- Wes Wales (8/5): Clean room great staff good value for money - Clean comfy accommodation staff were excellent and the adjoining pub had a good menu and drinks selection. Great value for money and good central location. Room was a bit dated but nothing really bad.
- Kerry (8/5): -
- LEYDIER (7/5): - Gratuité et proximité du parking.
Proximité du pub pour le dîner.
Facilité d'accès sans escaliers à monter.
Chambre très calme. Bonne literie. Salle de bain douche vieillissante.
Pas de restauration petit-déjeuner.
- Derek (9/5): Lovely stay again thank you - Great location & attached to the Saracens Head pub & main Stratford Rd Everything good
- Andrew (10/5): Excellent stay, ideally located -
- Stephen (9/5): - Location of hotel was brilliant, friendly staff
- Maxine (3/5): Needs a renovation. - Location that is it. Place needs a renovation, old and worn out. Floor creeks, pain is old, walls are dirty.
- Shropshire (8/5): Good value stay - Good communication, friendly staff on arrival. The bar being adjoined to the rooms is great. Good value for money, although our room was classed as deluxe room, I would call it basic with everything you need. Water pressure is great in the shower. Unfortunately someone before us had been smoking in the room and it smelled strongly of it. I mentioned it next day, the morning staff said I should have come and told them and they would have changed our room. I'm sure they would have.
- Robert (8/5): Great - Great location any easy access More tea and coffee lol
- Peter (3/5): Dated accommodation in need of TLC, smells appalling, staff very friendly - Bed was comfortable, day time receptionist was very friendly and pleasant Strong smell of faceas in corridor, strong smell of cigarette smoke in our room after it had been serviced ( reported to staff) cracked tiles in shower, overall very dated and in need of refurbishment
- Leah (9/5): -
- Molly (1/5): Cheap for a reason - Location is great Beds were hard as a rock, couldn’t reach staff in the night when people were slamming doors and shouting, the lady we first spoke to when entering and getting the room was friendly and polite though
- Leah (10/5): -
- Lorna (8/5): - Staff very friendly ,great location, food was brillant
- Kumari (10/5): Comfortable, close to shops, restaurants and transport. Friendly staff. Clean room. - Really friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable. Value for money hotel. I was happy with my stay. There was nothing i didn't like. Great for a budget hotel.

- Tracy (8/5): Convenient location & parking, basic but clean and comfortable. - Value for money and cleanliness. Would have liked 2 coffees and a water.
- Craig (10/5): Best cost performance out there! - There's simply no better value for money hotel in the area than Red Wings. It's not flashy but it gets everything right, which - considering the price - is very impressive. The staff are always amazing, so friendly and efficient. Beds are comfy and clean. It's quiet, it's a very convenient location. All good! The WiFi wasn't secured so I didn't use the WiFi.
- Lauren (9/5): - Great location
Rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable beds
Shower was great Not a dislike at all but tad dated
- Vira (6/5): -
- jason (8/5): Basic but clean and tidy - good value - Friendly staff, car park view from the hotel room and very convenient, also clean and tidy. Breakfast was not very good at the restaurant that's connected.
- Carol (9/5): -
- Talitha (9/5): Great little hotel. - The beds were extremely comfortable, rooms were clean. Lady on the reception was very helpful and friendly. One of our rooms didnt have lamps by the door which meant either darkness or harsh light in the evening. Cleaners entered one of our rooms while we were out and do not disturb sign was on the door.
- colin (8/5): -
- Soraya (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): - Easy reach of airport. Pub next door good with decent food. Very noisy
- Soraya (10/5): Perfect place with good bus connections - The location was good because you have a bus stop just in the sidewalk of the hotel. The connection with the centre is good. The staff was so friendly and they let us to do the early check in even earlier. There is a pub with good food and drinks. So perfect to visit Solihull and to have a nice stay there.
- Joey (9/5): -
- Joseph (9/5): Definitely come back! - Staff were amazing, really friendly and welcoming! Room was spacious, loads of TV channels and comfy bed.
Car park is big and plenty of places to eat in walking distance. Only things that wasn't so great was you have to run the water for a while, at first it comes out orange/brown. Thought it was a one off when we got there but it did it again in the morning. The other being the fan/extractor thing that was right outside our window - meant we couldn't have the window open and got quite stuffy!
