- Ivan (10/5): Perfect Location and a Truly Memorable Stay - If you want to stay right in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Urgoo Hotel is an excellent choice. It’s incredibly close to the city’s main landmarks — just 100 meters from the National Museum of Mongolian History, 200 meters from the Chinggis Khan Statue, and about 400 meters from Sukhbaatar Square and the Parliament. The Chinggis Khaan Museum is only a short walk away as well, and I highly recommend visiting it. Our bed was surprisingly low and firm — the mattress was barely 15-20 cm off the ground — but still comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. The bathroom was modern, though the shower had several switches and digital controls that took me a moment to figure out. Breakfast is served restaurant-style rather than as a buffet: you order from a menu and wait for your meal to be brought to your table. Everything we tried was delicious and refined. Overall, a wonderful stay. Fully recommended. P.S. One quirky detail: the Chinggis Khaan International Airport — named after, you guessed it, the country’s most famous historical figure — is extremely far from the city centre, roughly 52 km away!

- Yanfeng (8/5): Overall above average experience - Central location. Amazing staff. Good room size. Bed was not very comfortable. Mattress was hard and only two pillows were offered. The height of the bed frame was pretty low, and my head could hit the switch on the wall when sleeping.

El restaurant de abajo tenía mucha variedad, comida Mongol como también occidental. La chica que estaba en la recepción durante el día fue muy amable con nosotros y hablaba muy bien inglés La ducha era muy mala, tenía poca presión y no calentaba bien. Dado que fui en invierno, el hecho de que el agua saliera fría fue un gran problema. Me pareció un hotel bastante caro para que no tuviera un buen baño. A veces la recepción queda vacía y teníamos que esperar hasta que alguien apareciera.

- Heinrich (5/5): Preiswerte Übernachtung für eine Nacht - Gefallen hat uns die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Wir waren dringend auf einen Shuttle zwischen Flughafen und Hotel angewiesen. Die Vermittlung durch das Hotel hat hervorragend geklappt. Weil wir nur eine Nacht blieben, mussten wir am anderen Morgen früh zum Flughafen wieder los. Frühstück gab es um 5 Uhr natürlich noch nicht, aber jeweils ein Sandwich mit einer Flasche Wasser. Auch der Shuttle wurde zu unserer Zufriedenheit wieder bestellt und war pünktlich vor Ort. Der Preis von 110.000 MNT war korrekt. Die Betten waren frisch bezogen, die Hand- und Badetücher waren frisch gewaschen. Das Urgoo Hotel liegt ca. 17 km vom neuen Flughafen entfernt im Stadtzentrum von Ulan Baator. Für die 17 km brauchten wir 3 Stunden. Für den täglichen Stau ist das Hotel nicht verantwortlich. Als wir ankamen, bekamen wir ein Upgrade auf ein größeres Zimmer: Wohn- und Schlafzimmer. Was nicht schön war: Es war kalt. Außen minus 5 Grad! Im Raum stand ein elektrischer Radiator, den hätte man vor unserer Ankunft anmachen können. So dauerte es, bis der große Raum etwas wärmer wurde. Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen. Und so sah unser Zimmer auch aus: abgewohnte Wohnzimmermöbel und ein fleckiger Teppichboden. Im Bad wurde das Wasser, das zunächst rostbraun aus der Leitung kam, nur lauwarm. Zum Duschen war mir das zu kalt.

Ansonsten frage ich mich, warum Booking.com mit einem Partner auf einem derart niedrigen Niveau kooperiert. Wurde das Haus nicht vor Vertragsabschluss inspiziert? Der schriftlich vereinbarte Airport-Shuttle kam nicht zur Abholung. Die Bettwäsche war bei Ankunft verschmutzt und wurde ausgetauscht. Das Frühstück war ärmlich (Toast, Marmelade und Tee) mehr nicht! Mehrbestellung war angeblich nicht möglich! Aufgrund nicht gegebener Sprachkenntnisse des Personals wurde über Sprach-App kommuniziert. Den zweiten gebuchten Aufenthalt bei der Rückreise haben wir storniert. Empfehlung: Diese Haus unbedingt meiden.

No one at the reception desk, had to wait a while for someone to check us in. Hotel charged me higher than booking price upon checkin. Shower had hot water, but the shower head is high up and directed towards the curtain and the wall so you cannot turn on the water to shower unless you hold it the whole time, otherwise water will be everywhere. Breakfast was late, we had a time sensitive morning departure.

