• Almut (10/5): - Der sehr nette Empfang von Ariana, das leckere Abendessen am ersten Abend, gekocht von Mutter und Tochter, das umfangreiche italienische süße Frühstück (Eier. Schinken und Käse werden auf Wunsch auch gereicht). Nur die Zufahrtsstraße ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Und die vielen Katzen am Ort waren für uns (zum Teil mit Katzenallergie) etwas problematisch.

Mi sono sentita a casa, siamo stati accolti dai gestori meravigliosamente. Consiglio di provare la loro cena, veramente deliziosa e leggera, preparata con prodotti a km zero e bio, tutto digeribile e di qualità! Arianna e la sua mamma vi accoglieranno con il sorriso in un luogo di pace e tranquillità. Non scoraggiatevi per la strada sterrata perchè ne vale veramente la pena percorrerla! • Davide (10/5): Oasi di benessere e tranquillità a 360 gradi . - Sono stati accoglienti , l’attenzione all’ospite di livello per niente scontata e ormai rara , ma da parte loro abbiamo appurato , una grande passione con cui loro si dedicano all’attività, anche se breve è stata una pausa rigenerante lontani dallo stress. La qualità migliore è stata da parte loro di essere presenti e non invadenti , competenti e attenti all’ospite . Sinceramente non abbiamo trovato nulla.

• Janice (10/5): We loved our visit! - We had a wonderful time at this Agriturismo. Arianna is wonderful; helpful, welcoming, and funny. She and her mother-in-law are excellent cooks. We had great meals. Arianna even makes her own yogurt for breakfast. The location is so quiet that the birds were the loudest things we heard. OK, the hotel is down a 1.5 km dirt road, which is a bit of an adventure. But.... if you are looking for a wonderful, quiet, quaint hotel, it is well worth the drive down the road. It is a 15 minute drive from the hotel to Volterra. (We even had to stop to allow the neighbor's chickens cross the road. Made for a great photo!) And, speaking of Volterra, you don't want to miss this gem of an ancient hilltop, walled town. We loved walking around and learning about the Etruscan people from B.C! Again, the road to the hotel is gravel, but it is well worth the drive to stay at this adorable, quiet, clean hotel with a wonderful host and delicious food!

• Carina (10/5): Erholung und Gastfreundschaft pur in Mitten der Natur! - Die Lage mitten in den Olivenbäumen mit einer kleinen Terrasse hat mir sehr gefallen, außerdem die Gastfreundschaft der Familie, sowie das leckere Frühstück. Der hausgemachte Joghurt war der beste, den ich je probiert habe! Mir fällt nichts ein.

• Júlia (10/5): Autêntica fazenda Toscana com aconchego familiar - Fazenda familiar bem cuidada no interior da Toscana, fácil acesso a partir da estrada vicinal. Arianna e sua família nos receberam com carinho e atenção, se preocuparam em tornar nossa estadia agradável nos mínimos detalhes. Tivemos a sorte de estar lá em um dos dias em que é servido jantar típico toscano, com ingredientes frescos e tudo delicioso. O quarto em que ficamos é enorme, arejado. Destaque para os produtos da marca Idea Toscana disponíveis para os hóspedes como amenities, também vendidos na prioridade. Recomendo altamente! Obrigada, queridos Arianna e família! Passamos um tempo maravilhoso com vocês.

• Chiara (9/5): - I proprietari, il paesaggio, la tranquillità Purtroppo un piccolo neo che da motociclista non posso ignorare, l'ultimo tratto di strada per una moto almeno che non abbia gomme tassellate è quasi infattibile, dover scendere e spingere un Tracer9 non è proprio comodo! Sicuramente in auto è tutta un altra cosa, per il resto è un vero paradiso, ci torneremo ma in macchina.

• Chiara (9/5): Un paradiso tra le colline toscane. - Abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte, come appoggio per dividere il viaggio, non ci hanno fatto mancare nulla, la gentilezza e l’altruismo regna da parte dello staff. Ci hanno anche consigliato alcuni posti dove poter cenare la sera. Colazione squisita con prodotti fatti in casa buonissimi e fatti con amore. La posizione è al di fuori della città per chi cerca serenità e silenzio. Ci siamo davvero trovati benissimo.

• Liliana (9/5): Superb - Place is clean and well-kept. Staff very polite, friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful in the middle of the countryside. Breakfast and home-cooked food very good. Description mentions restaurant on site. It is actually the agriturismo kitchen that provides a home-cooked meal from a set menu on Tuesdays and Fridays only. While the food was lovely, a better explanation about this would help as the impression is that there is a restaurant open daily. Given that the location is in the middle of the countryside this information might help when making plans including where to eat as otherwise the is no option but to have to go out looking for a restaurant elsewhere.

• Michael (9/5): Great host, great room, Toscany at its best - in the middle of nature. - We arrived and took part in a great dinner provided by the host family. Awesome. The room itself is very modern, clean and very, very quiet. If you look for a place within nature in Toscany - definitely a place to consider. Not much to say. The last kilometer to reach the location is a dirt road and a bit of caution is needed when using it. But that's just a minor fun aspect.

