- Diana (10/5): We loved our 30 minute walks downhill into town in the morning but this Casa is 300 m above the city so a slog to get ba - Boho/ hippy ambience, such friendly staff, quiet neighbourhood and gardens with lots of nooks to hide away with a book. We never did the San Jose journey but Lesley leads these and the preps and activities around this was intriguing Geographically Inconvenient for tourist activities Breakfast great. We had one supper here, but that meal not to be recommended
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- John (5/5): Good spiritual retreat but it was not for us. - the owner and her son were very, very nice to us and so were most of the staff, i later learned shes a famous spiritual leader. most if the staff were very nice ti us But one staff member used racial slang to refer to us which was quite upsetting. This is a very unique and pretty environment which I am sure is deserving of the high ratings, it’s truly in a lovely remote mountainous area. this place is a spiritual retreat and not a traditionally B&B inn as we had thought, i have nothing against this but this should be made known. we have travelled worldwide and even have a travel instagram and i genuinely was confused. people were talking all night and using restrooms a lot in the wee hours. out group and two others shares a tiny bathroom.
-location was too remote for uber and taxis and early morning tour group pickup.
-walls very thin and people talking and laughing all night
-we had to wait to check in and wait,
- it really was upsetting thar one maid used racial epithet to refer to us
- Temika (10/5): Very nurturing and loving experience! ❤️ - Wow what a magical 3 nights we experienced! The Gardens are extraordinary!! Lesley and staff were wonderful. Beds cosy and comfortable and the showers hot and flowing. View and location absolutely gorgeous. Away from the hustle of cusco, nestled in the mountains. A little out of our budget, but we are sooo grateful we stayed anyway because it was one of the highlights of our trip.
The doggies were a welcomed bonus. Pacho my favourite 🥰
We will be forever grateful for lesley and her essence for being the place we landed when we arrived in peru. Such a blessing 🙌

- Anbanban (10/5): An amazing and unforgettable stay in a beautiful accommodation and environment - We loved the hospitality of the staff and were impressed by the beautiful environment and garden at 3800 meters altitude. The temple of the moon nearby was very impressive as well. One of us partook in one of the ceremonies and had an amazing experience, thanks to Mark, Lesley and the shaman. The design of the room was also very authentic and tasteful. We immediately felt at home and comforted/supported when some of us had difficulties adapting to the height. We also liked that the location was a bit outside of the busy city, in nature. It is about 15 minutes by taxi to go down to town.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - My solo trip to Casa de la Gringa was the best gift I’ve ever given to myself! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was bright, clean, comfortable, and had a lovely loft space perfect for meditating! My fellow guests were wonderful- fellow seekers who became instant friends! I never felt lonely with all of these beautiful souls keeping me company. The hostel is in a great location, with many shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby in the gorgeous and funky San Blas area.
I came for the San Pedro Ceremony, and I am so glad I did. Mark and Chris facilitated, and I felt so cared for and safe. I healed deeply, and the experience was profoundly transformational. Thank you, Lesly and family, for creating this wonderful space! I am forever grateful and shall return. I can not recommend La Casa de la Gringa enough!! Much Love.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The rooms are definitely unique. The staff is friendly and very helpful when my tour did not show up. The location is very good in the middle of things to do but it is a little tricky to find.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location in San Blas
The staff is attentive and the ownership in alignment with purpose.
Love staying here each time I’m in Cusco
- George (8/5): - Great location near Plaza San Plas, pedestrian only area. Friendly staff and good basic breakfast.
There can be some street noise. The small bathrooms are shared but we'll maintained.
Overall really good atmosphere and value.
- Virginia (10/5): Charming stay - In a wonderful area near San Blas church and local mercado, lots of stairs and uphill walking so please be conscious of this if you're traveling with elders and those with altitude sickness. They were able to accommodate us very quickly in the morning before 11am so it was great to checkin early. The staff was very kind and helped out my mom a lot with her altitude sickness pills. Very charming room and cozy beds. Only negative was the bathroom shower, which had very little water pressure. Other than that we enjoyed the breakfast and tea. Great place in a picturesque town.
