Guest Reviews
- Ruth (10/5): I hope to return some day! - Lovely place. I was glad I had my backpack instead of roller bag so I could use the lovely footpath to walk from the bus stop. Breakfast was custom made and delicious. Just a little issue with the toilet in my room—the handle had to be pumped multiple times before a flush occurred.
- Jessica (9/5): -
- Pat (8/5): I am glad I visited the area. Local people were very generous and kind! - Breakfast was very good. The buffet had a wide selection of fruits. Yogurt, cereals etc. The cooked breakfast was great. Public transport - not the fault of the host! I made the mistake of booking when I thought I would drive down, but decided instead to come on the train. There is a distinct lack of public transport between some of the towns/ villages.
- Barbara (10/5): - Great breakfast. Lovely bedroom and generous with tea, coffee etc. Quiet. I liked the communal lounge downstairs. Pub in the village had good food. I liked walking out of the door and being at the coastal path within about 20 minutes.
Love it!!!!
- Sikorski (9/5): Perfect starting point to visit Land’s End and the coast. - Fantastic location! Very clean with superb service. Nothing.
- Anne-Marie (10/5): Fantastic stay! Will definitely return. - Wonderful room. Very well equipped. Very quiet location, yet very near to local village square. N/A
- Vaughan (10/5): -
- Robin (10/5): Brilliant! - Excellent breakfast
V tasty
- Rohan (9/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): - The bed linen and towels were excellent quality and the breakfasts offered so much choice and were both generous and delicious. -

- Francesca (9/5): -
- David (8/5): - N/A
- Julie (10/5): Amazing stay in a beautiful location for coastal walks, with an outstanding breakfast - Location, room exceptionally clean, amazing breakfast, fresh local produce, home made yogurt and preserves, really lovely, good quality towels and bedding Nothing
- Alison (10/5): - very good choice and very good quality food . Polite , friendly and helpful hostess.
- Christoph (7/5): -
- Kim (8/5): - Very comfortable and clean. Nice breakfast. We were in room 6 and the en-suite was particularly small. Would stay again.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (8/5): Tranquil, easygoing and hassle free - It’s clean, the room we had was spacious. The area is very tranquil. The breakfast was a really good spread. Plenty of parking available. For me, the mattress was a little too soft; I’m a heavy gent so take that woth a pinch of salt for your booking
- Julian (7/5): Very nice couple of nights in a good location. - Great location, it was so quiet at night. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was great. The place had a 1980s B&B feel to it which made our stay feel like time travel. The hot water pressure wasn’t great so having a shower was just about doable.
- Gorczyca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sonia (10/5): Solo traveller from Bristol. - Friendly and relaxed atmosphere in a quiet countryside location with lovely beaches within 10 mins drive.
Very clean. Good quality guest house with great breakfast;so much to choose from and included in the price ( rare these days). Ample free parking on the property. Nothing not to like. Tip: I ate out after my trip to the beach before returning in the evening, rather than going back out to eat. (Personal choice). Although there are plenty of places to eat in St Just, about 5mins drive away.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacinta (10/5): Brilliant BnB great for a base for the SW Track - This was a classic BnB of highest standard. We were upgraded as the booked room unavailable. Super comfy beds and amazing breakfast great for the southwest path It’s a shame that the nearby pubs were not of the same culinary standard
- Ken (10/5): - Welcoming host.Large comfortable, quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Convenient for exploring coast path and industrial heritage.
- Andrea (7/5): Good - Great breakfast in a lovely setting
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - A lot of attention to detail throughout the guest house. Very comfortable and modern in a character building. Great breakfast with at least 4 types of fresh fruit etc. The landlady was nice, but could have been a bit friendlier.
More hot breakfast options. Would be good eg eggs benedict.
A little way out of St Just, so a car is essential
- Frank (8/5): Pleasant stay - I’ve done that above Dated decor
- Kay (8/5): Very good -
- Janet (8/5): Comfortable - the location was good. I needed an early breakfast because I had an early flight to the Scilly Isles. However as it was before 8am I had to make do with a cold buffet instead of my prefered full english.
- Seasidegirl (8/5): Great stay! - Great accommodation in a quiet location, a short walk to the village. We managed to catch buses around the area from there, although having a car may have been easier. The room was very comfortable and had ample tea and coffee which I appreciate. The breakfast was very good and the guest house is charming.
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Glyn (10/5): A great place to stay - A beautiful guest house, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Great service and fantastic breakfasts. Would definitely recommend. Ample parking space for guests. A great location, just outside St. Just. A variety of eating places nearby. The Queen's Arms in Bottalack is highly recommended Nothing
- Nigel (9/5): Superb - Nice peaceful location. Had the best nights sleep in a nice comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good and catered very well for my wife’s gluten free requirements. Dog friendly owners. A good base to visit the sights of west Cornwall
- Tomasz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rosana (10/5): Best place to stay in south cornwall - Best british breakfast ever. The host was lovely and helpfull
- Calin (9/5): Superb - Room was nice and clean. Only a short walk away from town centre and not too far from the costal path which was the main reason for my stay. Oh, and the breakfast was really nice too.
- Barry (9/5): Superb -
- Rolandas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jane (2/5): Never to be repeated. - The Landlady was brusque, disinterested and rude.