• Yue (10/5): Nature, amazing food from farm to table, fantastic people running the business - Agriturismo Pretenzano is run by a lovely family. They are very warm and happy people and made our stay absolutely wonderful. The 3 course meal dinner (and 1 side) we had was fantastic, using ingredients produced at the farm such as the extra virgin olive oil and the amazing wine. Come here to experience nature and a beautiful experience given by these amazing people. You need to rent a car to get to the property, but that goes for everywhere here by the countryside and there’s not much I would fault regarding the property itself.

The breakfast was delicious, but we couldn't try the dinner unfortunately. The location was very peaceful, with a lot of dogs and cats. The swimming pool was not available for all guests and dinner was not served every night.

• Shirley (10/5): Great Tuscan stay in Volterra-agritourismo pretenzano - Hosts Arianna, Neda and Evio made our stay comfortable and enjoyable with their friendly and caring ways. Beautiful houses with clean and comfortable rooms and scenic surroundings where you can go for a walk or run. The breakfast is good and the optional dinner a must..great, hearty Tuscan meal cooked by Neda and the world's best Panna cotta by Arianna, according to my bro-in-law who owned an Italian trattoria in Singapore previously 😉 However, dinner is only available 2 days a week. We happened to enjoy it only once. The rooms are cleaned daily. One of the dogs, Romeo has the sweetest temperament and love to follow Evio around Nothing really. But as mentioned in many reviews, the dirt road leading to the agritourismo is a bit difficult to manoeuvre. I think it is really to be expected as we are in the midst of rolling hills. Just have to drive super slowly. There is no drinking water or kettle provided in the rooms but it should be settled by the hosts easily

The breakfast is delicious with a variety of homemade cakes and savoury options like eggs and ham. We had dinner one evening and it was really good, probably the best we had on our holiday. (9/5): Welcoming, beautiful spot near Volterra - Agriturismo Pretenzano is a family-run establishment about a 15 minute drive from Volterra, which is a lovely historical town well-worth visiting. We were at the Agriturismo at the beginning of the off-season so did not make full use of the facilities, which include a swimming pool. The couple who runs Pretenzano is welcoming and amiable. The Agriturismo is away from the main road, down a long gravel driveway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, as is the bathroom. A superb breakfast is served in the morning, and it is included in the price. It includes great coffee, fruits, cheeses, meats and items baked by the family in the morning. The hospitality at this establishment was genuine. Dinner is not served on premises, but there are several nearby options with good food that do not require a trip back to Volterra. The only drawback to this Agriturismo is for travelers who do not have a car. It is a bit far from Volterra, which is in hilly terrain, so it may be a challenge to access for bicycle tourists.

We enjoyed spending an afternoon relaxing in the gazebo. Traditional family farm with welcoming hosts. Delicious home cooked meals and torte. Good value. Be prepared for gravel roads up the hill to get to the property.

• Annabelle (10/5): An authentic, warm and wonderful stay - When my partner and I arrived here after a very long and tiring day of travel from Positano, Agriturismo Pretenzano felt like a warm hug. I cannot speak more highly of our experience here. From picking us up from the bus station, driving us to the wedding we were attending nearby and being so accommodating for my partner's dietary requirements (coeliac), Ariana and her family are the most hospitable, kind and good-humoured people. The room was beautiful, clean and quaint with lovely natural light from the Tuscan sun; dinner was absolutely divine; and I loved the spread of cakes and baked goods in the dining area. These were wholesome, authentic meals, made with love, care and high-quality ingredients. My partner and I agreed that it was better than anything we had in Positano. The pork ragu pasta was particularly delicious! If you want an authentic, warm, simple and rustic Tuscan experience, definitely come here. Plus, if you love animals, say hello to their many dogs and newborn kittens! I can say that the two nights we spent there weren't enough - I wish we could've stayed longer!

• Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Arianna and her family run a lovely agriturismo, perfectly located near Volterra. The breakfast was great and the rooms spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
• Morten (9/5): Lovely and cozy Agriturismo, which is worth a visit - Cozy and lovely locations, with very peaceful and landly atmosphere. Wonderful surroundings, and (we think) a very Italian countryside. The room was lovely, clean and we have not complaints. The host was very attentive, friendly and kind despite a language barrier. We were offered dinner at the hotel at a very reasonable price and it was delious. Would stay again and longer. The road to the Agriturismo was quite bumpy and uneven (even for a country road) and the communication could be a little difficult, but the host was very sweet and friendly all the same, and eventually we understood each other.
• Mitja (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation is in a beautiful location not far from Volterra. The surroundings and the room were extremely nicely decorated and clean. We had bed and breakfast and were served beautifully, the breakfast was rich and varied. They also have local delicacies which are worth trying.

Egyetlen zavaró tényező volt a szúnyog, amit csak estefelé tapasztaltunk az udvaron, de az annyira eltörpül a többi mellett... De pihenésre ennél csendesebb, nyugodtabb, szebb környéket, képzelni sem lehet! Amit kaptunk ételeket fantasztikusak voltak. Csak ajánlani tudom.

Le stanze sono molto pulite e confortevoli e la conduzione famigliare assicura ogni comfort! La nostra bambina di 2 anni è stata conquistata da Romeo, il cane lupo eh controlla la zona! Consigliamo di approfittare dell’ottima cucina delle donne di famiglia, non resterete delusi! Torneremo presto
