• Jeanette (8/5): Very good - The location of the accommodation is excellent, close to Kraton. The architecture of the place is traditional Javanese, which gives it a very picturesque charm. However, there are a few areas that could be improved without losing its essence. For example, repainting the walls to cover old stains and removing cobwebs would make a big difference. On another hand, the shower could be improved: the water flow is very weak and there’s no hot water.

• Slamet (8/5): So far, my experience of staying at Ndalem Mantrigawen was quite impressive and comfortable. - Ndalem Mantrigawen is a heritage building nearest the Yogyakarta Royal Palace (Kraton). Which is located in the midst of town but is quiet and peaceful. So, this guest house is suitable for family vacations, and also comfortable for work from remote areas. Actually, the room is very small for three persons. There are mosquitos that are disturbed enough. The amenities are not complete, such as no toothbrush and toothpaste.

During the night there’s no sounds other than the small lizards and crickets, which for me made it even better. The location is not the most interesting, but we only stayed one night to travel further.

• Anca (4/5): A lot of mold, humidity and noisy - + really beautiful garden, oasis to take break from the city. + the staff was absent/not speaking English, but by WhatsApp they helped arrange a tour to Borobudur temple. - most important (reason for low grade): the rooms, common bathroom and outdoor areas are full of mold and humidity. They don't allow me to put pictures here, but I will put them on Google. - no respect for sleep and quiet: apart from the noise from the street, the staff would make noise at 5-6am, or loud tv at night, loud guests hanging out until 23pm-12am in common areas by the bedrooms. I asked staff to kindly ask them to move to the other common areas far from the rooms, but they didn't. - no hot shower, only fan.
• Mardiyati (10/5): Exceptional - First time coming n CHK in early in the morning 4 o'clock the staff was welcome us with the smile and help full thank you for Mas Anto and Mba Iis they are kind nice people The facility was OK , the bathroom was clean , the bedroom was classic , tea and coffee never end always full every time The ambience was good , the owner Mas Edwin was also a nice person The location was strategic landmark center of the jogya city easy find food drink and all tourist attractions Thanks you Ndalem Mantrigawen We will back and recommend to our family college and else None - all the good for us

• Celine (7/5): Basic accommodation in neighbourhood location - A homestay like the locals use! There's a nice garden in the middle and free drinking water available. Stay here if you want to experience neighborhood life in Yogyakarta. The room and the furnishings are quite old. It's not for you if you're looking for an upscale lodging or the most modern facilities, but it's good if all you want is a cheap private room and bathroom.
• Mutambayi (9/5): A nice hotel to stay in Yogyakarta (close from main road) - Small charming hotel just next to one of the main roads in Yogyakarta (restaurants from walking distance if you'd wish). Receptionist and staff are very nice and helpful, they let us benefit from a late check out and helped us rent a motorbike. He can also help you with activities to do in the city and around. Room was small but you will find all the facilities needed for a short stay. We had a very nice terrace in front of other rooms, that was nice. We recommend this place to stay in Yogyakarta ;) Pipe under the bathroom sink was leaking, we had to put the trash underneath so that the bathroom was not soaked.. We reported it to one member of the staff but nothing was done during our short stay. Despite this, everything was fine.

• Ralf (10/5): Ndalem Mantrigawen - nett und gemütlich - Sehr nettes Guest House, schöner, sehr gemütlicher Innenhof mit jeweils 2 Stühlen und 1 Tisch vor dem Zimmer. Überaus freundliches Personal, sehr hilfsbereit unter anderem beim Buchen von Touren, Flügen etc. . Frühstück sehr einfach mit scrambled egg und Toast für 5000,-... Also frühstücken lieber um die Ecke in einem der zahlreichen kleinen Restaurants. Das Guest House ist sehr zentral gelegen, man ist zu Fuß sehr schnell in der City. Empfehlenswert bei der Rückkehr ist es, eine Motorrad-Rikscha zu nehmen, das ist günstig, macht unheimlich Spaß und geht schneller. Da das Guest House etwas versteckt liegt und sehr unscheinbar ist, verpaßt man es leicht...WLAN verfügbar...Beim nächsten Mal sehr gerne wieder!!!