- Deborah (8/5): -
- Robert (10/5): - Friendly staff very welcoming

- Carolyn (6/5): Convenient stay for visiting family - It was convenient for us to visit family, it was a good price and importantly for us, we could bring our dog. It was clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of soundproofing. We could hear every door being opened and closed, which was disturbing when it was late at night.
- Kuljit (7/5): Good - Good location
Kind staff Shower was small
Some black mould in shower cubicle
Carpet in bedroom didn’t feel clean
- Steve (10/5): Excellent value for money - Stayed there a number of times - pricing/location/quality and staff courtesy excellent N/A
- Constantinos (10/5): Beyond expectation for a 3 star hotel! - Met 3 different members of staff in reception over the 3 days we were at the hotel along with 2 of the housekeeping staff. I can only say how INCREDIBLY professional and welcoming they all were!! They are a true ASSET to the hotel and deserve all the praises!!
- Gordon (10/5): - Been many times and is ideal for necc great having the pub next door for food room is always to good standars great overall stay Always advertise a much lower price than I have ever paid
- Manisha (7/5): Great location good for the price. Would stay again only cause of the location - The location Bathroom dirty an beds not comfy
- Alison (8/5): Reasonable value for money - Staff great, parking free My room was an accessible one and the grab rails etc in the bathroom could have been cleaner. No breakfast facility.
- Ian (8/5): -
- richard (10/5): Great location free parking - Price, location and free parking Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): Lovely stay - Spacious room, comfy bed, extra pillows.
friendly staff, affordable pricing.
- Iain (7/5): Amazing staff the owners are lucky to have such pleasant and wonderful staff - The staff were really great one guys was so amazing he was so helpful he couldn’t do enough for me he realised I was disabled and tried to get me another room that wasn’t up stairs and when he couldn’t he carried all my luggage to the room for me always asked if I need help he was amazing the room was lovely clean and the bed was very comfortable The only thing that’s I could say I disliked that wasn’t really big deal was the toilet roll wasn’t roll it was sheets of paper like in school but wasn’t really a big deal as shops are close by to get things I wanted not necessarily needed
- Endicott (10/5): I had a very pleasant stay and Joy on reception was wonderful really helpful - It was clean and comfortable and had everything I could possibly need. The staff were fantastic and so helpful and welcoming I will definitely stay again Nothing
- Mark (8/5): -
- Parkin (3/5): It was adequate for my needs. Glad I only had the one night. - The bed was comfortable. Bathroom needed revamping. The door into the parking area kept banging with people going in and out. (I was on the second floor.)
The walls weren't very thick. I heard many bangs and cupboards closing throughout the early morning.
- Adam (9/5): -
- Elaine (8/5): -
- Kim (10/5): - The room was clean & comfortable the housekeeping & reception staff were amazing friendly but professional, we were there almost a week & the fact you could go directly into the Saracens Head bua a doir in tge reception of the hotel was a bonus
The bed was very comfortable which is something you do worry about when you are our age Nothing
- Welsh (9/5): -
- Debbie (10/5): Brilliant little find - Everything was great, great location, and staff so friendly and helpful.
Free car parking - bonus
- Hough (9/5): Perfect stay with a dog - The staff were fantastic. Appropriately friendly, helpful and informative.
For us it was perfect, we had our dog with us (as we were attending Crufts) so the fact that there were already one or two little stains on the carpet and the paint work wasn't freshly done meant we could relax and enjoy our stay. Pleased to say that we didn't add to the stain count!
All the bedding and towels were pristine.
- Ryan (10/5): -
- David (7/5): - Free parking, room was basic but clean. Staff were very helpful. Location was good for our needs. We left some meds in the fridge but we were unable to collect them when we wanted as there was nobody on reception. We waited about 20 minutes but had to return later. That was an unnecessary journey.
- Christine (5/5): Rodent activity in the car park - Breakfast good Needs a bit of updating
- Hakam (10/5): -
- Michael (10/5): -
- Ali Raza (10/5): -
- gavin (9/5): -
- Higgins (10/5): - Great location, good bus route,to all areas, if you haven't got a car, friendly staff.
