We researched that the music is only on until 1am but it was playing until gone 2am so I didn't sleep very well but it is what I expected from staying in a pub!

• John (7/5): clean but very small, fine for a 1 nighter but not so much for a longer stay. - The room was clean with clean bed sheets and towels very small room, access to it was through the Pub's garden and through a narrow path, so a bit awkward with everyone seeing you go in and out.

• Michael (8/5): A happy overnight customer. - I did my research and it provided all that I wanted, accommodation no breakfast: convenient location, good parking, comfy bed and no fuss booking in or out.

On Saturday and Sunday the nights were ruined by excessive music from the bar. On Saturday the music didn’t finish until 1:00am and on the Sunday evening the music didn’t finish until midnight with the volume on both evenings being very loud.

• Sonja (9/5): Great place to stay if visiting Sheffield - Warm welcome, very clean and comfortable room. Triple room was perfect for 3 friends on a budget to stay the night whilst at a conference in Sheffield. Above a noisy pub, but that quietened down at about 11pm in good time for a restful sleep. Bus link to the city was great (about 25/30 mins). Nothing - it was great. No breakfast provided and nothing much to see in the immediate area - but we knew that in advance.

Bar staff who greeted us on arrival didn't seem to know we were coming. No breakfast available. Very noisy as on a busy road. Someone knocked on the door quite early in the morning to clean before we checked out.

• Csetenyi (9/5): Wonderful stay! - It was clean and in prime location for a wedding I was attending. Lively and reasonably priced drinks. Great mattress, clean bathroom, toiletries and clean towels. Catriona and all the staff were super friendly and wonderful, made my stay even embetter and great recommendations for the area. It was a little on the snug side with no bedside table and no breakfast but that is understandable and clearly written on the booking. All in all fabulous stay.

• Wayne (9/5): Simply great, try this place if you are travelling to or staying in Sheffield. - A great friendly old style no frills pub with good honest food and attentive staff, I was made very welcome and shown to my room, I ordered a meal from the menu and it was lovely. This is the type of hospitality that large hotel chains seem to have lost and it was a very nice change to have stayed at this place. A massive surprise also was that they had FREE parking unlike the large greedy hotel chains who think its ok to charge an extra £10 to stay in the car park of the hotel I will definitely look to stay again next time I am in Sheffield.

• John (7/5): All in all it was ok as we needed somewhere at very short notice and it was near where we needed to - The bed was comfortable, it was very clean, like the access so you didn't have go through the pub, no parking issues. Although it is on a main road we were not disturbed. Welcome was good. Bathroom has no hooks or shelves to put things. There was nowhere to sit other than the bed or the floor. No bedside tables and lamps. If the room next door opened their door I couldn't open mine. No information in the room about the WiFi, had to ask at the bar.

• Obrien (2/5): Very poor - Beer garden Didnt know they had an all day disco , wouldnt have booked had this been told , arrived around 4pm it played till 11.30 it was so loud in the room above the bar , number 4 it shook the fillings from your teeth , had to leave and go to the chantry next door for a quiet beer , would rather sleep on the street than book this place again.

The first room we booked was located inside the pub and was very outdated with taped light fittings and very dirty. There was no properly fitted lock on the door and it’s a very busy pub where anyone could have, walked upstairs. The second room to our surprise was located in a makeshift shed off the beer yard / garden again also very busy. This didn’t feel safe having to walk through a busy beer yard through a rickety fence. The view from the door was a fence.

Food was not available however we were pointed in the direction of a lovely Indian restaurant. No explanation on check out or if breakfast would be available. No bathroom mat for when getting out of the shower.

Staff very friendly. Rooms clean and comfortable. Would have liked to know in advance and breakfast availability and serving hours for meals.

Very clean room, small but perfectly adequate with very comfortable beds and tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. Pub was good, with locals very friendly. Highly recommend if you want comfortable, clean accommodation at a decent price. Just a tip, if you want breakfast you need to book it at time of booking. Will definitely stay here again if visiting Sheffield or the arena. There was nothing that springs to mind.

What better way to end my busy day than with a nice pint and a huge portion of homecooked food. The rooms are very clean, smell nice and the beds are amazingly comfy. Wish the TV's were smart TV's with Netflix or Amazon prime apps so that I can sign into my account and watch a movie.
