Guest Reviews
- olof (10/5): - Great view. Probably the best in Saint Emilion. Very nice room in traditional style.
- Sergey (10/5): - Great views from the room and very convenient location. Thank you.
- James (6/5): - Just a room and pricey
- Craig (2/5): - Not once in any communication was it made known that this is a B&B not a hotel. No parking within 3 blocks. No door to the shower and sink room . Toilet in a separate room. One trash can for the entire room that was the size of an ice bucket! Host was only available between 5-7 pm.
- Fiona (6/5): Our stay in St. Emilion. - Issues with payment not being transferred by Expedia. The manager did not think we were staying. She was not happy. We repaid for our room & are now seeking a refund for our deposit. The location & room was actually lovely with a beautiful bathroom & the softest of towels.
- Anita (8/5): - The house was amazing and classy, but was a bit far away from the station, about 20 min walk. Particularly we had a big suitcase and it was not easy to walk on the paving stone road. However, the house was quiet and easy access to the town center. We were located on the ground floor, so a bit worried and felt uneasy during the night.
- Richard (8/5): - The property was so beautiful. The staff was also super friendly. The property was hard to find and there was no parking. The town is beautiful but sort of touristy.
- Conor (8/5): - Creaking floor in an attic room wasn’t great.
Nice view from the window, if you were very small.
Tricky staircase to deal with and very low ceilings in corridor.
Looked like a fabulous room was unoccupied on ground floor but we weren’t offered it (even for a price)
Hostess nice and helpful but no English.
Continental breakfast was nice.
Great location
- Karsten (4/5): - Waited a hour for the hostess to show up and let us on.
- Patrick (10/5): Gorgeous old world stay in Saint-Émilion. - Logis des Cordeliers is a stunning old building and a gorgeous place to stay in Saint-Émilion. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
- Colette (10/5): - The hotel is restored lovingly with a great view of St. Emillion. It's tricky to find the hotel and GPS had a hard time figuring out which tiny street to turn on to but we eventually found it. Parking is limited - we were extremely lucky and got one close by. The only thing I'd recommend is having a cold breakfast of croissants or something made available as the restaurant that the owner recommended was closed when we left. After walking around we found a little Tabac shop that served coffee and croissants.
- Elspeth (10/5): - A charming bed and breakfast in a beautiful village. Our hostess was very attentive and helpful. The bedroom was large and beautifully but simply decorated in a sympathetic style to the old building. The location was central to the main attractions. The only slight negative was there was no view over the town and vineyards from our room.
- Jenny (8/5): - The view from our room was amazing. It is also right in the center of the village so you are close to everything.
- Sona (10/5): - Lovely property . The owner was very friendly and helpful. Situated in an ideal part of the village where everything is a walking distance away.
Very spacious room tall ceilings.
Just one oddity there was no door to the toilet/shower room.
- Gail (10/5): - Place was great.
- DAVID (8/5): - Not a bad little spot. Pretty expensive for what you get. Check in time is only 5pm - 7pm which is not convenient. There was no door to the bathroom in our room which is uncomfortable.
View is good. Location is good.
- Robert (8/5): - Wurden sehr freundlich empfangen.
- Karen (8/5): - Property is in a great location and very clean with convenient carpark. A little pricey without breakfast or any amenities included. No place in town to get breakfast either which i thought would be easy. Room is large and nice. Some mixup with payment prior to check in that caused some angst as i was told my room would be cancelled. Overall a good room.
- Kevin (10/5): - Stunning property in an outstanding location.
- Susan (10/5): - Very atmospheric stone building. Nice comfortable bed in a spacious room, modern bathroom and shower. Great location from which to explore St Emilion. Was a little challenging to find, with metered parking a few hundred meters away. Although our French speaking is not good and the greeter did not speak any English, we did just fine and everything went according to plan. Les Cordeliers wine tasting store just 10 feet across the lane, so if you are here for the wine, and we were, this is a perfect spot. Very convenient location to wander the village on foot, with many cafes and restaurants and most importantly, very many wine shops. We prefer to test wines this way as we don't wish to drink and drive, and there were many wine stores willing and eager to offer us wine tastings of St Emilion wines. We found some nice shops with knowledgeable owners who helped us zero in on wine profiles we like, and after tasting several different vintners wines we purchased a couple of cases to ship back to the USA. St Emilion is a lovely historic village, a jewel in the crown of Bordeaux wine culture, surrounded by vineyards and many opportunities to try them wine. After a full day of wine tasting, we enjoyed a stroll around the village perimeter, wandering past ruins, vineyards and nice vistas. Logis des Cordeliers was a perfect base for our wine centric purposes.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Appartement conforme a l'attendu.
