• Kristina (9/5): - Nice little hotel. Rooms needed some refurbishment, but they were clean and tidy. The man working that evening was very helpful, and he even offered breakfast a bit earlier because we had to leave quite early. We had a pleasant stay.

• SB270364 (4/5): Served a purpose - The staff were friendly The room was up 2 quite steep stairs cases, which were narrow. Road noise can be easily heard, toilet situated in the corner under a sloping roof, not ideal if you are tall. Room was clean and tea and coffee supplied although they gave 3 of each for 2 people. The tv was interesting 🤔, you had to turn on and leave for 5 mins before the picture would show on the screen. Served a purpose but would revisit
• Michael (2/5): Worst ever stay. Faulty - No hotel facilities. You book B&B and that’s what you get. No other hotel facilities like a lounge , bar or a chance of any other meal. Breakfast 7 to 9 and it was warm and over cooked and gave the impression it was cooked at 7 and put on hot plates ready for an 8 service of help yourself.

• Dave Rowbotham (7/5): Nice for a night. - Clean room with warm shower, and tea & coffee in room. Good breakfast, choice of cereal along with cooked breakfast. It has a off road carpark. Just required a little organising. Especially around where motorcycles are parked. Had to move so old plant pots to get the bikes out of sight. The hotel bar is no longer in use. The rooms were cold, which as a motorcyclist wanting to get warm and dry my clothes wasn't the best. Parking was ok, but requires some organising / tidying up. The room key operated the communal fire exit door so it seems everyone must have the same key. Not good for security.

Die Treppen waren noch steiler als üblich und mit niedrigen Durchgängen (der Zugang zur Treppe ist nur ca 1,60. Das Bad war mit Schräge und die Toilette unter die Schräge gesetzt. Jüngere Leute kommen damit vielleicht besser zurecht

• Narendra (6/5): Comfortable stay with good facilities and very clean and good sized rooms and wonderful staff - Yeh hotel was very clean and tidy with good parking facilities though not a big park. The staff were very polite and helpful. Check in and checkout times are good and breakfast was available with the rate we paid. Good size rooms with facilities such as microwave, fridge, fan etc in the room made it very comfortable for us. The downsides we felt were that there was no lift so heavy suitcases were a difficult one to deal with and ironing facilities were only available in the reception area to use and not in the room. And finally the hotel needs a good coat of paint and that’s what made it look old and tired.
• Marsh (8/5): Adequate and quirky - Bedroom itself was large, clean and well equipped. Regretfully there was no bar service of food on the night of arrival ( bank holiday Sunday) which was surprising. Quirky ambience. Breakfast was a casual ( some cooked items available as a buffet in containers) affair and adequate. Afraid the windows of my bedroom at the front could do with a thorough clean....not only road dirt but masses of cobwebs so not been done for some considerable time.

• Ian (10/5): Nice accommodation in a former pub - We were greeted by a very pleasant lady who helped us with our luggage to the room. The room was nicely decorated with good quality furniture. It was comfortable,clean and spacious with a nice ensuite. Breakfast was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay here 😀 It's a shame that the traditional bar area is only used to serve breakfast and as a storage space. So many pubs lost. Hope this business survives as a B&B because they are trying hard.

• Susanna (4/5): - Das Personal hat sich um das Wohlergehen bemüht. Das Frühstück war basic aber gut. Der gratis Parkplatz war ideal, aber es sind nicht viele Plätze vorhanden. Das Hotel sieht ungepflegt aus. Unser Zimmer und Badezimmer waren eher klein, auch konnte man die Gäste aus dem Nebenzimmer hören. Die Treppe war eng und steil.
• Stevie (5/5): Not happy - The location, close to other pubs As soon as we got into the room the bed was wet we told the people which they didn’t understand. Someone came to the room and was confused, we showed him it looked like it was coming from the light but he was still confused and didn’t understand us. They swapped the duvet but in the morning we woke up with wet feet which had come from the light once again. There were also orange marks on the bed, the bath was tiny and when we were having a shower it felt unstable and uneven. It also shows on pictures like it is a pub but it’s not and nothing is served so we ended up going across the road to the pub. Overall not happy. The photos don’t really show up how wet the bed was but parts of the room looked very damp.

• nicola (3/5): Would not recommend and would definitely never return - The beds were comfortable and the room was clean There was a weird smell as soon as you came through the front door and the whole downstairs. The room was small and cramped. The door to the stairs was locked over night so we couldn’t get out, god knows what we would have done in a fire. The host did mention something about this when we came in, but her English was so poor we couldn’t understand anything she said despite trying. The light in the sink area went off and on continuously if anyone moved or spoke in any part of the room. The owner came to the room at 7 on Sunday morning because the fridge was not working downstairs and thought the trip switch was in our room, he looked and it wasn’t. We had to sit separately for breakfast as there were no clean tables for three people. The breakfast was not great, bacon greasy, eggs like hockey pucks. The toast was ok, that was about it. Ta les not made right, if you asked for anything they just took it off another table. The whole place is tired, needs lots of attention and looks uncared for.

Hotel seems to be run by two people hence slow service. Room is not as clean as I would like it to be, floor lamp not working, dusty and cobwebs in places.

• Mike (4/5): Fun house bed. - Room was fine , a little noisy from upstairs. The maintenance on the building was poor, door to the upstairs room was sticking meaning the guests had to slam it over and over again. The bed was terrible, loose connections allowed the headboard and footboard to move 16 inches backwards and forwards. You could not sleep in it. Ended up sleeping on the sofa. Informed staff who didn't do a thing.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Cheap but not so cheerful - Pros: Fairly cheap. Room was clean and a good size. Friendly and welcoming staff. Good restaurant nearby. Cons: Road is quite noisy. Loud music playing nearby until late. En-suite was very small. Shower in main bedroom (bit weird). Parking was terrible and we got blocked in. Staff struggled to understand dietary requirements, so it's probably worth emailing ahead if you have any to ensure they can cater for you

• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice stay - Pros: Check-in was quick and easy; the staff were lovely. Breakfast was lovely, and you can have continental breakfast and also hot food, which is included. Cons: The bed was hard and uncomfortable. I feel that some things need fixing, such as the ceiling and odd things here and there. Lastly, the bathroom isn't good for tall people over 5'11".

And the building itself was so uninviting both inside and out. Sorry to say, but it doesnt feel.like an inspiring place to stay, so we didn't stay. I guess I lost my money,but it didn't feel right to stay.

Não tem uma cadeira, porque não cabe, não tem espaço para a mala, não tem espaço de passagem ao fundo da cama, não fornece produtos de higiene (shampo/gel de banho) conforme a necessidade, que nos obrigou a comprar e não é aspirado há muito tempo. Melhor limpeza, mais espaço, sítio para guardar a roupa e a mala, produtos de higiene
