• Liliana (10/5): Concepcion de Ataco - The hotel is a cute boutique style property. For the area the comforts were excellent, although the bed was a little on the hard side and there was very little hot warm, more like warmish. The views from the room are fantastic! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was yummy. If you plan on exploring know that the walk up the hill to the hotel is steep and on a cobblestone road. When we return we will stay here again.

• Ivonne (6/5): - Nothing outstanding about the hotel, except the nice view from the deck. Goodnight sleep, soft sheets and comfortable bed, except the pillows are too thick and cause neck pain. The bedrooms on the bottom floor have a stuffy smell and need to be aired out. Pick a room on the upper floor for nicer view. Breakfast opens at 8am but it took 30 minutes to be served.
• Paul (10/5): Amazing stay!! - First time staying if you aren’t familiar with the area you might say it’s old and outdated but it’s the best out in this area. Service is amazing - breakfast is amazing!!! It does have air and bedding is amazing. It has hot water too

• Tracy (8/5): - We rented two rooms, one on upper floor and one on the lower floor. The room on the lower floor had a strong smell of dampness, but no mold seen. They provided incense for all the rooms. The upper floor had intermittent hot water for showers. There were no end tables near the bed. There was cable and streaming options for tv although a bit challenging to navigate. Stable internet. The staff were nice, food was good and the view was worth the stay. Walkable to markets, church and town square with nice cafes and patios. Police walking around and a lot of families- seemed super safe and town seemed to close down before dark. Beautiful sunsets..

• Martin (8/5): - Lovely location in pretty town Breakfast starts at 8am .. way to late for hikers and no option for a takeaway breakfast Ordered steak in restaurant I asked for it rare and it was well done My Room was next to restaurant and very noisy esp with local live singer who tried hard but didn’t sing that well - she used a microphone and was very loud I couldnt get French doors or windows to close and staff unable to help

This was our favorite hotel out of all the hotels we stay at. This hotel was just beautiful. I highly recommended this hotel. The food at the restaurant was excellent. • Louis (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful property, just a short walk away from Ataco Town Square, and a 20-minute drive from Santa Teresa Thermal Hot Springs. Comfortable beds, decent warm water (a luxury in most of El Salvador), and a phenomenal restaurant with spectacular views all around. Small, quaint, quiet, clean. Plenty of easy (and free) parking onsite. Highly recommended!

Property and rooms in Ataco need to be updated. The service was excellent. The view and the restaurant were beautiful. • HOLLY (8/5): Great views but overpriced food and customerservce - The best part about this hotel is the view and nature! The worst part for us was the service at the hotel restaurant and overpriced food and small portions. Our waitress basicalled ignored us, took 10 minutes to bring a menu and another 10 minutes to bring our waters. Food is very overpriced. The charged 0.50 for ketchup and 0.50 for milk with my coffee. That was the last straw. No other restaurants on our trip did that! We had a regular double room booked but it was very tiny and like a box,made me claustrophobic. We had to pay to upgrade to stay in a bigger king size room with a view even though we were the only people at the hotel. Girl at the front desk and guy helping with our bags and finding our room were GREAT! The new room was great and we enjoyed getting out and eating at Piccolo Giardino ($10 artisan wood fired pizza delicious), checking out and getting coffee from Axul Cafe and THE BEST PART for me was visiting LAS BRUMAS on our way out of Ataco! Awesome iced coffee, bought coffee to bring back, customer service was impeccable and the walking paths/trees/coffee plants/lush vegetation was just MAGICAL!! Overall I wouldn't go back to this hotel or Ataco, but if you are going to Ataco, book a bigger room at Casa 1800 and eat elsewhere!
