- Nikhil (10/5): - We had booked a special birthday trip with the grandparents in May 2025. The resort is special and has a great pool and water park that we felt were not as well advertised as they were standout features of the resort. They had dance shows yes, magic shows and other activities poolside every single night we were there, which everyone really enjoyed. We traveled in a large group ranging from 4 to 74 years old, and everyone had something to do at this place which we liked. The restaurants were varied and all generally very nice, although the concierge level service helped getting reservations as this was a busy time at the property. Our little girl turned 4 and the concierge planned a nice celebration and decorations to make it extra special for her. The only negative I had was the private tour operator they had in the resort Who frankly should be banned as they do not run a professional operation. We were promised something end got something quite different when we booked a boat trip with them, which left a bad taste in the mouth at the end of what would otherwise have been a magical memorable trip for our daughter with her grandparents.

Their family concierge service was of no benefit and the process for making reservations at the various specialty restaurants within the facility was almost entirely ineffectual. We tried to get reservations and the specialty restaurants for each night we were there, but were told they could only accommodate half of our group but then the restaurants were half empty. Frustrating.

We stayed in a Master suite with an adjacent connected Junior suite, which was perfect for our family of five and provided convenient space for everyone. **Check-in Experience** The check-in process had some complications. Although we were charged for our stay several days before arrival, the front desk claimed they couldn’t locate the payment when we arrived. Despite showing them the charge on my card app, we had to pay again with a different physical card. Due to conflicting information from management about refund timelines, I ultimately had to file a dispute with my credit card company. **Dining** The food quality was excellent overall, though the dining experience had mixed results. The main buffet was outstanding and consistently satisfying. However, the specialty restaurants were disappointing for several reasons: - Reservations were difficult to secure upon arrival - The daily booking requirement was inconvenient - Portion sizes were extremely small - more like appetizers than full meals - After trying two restaurants, we found ourselves returning to the buffet like many other guests **Entertainment** The entertainment program needs significant improvement. **Recommendation** Despite the payment issues and restaurant limitations, the quality of the rooms stay was pleasant.

We had family concierge which we were really happy with. Fransua was extremely helpful and went out of his way. If you’re thinking of family concierge, we definitely recommend you ask for him. I contacted the hotel before we got there and they had champagne and cake for my mother when we got to the room we had two swim Suites, Susana was our concierge she was amazing! Luisa checked us in and all my family members she was awesome! Room service takes about one hour or so , so you have to order ahead of time but the choices are delicious. Tori staff and Peruvian restaurant as well as the steak were very attentive and on top of their game, Daniel the bartender was the best!! he even made cocktails for my six-year-old kids, and carlos was assigned to to bring us drinks to the swim area where we had our rooms, I can’t even begin to describe this man, so Friendly professional always happy and never ever got our drinks wrong ! Wishing all the staff the best! We will be coming back soon

Staff were inconsistent about what services could be provided. The food was the worst I have eaten at the specialty restaurants except for maybe the Tori (the Asian restaurant). The food was cold, didn’t have any taste. I spent almost $150 in tips and had to get connected and encouraged to get a Conceirge. This was the only way to get reservations in the restaurants and get good service at the bars.

Unfortunately, while we were there we couldn't really enjoy the beach due to seaweed. At night the water acrobatic show was nice and enjoyable to watch while in the main pool. Speaking of the pools, it was nice that the pools were open until 11 pm. This is a bit unusual compared to other resorts we've stayed at in Punta Cana (ex. Hard Rock) where the pools close at around 6 to 7 pm.

Sigue siendo buen hotel pero esos detalles le quitan la excelencia que los caracterizaba, sin mencionar que las playas llenas de sargazo y mal olientes.( para todos los hoteles Punta Cana)

We were a big group and all are vegetarians and the food options at the restaurants are so limited that we had to eat the same thing almost everyday. The restaurants were hard to book because they couldn’t accommodate a big group like ours. We were lucky to even get a reservation to the restaurants. You have to book way ahead in advance or end up eating at the buffet hall which had very limited options. Avoid this resort at all costs.

