan correctamente

The staff were fantastic: super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. I really enjoyed staying here and will definitely return when I’m back in Bangkok. The place is super clean and well-maintained, with great attention to detail. I stayed in a dormitory, and the setup was excellent—each bed had its own light, power outlets, and privacy curtains. Very practical and comfortable. The shared bathroom is just a short walk away and was always clean. It came stocked with shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, and even a hair dryer. Wifi was fast and reliable throughout my stay. A big bonus: buses to both airports are just two blocks away, which makes getting in and out of the city really convenient. Highly recommended! The bed was a bit firm, but that’s quite normal in Thailand, so not a big issue

• Yaşar (10/5): Quiet, cozy, and a lovely place to stay! - Even though it’s right next to Khaosan Road, Tales Khaosan Hostel is surprisingly quiet and peaceful — perfect for relaxing after a busy day. I really enjoyed spending time at the café downstairs; it has such a warm and chill vibe. The staff were absolutely lovely — super helpful and genuinely kind. I’d definitely choose this place again!

• Megan (10/5): I had an enjoyable stay and it suited my needs for a few nights perfectly - Like others have said and I appreciate the reviews, it’s close to the action on Khaosan Rd but still quiet enough to get away from it and get a good night’s sleep. The massage and laundry place in the alley were convenient and great and there is so much good food in the cafe at the hostel and the alley, you don’t have to go far and you get to meet awesome people right there!! I have to second what others have warned about: some of the stairs are quite narrow at some parts…watch out!
