Guest Reviews
- Michael (4/5): Close to beach but needs better maintenance - Great food, staff was very very helpful and tried to help make our stay comfortable.
Beach easily accessible. They couldnt find our reservation (said they can’t access booking.com reservations), room booked didnt match what was available. Had to change rooms due to “natural gas”/ raw sewage smell in room.
Bathrooms broken curtainrods, broken door (off hinges), sheets were stained with brown substance/ blood.
Sliding doors off the tracks. Walls very thin. Old man singing karakoke until midnight.
Tv didnt work.
Wifi didnt work in rooms. Had to go next to lobby tonuse WiFi and LOTS of mosquitoes.
- Helton (1/5): Said to be a 5 star hotel, unfortunately, it wasn’t even a 2 star, no hot water, no proper shower, very impressive food - Nothing Everything
- Irene (1/5): Bad - Broken shower. No Water heater even though they said they have, Rusty water and 75% of food on their menu is not available
- Andrew (1/5): AVOID AVOID AVOID - Great location but avoid this dump. Go to Bolo Beach Resort just a couple of hundred meters away. As a very seasoned traveller I have no hesitation in saying that this is the worst place that I have ever stayed in. Tiny room with no amenities which stank of urine & was not clean. No toilet seat, no toilet paper & was told "we do not supply soap. Bring your own." Had to get coffee table to stand on to plug hot water unit for shower in. Restaurant not open but offered an ice cream to buy. Would not have eaten in restaurant even if open - looked shocking. Not allowed to park car in property so had to leave car parked outside. Clueless staff who had no intention of offering any service. Terrible experience. Clearly abysmal management. Not a fit standard for international travellers.
- Lynne (3/5): Disappointing and wouldn’t stay again - Great beach view, staff friendly Pillows mouldy under pillow cases, no fresh coffee available, no curtains on windows only door. Door lock terrible and door wouldn’t slide properly at all. Stains on towels.
- Schindous (4/5): Enjoyed the visit of Hundred Island - The hotel is next to Bolo beach. There is a tourist office next to it where you can book various activities such as island hopping in Hundred Islands, Kayak, Snorkeling, etc. The staff are doing their best to give a good service and are always ready to help.
Free Wifi connection was good all over the place, including in the rooms Rooms and toilets : our room for 2 people was very small. It did not have a table and a very small wardrobe. Bathroom is below standard : toilet did not have a toilet seat cover. The flush was not working. There was a water heater in the shower but it was too dangerous to use : when I tried to fix it, I received an electric shock.
As per the booking, we should have a balcony : this was simply inexistant as it was the entrance of the room.
Breakfast was including in the booking : only local breakfast available and thanks to the staff, we could have some eggs, toasts, coffee and juice. Upon checking-out, the breakfasts were charged and I had to argue to cancel these costs.
Restaurant : on our first day, we were advised that kitchen would close at 6pm already since there were not enough customers. We could find another restaurant in another resort. The next days, we were able to order meals. The menu seams to be quite long but availabilities very limited.
Important advise : when coming by car, do not follow Google Maps/Waze itinerary as it brings you to a dead end / another resort. Better follow the many signage along the roads.
- Orry (6/5): Overall okay. - Tourist office in front of the hotel (to book the tours)
The beach
We booked the huts without aircon and with the shared bathroom but they offered us a 3 person bedroom with aircon so we changed rooms (because the shared bathroom was to dirty) The shared bathroom
- Karl (5/5): Passable -
- Richelle (1/5): Bad - The staff was great and the food as well The rooms, broken flush sa bowl, broken lock sa doors
- Ruth (1/5): Bad - Only the beach ⛱️. The location is nice but their service is really bad. 1.No complimentary breakfast. NO complimentary drinks nothing at all.
2. The rooms are not made when we check in
3. The electric fan they offer is damaged, so rusty
4. No towels available, I need to remind them to give us towels so bad!😑
5. Their mode of communication to the guests are so useless. They don’t know what they are doing.
6. They don't answer emails, even in messenger.
7. The shared toilet and shower are so dirty. You can't even shower good.
Overall experience so bad😒, the only consideration is the beach.