- sakura (7/5): Great location but run down hotel. - The location was excellent. It was right next to sukhbaatar square and there were good options just next to our hotel. Walking distance to the museums and shops. The hotel was very run down. The showerhead broke but as it was already night time when we checked in, we didn't want the hassle of changing rooms so we ended up washing our hair under the tap. Breakfast was served in our room and it was OK. Communication was also OK since there was an English speaking staff. 1 night here was fine but I wouldn't stay longer.

- WOONGBAE (10/5): 완벽한 위치, 친절한 서비스 - 위치가 너무 좋았습니다. 광장이랑도 너무 가까웠고, 박물관이나 백화점이랑도 거리가 다 가까웠어요. 직원분도 영어도 잘하시고 너무 친절하게 대해주셔서 기분이 좋았습니다. 조식도 바로 만들어서 주셔서 따뜻하고 맛있게 너무 잘먹었습니다. 그리고 호텔 떠나는날 택시도 직접 불러주셨어요. 택시 탑승까지 확인하시고 가주신 직원님께 너무 감사합니다. 화장실 수압이 약해서 아쉬웠습니다. 그리고 방이 조금 어두워서 화장하기에 조금 불편했습니다.

- Regina (5/5): Die Lage ist perfekt, Frühstück gut, ansonsten alles alt, fleckig, abgenutzt. - Frühstück war sehr gut - allerdings muss man am Vortag genau eine Option ankreuzen - z.B „Egg“ Oder Oatmeal“ …man hat keine Ahnung, ob das mit Obst kommt oder ob es noch was dazu gibt Alles extrem alt !! Böden abgenutzt und mit Flecken - Wasserfleck auf der Decke, Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen und es hat nach Zigarette gerochen .

Man erwartet sich wenigstens an der Rezeption etwas Basis Emglisch. Der Bursche an der Rezeption hat geschlafen, wir mussten ihn aufwecken lassen und dann richtete er uns das Frühstück..wir musdten am Tag zuvor die Zeit und die Auswahl des Frühstücks angeben. Sie hatten nicht einmal Jam zum leerenToast. Begründung :alles aus Fairerweise muss man allerdings hinzufügen am dritten Tag war alles besser : neues Personal. Besseres Frühstück. Das ganze Hotel gehört einfach renoviert, die tolle Lage entschädigt nicht die Mängel

- Goessner (8/5): - Das Hotel ist nah bei dem berühmten Denkmal von DschingisKhan. In der Nähe sind Restaurants, Biergärten und selbst ein Striplokal kann man entdecken. Man kann im Hotel kein Geld umtauschen.

- lachlaninnz (10/5): - There are many things that make Urgoo Hotel an excellent choice: It's on a pretty street next to restaurants and less than 5 minutes walk from Sukbaatar Square (which incidentally is also the terminus for the airport bus); breakfast options are good; and rooms are spacious and comfortable. I arrived in Ulaanbaatar very unwell, and staff went out of their way to ensure I was properly cared for in every way (water, food, healthcare) while I recovered. I was so grateful for that, especially as I was travelling solo.
- Paul (10/5): Perfect location for a short stay in Ulaanbaatar - Breakfast was served until 11, and was delivered to the room, which had a small kitchen for making tea and coffee. The location was great - very central (opposite the old museum and close to the new Chinggis Khan museum) and close to a small street packed with bars and restaurants.
- kazuko (5/5): コンパクトで必要十分なホテル - スフバートル広場に近く便利な立地。リビングエリアのある広い部屋で値段はリーゾナブルでした。朝食は前日にメニューを指定。シンプルですがじゅうぶん美味しくいただきました。英語はあまり通じないものの致命的に困るようなことはなかったです。 お湯が出るのはシャワーブースのみで、水圧は弱い。冬は辛いか？

- David (8/5): - Mostly great - friendly staff, a nice breakfast, good wifi speed for conference calls and a comfortable bed. Really couldn't ask for much more. No hot water in the bathroom (Room 404). Not fixed during my stay, but they did organise for me to shower in another (unoccupied) room when I needed. This worked out fine, but was a bit of a hassle. A larger mug / cup would have been good for tea / coffee.
- Al-shezawi (9/5): Great visit - The receptionists are very friendly and supportive. The place may be too authentic. But overall a good experience.
- Aiko (8/5): - 朝食を選ぶスタイルでいくつかありました。 ウランバートル広場が徒歩3分くらいで近くてよいです。コンビニもいくつかありました。 お風呂のお湯はでません。シャワーは温度調節ができたので良かったです。