We had some lovely meals at the Sarecens head pub which is just a walk through from Redwings. The bar at the Saresens head pub, connected to Redwings closed its bar at 9.45 on one of the evenings, reason (not enough people in ) didnt have the option of another drink as the tills had been cashed up ?
- Neil (9/5): -
- Lloyd (10/5): -
- Jill (10/5): - Good location Having a bar attached to the hotel
- Fariha (10/5): - The staff was amazing like always. Cleanliness was great. Room service was super. No issues at all. We loved our 4 nights stay.
- Sasidaran (9/5): -
- Jessie (7/5): -
- Gisele (10/5): -
- Aliya (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): - Clean, lovely receptionists, quiet
- Sally (10/5): Excellent - Close to restaurants and close to where I needed to be It was great all in
- Sarah (1/5): Very disappointed, room was not as requested stated, - Requests not met, I tried several times to contact the hotel directly and constantly rang out, I didn’t stay at the hotel I paid extra for a non chargeable refund, I’ve emailed a complaint with supporting pictures on dirty room, had not been cleaned and most importantly 0 customer service, they had my number on the booking if they could not meet the request, I was not contacted I tried contacting them and no answer on any of my attempts all of wich I’ve had pictures of and proof on the room I ended up booking at a different hotel further down the road.
Not happy and haven’t had any response to my emailed complaint.

- Michael (8/5): Good stay great location And leisure Pub facilities will always try and book here than anywhere else when we come to the - My wife is disabled and they only have one room for reduced mobility this time round we didn’t have the room we normally do it was gone (but we may it work) It’s a great location and the pub connected to the hotel which is very convenient and safe. You can just walk through the reception door so you don’t even have to go outside. The food is exceptionally good in the restaurant drinks are priced a little higher than I’d like. But affordable. We really like the location it’s very safe and has all shops and facilities you would need within a few hundred yards either side of the road. There’s also a Wetherspoons which is about 100 foot if you want a late drink. It’s also very safe there as they have security personnel on duty. It’s approximately 2 miles from my 83 year-old mother and father’s house, which is our main reason for visits so will continue to use the facility providing this availability. It’s always good to book Wayne in advance because the rooms go quick. And we’ve had to stay in other places in the past reluctantly the cost of the room is fair if you use some of the other sites not just this one. I find. Agoda apps to be the cheapest. With best discounts.
There’s always plenty of drink facilities for coffee and tea and if you run sure you can grab more at reception
Cleanness It’s always clean and the beds are well-made. The beds are very lumpy higher than a normal bed and I always wake up with a bad back. Or my hips hurt. Could do with upgrading to memory foam in this day and age they’re not expensive. This also goes for the pillars. One final thing is the toilet tissue is horrendously hideous small bits of very thin paper that you have to gather in many multiple attempts and are not suitable for wiping your arse could do with proper toilet roll.
The hotel is pet friendly and my wife is highly allergic to animals and there’s always something in the air in the rooms that make her cough and suffering from COPD I find I am continuously giving her steroid puffer or using the nebuliser. Don’t know how you get round this so we just put up with it.

- Claire (9/5): - Very quiet considering the location.
Comfortable bed with good quality pillows, extra heating available which was welcome.Good hot shower with quality big bath towels. I had not come across the toilet paper in a dispenser before in a hotel room
..
- David (10/5): Excellent ! We’ll be back if in the area again. - It exceeded expectations in all areas, we were pleasantly surprised by the standard and the bed was very comfortable a good nights sleep & excellent value for money. Nothing
- Michael (6/5): -
- Mark (7/5): Was good value for money, but would defo ask for a room change if allocated a room next to an entrance door. - The staff were lovely on checkin (joy)
Excellent location and clean comfy bed. Room was right next to the main entrance door to that floor and constant banging all night. Bathroom was slightly mouldy around the shower unit.
- Alan (9/5): Short stay - Clean, everything worked, decent shower and free parking. Nothing.
- Adam (8/5): -
- Kazim (10/5): It was comfortable and peaceful clean okay 👍 - Everything is good 👍 All friendly staff
- Mark (8/5): Lovely staff, location not so great if not a 'local'. - Lovely and very helpful staff. Nice to know they have several locations too. Bit run down in the bathroom areas. Ants found in the bathroom of my friends room (although staff were quick to move them to another room). Location isn't great, we got stared at and shouted at, several times.