- Nicolò (10/5): Feeling at home far from home - Bosavern House is the perfect solution for any visitor in Cornwall. The position is amazing, the house is nestled near some of the best spots there, and the staff and breakfasts were really flawless
- Leith (10/5): Exceptional - Loved this accommodation, the house was lovely and Helen was very helpful. The breakfast was amazing!
- Paula (10/5): Excellent - Clean and comfortable Next time would have a bigger room.
- Dailidenas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Location, view, care, cleanliness and breakfast were amazing. Bathroom was a little small but well appointed. Only stairs to reach room as would be expected.
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathon (9/5): Great place to stay, lovely breakfast comfy bed. - Great location, superb breakfast with plenty of choice, very helpful hosts We stayed in the small double room,it was very small! ,okay for 2 nights but any longer would have been uncomfortable
- John (9/5): A very good place to stay and perfectly placed for exploring Penwith - A very well run B&B, spotlessly clean, everything worked and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing
- Victoria (7/5): Great location, good host, wonderful place. - Breakfast was good, good selection of fruits and cereals. Helen accommodated my dietary requirements well. The room was small for 2 people, ideally should be kept as a single.
- Leisa (8/5): Very good - The breakfasts were amazing. Lots of choice. The room was fine for our needs (small double). Good parking facilities. Helen was lovely and very informative about the local area. The main lounge area was not used by any guests. They do have bar facilities but that too was never used even though it was well stocked. Seems a waste of a lovely space.
- Ion-marius (7/5): Good - Our room was clean and tidy, the host was helpful and warm at the beginning, various and healthy choices on the breakfast menu to satisfy your taste, convenient location from main attractions in the area. The host could have been more interested if we liked it or not, weird feeling in the end...almost careless about our experience in Bosavern House.
- Claire (8/5): very enjoyable couple of days, could advertise a variety of eating places? - Delicious breakfast, lovely guests a simple bright unpretentious hotel easy walk into St Just and access to the coast path straight from the hotel. we went for the smaller double so it was a bit cramped but fine for the reasonable price.
- Kamila (10/5): Good value for money, good location - Good location , nice and quiet , fresh breakfast , helpful staff
- Murdoch (10/5): This was my third visit. I keep returning because the hostess is so lovely and helpful . - The location is very good, only a short drive to Cape Cornwall and the Cornish coast path. St Ives Sennen Cove and Lands end are also easily reached as are the Minack Theatre and Trengwainton Gardens. I can't think of anything that could be better, it was all excellent.
- Stella (10/5): This was a welcome base for our trip offering comfort and a great location. - Simple, welcoming, lovely sheets and towels. We enjoyed the window seats. The breakfast menu was varied, and it was a treat to have smoked haddock. The fresh fruit and yoghurt in the morning were exceedingly good. The location was perfect for us.
- Hughes (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was excellent, the room was lovely and the tv had Netflix and Amazon Prime apps so I could watch my favourite tv shows. The only complaint is the heating was not turned on in the evening only in the morning
- Everton (7/5): Good -
- Anoopkumar (9/5): Superb - Very nice location. Good breakfast with different options.
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional - The house is clean and in a great location. The owners were lovely. We could really relax there.
- Olivia (10/5): Exceptional - Boasvern House is a beautiful place and Helen and Martin make you feel very welcome. The breakfast is delicious, I loved the huge variety of fresh fruit and can recommend trying the smoked haddock! The B & B is located a nice 10 minute walk outside of St Just and just up the valley from the coast. Since I had a bit of trouble with public transportation during my stay Martin even drove me to the start point for my hike - that was just great!
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ulrich (9/5): beautifully situated, extremely helpful and accommodating staff - best ever breakfast, fresh fruit heaven, best ever choice with cheese and ham as well ! Choice of hot breakfast individually and freshly prepared. Water, biscuits and kettle facilities perfect in our room were perfect ! everything was perfect !
- Nick (9/5): Great B and B - Great hosts, and the breakfast was outstanding. Thank Helen
- Joash (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gaye (9/5): Very comfortable and relaxing accommodation, friendly and helpful owners. - Easy to find, perfect location for exploring the Lands End peninsula. Very generous portions at breakfast, excellent selection and vegetarian alternative particularly good. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
- Diane (10/5): Exceptional - We loved the room and the general vibe of the house. Breakfast was exceptional....such a beautiful range of fresh fruit.
Location was excellent to see the surrounding sites...LansEnd, StJust, St Ives. Loved the Coastal bus Nothing
- Clare (10/5): Great guest house - would definitely stay again if in the area - Room was well appointed and comfortable with everything required such as tea/coffee/water/hair dryer/shampoo/shower gel. Breakfast excellent. Comfortable bed and quiet location so a good night's sleep was had. Bosavern is central to the far SW region so is convenient for exploring the area
- Jeanette (10/5): - Liked the style and comfort of the old house. Exceptionally good breakfast. Pleasant welcome.
Convenient for Minack Theatre and other local attractions.
One thing to be aware is that bedroom 1 is not en suite, although the separate bathroom is super.
- Shweta (3/5): Not worth the price we paid - The rooms were cute The host wasn’t too accommodating. The enemies were low.