- Irah (8/5): Very good -
- Veronica (7/5): Good -
- Jeannie (8/5): Very good - the rooms is small
- Justine (3/5): Poor -
- Curties (6/5): Never go back again this resort - No music can't play because neighbors and have to order dinner early I love to enjoy my drinks before dinner last night we stay they asked for my order when I was at beach dinner was early all the guests eat same plates on the table I felt like we school children Staff bad attitude not appreciate
- Spencer (7/5): Bamboo resort and staff are wonderful but would not stay again because of lack of everything else - The staff were great, for local Filipinos this would be great but for foreigners not so good The property itself was good, but overall no great choices for eating, basically not much to do, everything water related was at 100 islands but even that one day is enough, I’ve been all over the Philippines and will go back, Boracay, Pawalwan, White beach and Sabang at Puerto Galera, Cebu, Bohaul. 100 islands no will not go back. If u do go GO prepared I forgot to get sunscreen before I left for the resort and could not get once I was there such a simple thing
- Veluna (1/5): Bad - The beach No water for showers and toilet.
Bbq menu - told it had to be ordered 1 day before when we wanted to order and eat BBQ that night.
- Nath (8/5): Very good -
- Renelyn (5/5): Passable -
- Dorothy (10/5): Nice - The food Toilet need fixing
- Eberhardt (3/5): Not worthwhile. - Breakfast and location was ok. The rooms were extremely small, I guess less than 10 square meter. The booking said '2 double beds'. There was one double bed with another single bed underneath. Unbearable for two adults and two kids.
- Anonymous (3/5): Great location, not so great amenities. - The location was right on the beach! The pancit from the restaurant was delicious. The air conditioning in the rooms worked well. The accommodations and amenities were a bit lackluster. The service at the restaurant was very slow and you aren’t allowed to bring in your own food and drink. There were also many dogs just peeing/pooping wherever they wanted with no one cleaning it up.
- Raya (3/5): Cool - Yes Yes
- Gertrudes (8/5): Our stay was nice - I liked the plenty supply of water.the aircon was cool.the beds are comfy It wasnt the property but the beach.seaweeds were washed to the shore
- Sonja (7/5): Nice place, could do some improvment - Our atay was quite ok, didn't spend much at the place as went island hopping and Patar and Tondol beach swimming... Stuff was nice, kind, all of them speak English, they helped us with everything needed... And they tried with what they have... Live music in the evenings was also very nice add... Also is one of rare resorts that clean beach every morning, in season when waves bring a lot of sea grass, looks much nicer. Outside area is very nice decorated, resort is really on the beach. The Satellite turist office for Hundred islands tour is also just next door and drink supply for island hoping at rhe same place...
We got quite tasty meals for island hopping lunch too, but islands offer an amazing fresh seafood and platters.
Towels and cleaning room are on demand, quite reasonable as they are almost part of Natural park.. Rooms were clean and AC very good working. Menu for free breakfast is very limited, rice, eggs and one another rprotein (meat, sausage, fish...) No coffee ot tea... Also dinner menu is very limited, actually variety of food on the menu is amazing, but many things are not available or barbacued dishes need to be ordered day ahead... So not much option when dinner is a same day decision.
Also 6am loud music is quite annoying on days when you are not going island hopping and would love to catch some holiday sleep...
Bring your own soap and shampoo or buy in a shop next door... Water for shower is only cold...Bathrooms are clean, but simple... Bring cash as whole area of Bolo beach, Hundred islands, turist office use only cash payment and some maybe Gcash. In resort we could pay our end bill with Gcash... No cards at all...
- Joselito (6/5): Pleasant -
- Steve (3/5): Poor - Comfortable bed very good Aircon Bathroom requires maintaining.ie sink falling of wall and leaking. Very bad smell from shower, shower rail detached from wall so can't use properly. Limited storage for clothes etc, no chair to sit on when changing. Road to resort really bad unless driving 4x4(road shown on Google maps is now private so can't be used)
- Miguel (9/5): nice long weekend - the room was clean and comfy some staff member They were a little rude
- Pamela (7/5): Good -
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (9/5): Superb - To relax and enjoy the cozy ambience of the resort and island hopping. Expensive food price offer.
