Beds were clean and comfortable. Felt wonderful climbing into that after a long day. Warm towels and a robe made showering feel fantastic! The complimentary breakfast was very well stocked and they cooked fresh to ensure there was warm food for everyone. If I were to travel in the area again I would absolutely stay here again! The staff are extremely attentive – from the receptionist to the restaurant team, everyone was helpful and welcoming. We were travelling with our nine month old, and the baby cot provided was comfortable, as were the beds. The room had great amenities, and overall we felt very comfortable. The only minor downside was the shower/bath, which is a bit dated and could benefit from being updated. That said, the food at the restaurant was good, and breakfast offered nice options and was enjoyable. A charming place to stay if you are exploring the Highlands.

- Shane (10/5): - This was one of my all time favorite locations for a hotel in Scotland - out in the remote highlands, misty mountains and lush green valleys with rivers running through. The bedrooms were decorated perfectly to fit the vibe and were cozy, although a little small. It was quiet, even leaving the windows open to let the fresh air in (as long as you were on the side of the hotel facing out to the mountains). The part that really hit home was the breakfast in the morning which was in the most epic part of the restaurant privately reserved for guests with a delicious breakfast buffet. It looked more like a Switzerland lodge. The staff were excellent the whole time. The only issue we had was a later checkin (9:30 pm) where the phone number on the door was unreachable that left us in a bit of a panic to not get in for about 20 minutes but we were able to go next door to the staff accommodations and get someone to let us in. Across from the hotel is their cafe and this was a staple spot to get caught up on laptop work during our trip, with excellent wifi speeds and good coffee. We loved it and would make this a for sure stop on the way to the Isle of Skye.

- Jason (4/5): - First off, if you plan to stay here, plan to drive a half hour away minimum to get food from a restaurant. The food in their restaurant is quite literally frozen reheated food, and it cost ~$100 USD per meal for two people. The hotel itself is surrounded by beautiful mountains and the staff are very friendly. That being said, there was nothing special about this hotel at all, and with a ~$400/night price tag, I was thoroughly disappointed. I would not stay here again.

Comfortable and very welcoming staff who were constantly there to help with any requests. Great facilities, evening meal was lovely, breakfast wasn’t tasting very fresh which was surprising.

- Iain (6/5): - When we arrived at the hotel no one was at reception, we had to find a member of staff in the restaurant. The room was fine, nothing exceptional, and the window did not shut properly (a theme round the hotel). There was a bath in the bathroom, but this could only be filled from the shower as there were no taps! There is no where else around to eat (which we guessed when we booked, so not a fault of the hotel), so eating in the hotel is the only option. The menu had various different options from pizza to Indian meals and traditional English meals. I ordered the fish and chips to be told ‘there was a problem with the fryer’ so this was not available. We were sat by a window which had a draft blowing through it. My wife asked a member of staff to close the window, he said he didn’t know how to so would get someone else to do so, no one came to look at the window. The food was OK, nothing amazing. Again breakfast was OK but nothing special. We were asked to book a time when we arrived at the hotel, there was no reason for this. Overall, there is generally nothing wrong with the property (apart from the windows) and the staff were all pleasant, but there is nothing special and the hotel as well the meals are overpriced for what you get.
- Robert (10/5): - To be honest, I made a mistake in booking here. BUT what an AWESOME mistake! I meant to book in the city of Inverness. At first, I was disappointed in myself. But then I got there. The beauty is intense. And wait there’s more. About 200 feet from the Inn is what turns out to one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done in my life. The beauty is so intense it kinda brings tears to your eyes. The Inn is sooo charming. And their food is insanely delicious! I had salmon one night, and I think it was the most delicious salmon I’ve ever eaten. Their breakfast buffet is awesome with tons of choices. I stayed 3 nights and hiked my face off each day. I was not in a car and it was really easy to get a bus from Inverness bus station (next door to the train station). I highly recommend if you love hiking and then down time in a charming Inn with delicious food. I can’t say enough good things.

Our room was separated from the main inn and we had 2 rooms above us. The walls and floor were paper thin. The upstairs neighbors were up all hours of the night and it was a rough night's sleep. The room TV had satellite but only 4 channels worked.

- Elizabeth (10/5): - This is a gem of a hotel in the middle off the Highlands, isolated and peaceful. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such excellent Indian cuisine on the menu along with traditional fare.

You could tell that the owners appreciate their guests. Quite a few midges in the area so be prepared. Selling some spray on site would help.

- Liam (8/5): Wake up amongst the snow capped mountains - The hotel is part of a local chain Black Sheep Hotels, but has a very independent family feel. Greeted by a fire at reception it instantly gave a warm welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and the restaurant meal was contemporary. The room was warm, inviting and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only frustration about our room was there was an interconnecting corridor door that constantly was banging with people going to their rooms. Breakfast was ample and a mixture of continental and cooked we both really enjoyed it. Would love to stay there again lovely hotel.