I wish they had more activities and events because we felt like other resorts in Punta Cana offered more.

- Kamron (10/5): - Paradise Found – Luxury, Fun, and Family Memories for a Lifetime! OMG—walking onto this property felt like stepping into paradise! Pure luxury and upscale vibes from the moment we arrived. Staff was warm, friendly, and delivered high-end service every single day of our 7-day stay. Rooms were a perfect 10—upscale, spotless, and spacious. Amenities were incredible: private pools, a spectacular Aqua Zone kids’ water park, daily activities for all ages, and a safe, vibrant atmosphere with plenty of space so it never felt crowded. The private beach was stunning, with shaded chairs, food/drink service, and a gorgeous shoreline for long walks. Most days we went from the Aqua Zone kids’ water park to the private beach, then the private pool, and finished in the hot tub at night. Dining service was top-notch and restaurant décor beautiful—food could be better, but the buffet was pretty good. Once on property, you spend nothing except tips. I spent about $300–$400, so bring singles (I only had $10s and $20s). The hotel or staff never pressures you to tip, but the staff works so hard but its your choice. We’re already planning to return in December with the whole family—truly a lifetime memory!
- Mark (6/5): - Let’s start off by saying this was my second time staying at this hotel. I returned because my first experience was lovely. This time around was not, to start when checking in i was charged for my daughter even though i had already paid. I was not allowed to check in and was told i had to take it up with Expedia. Still waiting on the refund btw. The package i got included a concerige service, the guy was an absolute mess and unorganized. Never had our dinner reservations done. On a positive note the food is excellent at this resort and that stayed pretty consistent. I noticed it wasn’t as high end as it was the year prior. I was told it was under new ownership and they were cutting cost. You could tell. Overall i will not be returning to this hotel.

They also have different activities to do at night and that was a plus. The drawbacks I would say was the drinks and the service around the pool area and inside the buffet. But if you sat on the outside area of the buffet the service there was fantastic.

- Michael (8/5): - I was given a room upgrade, but basically I had to request my rights as a VIP member of the reservation. I got the upgrade, but it was a bit stressful. I received all the amenities at the end, but, for example, I needed to request a bottle of sparkling wine and that was it. Last time, I was greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine, fruit, nuts, etc. The VIP reception was at the regular reception, and the time before that, it was at the private reception. So, I felt like booking VIPs on Expedia were losing interest or exclusivity. This trip, I was able to enjoy three nights at specialty restaurants, which I barely managed to enjoy the last time, just one. I want to thank concierge George for helping me with that reservation, and the young woman who works at the front desk, who understood my situation from the previous trip and was able to find me two more reservations. The hotel is still in magnificent condition, but I think if they stop paying attention to the small details, it won't be the same over time.