- Richard (10/5): Thank you for hosting us - Breakfast was great
Friendly staff
Awesome views and location Nothing to complain about
- Alex (8/5): Location outstanding, customer service needs to be improved 100% - Location was fantastic, you couldn’t have asked for anything more. 100 islands tourism registration was next door and quick and easy to book our tour Customer service was none existent, there was one member of staff who was outstanding (Bembi) however when he was off shift it was terrible. Breakfast on day 1 there was no choice, and you had to chase the staff to even place the order. Drinks menu, no beer or milkshakes
- Osvaldo (8/5): Very good -
- Josephine (1/5): Bad -
- Petrlovigin (3/5): Poor - Just waiters. 1. jelly-fish in the sea. 2.sea it was dirty. 3. Facilities was very small not like on the image. It was very hot. There is no bathroom in the room but in room description they said they have. 4. In shared bathroom it was very dirty, wet on the floor, some frogs and no hooks for clothes in the bathroom. 5. In final bill they counted everything despite we have breakfast free. 6. The location is very far from city - it needs to pay approx.600 pesos back and fort. If I remember something else, I'll write it
- Alejano (2/5): Very poor - Nothing Nothing
- Rebamontan (10/5): Rooms were very clean, food availanle was great, just further than expected from 100 island activities. - Very clean, AC in the room was great and staff was very friendly and tried their best to accommodate. Beds were comfortable, towels and linens could be better but the price paid for the rooms and service was of great value. The food on the menu that was available was very good, and the staff was very considerate. Unfortunately mosquitoes got in my room. There was a ton of dragonflies too, which meant all the lizards were out to eat them! But it’s a tropical paradise so it is understandable. Due to flooding it was hard to find; lots of signs that pointed the wrong direction. Many things on the menu were not available.
- Roma (10/5): Great service and awesome resort! - The staff are very friendly, rooms are well maintained and really clean. The overall look of the place is very clean and well maintained. The food is amazing. We had great service from all the staff, they were all very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The resort is not too far from the Hundred Island tours. And all of the staff will help you to set up a boat for the tour. Will be back in this place again next time. Thank you all very much! The resort is a little bit hard to find with google maps and you must pay attention really well with the signs for the directions.
- Guseli (7/5): Good - The bedsheets were soft The bathroom could be improved
- Iis (8/5): its fun - its near the beach expensive food and no wifi
- Team (8/5): Relaxing and serene - I love this resort though it was too far from the city since it is situated in one of the islands i love the serenity. Just hoping next time we visit they can have card transactions for payment so it is hassle free =) for people who dont usually carry cash but overall i love it here No ATM machine close to the resort and they dont accept card pyment
- Milivoj (6/5): Pleasant -
- Maria (6/5): Not worth it for the price; good for one night stay if you will do island-hopping - Location; beach front. Beds are comfortable. Foods from the restaurant are delicious; hats off to the one cooking. Sound coming from the BR said due to high water pressure. Turning off manually the shut-off valve from time to time is very annoying. BR needs to be updated. Electrical outlet was loose in the room; they gave us an extensión though. Photos deceiving; room looks bigger but smaller. I upgraded for a better room for 6k more for 4 nights then went to the room I originally booked for the fifth night due to room unavailability.
Food outside not allowed but food from their restaurant menu is limited. Beach is not white; dogs are pooping on the shore. Nasty and gross beach to swim. Not worth it for the price.
- Jan (9/5): We had a great time - Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, beachfront, and free use of kayaks.
- Lilia (10/5): A day to remember in PAraiso - The food is so yummy and the staffs are very friendly and accomodating Facilty is kinda old . Bowl is not flushing well.nevertheless ww had a wonderful stay.
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - Food was good with generous proportion of servings, prices were reasonable as well.
Staff were very approachable and courteous.
Ample space for team building games.
Peaceful and relaxing environment. The location is farther than what we expected.
The sink, shower, and bidet in room 9 were rusty already. Perhaps it's time to replace these.
- Alcantara (8/5): Very good -
- Emily (3/5): Poor - Lovely location and the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating It was not clean, very basic no running water etc, yet the accommodation itself was incredibly expensive
- Maila (5/5): Its good.. with available restaurant and band during the night. Staff are accomodating and hospitable - Its near with the tourism The beddings have the poop of the lizard / cockroach and window / screen dirty
- Honeywell (9/5): Location is perfect for a 'Hundred Islands' trip & staff are superb. - The location is perfect if you will go to explore hundred island, the tourist registration is just next door. It could have been better if they have any other choice offering for breakfast meal. However, I specifically ask for a over and easy egg and a toasted bread, which was nice. Otherwise, we were going to have the usual Filipino breakfast which was not our first choice.