It has been finished to a very high standard with high end furnishings, bed linen, towels and toiletries. Breakfast and lunch were fabulous and the service is fantastic! Highly recommend.
- Moira (10/5): An excellent hotel in a magnificent location. - This was an excellent hotel in every way. Our accessible room was first class, the staff were lovely and the food was very good. I see that the Inn is stated by Hotels.com as being in Inverness but, while it has an Inverness Post Code, it is around 60 miles from Inverness and this information should be stated prominently on your site.The hotel is an ideal stopping place on the route from Inverness to Skye.

- SOConnor (8/5): - A new little Inn. Stayed on our way from Glen Coe to Skye and found it to be a little gem. Beautiful location, Nicely decorated, good size rooms with comfortable beds and good linens. All brand new as just opened. Pub was nice and we had a good meal. Dining room not quite open but looks like it will be soon Given it was new, staff still had a few things they were learning, but nothing that they couldn’t sort out and were gracious about all. Highly recommend.
- CanadaSean (8/5): - Great new hotel in the highlands. Perfect place to stop for a rest and a bite to eat. Good looking clean hotel, good meals, beautiful scenery. Room was a little loud with guests rolling theirs bags down the hall on the stone floors.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Inn has recently been refurbished to a high standard and the rooms are spotlessly clean and well appointed. Reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant was excellent, although it seems clear that some of the staff are new to the role, with the result our starters and main course arrived at the same time. Bar staff are very approachable and able to give recommendations about the large selection of Scottish Whisky on offer.

- Jacqueline (10/5): Room with a view! - Lovely character hotel in stunning surroundings. Our room was well furnished and well equipped. Friendly staff, great food, out of the way but good road access. There is even a fuel station should you need it. Amazing iwildlife! Wish we had longer there.

Chrissy the Duty Manager catered to our every alcoholic need :) excellent base for hill walkers with 21 Munros easily accessible. We did 7, so the pints of Heverlee and 100 hundred whiskeys on offer were well deserved. We’ll see you again.
- Kathleen (10/5): Red deer and good food. - Lovely small hotel just west of Eileen Donan castle. Room was lovely, comfortable and quiet, dinner and breakfast were good and got to see a bunch of red deer grazing around the hotel.

- Mary (10/5): - This hotel is a good stop between isle of skye and Inverness. We loved a 2 night stay there visiting Inverness, loch loman and Urquart castle, and colloden battlefield. Wonderful, large room overlooking the moor bordering Loch Cluanie and fantastic Mountain View’s. We were entertained each day by a herd (about 12) of deer that boldly invaded the lawn outside our window. We sat for an hour or so just enjoying the deer and the beautiful view. The room was great (great jacuzzi tub but just hand held shower). All of the people who assisted our stay were friendly, and went beyond to help when needed. Breakfast was great. They helped enable an early departure on final day. This inn would definitely be on my return to list.
- Christopher (10/5): Great spot - Amazing location off the main road with a great view of the Highlands and Loch Claunie. To top it off they have a good restaurant on site with good beer and whiskeys available.
- Allan (10/5): - For a hotel in the middle of nowhere this was surprisingly good. The TV and internet were via satellite because of the remoteness and both of these services were very good. The food was of a good quality and well presented. Looking out our window of our room we saw about 10 - 12 deer resting and chewing their cud only a few meters away. The scenery in the area is breathtaking. We had a wonderful stay.
- John (2/5): - Terrible experience. Place under construction. Bad smell in the hallways. Rooms old. Can't check in late, place is locked up. Facilities worn out.
- Joel (2/5): Terrible hotel - Booked for our wedding night. Was the most expensive room of our trip yet the worst by far. They did not stalk towels so the sauna and hot tub I paid for was pointless as we checked in late after our wedding party and no one was at the desk to get us towels. The garbages were not emptied from the previous guests. The toilet had not been flushed. I had to kill 8 spiders that were crawling around on the ceiling and you could see webbing in the room so they had been there for a while. The linen provided on the bed was old and dated and the bed was not made properly when we arrived. We honestly were going to leave in the middle of the night but we couldn't because they lock the front door from the inside essentially trapping guests inside. If there was an alternative route out they didn't bother to explain that to anyone. Absolutely worst stay I have ever had in scotland stay away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cluanie Inn - Firstly, we arrived late due to torrential rains and heavy thunderstorm while driving on treacherously winding roads. The man on duty was extremely amazing and made us ham and cheese sandwiches which were awaiting our arrival. Breakfast was very good in a cozy setting. The room and bathroom were clean, however, we stayed in a detached building and the window had been left open, as there is no air conditioning, and spiders and insects were all over the ceiling and walls near the windows, and on the windows. After about 30 minutes of removing all we could see, we finally settled down and were able to relax and get a decent night's sleep. If you're visiting during warm months, have them keep the window shut to this room and maybe provide a fan, as it was a bit warm, but we had to shut the window to keep out the spiders and insects.