- Aimee (8/5): - Es un hotel muy bonito, tranquilo, con la playa a 5 minutos por el transporte del hotel y 15 minutos caminando. Reservamos en esta ocasión por 2 noches, lo malo que al llegar ya no puedes reservar en algún restaurante a la carta porque te dicen que el check in es a las 3 y según la chica que hace la reserva para estos la cual trabaja hasta las 4 de la tarde, dice que la reserva no cae para registrarse en uno de estos restaurantes para cenar en la primera noche. Para la segunda noche nunca hay disponibilidad para cenar a la carta, el que va por dos noches siempre tiene que adaptarse a lo que tenga el buffet aunque generalmente cada día tiene una temática diferente. En nuestro caso fuimos a quejarnos al servicio al cliente y nos atendió una supervisora que nos ayudó con las reservas, la primera noche en el restaurant tori donde nos sirvieron un asado súper delicioso y la segunda noche en karnica, muy bueno también. Las bebidas del hotel son de buena calidad. Algo un poco incómodo es que ya como a las 12 o 1 del día no encuentras toallas para playa. Pero en general fue una estadía agradable.
- Iraida Eva (4/5): - We recently stayed at Paradisus Grand Cana for 5 days with our family and were very disappointed with the overall experience. While the property looks nice in photos, it fell far short of expectations in many key areas. The buffet was particularly awful. The area where the cheese, ham, and bread were displayed was constantly swarming with flies, very unhygienic and unappetizing. The food overall lacked flavor and variety. When we first arrived, the bed in our room had hair all over it, and the bathroom smelled like feet. We immediately reported this to the front desk and were moved to a different room, which we appreciated. However, we had booked two rooms and were placed in different buildings; one in Building 3 and the other in Building 5. To be in the same building, we were forced to pay an additional $475 for an upgrade, which felt unreasonable given our original booking. One highlight was the concierge assigned to us (We had the Concierge package (gold band)), he was very attentive and helped set up our room with special decorations and a cake for our son’s celebration, as requested. This thoughtful gesture was much appreciated and made a positive impact during our stay. Additionally, the water park was a hit with our kids, clean, well-maintained, and fun. This was our fourth time visiting Punta Cana, and sadly, this was by far the worst hotel we’ve stayed at. The experience wasn’t completely terrible, but it certainly wasn't what we expected. We won’t be returning.

- Samantha (4/5): - I believe my experience was not the best. When we arrived we went into the family concierge lobby to be checked in. The staff seemed to be annoyed by the presence of children. As we were checking in, we were not noticed of any of our “vip bonus” like the spa credit for the $200 resort credit for booking the rooms. They rushed us in and out of the check in with absolutely no information about how to book the restaurants or when we were able to reserve. The gentleman at the check in said “your butter will contact you to book the restaurants. Today you can’t reserve at any of the a la carte dining but tomorrow you will be able to with the help of your butler”. Well… needless to say I was never contacted by our “butler”. Thankfully we had two rooms and my friend did get in contact with him. Although, for no reason. Not once was he able to get us in a restaurant to eat when we asked. The only dining experience we had was at Tori, which was great. After that we were stuck at the buffet for 6 days because he could not accommodate us anywhere. We were 8. 4 people per room. To top it off, after speaking with staff we were so upset and could not even take the smell of the buffet anymore … the butler messaged us at 5:42pm that we have a reservation at 6:00pm. Make it make sense …. How are we supposed to get ready in 20 mins. Punta Cana is usually a place of excellent service. But we was not happy at all. No sort of accommodation was done for us.

Check-in was a bit slow, but it is high season. The room was very nice but not exactly what we had reserved, two double beds adjacent to each other. Instead, we were given a King with a sofa bed for the third person. It worked out but not as comfortably for our granddaughter. The beach does not live up to the reputation of Bavaro Beach.

However, I was disappointed because my concierge never reached out to me, leaving us to eat at the buffet daily as I was unsure how to make a reservation. I called multiple times, was transferred, and received no response. When I visited in person, I spoke to someone who asked for my name and number, but still, no assistance was provided. On my third visit in person, they finally helped me, but it was my last day, so I couldn’t book a dinner reservation. They should have accommodated me since I hadn’t dined at any restaurant during my stay. I’ve been to Live Aqua and El Faro (three times), and they are much friendlier. I loved the water park and swim-up room we had. The only other thing I didn’t like was that there is only one large pool; usually, there are a few different pools in resorts.

Leonela went above and beyond every single day – helping us plan our activities, arranging dinner reservations, and always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. She was kind, sweet, supportive, and consistently helpful – a true gem! The all-inclusive experience was exactly what we needed – stress-free and full of joy. We simply ate, drank, enjoyed the sun, the beach, the pool, and even had amazing massages. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our suite was spotless and spacious, and the pools were always clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to return – thank you Paradisus for giving us a vacation to remember!