- Crisostomo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (4/5): Disappointing -
- Manuel (1/5): The road is closed and very bad. - Nothing good, Nothing good, 3 people only 2 towel, raining inside the room and space very small, no TV, very poor management, the road closed no one told us anything so we are lost finding this hotel. we talked to the next room and its exactly the same story.
VERY VERY POOR NEVER AGAIN.
I WILL TELL MY FREINDDS TO NOT GO THERE.
I WILL PUT ALL THIS IN THE FACE BOOK.
- Rehab (4/5): Only food for it's location - Location was perfect.....next to a tourism company which provides boats to the 100 islands. Staff were friendly. Got offered genius breakfast from booking.com, but the staff weren't informed. We had to show proof and they needed approval from their manager. Asked the staff if we could play Karaoke at 5 pm, but was refused because of loud sounds, but then others were using it till night. We didn't find it fair. Room was very compact. Nothing in the room except for beds. Facilities needs maintenance. Room mentioned sea view but there wasn't a view.
- Glen (6/5): It's a range... not that high, not that low. very near to the 124 Islands of Pangasinan. - We liked the services of the crew (most specially Ms. Melinda and Mr. Bimby). They're very accommodating and helpful. Offering their support whenever they see us.
Food is somewhat OK, not that fancy but it serves the need in times of crave.
The live band was also great, adding good vibes after a long tiring swim.
Lastly the neighbors are very pleasant, most specially Mr. Paul (Leo and Lea Boatman) and Ate Silay and Kagawad Arnel, their very accommodating and Kaboom! The receptionist (Jen), her effort in welcoming the guests should be leveled-up with energy and joy, with sincerity.
- Adah (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dirk (7/5): Good - pleasant conversation with owner/manager room size
- Torres (6/5): Pleasant - The location All the bathroom fixtures needs to be fix and update. Broken sink and shower heads .
- Auspanda (9/5): Superb - The Kabos were right on the beach The shower needs attention
- Amilee (8/5): Very good -
- Lorelay (7/5): Friendly staff. - Just next to boat registration for island hopping. No toiletries and no towels in the room.
- Esteban (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (5/5): Overall, the scenery from the Island Hopping was great? Enjoyed the cleanliness of the hundre islands. - The property is so far okay. The view was good. but the room and beddings
we’re not clean enough. Rooms are dirty, me and my family suffer for bed bug
bites. We haven’t brought food with us since it was
not allowed in the property but when we ordered -
waited for a long while and then they told us they
short of stuck since they have a lot of guests. Lastly, a
as we were there to relax especially with my kids -
how can they have an adult show (four models in
bikinis) ramped in the stage. Those were very visible
from the room and kids can see it and my daughter
was telling it was so cringe.
- Ann (9/5): Superb - Comfie
Beach front
The restaurant was good
Friendly staff There was no washing area before entering the room, so your room ended up lots of dirt inside.
- Alexa.b (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sheridan0614 (7/5): Good - Staff are great. Restaurant food is also amazing! Beach is safe for kids to swim, calm waters and perfect for that relaxing dip! Our bathroom in our room was leaking...we were transferred to another room after speaking to the manager about it.
- Janica (6/5): Pleasant - Approchable hotel staffs. Overcharging my credit card and booking.com is not responsive and didn't refund the money that they overcharged. Not recommended app. This will be my last booking with this app.
- Ken (5/5): Maganda yung resort but not comfy enough to stay for vacation. - We liked the visual appearance of the resort - Instagram worthy. Wifi is fast and reliable. The place is as described on the internet. Rest rooms aren’t clean - to think that they have enough staff. We booked their kubo so there’s only few amenities included BUT they still failed to maintain it.
- Maria (7/5): We all had a good time. Thank you so much! - there was only few people and we really had a good time with my family . Away from hustle and bustle of the city . The staff was exceptional. They accommodated us , cooked dinner for us even we came so late at night. So far from the city center. Just don’t go at night . The family room for 6 kinda small for us .
- She<3 (4/5): not comfortable sa room no cabinets or closet where you can keep your things.. not a usual hotel rm - just fine
- Raf (8/5): Very good -
- Portia (2/5): Very poor - beach front very strict rules, u cant bring your own food considering the area was very far from the town proper and market. no toilettries, no door lock , no towels, no warning signs or info n maraming jellyfish!