Tres bien
- Angus (10/5): Perfect location - Brilliant location, very nice room with an excellent view and reasonable price. The only downside we cared about was the lack of air con though it was a particularly hot few days (~34C). The staff kindly left us an additional fan which was great!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Amazing location in St Emillion - Our room, la chambre du roy, was beautiful with high ceiling, original stone walls and an amazing view of all St Emillion. The new bathroom was perfectly adequate. We were served a delicious and copious breakfast for 12 euros each.
Our only issues with this property is the strict check-in time of 5pm. We found it to be inconvenient.
- Jean-Charles B. (10/5): Good - Good experience
- Verified traveler (2/5): Think wisely - Terrible absentee manager. Impossible to get information. Refused to clean room despite the fact no other guests were even in the hotel. Not a B&B at all, more like Air BB...cute building and nice views but be forewarned - this is not a hotel.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Wonderful! The late check in was tough but the host was very nice and friendly. Very nice views from the room.
- Laura (8/5): Delightful Hotel With Character - We loved this hotel! It was delightful and perfectly located. The only downside was that because the sign says “B &B”, and Valerie asked if we wanted breakfast, we assumed it was included in the price, which it’s not. We would have passed and found an espresso somewhere in town if we had known. We would totally stay there again though!
- Nancy (10/5): Loved this B&B - Wonderful! Loved our room and the view was breathtaking! Valerie spoke little English but she managed to be very helpful in spite of that! Room was cool and comfortable on a very warm humid day. We took her advice on restaurants for dinner and were very pleased. Breakfast was lovely and the location is great! Nothing negative to say, all positive!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful property. Parking is a real problem. And a little confusing trying to get to the B&B. I also think a 5 o’clock check-in is a little late. Would expect with a bed and breakfast that breakfast would be included in your price and not an additional cost
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay in the center! - Perfect stay in the middle of the city. Close to everything. Easy to check in and out. We stayed for one night and that was good.
- Diana (10/5): Wondergul views - Situated at the top of the village with magnificent views. Received a very warm welcome from the owner.
- Jane (8/5): Great location, private and comfortable - A very easy walk to all the monuments, shops and restaurants. Quiet and private. Room cleaned each day.
- Kieran (10/5): Lovely accommodation at the heart of St Emillion - Great facility in a brilliant location. However I did have the best room (Roy). Very tasteful and clean. Great for a short stay.
- James (10/5): A gem in St. Emilion - Lovely small hotel in the heart of St. Emilion. Had a fabulous view of the town from our room. Close walking distance to the whole village. Would highly recommend.
- David (8/5): Good value, authentic rooms in St Emillion - Lovely place to stay right in the heart of St Emillion and experience the town for an evening when the crowds have gone. This small hotel was a lovely authentic place to stay and has been refurbished to a high standard but kept it's charm. Would suggest calling ahead to advise on your arrival time as no one there when we arrived. Room was very large and great for one night but probably lacked a few comforts (eg comfy seat or two) if we had been staying longer but guess most people don't stay more than 1 night. Good value for money.
- Jessie (10/5): Gorgeous property - Beautiful property and a very relaxing stay. They were very communicative before we arrived and helped arrange reservations at Chateaux and restaurants not only in the immediate area but at our next location as well. There isn’t much in the immediate area (except for the Chateaux) and nothing is open late so this really helped make the most of our stay and set expectations. Reataurant was excellent as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I cried when u entered our room with a view. Too beautiful!
- Olgun (10/5): Great Location, Beautiful house - A lovely place in a super convenient place, massive room. Didn’t want to leave,
- Soledad (8/5): Nice and romantic place to stay - Good and helpful staff.
Hotel needs ac and better hair dryer, also could use new towels?
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very nice B&B in the beautiful town of Saint-Emilion. Our flight was very early, so we arrived before check-in, but was able to get our room very quickly. Centrally located, as the town is very small, with a nice breakfast included the next morning. A great staff and a quaint room that I would highly recommend.