We chose the butler option expecting an enhanced experience, but it didn’t deliver on its promises. Check-in was unwelcoming, and the staff seemed bothered by the fact that we had children in our group. On the first night, we couldn’t get dinner reservations because our butler wasn’t available until the next day. Once he arrived, he secured a reservation at Tori, which was underwhelming except for the tartare. From day one, we requested the steakhouse, but it never happened. By day three, the only option we were offered was a 9:30pm reservation—completely unrealistic for a group with children. The next night, no effort was made, and we were sent to Mangú, which we had already eaten at multiple times for lunch, trying to avoid the repetitive buffet. On our final night, we met other guests who had no butler service and still managed to dine at the steakhouse their first night. That confirmed how poorly we were managed. When we raised our concerns with customer service, no one seemed to care. To top it off, our butler texted us at 5:40pm with a 6:00pm dinner reservation—again, not practical with kids. We were also supposed to receive a $200 credit for our room and $90 toward the spa, but we were never informed about either during our stay. Our complimentary bottle of wine arrived the night before we were leaving—too little, too late. The overall service was unfriendly,
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wish I had a better experience - The food in this resort is horrible! I got sent a raw burger 3 times! It always comes cold and nasty!!!! I went to the buffet and the waiter came up to my table and took out plates before being done with our food!! (The uncooked meats sits in its blood for hours until someone asks for it to be cooked on the grill)! (The bathroom was my best friend the first 2 days) Every time we went to make a dinner reservation she said no the restaurants were full, which is untrue because we walked by them and they weren’t!! The only issue I had was that there was a wedding at the resort and our room was next to one of the wedding guest and they always arrived late night, drunk and loud, and we can hear them loud and clear, even in private affairs! We called the front desk and they handle the situation (both nights). My recommendation to the property is that the start accommodating wedding guest next to each other so they won't bother other guests sleep.

- Liliana Amaro (2/5): - Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel did not meet expectations. While we were hoping for a fun and relaxing family vacation, the resort felt almost entirely geared toward children. Nearly all activities were kid-focused, and there was very little offered for adults. One major disappointment was the lack of entertainment by the pool. Music was only played in the mornings during the aerobics class, and even then, it was very low-volume and more like lullabies or Disney songs—not energizing at all. The atmosphere felt lifeless for most of the day. The animation team didn’t seem engaged or interested in interacting with guests. On top of that, we made a restaurant reservation more than 24 hours in advance, and when we arrived, we were told there was no space. The supervisor claimed the reservation was never made, despite us having arranged it with plenty of notice. That felt frustrating and poorly handled. To be clear—we love kids, but this resort should be more transparent on its website that it’s primarily designed for families with young children. If you’re looking for relaxation with little ones, this might be a good choice. But if you’re hoping for adult activities, fun, or a more balanced atmosphere, I wouldn’t recommend it.

- Chantel (10/5): - This was our 7th time in this hotel. It always feels like home. Going to miss a lot of people from here. Always willing to help and always with a smile. Our son got sick while we were staying here with a bad cold and every single person was asking about him, trying to help us. Always sad to leave. But till next year!

- SHAWN (2/5): - They asked us to pay to upgrade our stay to family master concierge service. He tried to be available for us, but he was clearly not extremely busy and would send us to the bellboy and forget to provide requested services. I would have to send multiple messages and reminders. The house cleaning was horrible. We had to stay out of our room for hours while the room was being cleaned, although we left 8:00 AM, and were told house cleaning starts at 9. We were often left outside until 3 PM. My son got sick from old beef pasta and threw up and then the water shut off in the hotel so we had to wait to clean our son up. Our trip was to celebrate his birthday, and the amount of pushback and frustration, and speaking to managers I had to do it as insane. It was horrible. I couldn’t wait to leave. We paid for all inclusive, and had to go off the resort several times to buy food. Just a waste of money, I would never ever stay here again. They asked to complete the pre arrival form, and that was a waste of time! The manager, Pilar is disgusting and lacks any compassion or customer service. Milagros made an attempt to support us, but the damage was done by the time she intervened, literally the night before we left.