- Hipolito (10/5): Exceptional - We had an amazing stay at Bamboo Paraiso. The staff were very friendly. We got one of the Deluxe room and it's really cozy and clean. In addition, they are just beside the tourism office so its very easy to book a tour at Hundred Island. Lastly, I appreciate that the staff also has contact for tricycle to take you to Victory liner you don't have a car. My only concern is hopefully next time they allowed outside food or paluto. But nevertheless, everything was great! We are definetely going back.
- Laurence (8/5): great location to stay with daily outings to Hundred Islands - good aircon in the rooms. cafe/restaurant was quite good with friendly staff. hotel is right on the beach and bangka boats will pick you up there for hundred island tours room is small but comfortable
- Manaois (7/5): Good - I like all Shortage of food
- Lea (7/5): in general, our stay was okay but i hope they could improve more 😊 - 1) the staff are all great and very accommodating! they still afford to smile even though they are busy serving for dinner. 2) the resort is pet friendly. 3) the management allowed us to use the shared bathroom facility after our island hopping even though we've already checked out 1) it was in their policy that no outside foods and drinks allowed but the food choices in their restaurant is very limited, and most of what we ordered originally from their menu were not available. 2) there was no ref inside our room (deluxe double room with balcony and sea view); the restaurant gave us some ice for our drinking water but we understand that their supply is also limited. we had to buy ice (tubes) from the neighbor resort for 35pesos per plastic (small size). 3) we have no wifi connection inside are room, and our phone signal are down so we have to stay at or near the restaurant/common area to connect to the free wifi or to use our mobile data
- Jesica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joan (7/5): Good - Staff were friendly and helpful Electricity came off at around 3am? and it took time for it to return
- Kristine (5/5): Passable -
- Tzarina (5/5): It is a value for money resort. Nothing spectacular- just a basic resort. The fun however is not on this resort but your - The food was great! Also the price was fair. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very small for 4 adults. It should only be for a maximum of 3 people. Also the description of having a balcony was quite deceiving because if your unit is on the ground floor, like ours, the “balcony” was actually a shared balcony with the room on the second floor and for you to “enjoy” the balcony, you have to go up through an outside staircase. Also it was soooo far with waze showing confusing directions.
- Jerry (8/5): Very good - Very big room. The pool was nice. Not to far from the beach. Staff and food was excellent!
- Roger (8/5): Very good - Staff and locatikn Too much cars and
- Marvin (7/5): Good -
- Capobres (6/5): everything was okay only bad part was the toilet and bathroom - nice view toilet and bathroom
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (10/5): I will definitely be back here, very peaceful ambience and the property and staff will make you feel home as well.. - the staff are very nice and friendly, the room is so clean and comfy.. the food is delicious 😋 none, all is good 😊
- Joel (7/5): Good -
- Jesica (8/5): Very good -
- Rachel (3/5): Poor - I like that the rooms are very close to beach and the staffs are not that bad. The rooms are not clean..toilet and vanity was blocked..we didn’t use even the shower and the toilet is not that clean
- J. (9/5): Superb - The staff was quite nice and tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The bamboo hut was directly at the beach and our food was delivered there which was quite a nice ambiente to dine. The flush of the toilet was broken, but useable due to the typical bucket and water system. We found out, that there was another one, which was quite nice and clean.
- Jesse (8/5): Very good - The location is a bit remote but it is quiet and safe. The staff are helpful and the food at the restaurant is good. The resort is very near the Hundred Islands and you can book your trip conveniently from here. Some of the facilities need upkeep and maintenance.
- Karen (8/5): Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did! xkx - Me, my sister & my mum shared a room for two nights and had a very relaxing stay enjoying the peace & views of Bolo Beach :o) ..the staff at Bamboo Paradiso were really helpful & friendly (especially Arcie & Sammy!), making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible!
We really enjoyed the tasty food available & it was great that the staff could book a boat to collect us directly from the beach so we didn't have to go into Alaminos to arrange a 100 island boat trip - we will definitely stay again next time!
- Storozhenko (7/5): Good - Very good location. Friendly and flexible staff.
- Lailani (5/5): Passable -
- Dien (6/5): Pleasant - Beachfront location
Good food
Chilling & relaxing vibe The common CR is really dirty that needs to fix
Room needs to have complement water
Breakfast included should be good to consider
